We first contacted Jeremy and Sensible Home Products over 3 years ago. Out of multiple quotes, Jeremy’s attention to detail convinced us this was the team we wanted to do our siding upgrade. For personal reasons, we were unable to proceed but made sure we kept his contact information. A year later, we reached out again. He remembered us and many ot the details around the house. He gave us a great new quote but again, unfortunately life got in the way. Another year passes and we contacted him again. We were concerned that after attempted failures, he might not be interested. That was not the case. He came to our house again without any reservations. Again, a great quote and the process was started. The original thought was to go over the existing siding, but when Dave came out to measure the windows, he strongly recommended to remove the old shingles and start fresh. It was the first of many recommendations that proved to be in our best interest.
Once the project started in November, Dave and George showed up every morning to put in a full day. Even when it was cold, they removed the old shingles and repaired all of the underlying damage. They continually pointed out other suggestions around the siding, doors and windows. They replaced the door and windows, added the trim and did some minor repair on the walls
We decided to go with the premium choice of prodigy insulated siding. It cost us more, but is was totally worth it. This siding is thicker and insulated. It looks like wood planks due to grain texture and larger face. Add to that the beautiful new Harvey Tribute windows and the brand-new gutters , we knew that the house would look amazing. They all worked hard getting the siding in place. Victor and Alex assisted in installing the siding and did a phenomenal job trimming the outside of the windows.
All thru the process, Jeremy communicated with us on a regular basis, again making additional suggestions along the way, suggesting light placement, pointing us to a reputable electrician, who upgraded our service as well as wiring the lights
We really cannot say enough about the fantastic job the entire team did, the level of respect and communication and all of the positive suggestions made along the way. We can now say that our house is probably the best-looking house in the neighborhood. Would we recommend them? Lets just say we are working on the details for the next project that will be handled by the only team to use

I can't say enough good things about Jeremy and his crew. We started searching for contractors after we found a rotted threshold on our seldom used front door. Peeling back some of the siding to invesitgate revealed more water damage coming from the corner of one of the 1st floor windows. At that point, we knew we had a big job ahead of us and needed someone we could trust that would do the job right. Jeremy and his crew far exceeded our expectations. Workmanship, quality material, communication, and trust worthiness, they really have it all. I would get updates from Jeremy personally everyday with pictures to document what was happening with the house. I can't tell you how much this alleviated a lot of the stress and worry about the whole project. Take a look at the pictures. If they can tackle this beast of a project, they can really do anything. I do not hesitate to recommend Sensible Home Products and would call them in heart beat for any similiar project.

The experience we had collaborating with Jeremy and the Sensible Home Products (SHP) team was outstanding and one beyond anything we could have imagined. In fact, we have never had a better experience with any contractor or company, of any type, than what we had with SHP.

Jeremy demonstrated a level of trust that gave us comfort that the needed improvements made to our 90-year-old home, were appropriate and that the house would be safe, secure, and visually pleasing for future generations. This trust emerged from the initial quote that described the specific steps SHP would follow, to leaving the work area, every day, as spotless as when the team showed up, to traveling to the Boston area for a door that was not available at a store in Connecticut, to creatively and thoughtfully solving the issues and challenges the house threw at SHP, to taking every requested addition to the project with a can do attitude. In a nutshell, the SHP focus was ensuring that the improvements to our house would stand the test of time, and that the work was completed with care and dedication as if we were part of Jeremy’s family.

Jeremy was transparent about the daily work. He sent us pictures of the progress made and of the structural issues that were uncovered. Although we would have wished wood rot, roof leakage, water damage and termite damage did not exist, they did. Because Jeremy provided the daily updates, he was able to share why the improvements were needed and important. He always answered my questions clearly and concisely. The SHP billing approach was clear so there were never any surprises. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably the project ended up costing.

Observing Jeremy and the SHP teamwork was amazing. I have never seen such a talented, dedicated, caring, and creating team. They worked with amazing efficiency and effectiveness. I can attest, based on other projects we have taken on, this project would have taken much longer than the five short weeks (including Christmas and below freezing temperatures) this took. The quality of their work was remarkable and the pride in their workmanship was always evident. The extra touches he included in the project and the counsel he provided gave us 100% confidence that he would do what was right and that he, and SHP, would go above and beyond.

The house is beautiful, and Jeremy and SHP will always hold a place in our hearts. They are an absolute gift, and they are now considered part of our family. I did not know Jeremy before this project, but I now count him as a friend. Going forward, we will call Jeremy and SHP first and we will know that he will care for us and for our house as if it was his own.

We had been exploring several siding companies before coming to the decision to hire Jeremy from Sensible Home Products to redo our siding, add new gutters + shutters, add Azek surrounds to our garage doors, replace our wooden front porch post, replace our back door + screen door, and finally to install an awning above the back entryway.

For starters, when shopping around, Jeremy clearly distinguished himself from the other contractors that we spoke with quite simply because they were just sales reps and not the real contractors doing the work. Also, nobody else seemed to have the colors and materials we desired. Jeremy's knowledge of siding and overall home improvement shined through in our conversations and to our added benefit, one of our friends had used Sensible for their own siding project so we could clearly see the quality of Jeremy's work! Overall, Jeremy was very flexible throughout the entire process even when we had to delay the start of our project due to unexpected circumstances and when the project took minor twists and turns.

