I was recommended to this company by a friend, and I’m so glad I listened! They’re a very busy team—which is usually a good sign—and they definitely lived up to the reputation.

After signing the contract, my roof was scheduled for replacement about six weeks later. From start to finish, everything went smoothly. On the first day, they removed the old roof. On the second day, their materials supplier delivered everything directly onto the roof. And on the third day—done! I now have a brand new roof that looks amazing.

SoCal Roofing did a phenomenal job on our recent new roof installation. Although our roof was towards the end of its life, we figured maybe in the next year or two we would have to replace it. The windstorm in January 2025 blew chunks of our roof off, so it was time to replace it now. Carlos came out and we did the walk-through of what we needed. He took measurements and anything else he needed, and I waited for his bid. We interviewed 6 different contractors, all with 4 to 5 stars on Yelp and Google and with at least 100 reviews on their profiles. SoCal Roofing wasn’t the cheapest bid or the most expensive, but definitely offered the most value for our money, from the quality and brand of the materials, to the warranty to how they communicate with their future potential clients. I enjoyed speaking with Carlos, and he answered every question I had in a timely and professional manner. We come from a real estate investment background; we have dealt with roofing contractors before, but we just didn’t have one near our personal home since our investments are several hours away and some are out of state. Finding a good contractor isn’t always an easy task. SoCal Roofing completed our job start to finish in 2 days flat. I know that it can normally take a bit longer for jobs, but considering that we had a large storm in the forecast, they came through for us and were very impressed and appreciative of their hard work. I am sure that it wasn’t an easy task since they also had to coordinate with the city for inspections. Replacing roofs is a messy job. The team kept my house clean and tidy every day they were on site, even covered everything in our garage to prevent falling debris from damaging or dirtying our personal belongings. I highly recommend SoCalRoofing, Carlos, and the rest of his team to anyone who is looking for a professional roofing contractor to complete an honest job and give you a 5-star roof. Or at least give SoCal Roofing a chance to earn your business. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Carlo Ruano and his team are real professionals. I highly recommend them. I obtained 4 estimates for my small house in Hacienda Heights. His inspection of the property was the most detailed and accurate, and TIMELY. The others missed the most essential and problematic issues.

His office team (Diana, Jessica and others) were probably the most organized and responsive that I have encountered in 50 years of business. They lay out exactly what the process will be (the 3 days of work & inspection) and followed through with each step.

His installation/management team (Luis, Edwin, Arturo and others) followed through each of the steps outlined in the project and kept me informed in a timely fashion. The work completed is HIGH QUALITY. So much so, each of the other trades that came by the house to work had commented the same on it -- BEAUTIFUL WORK.

SoCal Roofing put a new roof on my families home. The entire staff was polite and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The crews that worked on the roof were having fun and very productive at the same time. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day. Everything was timed perfectly from removal of old roof, initial permit inspection and delivery of new material, installation of new material and final inspection/ approval. Literally one and a half days of work with approvals in between and after - everything done in 4 days. Pricing was thousands of dollars less than competitive quotes. Very satisfied.

Our roof was old -- multiple layers of shingles and original woodshake underneath, and we obtained multiple quotes given how large-scale and $$$ the project. Some were terrible salesmen and tried to upsell me unnecessary roofing materials. Carlos however is a contractor and his expertise is direct/evident upon first having him check out our roof. He gave us a competitive, reasonable offer and was available by texting/phone to answer my questions/concerns quickly without the gimmicks.

His team also is very efficient --- a large organized team and delivered the promise of completing the project within 3 days (I was quoted about 5-7 days by other competitors). They also did a great job cleaning around the home and ensuring no nails were found.

Communication was also excellent. Project leaders were available by email, phone and texting. They kept us updated on our roofing preferences. Our project was also promised a few weeks sooner than expected as well. They even took care of the city permit.

We can tell Carlos is quite passionate in his roofing service and providing the best customer experience. Carlos took over the roofing business after his father and the business has been there for 30+ years. Their worked is backed by warranty and I feel confident in the longevity of the company should any issues arise. It’s been about 5 months since Carlos, Luis and team helped us with our roof replacement, and I’m happy to report that our new roof has held up perfectly so far, including through tropical storm Hilary. We added solar panels about a month ago, and even those installers mentioned what good job our roofers did.
