SERVPRO of Midtown Manhattan, Hudson Yards

Terrible service. We used them for smoke related damage (sooth around the apartment and clothes).

1. They will ghost you after getting the contract signed.
2. There is no supervision and the workers, who don’t speak English, did a terrible job. We had to show them visible sooth in bathroom, closet, kitchen cabinets. After 3 tries and watching each of them individually they cleaned those spaces.
3. I gave them new clothes with tags on them. They were hung on hangers and brought back. Never washed and with tags still on. (We had a bunch of Christmas shopping in our closets). This was the clear example of lying.
4. They provided estimates time to bring the clothes back (which were washed anyway) that was off by weeks.
5. The workers frequently ran out of supplies and didn’t have the right tools for the job. No stool, no ladders, no soap, no vacuum. You can imagine what job they can do with rags and some liquid they had that they diluted to insignificance.

They are great at collecting money from the insurance. They will bill every code to get last penny of their estimate.

Several apartments in my building were impacted and their experience was the same or worse.

You are better off hiring a cleaning company. Talk to your insurance adjuster. I would absolutely not recommend them to my worst enemy. (Some pictures of after they cleaned the apartment.)

Jamie is very unprofessional and easily perturbed sales man for servepro. He was very calm and gentle chasing to the scene of the fire for business until he’s told I have a mitigation company working with me. He gets hostile and defensive which included verbally attacking me and my mitigation company. You wouldn’t want to do business with a guy who has a google voice cell phone number on their business card and chasing you for your business after a tragic event with no condolence.

After water damage in our home, John and his team came quickly and the work was done efficiently. They were incredibly nice and easy to work with.

The professionalism from the Servpro team was 10/10. They were readily available day and night and did a quality job on my floors. I really appreciated how much they helped dealing with my insurance to get the payments out.

The ServPro team responded quickly to my leak & operated very efficiently. In about two weeks, the leak was mitigated properly, space was dried out, all affected materials were removed, storage was provided for all my furniture, & all debris was removed.

This was a very sudden & traumatic event, so it was a great help to have a crew that knew exactly what to do & how to do it. Challenging experience with ServPro of Midtown Manhattan. After damage in my apartment, the supervisor's unprofessionalism and dishonesty made what he assured me was a one-day repair drag out for two weeks. They missed multiple appointments, gave conflicting explanations, and left my bathrooms unusable during the holidays, forcing me to put guests in a hotel. They seem to prolong the project unnecessarily, seemingly to maximize billing to my insurer. Mismanagement, broken promises, and poor communication made this an incredibly frustrating ordeal. The only good news is the actual workmen who showed up seemed competent and professional. The issue is with the supervisors and managers.

I worked with Samantha for our big project. She was not only attentive, responsive, and understanding, but an all around great person to work with. I can’t say enough good things about the on-site team and onsite manager, this was no easy project. I would reuse this group again and highly recommend it to all my colleagues. So much thanks

WORST “service” ever; we were left with the first part of the remediation incomplete they broke my granite countertop we still had leaking water and they basically left in us in a lurch and now they are sending me a final invoice for work that hasn’t even been completed they didn’t even reattach the plumbing and fix the granite countertop as they had quoted. The project manager Was supposed to have found a granite company to fix the break. The worker who broke the countertop admitted it was his fault although he barely spoke English the other worker spoke no English. Also they were supposed to wrap the countertop in bubble wrap instead they put it in our backyard just laying there not wrapped . It wasn’t until I called the project manager to tell him they had left us like that and then he sent them back to the house And they put plastic on it . Project Manager has disappeared. They charged us for hazmat gear that the workers never wore and other services too numerous to mention here.

The crew that Servpro sent to remove my flood damaged floors failed to cover the exposed tar from underneath, so that it tracked all over. Finally, Servpro sent another person, Evelyn, who did what ever she could to remediate the problem and to save the reputation of Servpro, at least in my eyes. I am still finding small bits of tar all oer the place.

Update: Servpro has just completed work in another apartment in my building and their worker are still failing to cover exposed tar.

I cannot express how amazing, professional, friendly and efficient ServPro of Midtown Manhattan has been. From the very beginning with the first call, Alyssa was responsive, sympathetic and above and beyond courteous. She scheduled Robert to come inspect first thing in the morning. Robert was very professional and experienced in the process and explained everything to me to ensure I was fully aware of how things were going to go. Robert gave me his card and promptly scheduled the crew to come same day to clean. The crew lead by Fanor were efficient, friendly and professional. Definitely a 5 plus star experience. First floor if my cindo was flooded out. Men were here within a few hours. On a Sunday no less.
They worked non stop until everthing was fixed, sanitized, furniture wrapped and moved to oneside. Industrial fans and dehumidifier installed. Returned the next morning, right on time to recheck everything.

