I was introduced to Mark and MCE several years ago when a business partner wanted to use MCE to replace several roofs on a commercial property we owned together. I am so thankful for the introduction because I have never seen a more professional and easy to work with company than MCE. Since our initial meeting, I have had MCE complete two other buildings for me and then just last month, I had them do my own home and could not be happier. I would give more stars if I could. I just recently had Mark's replace the roof on my house and the whole process was so smooth and painless. Their team did a great job to advise me on the condition of my 20 year old roof and inadequate ventilation and made recommendations on how to repair it. They were able to replace the roof in the time frame and budget we discussed and the finished product looks great.

MCE was very competitive with their bid even though they're located nearly 50 miles away from my house. I had also looked at their other reviews and along with seeing they're a family run business with many years of history I chose them and I was very pleased I did. Greg who came to give the initial bid was very thorough and explained everything clearly. The communications with the office resulted in quick responses to any questions. They kept in constant communication with me and squeezed me in during a break in the weather in early November and only took 2 days to take off the old shingles, replace a few bad side boards after discussing with me, and then lay down the new roof. The 6 men on the job all worked quickly and even the cleanup was impressive. There was literally nothing to pick up after they were done. I would highly recommend MCE Roofing to anyone needing roof repairs.

MCE Roofing was great. They weren't the least expensive as we have three buildings, 2 story house, 2 story garage & a well house. But I can't imagine anyone else doing a better all around job. The crew was respectful (no loud music) & they cleaned up every night before they left. After completion, there is virtually no sign of the project, except pretty new roofs. They also were quick, 4 days total. I would not hesitate recommending MCE Roofing & Tyler Holcomb (who checked in every day).

The crew did a fantastic job. They were fast and made sure everything around my house was protected. They had great communication so I knew what was going to happen. I love my new roof. Eric followed up with me to make sure everything was going well. I had peace of mind knowing that my biggest possession was in good hands.

The team at MCE is fantastic to work with. I needed an emergency roof repair which turned into needing a total roof replacement. MCE came out the same day to assess the situation, covered and protected my roof immediately to prevent any further problems, and even replaced my roof a month ahead of my scheduled replacement. The crew is super-fast, friendly, professional, and wonderful to work with.

Tyler did a great job in assessing the roof, covering options and prepared an estimate that stayed true through roof completion. The crew completed the job in two days, did thorogh job of clean up and left us wirh a beautiful new roof. Two thumbs up to MCE roofing.

From beginning to end result, MCE was fantastic! Their sales, communication, delivery, journeymen laborers, supervisor, clean up and accounts were all top notch! From the start, the quote for my home was so competitive, especially considering that straight-down-the-line, they use the best products money can buy. Even after installation with the labor done, there were no hidden costs or surprises, even though there were issues (bathroom venting causing water leakage), and installation of my long dreamed-for solartube that were considered after the initial quote that Greg gave.

The crew that did all the labor to absolute satisfaction was first-rate, hard-working, efficient, respectful, communicative and fun! They worked as a tight unit under the supervisor with absolute attention to detail, they all shared good vibes and were everything that a roofing team should be. Great experience with this company! They were one of the lowest bids I received, and at the same time they delivered a lot more for the price and that was why I ultimately picked them. Greg crawled up into the attic and found issues that no one else addressed. Attention to detail, quick instal, great communication… now I see why they are so popular around town. I was very pleased with the professionalism of this team. From the estimate to the final walk through, everyone was so nice. The roofers were always on time, worked very fast and hard, and cleaned up great when the job was done. The roofing materials are great quality with an excellent warranty. I think everyone hates to put this kind of money into their house, but I feel like this company did some great things to help my air flow to my attic and offered the best products and service in my area. The experience I have with MCE roofing was nothing less than exemplary. From the start, Tyler(salesman) took the time not only explaining everything to me, but answering all of my questions, inspected my attic, as well as my roof and dealt with a couple special issues that we had. He was extremely polite, friendly, professional, prompt, answered texts and phone calls without delay. The team that installed my new roof was led by foreman Alexis. Both him and his team did a fantastic job with the tear-off, installation and cleanup! They were friendly always on time, communicated with me and even sung from time to time while working. My neighbor came over and commented how nice and professional the roofing team appeared. MCE was not the least expensive price I checked, nor the most expensive price I checked but, I believe their price was fair and accurate and if we are both around in 20 to 25 years, I will use them again.