If you're considering Sensible for your home improvement project, here is our summary of our experience:

* Jeremy is very big on removing existing siding and NOT building over it. This does add to the project cost of course, but it's the right way to do things and in the end, everything will look great!

* Jeremy referred us to many homes of his previous clients and seeing siding on an actual house in-person instead of a swatch makes a huge difference! It actually changed our minds about going from Prodigy Charcoal Smoke to Ageless Slate. Definitely do not make a siding color/material selection based purely on a sample swatch!

* Regarding the contract, while it does say the siding job will include "rotted wood", there is also a section that says any "major rot repair" will cost extra. Translation - if there are small pieces of wood that need to be replaced, this will be covered in the cost of the project, but if you have major sections of wood and insulation that need to be replaced and delay the workers from actively putting up siding - this will cost extra as was the case with some areas of the back of our house and also when we wanted to add a new back door and screen door. Jeremy did provide receipts with any additional project costs.

* Sensible was very careful in the placement of their work truck, tools, siding materials, and dumpster in order to avoid any damage to our in-ground sprinklers or other structures. Yes, the equipment and supplies will remain at the job site for the duration of the project.

* The three workers that came were very timely, did great work, sometimes used the bathroom (I didn't mind), and were easy to work with. Yes, Jeremy did inspect the project on a regular basis and provided oversight every step of the way.

* The siding project for a two floor home, roughly 2000+ sq. ft., with mostly good weather and minor add-ons lasted about two-and-a-half weeks. Once the siding project was complete, the gutter crew came about a week later and then a month later per Jeremy's suggestion, the awning was installed by yet another stellar workman on Jeremy's crew.

Highly recommend Sensible Home Products.  We had our windows and siding done by Jeremy and his crew and we were impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism. When I first looked into getting new siding and work done to my home, I gave a couple local contractors a call and got the basic walk throughs and got some pricing. When I gave Jeremy a call, he came by and did an entire walk through with me.

Jeremy took the time to inspect and point out issues I hadn’t even thought needed to be addressed. He showed me that because of the way my trim was previously done, there would be potential rot behind the siding and even showed me that my window trims were rotted because of how incorrect the prior work was done. I was astonished. I knew the home had cheap work done to it years ago and that I was bound to run into issues, but when I saw just how much was brought to my attention, I began to worry I was in over my head…

With every issue we found, Jeremy took the time to thoroughly explain what was wrong and how it can be corrected, and oddly enough, he gave me a sense of comfort knowing whatever we’d come across he’ll get it done and done right. His attention to detail and level of care and understanding was what really set him apart from the other walkthroughs I had with other contractors. When he showed me past examples of his team’s previous work, I knew right away he was going to be the guy for the job.

After signing the contract, we had been in constant communication on when something would be done, what they came across, and what they did to fix it. The job flew by and everything went better than expected. Jeremy’s team was fast, friendly, and executed the job better than I could have ever dreamed of. In less than 3 weeks, we had a home that exceeded our expectations and the end product absolutely blew us away.

Dave and George did a great job vinyl siding my garage. Dave recommended removing the old cedar siding and I'm glad he did! They included me in important decisions, like building a new door, almost from scratch! They did a really good job accommodating my needs, like trying to use previously purchased materials (siding and lights). They showed up on time every day until the job was done and had an awesome work ethic; each day Dave set goals and they did their best to complete them. They replaced rotted wood and I think they used stainless steel nails! I am very satisfied with the finished product and would hire them again.

We would give Jeremy and his crew 10 stars if we could. Our Dutch Colonial just looks absolutely stunning from top to bottom and we couldn't be happier with our Vinyl Siding. From day one Jeremy totally exceeded our expectations. He came twice before he quoted us since it was during winter and he wanted to make sure he could walk the property without snow and see everything so there were no surprises for us. He then collaborated with my wife and I on his vision to make our house look gorgeous. Jeremy takes great pride in his work and he loves to see his customers happy. Our house had a lot of problem areas with rotted wood and we had several leaks, which is why we were so careful in who we selected to do our siding. Because of all the work that needed to be done, it took them almost three weeks to do our house. Every day they were here, the crew cleaned up so well you wouldn't even know there were contractors here, which was very important to us since we have two dogs and two kids. He even helped us with our external plumbing so it would function better and look nicer against our siding. I’m giving Jeremy 5 enthusiastic stars, but honestly, he deserves more. His company, Sensible Home Products, came through with flying colors on our siding and gutters project. First of all, Jeremy is extremely experienced, knowledgeable and detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for what will look best, and work best. He proved to be an attentive, active listener during our initial meetings, and really took his time to explain his vision and how it dovetailed with our needs. He came to the house several times, provided a wealth of photos of similar projects, and even had us speak directly to one of his previous clients, which really sealed the deal. Once the project was in motion, it was utterly seamless and problem-free. His workers are the best we’ve ever had: true artisans, talented, respectful, and hard-working, and when they left each day, they completely cleaned up the areas to the point where you wouldn’t even know they had been there. Jeremy was a super-communicator throughout, and was truly enthusiastic and passionate about the changes we were making, almost as if it were his own property. He and his crew had to work with our HVAC techs and electricians, and the interactions were
professional, cooperative, and productive. But the icing on the cake was a request we put in, last-minute, to have the project accelerated in time for a big outdoor party we had planned. Jeremy and his whole team stepped up and really jumped through hoops, to make it happen. If you’re looking for a contractor whose results will blow you away, stop your search. I just finished our second project with Jeremy. The first was a basic, square colonial, in good shape, no rot, etc. Basic. Even so, Sensible’s contractors are so talented, so passionate about their jobs (think windows that are wrapped like picture frames) that the boring house turned out beautiful.
But enough of the first house. Last summer we moved to a new house. One that we bought knowing it needed new windows and a new roof and new siding. Jeremy and Sensible HP was the only one I called. And begged him to trek close to an hour to our new home. He finally caved in. And I will be forever thankful that he did. Our home looks beyond amazing, ALL of our neighbors have made it a point to stop and compliment the job. Many slow down and stare as they drive by.
Due to the poor craftsmanship by the original builder, there were multiple major rot issues that needed to be addressed, which his crew handled without missing a beat. We discovered that the deck was way out of code and barely attached to the house, so we wound up with a new deck and porch as well.
Jeremy himself has a phenomenal eye for design. Give him an idea of what you’d like and he’ll give you ideas and suggestions that you’ll love. We took old half round windows and replaced them with transoms - beautiful. Jeremy’s suggestion. One of our windows is 9’ tall! And we absolutely love them.