It was a pleasure partnering with Joe Harrington and Evelyn Carrasco at Servpro. Joe and Evelyn managed our recovery project. The relocation and remediation went smoothly, and our business interruption period was significantly reduced due to their efforts. We were impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism of both leadership and the team.

Amazing and very trustworthy service. I called with an issue they couldn’t handle, but they still took the time to provide a reference for someone who could help with the issue, rather than charging me to have someone come out and then that on-site tech tell me they couldn’t help me. Meaning, I called and Servpro immediately was told the service was close to what they do but out of scope. Other services in the area have knowingly charged me for consultation on work they knew they couldn’t do. I hope I never need remediation services, but if I do, they’re on my speed dial. I’ll also be recommending them for years to come.

Returned home after Super Bowl Weekend to find my house covered in black soot and oil cobwebs from and boiler PUFF BACK. (not really as cute as it sounds). The entire house - every closet, every drawer, every wall, every cabinet. So I called Servpro and got an appointment quickly for them to assess. Eddie - the project manager - was kind, patient and answered all my questions -starting the day he showed up to take a look thru the end of the project -via text and phone he kept in touch to see how it was going. The team sent to clean my house and all its contents - was led by Evelyn, alongside her were John, Carla and Marcello. They put me at ease with having strangers in the house. They worked nonstop every day. Respectful of my belongings and always on the same page of the plan. I cannot thank them enough for the care they took with my house and items. Evelyn runs a great team. She is organized and direct, she cares about her team and her clients. This mess is not an experience I ever want to have repeated... but I had a supportive hardworking group that got my house back to where it needed to be in 5 business days. Had to deal with a sewage backup at my business at night on a holiday weekend - not only the most competitive price but also the fastest response time of any other biohazard removal/cleanup company I contacted. The team that showed up was incredibly professional, communicative, and efficient. This is one of those things where I really hope I never have to call them again, but if I do I know the problem will get taken care or right.

Eduardo Perotti (Eddie) and his team led by Evelyn were fantastic. Our basement flooded over the weekend and Eddie showed up almost within an hour of me calling ServPro. Eddie was super professional and incredibly helpful for new home owners who never experienced problems like this before. We immediately felt like we were in good hands. Evelyn (the foreman) and her crew were fantastic as well. They worked quickly and efficiently to minimize any further water damage and helped preserved our belongings that could be salvaged. This team is the best. This is the second project so far and I am always happy. Eddy the estimator drove four hours to accommodate an emergency remediation when others don’t even return your call. The office staff is always friendly and then finally the onsite crew of Evelyn and Jesus and all their staff work tirelessly to bring the site back from its distress. You will never be disappointed with the finished product. They communicate, are punctual and work so hard to clean the site and fix all your problems. I can’t say enough. Don’t call anyone else.

Avoid this ServPro franchise at all costs. Rob Citrangola is such a piece of trash. After numerous discussions with the board of a very hard hit development on Staten Island about helping out its homeowners and providing bulk pricing, he decided to back out at the very last minute because it wasn’t “worth their time” and he could make more money screwing over individual homeowners. Now these people that were relying on him and their crew have to scramble to find other options, at a point when other companies are booked up for weeks.

He laid out for me the process for handling my loss and the steps Servpro would take to see the situation addressed start to finish. Without going into great detail I will say simply that when you have a disaster or loss or serious problem in your home or business, you need an organization that is reliable and knows what they are doing, they will do the right thing the right way and minimize whatever catastrophe has befallen you. This is Servepro.

Unprofessional and unresponsive. Hired servpro to do water damage mitigation at the instruction of our insurance company. Owner showed up early without calling when we weren't home. Had to move out of our home while they dried out our home and wouldn't give us an answer on when they would come back. The employee who came back to do an assessment showed up several hours late without giving us a phone call. He claimed we had real hardwood and could refinish our floors when we very obviously have engineered wood which cannot be refinished. The owner was unresponsive multiple times, the office was unresponsive or told me that they would call me back and days would go by without a phone call. It has been a month since Servpro's assessment and our insurance company still hasn't received their estimate.

This company was hired to clean up water damage in our condo. The baseboards apparently weren't even part of the damage, but after they were in to do the work, the baseboards were left in a mess. Very unprofessional and unwilling to accept responsibility for the mess they left. NEVER use them!!

Great job of completing major clean up while still giving us the ability to keep our operation open. Service was quick and they responded to all questions and gave us updates with photos. Simply fantastic.

