Spruce Up Northwest replaced our home's roof this summer and they did a beautiful job. Our first experience with them was an emergency roof repair last winter and they were very responsive and fixed it the first visit.

During the replacement project they were organized, great communication and planning and our roof is beautiful. We appreciated their attention to detail and courtesy while working at our house. The thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day, including no nails screws etc in our gravel driveway. I highly recommend them for residential roofing installation and repairs.

Spruce Up was recommended by our solar contractor, and I think we made a good decision. Their bid was not the lowest, but as we saw how careful and thorough they were in evaluating the job, we thought they'd be good.
It was reasonably easy to be in touch with them to decide details (for example, having them take off our old, non-working solar panels). Scheduling roofing in Oregon in the winter can be a challenge due to rain, but they kept us aware of the timeline.
The crew worked long hours and seemed to be careful. The roof looks really good.
We're a bit up there in years and hope we never need another roof, but we'd definitely recommend this company to our friends.

Ramon & Shannon made the estimation and scheduling process very easy. We had two leaks in our Manufactured Home, so they prioritized our work over other jobs. The Crew was great! Invited me up for damage inspection and shared recommendations. We ended up having to replace 72% of the sheeting due to mold, but the job was done right. Looked so good, we extended the project to the carport. These are your Guys for roofing.

Ramón and his crew were terrific--very responsive, did a great job, and fully cleaned up afterwards. I had a time-sensitive issue, and Ramón got it taken care of before it grew into a much much bigger issue. Plus, he and his crew were so skilled that they were able to save my gutters, saving me almost 50% on the final repair. I especially appreciated Ramón's patience with my questions as a first-time homeowner.

Spruce Up completed our roof project in January. We were impressed by the quality of their work and the detailed craftsmanship. They also were meticulous about cleaning up debris left around our yard from stray roofing materials.

Their price to replace our existing roof with a 50 year roof was comparable to some other estimates we received for 30 year replacements from other companies. We really appreciates that we were kept in the loop about when materials were going to be delivered and when a crew would be coming. There was a bit of a wait to get started (it was worth it!). Once the process was started it took the crew less than 2 days to complete the job - they showed up in the morning and worked the whole time they had light. The crew was obviously very good at their job. They cleaned up all the debris and when they left, all we had was a new roof to admire. I’d recommend them to anyone needing a roof or repair.

Ramon does good work, been recommending him to clients for a while. Quality work, but a few critiques have to be mentioned:

The workers showed up early in the morning and decided to rip up my garden in front of where they wanted to put their ladders. Luckily, they needed to go anyway, but they didn't know that. Very risky pulling up gardens in PDX.

Lastly, communication is quite poor. I think they're overwhelmed. Responses sometimes took weeks. Too much for a husband and wife team.

You guys do great work - make sure your crews don't take too many liberties and you don't take on more projects than you can manage. Reel it in a bit and it will be 5 stars going forward.

Let me start of by saying I am a State Farm Agent, and I see dozens of clients every year that need to replace their roof either from loss or from wear and tear. Several of my clients used Ramon and his team and they could not have been happier. Believe me this is rare!

I decided to put them to the test, and I used them on my rental property. First, they fit my roof replacement into my schedule. They showed me the flaws in my roof and how they would fix it. They showed up on time and worked two days from 7am to 6pm (nonstop) to remove both layers, replace 30 sheets of plywood, re-vent my roof and gave me an amazing new roof!

Very happy with the repairs they did on my leaking roof. Really appreciated how fast they came and looked at it and stopped the leak that day. Ramon was very professional on his initial visit. The guys showed up and worked hard both days they were at my house. The areas surrounding the house were left clean and tidy. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely use Spruce Up Northwest again.

Absolutely fantastic! We needed a new roof before our solar panels could be installed. We got estimates from five different companies, and we couldn't be happier about our decision to work with Spruce Up. Our roof looks SO good, and we are really excited about having ridge vents to help mitigate the summer heat.

Ramon did a pre-inspection before providing an estimate, and took the time to talk at length about a few different questions and concerns. The crew was amazing too; hard working, very friendly, and cleaned up after themselves every day. I had a few questions after the job was complete, and Ramon once again took the time to call and ensure everything was addressed.