We interviewed several top-rated (by Angie's List) contractors and selected Sensible Home Products based on Jeremy's obvious passion for his work and his attention to detail. He was the only one to notice an unusual gutter/drainage solution we have on our garage. He brainstormed several ideas with the goal of making it look as natural and unobtrusive as possible. His goal in every conversation we had was to make the house look as good as possible and to make sure we were thoroughly pleased. The crew was polite and hardworking and did excellent work. After removing all the old siding there were a few areas of rot to be dealt with, including the header above the garage door. Jeremy had to make a special trip to get a long enough 2x12 replacement. This attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way was evident throughout the project. We were especially impressed with the door and window trim work, the trim around the garage door, and the custom decorative post they built for our front entryway which matches the style of our mailbox post and lamp post. I can't explain enough how foruntate we were to find "Sensible Home Products" for our home improvements needs and help our vision come to life! Professional, reliable, and capable! The team at Sensible Home Products is great! The contract was fully executed to plan and updates were reasonable priced. More importantly, obstacles encountered (and we had a few problems to contend with) were handled by the team and not pushed off on another contractor. I’ve readily recommended Sensible to friends and neighbors! And, when the work was completed, our house drew traffic as folks stopped to look at the transformation! Fantastic experience start-to-finish!

Omg! We have so many great things to say about Jeremy and his company! 1st, we truly thought we were going with another company and just wanted to get another estimate just to know that we did get a couple of estimates for peace of mind. We mean we were really set on who we were going with. Uh, that was until we met Jeremy. So when he came, we had all kinds of things going on at the house since we had just purchased it, landscapers, with a loud, noisy wood chipper going, DirecTV was installing service, hubby and family were unloading PODS, bringing in furniture and such, and poor Jeremy hardly had my complete attention. I was getting pulled in all directions and my husband was lugging furniture in. I was the one who called him to come for an estimate and he hardly had my attention at all.
Jeremy was as patient as could be. I am surprised he even stayed, it was so chaotic and I was so busy, but when he finally did get us for a few minutes, we went over what we were looking for and designs and all, and he showed us his sample, ok and I mean a real sample! Not just a little bitty piece, I mean a whole length of siding, we were impressed. He took his time to talk about design possibilities, what we wanted, what we were looking for and so on. Never pushing. One of the things that really stuck with us was that he didn't keep trying to sell himself and his company in a pushy way. One person who came for an estimate took about 30 minutes showing us all these pictures of jobs they have done on their laptop. Ok that is fine, we need to see some of your work, but come on, you can see we have a lot going on, I don't want to look at your laptop for 30 minutes, I want to discuss OUR job. We were really trying to make a decision as to who were going with as soon as possible. But Jeremy reminded us to take our time, don't rush, but we really wanted to make a decision. I mean, zero pressure, nothing. We were putting more pressure on ourselves than he did, he was a zero pressure guy! After meeting with him, we were floored at how much we really wanted to go with him and really didn't care if he was lower than our other quote or not. We knew he was meticulous, honest, and he just was "our guy". When we say meticulous, I mean Jeremy is not going to finish a job until it done right. He is a real stickler for what looks right, what is the right way to do something, doesn't just do something halfway or in a bubblegum and scotch tape way. Everything is done correctly and precisely and is great quality work and materials. Once the work started, his crew was AWESOME!!!!! Oh my gosh, they were great!!! Victor is a top notch person who knows what he is doing. Hubby and him bonded and we were informed of anything and everything they found or needed to fix, which thankfully wasn't too much. But through the whole process, Jeremy and Victor communicated EVERYTHING!!!! At one point where we were having some shake done at the top, Jeremy suggested coming down further because he really felt it would look better. I really didn't want a lot of shake siding as I am not a fan of the look, but with Jeremy going over design detail, I was able to know that I could trust what his ideas were and we felt completely comfortable in anything he suggested. and I must say, that after not wanting too much shake, we knew that we could completely trust Jeremy in his design choices and told him to go ahead, if he could make it happen, do it! I could go on and on and on, but we are so over the top pleased with Jeremy and his company, quality of work and materials, we just can't say enough about them. You will not be disappointed with them. And the real icing on the cake was Jeremy was lower in price than the first quote, so that was a bonus, but it would not have mattered at all. He could have been the highest and we were going with him no matter what. We could also not get over how quick the job was done. Jeremy, thank you for all your time, attention to detail, kindness, knowledge, and just for being a great person!

