My experience with Select Homes NW was excellent. I ended up needing a much larger (and time intensive) basement/ADU remodel than I had anticipated, and Cameron and Rick were up to the task. They were flexible as the project went through several iterations, skilled in all areas of construction, got the job done in an expedient manner, and did all of the work with quality, and within a reasonable budget. They were all around very easy to work with throughout the entire project. It is not easy to find trustworthy and quality skilled contractors, and I am very happy I went with Select Homes. I highly recommend them for small to large projects.

We are repeat customers and we will continue to use these guys. We recently had an unexpected leak in our upstairs bathroom that led to massive amounts of damage to our first floor and we didn’t know where to turn. Our insurance claim was way too expensive and outside our budget but Cameron and Rick responded and repaired it for a much more reasonable price. We were so worried that we might have to cancel our family vacation but the guys were freaking amazing and speedy. Absolutely life savers! We can’t thank them enough, these are the guys to turn to for all home repairs and renovations trust me!

They recently completed an awning for my back patio. it was completed in a timely manor, they were also very responsive to all my questions, and explained all building options. Would highly recommend their services.

Two months prior to the arrival of Covid we purchased a wonderful 100-year-old house on Puget Sound. The living room faces due west with a wall of windows looking out on the deck and across the sound, making the deck a dramatic focal point for the house. One problem - since the deck was old and riddled with dry rot, we were concerned that someone could lean against the weakened railing and crash through to the ground ten feet below. Obviously, the existing deck had to be torn down, a new one had to be built in its place, and, due to the deck’s prominence, it had to be perfect.

Select Homes NW was recommended to us by Gray Lumber in Tacoma (they provided decking and lumber for the project). Working with Cameron and Richard “Rick” Buesgens from Select Homes NW was a great experience for us, starting with the estimating process. The Buesgens showed up on time to scope the project and hear what our expectations were. It was a very straightforward meeting – not a sales pitch. They paid attention, asked pertinent questions, and made relevant suggestions. Within a few days we had received their estimate and agreed to proceed with the project. By contrast, we also requested an estimate from another firm, who, after a very enthusiastic sales-oriented meeting, promised to provide our estimate the very next day. We never heard from them again.

Once materials were ordered and delivered, Rick and Cameron worked 5 days a week, 7 – 9 hours a day, until the project was completed. 5 weeks later the entire project, including some custom millwork, painting, and waterproofing of a sunroom below the deck, was completed – a week longer than projected due to some increased scope and unanticipated problems. (They are also good problem solvers. None of these issues were dropped in our laps. They figured out how to get things done and kept moving forward) Their work was very precise, and neat. They tidied up at the end of every workday, and the site was at least as neat when the project was done as it was before the project began. We were very pleased with the experience and are planning to work with them on other remodeling projects over the course of the next several months.

This is the team to hire for all your home needs, the guys go above and beyond and their work is amazing. We have had bad experiences in the past with contractors, but this was by far the best experience we’ve had with any repairs/projects. I love the fact that they constantly asked for our input to make sure what they were doing is exactly what we wanted. We had a vision and the guys helped us figure out what was the best route to get what we wanted, they helped us understand cost and what would be most cost efficient. We have many more projects to complete and we’ve already found the team to do them.

Super dependable family owned company that does top notch work and great to work with. We hired Select Homes NW for a salon expansion. They went above and beyond and even created custom retail desks for the salon. We really appreciate their attention to detail! Highly recommend this company!!