These guys came out and did a roof repair and put on a new roof at the apartment complex that I live at. I, myself, didn't hire them, however, they were working on my building. They were very professional and friendly. There wasn't any swearing by the workers and they would offer a smile when I interacted with them. Our roof looks great. They even used this gadget that sweeps up the nails and staples after their done. Highly recommended!

MCE roofing recently replaced the roof on our single family home. We were impressed with them at every stage of the process. Our estimate and contract documents were thorough, and Greg, our estimator, answered all of our questions in a friendly and straightforward manner. Their cost was within the range of our other bids. The crews who did the roofing work arrived at the time scheduled and worked really well together. We were super impressed with their cleanup and the care they took to avoid harming any landscaping at our house. We’re happy we chose them.

We needed a roof and gutters cleaning. Very professional, thorough, and when completed, my roof looked awesome. They went above and beyond and made a second trip out based on customer service request at no charge. MCE will always get my business just based on this one job!

We originally contacted another firm we had used several years ago but they didn't show up for our scheduled appointment and never returned our calls. We were referred to MCE by two different neighbors who had used them for a new roof and roof repairs. We were scheduled to get a new roof, have a dormer resided and get new gutters by MCE. Our start date was originally early December but the job was pushed back because of bad weather until the first week of January. The winter is not the best time to get a new roof but we were having some leaks and didn't want to wait any longer. It was a big job and took them four days to complete the roof, and siding and another two days to do new gutters. The roofers appeared to work very well together and you could sense the teamwork of the group. I'm glad we went with MCE.

The entire crew both for the roof and the gutters did an absolutely amazing job! They were extremely professional, they left my home cleaner than before they started, after everything was done. The quality of the roof and gutters are absolutely spectacular!! Right after the roof was installed we had to leave town and close up the house. It was 100 degrees outside each of the two days we were gone, but the inside temperature was 76 and we did not leave the air condoning running! That was all due to the fantastic ventilation they helped create and was needed in the attic space. We are so excited and beyond grateful to have worked with MCE Roofing and highly recommend them to anyone in this area looking for a new roof and gutters!!

We were so happy with MCE Roofing. The crew was fast, fun yet professional, and did an absolutely fabulous clean up. I was so nervous about residual mess even after their cleanup and there was NONE.
Several neighbors stopped by and commented on how well the job was going, and how well the crew seemed to get along! The crew was laughing and chatting the whole time.
Their bid was not the lowest, but for the money, we received the best value.

MCE roofing recently completed our roof replacement. They were slightly higher in price (16%) than the two other quotes we received; however, during inspection they were MUCH more thorough in evaluating our roof and suggested CUSTOM roof/attic improvements. Rather than slapping on the same roof as everyone else has in our neighborhood, they offered helpful suggestions/customizations to improve ventilation and reduce energy costs to our home. We decided to move forward with MCE. Luckily a spot opened up on short notice, and basically within 2 weeks of receiving our quote, our roof was replaced! The whole job took two days, a team of 7-8 guys, and they all did a fantastic job. One day to remove, and one day to install. It hasn't rained much yet *knock on wood* but I'm very pleased with the work that they did.

We can’t recommend MCE enough. From start to finish they did an incredible job. The crew was so nice and professional, the job that was done was beautiful and the process was easy from start to finish. We had gotten three different quotes before we chose MCE and the price was comparable but we knew the work would be outstanding because of their reputation. I always give extra points for kindness and customer service as well and these guys just can’t be beat.

installation teams for roof and gutters did an excellent job. Had a friend who does a lot of construction projects over to the house nd he was impressed with the work that was done as he looked at things from ground level. , Greg, our sales rep, came back to inspect their work ( he went up on the roof and took photos) and everything was satisfactory. Only complaint is wires and screws were left over on driveway. Greg had a metal detector and he swept the driveway the items I missed - so at least they picked up after themselves.

Marks Custom Roofing was the best! Great customer service from the start to finish. Mark came out to do the bid. I wanted to make some changes with the skylights, but wasn't sure what to do. He came up with the perfect solution without the crazy costs. So happy with the new arrangement.
The crew arrived exactly when they said they would and were very accurate on the time estimate to be finished.
The guys were great! Very respectful and friendly. They asked questions if they weren't sure about something. Like moving things, etc... No plants were damaged and they cleaned up every day at the end of the work day. Which I was greatful for as I have dogs and kids.
Replacing your roof is a BIG decision! I'm so glad I was referred to Marks from a friend and i would refer them to anyone!