We zeroed in on Sensible after a long search for the right contractor to tackle our home improvement project. We had gotten several quotes and gone to client sites to view/compare their work. When we drove around to the Sensible client addresses, we were blown away by the quality of the work and we knew we didn't want anyone else working on our home. We have a very unique house with complicated architecture and underlying issues that we knew would require a skilled team to correctly remediate. Jeremy was upfront about the scope of work, refusing to take the lazy approach many other contractors proposed to install vinyl siding on top of the existing cedar siding. He insisted the proper way to re-side would be to first rip off the existing siding and repair all wood rot. Our rip exposed a great deal of rotted wood and lack of flashing in several areas. We were haunted by water issues from the roof and siding and Jeremy came up with creative solutions to keep us dry. For example, he installed gutters on portions of the roof that didnt have any and copper flashing along the entire perimeter of our wrap-around deck as well as ice and water material on the back side of our house. The Sensible crew paid meticulous attention to detail. From the roofing crew to the siding crew to the gutter installer to the electrician, they are all technicians. Every line matches up perfectly, which is not an easy task for a house with lots of angles. The metal trim on all the windows and doors was custom-bent on site. The trim work beautifully accents the windows on our home. The crew was respectful, showed up on time, and left our property clean every day. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Sensible completely transformed our home and we are so grateful. We are excited to spend many years enjoying our beautiful (and dry) home!!!

Jeremy was honest and upfront from the very beginning. He met with me then agreed to return to explain the process again to my dad so I would be comfortable with the plan. Jeremy and his crew just finished up siding my home. My 1984 house looks brand new! The crew was so responsive and easy to work with. Jeremy and his crew were friendly, down to earth, honest, people which, anyone who has ever gotten a quote from any of the big contracting companies knows that is not something you usually get from a sales rep. The price they quoted us was nearly half of what the big name companies quoted us and the siding and gutters they showed us was the exact same stuff that the other companies showed us. This sounded way too good to be true but we checked out their references and the work they did was top notch and everyone highly recommended them. So we decided to go for it. A couple weeks later they're ready to start the job (we had to special order the color we picked) and their install team shows up ready to go. Originally the contract was just to replace the siding, gutters, and the outside lights on the house. It turned into a huge mess when they started taking off the old siding. I'm not even exaggerating when I say there were squirrel nests, mouse nests, live snakes, and extreme moisture damage throughout the house. A portion of the house beneath one of the sliding glass doors was so rotted out that the sill that rested on the concrete foundation and the wall joists that attached to it were essentially jello. In several other spots the fascia and boards behind it were completely rotted out. Jeremy and his team could have just put the siding up over all this mess, called it a good, and been done in 4 days. That's all they were contracted to do after all. Instead they said "Look this isn't right, let us fix this and do it the right way." They had to completely remove a sliding glass door and rebuild the sill, joists, and the floor beneath it. When they said the door had to come out I asked if they could replace the door since it had to come out anyway. From the time I asked about a new door to the time they had to start putting it in was literally 13 hours. This is the kind of people Jeremy and his team are. I ended up asking at about 5:30PM as they were leaving if a new door was possible since they'd be in there anyway and the next morning at 6am they drove 3 hours out of their way to pick up a new door to bring it back and install it. They spent that next day rebuilding the rotted out wall, installing a brand new sliding glass door, and repairing the rotted out fascia. On top of all this, they patched a leak in my roof and braced a portion of my deck. What was supposed to be a 4 day quick and easy siding job turned literally into the project from h*** that lasted 2 weeks. Jeremy himself was here day in and day out assisting with the repairs (How many companies are there where the owner will put his or her own time in with the work crews crawling under decks, cleaning out snakes, mouse nests, rotted wood and insects?) Even with the ridiculous amounts of added stress Jeremy and the whole work crew were friendly, helpful, and professional. Because of their work ethic and commitment to do it right they actually put themselves in extremis because they had to delay starting other jobs and potentially lose some of their other customers. I challenge you to find another company that's willing to go so far to do it right. Their work is impeccable, their work ethic is beyond reproach, and they will do the job right even if it makes their job significantly harder. I cannot recommend them enough. I recently had the pleasure of working with Sensible Home Products to install a patio in my backyard, and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with the results. We needed major work done on the back of our house. There was an attached shed that had water damage and was falling apart, and an enclosed porch that also had serious water damage and an entry way to get into the finished basement where the roof would leak when it rained hard. We worked with Sensible Home Products before when we had the new siding done. there was no doubt that we wanted Jeremy and his crew to do the work. They removed the attached shed and built a beautiful new deck, and replaced a window with sliding glass doors. Then they replaced the window over the entryway to the basement with an awning window and redesigned the entry way roof and made it a shed roof for better drainage. the entry way looks so much better, nice shingles and no leaks! The next area was the enclosed porch, which they took down, except for the original roof. We wanted to keep that area covered, so they built a new deck there, kept the roof, and designed it so that we could eventually enclose that deck if we choose to in the future. We love everything they did. His crew was friendly, professional, they cleaned up the work area every day when they were done. We have 2 dogs and the guys did their best to make sure our fur babies didn't get hurt on anything in the process. They were great to work with.