We weren't looking for the lowest bidder, but it turned out to be them anyway. They do great work, use very high quality products, and do it all at a great price (I would actually recommend they increase their prices a little!). We learned of Spruce Up NW from a post on "Nextdoor" so decided to get a quote from them. It was considerably cheaper than the other two major roofing companies we received quotes from and we received it from Ramon right away. We just had the biggest rain of the year and I checked for leaks and can't find any thankfully. So I am very pleased with the job they did and they even installed a new skylight since the old one use to leak and so no leaking problems now. Ramon was very easy to work with and was very accommodating throughout the process and I would definitely recommend his roofing services to anyone needing a roof replacement.

From the estimate visit to the completion of the installation of the gutters, the service was top-notch. Tristan was consistently communicative, always answering my questions in a timely manner. I wasn't able to hire them for my project, unfortunately, but their consultation and inspection were exceptionally professional and generous. They were even encouraging that I could do this particular job myself if I wanted (based on my other work) and gave me a tube of the sealant they recommended. I'm definitely keeping them on my short-list for future projects!

This crew showed up every day at seven or before and worked hard until they were finished for the day with hardly a break. Each.
Day they cleaned up after themselves and left the job site tidy. They were pleasant to deal width and I would be glad to have them back if I ever needed a roof and would be glad to refer them to someone else.

Great re-roofing job by Ramon and crew! Communications with Spruce Up office (Shannon) were timely and excellent regarding project scope, cost, warranties, contracting, and roofing material quality. Ramon visited our roof and attic before making an estimate, so that his estimate reflected knowledge of existing roof condition and work site conditions. Ramon also did a walk through with me when job completed, answered questions I had. Project completed in less than a week from start date. Overall, great experience, I recommend Spruce Up NW!

I love this business and the crew who replaced my roof and skylights in July 2024. It's a beautiful silverwood color which is also what my next door neighbor had Spruce Up Northwest put on his house. Spruce Up was our mid-range price point from the quotes, but we were inspired by Ramon's confidence and kind expertise. We had a slight miscommunication (bad cell service), where I thought he was going to drop materials and start a day or two later, no that meant the start of our work. They finished our tiny cape cod in a little more than a day and a half. And, we tested our roof that evening with a downpour (no leaks, and the same level of sound as before our full tear off).

Absolute excellent service. I have a 3 1/2 year old roof that was installed incorrectly by another local roofing company resulting in 2 big leaks. Spruce Up Northwest came out and corrected the issues. They have also done other work for us on our shop roof and gutter cleaning. Highly recommend them for roofing services.

Ramon and Spruce Up NW are absolutely great to work with. Spruce Up did an excellent job on my small bungalow metal roof replacement, and I couldn’t be happier. Ramon is one of those guys I trusted immediately, offering straight up advice, and giving a fair bid I was comfortable with. I pretty much knew immediately I was going to go with Spruce Up, but I did take 3 other bids because I said I would, (and rejected several others from even bidding). They left everything cleaner than when they started, too. Great team. Highly recommended.

We are extremely happy with the work Ramon and his crew did for us. We have an octagonal house with varied roof heights and wanted to replace our old composite roof with metal. It looks fantastic! They also wrapped fascia in metal and tucked flashing into places I didn't know flashing could go. I am confident this will be the last roof we buy and it was all for a VERY reasonable price. Having to get a new roof can be very stressful and it’s certainly not cheap, but Spruce Up NW made it as painless and stress free as it could possibly be!
Extremely courteous and very attentive, they got my new roof installed in one day. The workmanship and attention to detail is second to none. They had to install new skylights and repair a hole in the roof and still only took one day.
Additionally, the price was very competitive (I got 3 different estimates) and I felt good giving my money to a company I can trust. Ramon is a great guy and his crew were extremely professional and really good at what they do!

So professional and so nice. Ramon came out to look at our roof after a storm this spring took out a piece of it. He was very nice, knowledgeable and honest. All the qualities you want! After the initial inspection and estimate was provided, a crew came out shortly after to complete the repair. They were very nice and professional as well. The work was quality and efficient. I got 7 quotes and to compare prices. More so I compared their service and how they treated a potential customer. Ramon was kind, explained everything and did not try to up sell products we didn’t need. His workers were considerate and clean. I only wish I had more roof to hire them again. 10/10 would recommend.

I have not received my roof yet. No roof has been completed. Contract signed 3/3/22. Still no work done no contact from you. Mr. Gemez puts me off when I call. So thank you for nothing. Leaking roof still here.

Update . Mr. Gemez and Spruce Up installed my roof yesterday (3/13/23). Looks great so nice and clean. So the wait was worth it. They did a fine job cleaning up after themselves too. So I do recommend them I also recommend adding a time line in the contract. I think my order was kind of lost in the shuffle is all. Things happen.