MCE Roofing was the company that installed my roofing so I thought I would ask them to clean the roof since they also have a roof cleaning business. The inspector did a wonderful job inspecting the roof. It took quite a while since I had approx 2 years of moss buildup without any treatment what so ever. After t he inspection, he went over his results with me and I was very satisfied with the inspection. He was also very quick with getting me the estimate for the cleaning. I accepted the estimate and I was put on the list to be scheduled. Weather was not very nice to us so it took a little while to get on the schedule, but the weather did let up and we were scheduled. Once that arrived and started the job, it took a day and a half to complete the cleaning. When they were done, I was extremely happy. The roof looked like it was new. The workers were very courteous and cleaned up almost all of the debris. I am glad I chose MCE to clean my roof. I would recommend MCE Roof Cleaning for anyone.

Our roof was leaking and dripping down from the overhead heater/light fixture in the bathroom. The original roofer had retired so I called around for estimates. MCR was about 1/2 what another man would have charged. Most were not interested in just a minor repair.

MCR's estimator was very professional and inspected the roof and attic and the prepared estimate was emailed to me per my request. The repair was scheduled and done quickly with no delays.

I was also able to do everything including the payment online which I much prefer to writing checks and hoping they get delivered in the Holiday rush.

Everything went smoothly, no surprises, no delays, very professional and friendly. I wish they were electricians and plumbers as well!

We choose MCE for our roof replacement. I wouldn’t use them again. The week before they changed the start date, which was no problem. But then the work day before they told us they would be there the next day. It was a bit frustrating as we had to change our schedule after we just did. Originally they said it would take 3 days because we had two layers and not to worry in the rain because they had to remove two layers. The morning they arrived we were having a hard downpour, so much so they were not able to begin. When I was concerned about the rain they left without beginning, which I was happy about, but when they returned, they did the whole removal and replacement in two days. It felt like they were rushing through it and they made some errors because of their rushing. But our biggest concern... we got 3 roof quotes and they came in the lowest, however the other companies would have installed a ridge roof vent, which would have been better for our ventilation issues. We have mold in our attic and they didn’t replace any of the plywood. So when I was comparing quotes I was comparing apples to oranges because of the different ventilation systems. MCE has pictures of ridge line roofs on their estimate so I assumed that is what I was getting. Very confusing. They also damaged our siding and explained how I could repair it. Thanks! My co worker then told me how they had roofers who damaged their siding and then had dry rot because of it. Now I have to fix this.When I was asking about all the concerns I had with the finished product they had excuse after excuse. It felt like they were making up stuff to shut me up. A new roof is a big expense and unfortunately I made the wrong choice.

After another local roofing contractor blew off my concerns, I called Mark's. Greg, their sales guy, spent over an hour looking into my roofing issues which included massive moisture in the attic, mold and nails exposed. They just finished replacing the roof, 14 sheets if damaged plywood and installing sufficient attic vents.
The crew was very professional, efficient, and courteous. They responded to all of my concerns and questions and did a great job. They started on the date they said and finished within the 3 days quoted.

Overall I was very pleased with MCE Roofing. Greg the estimator was very thorough and also was the only estimator to address Venting issues in my attic. Amanda in the office did a great job keeping us informed. MCE isn't the cheapest around but I was happy with the quality of work they did and I believe they will be around to take care of any issues should we have a problem.

The estimate was clear and precise and all work done by a professional crew was conducted to the letter, as per agreement. The roof looks amazing and the gutters have fixed an obvious design flaw.

Got three quotes for a roof replacement and MCE was the cheapest with the most value. Not only did they replace the roofing and all associated flashings, but also cut in vents for my bathroom exhaust fans. They even connected the fans to the vents in my attic without going thru my house (still not sure how they did that...). They did a great job and cleaned up after each day (it only took 2 days). Now I have a 50 he warranty on the roof with a 25 yr warranty on the labor. Couldn't recommend them enough.