Let’s start with this… our house has been transformed into a work of art. We went from a house where everything that could possibly be painted, was painted blue, to a house with amazing contrast. We changed just about everything on the exterior of the house (siding, windows, doors & garage doors), making the before and after about as dramatic as it could possibly be. So much so, that people stop and take pictures, and that’s not a joke. We can’t thank the owner Jeremy enough for all of his hard-work because the finished product is simply amazing. The existing cedar shake siding was replaced with vinyl shake all around. We also went with mitered corners, which was a decision that Jeremy had encouraged. At the end of the project, we realized that he was 100% right about that. The decision about the siding color was a breeze. We had an idea about the color we wanted, and Jeremy mentioned that a brand new color was coming out soon and we should take a look before deciding. When we met with him the next day, he had already called the company and had a sample overnighted for us to see. Sure enough, this was exactly what we were looking for. We decided to replace the windows, mostly because of the inefficiency of the original single-pane windows. We went with Harvey Tribute’s and we love the classic look and design. Jeremy suggested this series over other options we were considering, and again, he was right about that. Also, the custom window trim that his guys made on the job site, are really nice. Jeremy explained how they wrap the windows to create the channel for the siding, which leaves it with a really clean look. The two front doors that we picked are what make our house really stand out. We knew we wanted a craftsman style door, but were a little apprehensive about going with a bold color. Jeremy suggested that we go for it. We went with the “persimmon” red color, and it was the best decision we made for the whole project. Yes they are bold, but still tasteful to go with our colonial house. We also had his guys custom-build the door surround, which really gives it a great contrast against the “cast-iron” color siding. The garage doors, originally also blue, were replaced with white carriage style doors and custom-built azek surrounds. This was mostly Jeremy’s vision, and WOW, they look ridiculously good!!! As the project was being planned, we decided to have Jeremy convert our sunroom into a more usable space. Jeremy’s ideas were exactly what we had envisioned. We now have a beautiful room that has turned into a kid’s playroom. Our choice to have Jeremy do the work will never be second-guessed. He made the process for us as relaxing as possible. Every time that we had a question before and during the job, I knew that if I texted or called Jeremy, I would get a quick response. During the project, our girls (2 and 5 years old) would wake up and ask when “the boys” are coming. Jeremy’s crew was always on time and ready to work! When we left in the morning, our girls would have to go see “the boys” and make sure they said bye. The best part about choosing Sensible Home Products is that even though Jeremy was just a contractor that I figured would come do the job and go on his way, he has become a friend. I will say this… we had some cheaper quotes and some that were so high they were laughable. At the end of the day, we went with Jeremy because he was the most honest with what he was going to do. The other guys wanted to cut some corners and use cheaper materials, even ones that were going to cost more. We just felt comfortable knowing exactly what we were getting. I would tell everyone who is looking for siding, windows and doors to go with Sensible Home Products. It sounds a little silly, but they really did make our dream come true.

The craftsmanship and process speak for itself. We had new landscaping done prior to the job (great timing) and absolutely nothing was disturbed. They took great care to lay down cover beneath every surface when they were tearing down old siding, windows, or doors. Rot was discovered in several places underneath our old siding. It was cleaned out and replaced with new wood before the siding began. The trim and framing over every exterior piece of the house was thoughtfully designed. The job started ahead of schedule and was finished a little quicker than estimated. The compliments we received are extremely well deserved by the team and often during the process people walking by would ask for business cards or details about the job.

I reached out to Jeremy with a host of issues I had with my current cedar siding and possible water damage I might be having.
Jeremy assured me that everything would be assessed and repaired to brand new condition!! There was indeed water/rot damage on all sides of the home including the garage door headers Not 1 piece was overlooked by Jeremy and his crew. (see pictures attached). After all the water damage was assessed and repaired, the guys proceeded to replace all the cedar with a high quality solid core vinyl siding by prodigy. That product is super high quality not flimsy vinyl. It has a foam backing to help with the cold winter as well as accidental dents and dings.

I did ask for some upgrades that included Azek trim around windows and garage frame!! The technique they use to install the Azek trim is state of the art and looks AMAZING!! ZERO visible screws.
Once the siding was done we decided to refinish our back yard deck area. Completely refinishing our bow window and Gazebo.
And I strongly believe this is where the company shines. Jeremy’s vision and attention to detail is second to none!! The pictures don’t do it justice AT ALL!!

