Select Construction came to our house two days after we called about several missing shingles and bare plywood on our 8-year-old roof, which a neighbor had alerted us to. Technician Julio was extremely friendly, informative and thorough. He was ready to repair our roof the same day, which was great because it was supposed to rain heavily the next day. He reported no damaged plywood, laid new roofing paper, and replaced over 20 shingles, taking the extra step to apply roofing cement to each shingle (on top of the self-adhesive already on the shingles). Select would charge $280 for minimum roof repair of replacing up to five shingles, $360 for replacing about 10 shingles, and they charged us $480 to replace over 20 shingles. Based on the experiences of other neighbors, we were lucky to find a roofer that was willing to do small repairs, and we were lucky to be charged such a reasonable price. We highly recommend them!

June 19, 2025 follow-up: I contacted Select to replace a couple more missing shingles. Louisa informed me that their price for minor repairs had gone up, but they gave me the original price since there were only two shingles and I had been a repeat customer. I greatly appreciate this level of customer service and recognition!

Do not contract with Select Construction. You will have to "SELECT" which one of your bank accounts you want to pull money from for repair because they DO NOT honor any warranty on their work.

I have the same problem as other customers with our metal roof installation. They leak water. Consider yourself lucky if you catch it before it destroys your home. The poor installation was done very quickly and they did not seal under or around the roofline before they slapped the roof on my home.

BEWARE!! They do not have or honor any warranty on their poor craftsmanship!!

Do not do business with this shady company. They installed my roof wrong and when my brand new roof started leaking they wanted me to pay $400 for them to come out and reseal it and said I would need to do this yearly! Said it was regular maintenance upkeep. Liars and cheats

Installed roofing on new toll home in 2012. Metal porch roof done incorrectly with layers of caulk underneath. Addressed problem with roofer and builder. Supposedly fixed. Eight years later leaking a great deal. Contractor I hired took photos and said roof had been leaking all along and was done improperly. Select Roofing refuses to do anything, saying it is not under warranty. They created the problem but don’t want to own it. Toll is just as guilty for using this contractor and allowing substandard work. Avoid this company like the plague.

I have used Select Construction for both residential and commercial properties ranging from Entire apartment complexes to single multimillion dollar homes. I found them to be a very reliable firm with skilled employees. In my case we were able to stay on schedule and under budget. They have excellent communication between office and field personnel. Also I noted they left my job sites clean and orderly as I had requested . Thank you

The customer service is outstanding and so is the staff. The contractors are friendly, reliable and very timely .. This is my go to contractors. Le Anne and her staff are quick to help, and even quicker to answer any questions thoroughly and professionally.. you have a customer for life!

Julio was great!

I'm a homeowner that had a disagreement with our builder, Toll Brothers, about what was causing peeling paint on a bathroom ceiling. Julio went into our attic, carefully walked the trusses to reach the spot where the bathroom vent came out of the ceiling. Toll Brothers' inspectors were unwilling to do that. Julio took pictures to show that there was no leak and the ceiling drywall was unstained.

Then Julio went onto the roof and sealed each vent by lifting up the shingles around the vent. He said builders have not been doing this until 2 years ago or so. Our house was built 6 years ago so we were glad to have this done. He said nothing had seeped through, but now we're more protected. He also caulked around the pipe boot of each vent.

He also checked the dryer vent and pulled a softball-sized wad out of the vent cover. We had already had someone clean our ducts, including the dryer duct, from the inside with a snake four months ago, but obviously he didn't get the giant wad at the vent cover.

I got great value and peace of mind due to Julio's expertise. Thanks guys!