Cannot say enough about this amazing team. Recently had an experience where there was a fire at the storage facility I use and some of my property suffered water damage from the sprinklers. ServPro was on sight to assist in remediation and could not have been more helpful. The staff deployed to the facility was ready to go with whatever was needed. Most importantly, they could not have been kinder, friendlier, or more empathetic while I dealt with the stress of having personal items damaged and lost. Additionally, their preservationist walked me through the process of how to preserve my artwork, lending her expertise and wisdom to help me save things important to me. While we all hope to never be in a situation where we need them, if I ever have to deal with property damage, ServPro is who I’ll be calling.

Last week, my grandmother’s house was flooded. There was also structural damage from a tree falling. This team was able to remove all the water and save everything in the house from being destroyed by removing it. The tree they removed quickly, as well.

I don’t know what we would have done if they didn’t show up. Thank you, Dawn and to the rest of the crew!

We had a flood as a result of a storm, we had over three inches of water. I thought I would lose everything in my basement, tens of thousands in damage at least. SERVPRO came WITHIN AN HOUR of my calling them with all of the equipment: water vacs, fans, and dehumidifiers. They stayed in our house until 2 AM removing the floorboards and taking all of my personal items out. I cannot tell you how happy I was with their service. Absolutely the most professional team, they went above and beyond!

I don't normally write reviews but I was just completely BLOWN away by how fast the team came in to completely clean out our apartment. Such courteous and hard-working staff! This review is to not only share my extremely positive experience with Servpro Midtown Manhattan but to also express my sincere gratitude for them literally making my issue disappear within 24hours. Upon returning home from a business trip I noticed water on my floor than on the wall. I immediately freaked out because there was a musty odor and I didn't want my belongings becoming mold-contaminated nor my body! I called Servpro Manhattan and immediately the owner Rob called me back to fact find and troubleshoot. Within an hour the polite and professional team arrived at my townhouse and got straight to work. I was on a conference call for an hour in another room. Once the call was over I went into the room where everything was protected, moved, and things where being cleaned up. They set up a few machines and then started the construction removing the problem. One worker even left to match the paint color for the new drywall. Within a day it’s like nothing ever happened. This particular office of Servpro is top-notch, I highly recommend Rob and his awesome team!

We had Chris Rojas from Servepro handle our fairly large project from day one. He is by far the most responsive, reliable and extremely professional contractor to have come across our space since our construction phase(s). What ever we needed completed, done and done! We were impressed how Mr. Rojas verbally articulated all the information, including the project scheduling and furnished progressive reports along with photos for our records. It was clear that his crew hustled while Mr. Rojas was present and more importantly, his men looked up to him with respect. That tells you a lot about Mr. Rojas' character. I manage several properties throughout the tri-state area and have used Robert and his team on most of my buildings. Whether it be fire or water damage, his team provided exceptional service and 24 hour maintence throughout the entire process. From start to finish, they were by far the best and got us back up and running again in no time. I would highly reccommend.

I work for Servpro in Wash DC, and was not sure about how other franchises were run. My dad is elderly and lives in Manhattan, we called Servpro for a cleaning job on Friday. They had Chris out the same day to give my dad the estimate. Then they started the work first thing the next morning. There was a lot of cleaning and unpacking to be done but they were able to finish in 2 days. I am so happy that the company I work for is also reliable in other states. Thank you so much to Chris and Raul for making this a stress free situation!

An awful experience. After demolition due to flood in my apartment, Their contractor Lou Miccio dragged me for an additional 5 weeks to start the rebuild. He knew my building was starting a holiday construction moratorium meaning no use of my bathroom, no ceiling in bathroom and entry to my bedroom, no parquet floor at the entry, no use of my closets for an additional 2 weeks. Still he didn't show up, but told me " I don't need you calling me first thing in the morning" when I tried to find out the starting date. Company owner Robert was supposed to come see damages made by the workers, was a no show TWICE and didn't call after. Stay away from this unprofessional outfit. They are the absolute worst case of contractor behavior- starting but never finishing. On Facebook I found a report by a person, Steven Larkin, with similar experience to mine. Don't hire them until you read his review. This is a fair warning to all.

I encountered a flood due to washing machine hose, I must admit I was very overwhelmed with this being my first water damage. I called Turn Key and instantly felt at ease, Rob was very knowledgeable and sympathetic to my needs. His response time was unbeatable, There was a crew at my home within 2 hours. The crew was professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. They worked very hard, they were courteous, clean and timely, they also kept me informed from the beginning to the end of the process.