In need of new siding for our house, we began looking for a reliable contractor. Our search led us to Home Advisor where we found Sensible Home Products. We called and set up a meeting with Jeremy. Jeremy came out to the house to review and discuss what we wanted to do. He listened to our needs and provided a sample of the siding he was recommending for our house. We asked if he did more than just siding since we were also looking for a new front door, bay window, and garage doors. Jeremy provided catalogs and options for us to think about in picking out the doors and windows for our project. Jeremy assured us he would be able to do the entire project in a timely manner. We requested and received a reasonable quote for the amount of work we were looking at getting done and ultimately signed a contract with Jeremy for the work. On the day the project was to begin Jeremy and his crew were there early and worked every day, weather permitting. His crew was very professional and quickly showed that they really knew what they were doing. They showed up early and stayed late when required to get a job done. Each night they took the time to clean up the property and store the materials away for the next day. As the project progressed it became evident that we also needed a new roof. Again, Jeremy explained what he and his crew could do and provided a quote to get the work done. There was never any pressure from Jeremy to do the roof in fact just the opposite since doing the roof would mean he had to reschedule some of his other work to get this done for us. Jeremy did reschedule his work and we got the new roof. Not only did Jeremy show up at the house everyday but he was in constant contact on the phone to make sure the project was going as we had planned. They took a 38 year old house that looked worn and made it look new again, we could not be more pleased. Special thanks to Jeremy ând entire crew but in particular Victor, Vlad, and Andrew who are truly outstanding at what they do. We spoke with several contractors, but after meeting with Jeremy, we knew he was the person we wanted to work with. There was absolutely no pressure and he made several helpful suggestions we hadn’t thought of. He is personable and professional, goes the extra mile and does things properly. For just one example, he was the only contractor we spoke with that removes the existing siding before installing the new, and we were so glad he did! Our Home was in need of a complete exterior update. We went online looking for potential contractors and the very 1st person to contact us was Jeremy from Sensible Home Products. Jeremy came to visit my wife and I and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. He was very helpful and patient with us in selecting the siding, roofing and the front door for our home. In fact, as we struggled to select the siding and roofing colors, Jeremy with a broken foot arranged for us to meet him at his siding and roofing distributors. Looking at planks of siding and full shingles instead of the small product samples allowed us to make great color decisions. You talk about going up and above to satisfy a potential new customer. Jeremy’s follow-up and attention to detail is his greatest strength. I was sold on Jeremy on the 1st, of the probably 10 visits he made to our home before we signed the contract last October. We also want to give a shout-out to Jeremy crews that worked on our home. The roofing crew of 7 came and completed our roof in one day. The crew worked in harmony together, did a great job and cleaned up the yard diligently to get every nail. The siding crew came the following Monday. These 3 gentlemen were also very professional and expertly skilled in stripping down and putting back up the new siding and trim. Along the way the siding crew uncovered 4 locations of the house that were damaged by the weather and expertly repaired those areas. The guys worked neat and clean and they were all very courteous. Jeremy used great contractors to replace our gutters and exterior lights. In addition, would like to provide a special shout out to Hemi from Hemi Garage Doors as our new garage doors look wonderful. Since completion of the project I have been stopped by several couples walking by the house to say they love all the upgrades made to our home. Short version - Sensible Home Products has done a phenomenal job on our home. We are so glad we found Jeremy and his high rating is definitely deserved. We had a roof, vinyl siding, door/window trim, a few windows, garage doors, and garage trim all completed by his team in quick order. Long version - My neighborhood was hit with a freak hailstorm in Mid-May 2018. Tennis ball sized hail did a number to my house and every other house in a 2 mile radius. The very next day, the construction equivalent of ambulance chasers from all over the country converged and promised homeowners to fix it right. Big fancy trucks, matching uniforms, glossy pamphlets. Naturally suspicious of the convenience that they were selling I held off and met with local contractors and finally Jeremy (because of the high ratings). I am sure glad I waited. He laid everything out for me, showed me the quality of is work, suggested a few improvements within my budget and got right to work for us. Besides the quality of work I witnessed in pictures what really struck a chord with me was that his crew has been with him for years. It shows a lot of character in the construction business to have a crew work that many years for one general contractor. I could tell he cared about taking care of his crews and doing right by the customer. Fast forward 2 week before construction was to start and we had buyers remorse on the color choice for the home. I still feel bad but Jeremy really went to bat for us on siding already custom made for our job and got it switched to a different color. It wasn’t without some hardship so please, if you do decide on a color, stick to it. I’m not sure Jeremy could take another last minute change of that magnitude. Construction begins in early November. The construction crew shows up on time every day the weather permitted and even some days when it didn’t. They had many, many windows and doors that required trimming out and, if there’s one thing Jeremy takes greatest pride in, it’s the trim work. There was one gentleman bending metal full time each and every day on the job and I continue to be amazed at the quality of their work. Whereas most aluminum trim is flat, they actually made several bends in the metal to give it depth and pop out more. Additionally, we ponied up for the Azek trim around the garage doors and wow! what a difference. I get compliments daily on how great the doors and trim look. As a consequence of having such a great looking house with everything so well put together I now see other homes differently. You never recognize the poor craftsmanship and cut corners until you see great craftsmanship.