From the person who answered the phones, to the person who met us and provided the bid, to the people who installed the roof and gutters, everyone we interacted with were polite, informative, helpful, and professional. We obtained several bids for the work. The price was similar to our other bids, but the man who came out to look at our roofs was the only one who could figure out why our newish roof was failing and picked up on the shallower sloped portions of our roof, which requires different installation methods. The people working worked great together and worked quickly. I have already provided this company's number to 2 other people. I would hire again and recommend them to anyone.

The inspection was very thorough and everything was explained in detail. This was my first roof installation so I really didn't know everything to ask.
The installation started on time. The crew took care of all the debris, picked up everything that came off the roof and explained what they were doing when I asked. I would recommend this company for getting an estimate to compare with other roofers and gutter installers.

We've had a problem with our roof for a couple of years. It's only 4 years old and the builder looked at it twice but just put more sealant on what he thought was the problem. As the leak wasn't bad and only impacted the garage we didn't worry too much. Then we watched the black mold grow!!!!
We had 3 companies look at the problem but it was Mark who spent ages thoroughly assessing the problem. Flashing installed wrongly in a corner away from the damp patch. He took photos and explained the problem. No brainer MCE got the contract. Now we have confidence that the repair was done right.

On time, fit in between rain storms. professional crew, friendly, left the area cleaner than it was, actually repaired the original leak at no cost before an estimate was even given. Would recommend to anyone.

I had a great experience with MCE. Prompt, professional, good communication. Roof replaced and up to more modern ventilation standards. Left the property clean. Fair price. I’m going to sleep better going into another NW rainy season with a new roof between us and the weather.

They are not the cheapest but that are also not the most expensive. They took care of coming out examining the roof for an estimate. Pointed out all of the additional possibilities that might arise when the roofing was removed like vents, skylight fascia siding. They came out and started on time, called when additional and started working and finished our roof in 1 1/2 days. Every bit of the mess from the old shingles was cleaned up along with the remnants of 21 sheets of plywood that needed to be replaced. The work was excellent and I am overall very pleased with the quality of the work performed. I highly recommend MCE Roofing.

MCE replaced our roof in NE Portland. They were one of four bids we received based on Angie’s List reviews. Their bid was the lowest and their reviews were excellent.

They were very easy to coordinate with, their crews were thorough and professional. The quality of their replacement was excellent. We wish painted houses as well, we would hire them without question!

It is rare these days to find this level of professionalism in companies large or small, keep up the good work!

Asked for a quote. They were very nice and had someone come out quickly to check the roof. 3 weeks later called in asking for the quote as I still hadn't gotten it. They were very nice said they would get it to me. 2 weeks later I emailed them. Still no response. So not very happy. It's sad they are the closest company but I will definitely use someone further away.

Poor communication and follow up.

Mark was supposed to install “end caps” on my eves after he initially replaced my roof about a week earlier. He initially quoted on site $1800 and then sent me a quote weeks later for much more.

I’ve called multiple times and emailed multiple times and have received no return calls or emails for weeks. After he received the check for the initial roof install, he became unresponsive.

My neighbors had their roof replaced by Kneeland Brothers literally the same days my roof was replaced. In my opinion, our neighbor’s roof looks a lot better than my roof Mark’s did.

Unfortunately, I will not use Mark’s ever again or recommend him based on my experience with Mark’s Custom Exteriors.

Super collaboration. They installed a metal roof w/ gutters for me, and they were detailed, professional and executed high quality work. I would give them my highest recommendation.

My roof was very unhealthy, water damage, mold active leaks. I had other professional bids say “Its the original roof we can just roof right over the existing roof.” Considering the mold especially, I like the idea of that all being replaced. MCE completely gave me a beautiful new roof and its healthy. MCE added additional venting that I needed, my house doesn’t have that musty smell it had before the new roof and with the warm days we’ve had my home is not near as warm inside as it was prior to getting the roof. I can tell a big difference in air flow.
This is the second home I’ve owned that MCE has replaced the roof and both homes the roofs were in bad shape. If your roof is sick your house is sick my opinion. I felt the price was well worth it. MCE goes above and beyond, the crew was amazing! So professional. MCE also does a lot of amazing things for our community. It’s full circle and I’m very proud to have a Mark’s Custom Exteriors roof.

Stopped in to have them finish some work that I got screwed on but never got a call like I was told I would get. Guess they didn't want my business. Thanks to someone that needed work that finish my roof. This company showed me they have to many customers not to get a new one.