We just completed our second job with Jeremy and Sensible Home Products. Two years ago we hired the team to side the house and add can lights to the front. It came out beautiful. This year we wanted to add a free standing deck to the pool. We were so impressed with Jeremy and the crew from doing the siding that we didn't hesitate to call him again for this job. We had aluminum siding and cedar panels replaced with Vinyl Siding and Vinyl shakes, replaced the gutters, garage door, back door and installed shutters. There were 6 companies that we met with and 5 of them wanted to just overlay the old siding. Jeremy was the only one that was on board with me to remove all the existing siding and had the idea to redesign the front of the house by removing the wood boxes that surrounded each of the front windows. Putting his ideas to life was not an easy feat as his crew ran into several obstacles: removing wood attached by glue, stucco was under some of the siding making attaching the siding and shutters difficult, bees and birds nests under the wood and water damage in the back of the house. He kept me up to date daily on the work done and put me at ease on the problems that were uncovered. Never once was I told that the problem could not be solved. I can't thank him and his crew enough for replacing all the damaged wood and supporting beam rotted from the water damage in the back. Adding the shutters was a last minute decision to further enhance the look of the house - it really made it all come together. I am so happy I went with Sensible Home Products. I have worked with many contractors and was extremely happy with the work that Sensible Home Products did. Their workers where here each day, some times working in the rain and extremely cold temperatures as all the work was performed in the month of December. Jeremy promised (weather permitting) they should be done by Christmas and they completed it on Dec. 24th! We did our shopping prior to picking Sensible Home Products and obtained 4 different quotes. To be honest, Sensible Home Products was not the least expensive, but the passion that Jeremy had for doing a good job and making sure we weren't just picking any product that was not going to last, is what sold me on his company. He was able to guide us in the decision making process and gave us suggestions, which were spot on. The work crew was great to work with, kept the grounds clean and did an awesome job. The workmanship was second to none! Even the vendor they used on the gutters was awesome! Our house looks absolutely amazing thanks to Jeremy and his company, Sensible Home Products. They turned our old outdated 1950s ranch into a work of art. From the moment we met Jeremy we instantly felt at ease and knew he was a man of integrity, with a clear vision of what our house could be transformed into. We were so confident in him that we decided to give him the green light to completely design the entire exterior of our home, which included all new siding, windows, new front doors, garage doors, custom Azek trim and all new recessed lighting. Jeremy listened to our needs and his ideas were better than we could have ever envisioned. Even though we knew Jeremy had multiple jobs going on at once, he made us feel as if we were his number one priority every day for the length of the entire project. AMAZING!!! Jeremy and his crew were incredible to work with from our first conversation until the job was completed. Jeremy was very thorough when taking the initial walk through of the project and provided a vision on improvements to make it more than just a simple re-side. The suggestions of squaring off the garage doors, custom Azek trim around the garage doors, removing our old barn door, and other suggestions really ended up making our house look great. When then the crew showed up they were on-time and worked diligently to remove all of our old siding, repair sheeting, wrapping while house in insulation and then finally siding. Each of the windows and doors were trimmed but custom bent trim pieces from the crew member in our garage. Every detail was not overlooked and we couldn't be more happy.

I have recommended Sensible to a few people and they regretted not going with them based on the shoddy work they received going with someone else.

Jeremy and his team of professionals did an awesome job in siding my home. I've painted the house every 5 years with Sherwin Williams paint, and it never lasted more than 5 years without chipping. Jeremy completely stripped off all the old cedar shingles and replaced that with cedar impression siding in the front, and straight siding elsewhere. The house looks very "clean / sharp" and very presentable to the street. I wasn't looking for dramatic change, just simply no ugly paint chipping! Very proud of Jeremy's team and the work they performed. Looking forward in hiring him for my next project.

The greatest home improvement contractor I have worked with in 20 years of homeownership. Prompt and courteous call back after information request, punctual estimate appointment, great quality work performed. I will add that the work was started an hour after we agreed on a very reasonable price and was completed the same day. I got a progress call and a follow up call from Jeremy to make sure I am happy with the work done. I felt truly pampered, the feeling usually not expected from a contractor. Our experience with Jeremy and his team was superb! Jeremy's expertise and professionalism did not disappoint. We had them replace our siding on our house including the gutters, soffits and light fixtures. They also went above and beyond to replace a section of our roof that was damaged. We used SHS for new windows throughout our close to 40-year-old home, as well as new siding and gutters. Working with Jeremy to design and execute these tasks made us feel extremely confident and satisfied in choosing the company to do the work. Jeremy will do whatever he can to ensure his clients get what they want, but will also use his years of expertise to give those clients choices and ideas they might not have ever thought of. We'd certainly use Jeremy and SHS again for any future projects.

Update #2: Wow! Simply wow. Check out the brick patio. The guys put a lot of time and effort to get this right. Really impressed.

Update #1: We loved them so much that we asked them to come back and redo our deck. We loved this so much that we asked them to build a brick lower patio using the old 1970s brick we dug up from under the old deck!!! Will post more photos when done.

We engaged Jeremy to completely re-side our house and replace our windows. I can say with hand on heart that I have no hesitations recommending Jeremy for they types of renovations we undertook. Jeremy and his team certainly "delivered", from the perspectives of quality of product/installation and owner satisfaction. I can say without a doubt that Jeremy knows what he is talking about. We spent a lot of time working through the details of planning, materials, and execution. And Jeremy made sure to spend the time to explain to us the details of each. We compared several other potential providers and it was clear that Jeremy came out on top in terms of depth of knowledge and willingness to engage in the planning process, during which time he proffered helpful advice and suggestions. Execution of the project came in flawless. Staff were courteous and efficient in their work, cleaning up after each work day. They even impressed my Dad, who's very particular and meticulous in nature. As the staff pulled the old shake shingles, we discovered significant wood rot (this is a 1950s house). The wood slats were not only replaced, but Jeremy and team went ahead and augmented or replaced the underlying supporting structures. The window installations were flawless. Alignment is spot on and caulking and foam insulation was done professionally. The house was wrapped in Tyvek before work on the siding began. I can tell already that with this and the new windows, we'll save a lot on heating and cooling costs going forward. The siding we put up looks great. But what's even greater is the fact that Jeremy recommended we clean up old unused vents and electricals on the outside of the house. This made a huge positive impact on the visuals of the house. Nice clean lines. Jeremy also recommended we install AZEC Surrounds around the garage doors. And these look great too. Finally, Jeremy and team replaced the gutters and took the time to carefully re-install the gutter heaters once the gutters were back up. I'm very pleased with the end result, albeit I did promise Jeremy that I'll be replacing the garage doors at some point. Job well done! A+++

We were hit by a storm in July of 2021 and lost siding and we were immediately approached by some "storm chasing" companies who claimed they would do all of the work to submit an insurance claim and get us what was owed to us by CT law to cover the damage. After working with the "storm chasing" company for two months we learned that they were only focusing on our porch roof and they were not negotiating anything regarding the siding. That's when we looked on Angie's list and found Sensible Home Products. Jeremy called us back within a few hours of our inquiry and we met with him a few days later. Jeremy's enthusiasm about the potential curb appeal of our house, knowledge of siding products and reasonable pricing is what sold us. We worked out a contract and work was planned for May 2022. Throughout this time Jeremy kept us updated on when his team would be out delivering the siding and starting work. In March Jeremy called us with great news, that his team had finished a job early and would begin work on installing new windows and residing the entire house the following week. Jeremy's team was here as planned and they were extremely professional, clean and friendly. But after a week of demolition and Tyvek installation, we ran into a financial glitch and work needed to be paused. Jeremy was extremely patient as we worked with our insurance company and then mortgage company, even going to bat for us and getting us an additional $35K. He was amazing. When he realized that this was going to take longer than we expected, he had his team come out and ensure that the Tyvek was secure to withstand winds and storms. After a long, battle with our mortgage company and Jeremy's continued patience, we were able to finally get his team back to our house 5 months later. Our quirky house did not disappoint, as we found an exterior basement door that was not a standard size and Jeremy did not shy away from making it right. His team chiseled through cement and studs to make the door a standard size. After many trips to Home Depot, calls and visits from Jeremy to talk about the project, discussions with his team, our house finally had 16 band new windows, 3 new doors and all new siding. I had not been able to see out of many of our windows due to mold and broken seals and now everything worked, we could see and our house was so much warmer. We can't say enough good things about Jeremy and his patience, enthusiasm and his team. We look forward to our next project with him.

Un-freaking Believable!! I am over the moon with Sensible Home Products! Jeremy, the owner, has a hands on approach that makes you feel like you are his only client . He is brilliant. He is experienced and he is creative. He has this extensive appreciation for the little finishes and details that no other company will give you. We had siding, windows, doors, electrical, a whole new front walkway, added a new side porch, hardscape work , a window removed, windows added & installed, gutters, lighting and drainage added. After having a major big box retailer's siding job fail in less than 15 years, along with 8 out of 18 windows that had the seals fail. My wife and I got 3 estimates from local home improvement companies. We went with sensible home products after Jeremy the owner met with us and went over all the details of the steps involved in siding our house and new window installation. And after showing us the siding samples ,we decided to go with the premium choice of prodigy insulated siding. It cost us more of course ,but boy are we happy. This siding is thicker and insulated. It looks like wood planks due to grain texture and larger face. Beautiful new Harvey Tribute windows look great. We also had new gutters, stone paver walkway, new front steps with bluestone and white composite railings put in. Also new front door. But the best thing we did was going with sensible home products co. Jeremy and the crew that worked on our house were honestly better than I hoped they would be. They knew 100% what they were doing. And even did things I didn't think of, like re-routing wires on side of house that were in plastic conduit pipes into the wall cavity out of sight and made for a much cleaner job. If somebody does a lousy job for me I am not shy in letting them know. I also believe strongly in expressing my gratitude for a job that came out better than I was already expecting. Doesn't happen very often but this time was exceptional. Our ranch looks great now! Thank you Jeremy and all your men that worked on our house.

Jeremy sided my 1982 cape and garage and installed new windows. He was on time, coordinated all the details and did a great job. He uses high quality siding and has great attention to detail, the trim/flashing work was outstanding. He found some rot when he took off the old siding and he fixed it up like new before putting up the new siding. He cleaned up thoroughly and when he was done it was like a new house.

He was so good that when a tree fell on the house at little later I called him for the roof repair. Of all the home contractors I have used over the years Jeremy is the best both in quality of the work he does and in his communication and coordination. He would be my first call if I ever need siding or windows.

We contracted Sensible to strip and replace the siding on our newly purchased home which (as you can see) was in rough shape. Throughout this whole project, Jeremy and team were fantastic at communicating with us and were incredibly transparent from start to finish. It became apparent from day 1 that everyone's main focus was on the quality of their work and not simply getting the job done as soon as possible. This was proven to be true during the first week into our project when the crew pulled me outside to show me extensive wood damage/rotting found hidden underneath the aged siding. The damage was so bad that it would require immediate attention before they could continue with the project.

Luckily for us, we picked the right contractor who had our backs. The team somehow managed to replace all of the rotted wood/reframe certain sections/and much more work that needed to be done in just four days. They really went above and beyond for us and I couldn't be more impressed and thankful. By the end of the project, Sensible truly transformed the exterior of our home and we could not be happier with the results.

Not only did we get everything mentioned above, but as you can imagine in a large project involving stripping down old cedar siding on an 80 yr old home, we found surprises. And Jeremy and his crew took these all in stride without a hiccup. There were never any shortcuts, no band-aids, no fixes that left you questioning where your hard-earned money was going, but instead, we got expert and creative solutions.
