Shout out to Selah roofing and Paul in particular! Not only were they able to come out as soon as possible and repair a leak in my tenants home, but he did it for free. I was quoted $4500 from another company and wasn’t provided any pictures or a detailed quote as to why or what was causing the leak. Turns out it was something so minor he didn’t even charge us lol. Thank you guys so much we will always contact Selah in the future for any problems with not just our tenants homes but ours as well.

Calvin at Selah roofing has helped me several times. He gives honest feedback, even when it might lead to a less costly repair. He recently did a roof inspection for me, and gave a great suggestion regarding repairing the roof, rather than replacing it. I would highly recommend Calvin.

I needed a roof estimate quick. As in same day quick. I called this place in the morning and Calvin answered the phone. Calvin was able to come by about 34- hours later to give a roof estimate. He took his time to inspect. He also looked at the termite report and double checked the said areas.

I had a bad experience with Calvin from Selah Roofing. In November 2020, I contacted calvin of Selah Roofing for my home roof inspection. Inspection cost was $120, however he charged me $150. When I asked him why he charged more, he responded that he will refund me back $30 if I write a positive review about him and his company. I wrote a review as per his request and asked for the refund. He stated giving excuses and at one point stopped responding to my msgs and to my calls. Though the money is not big for me, I felt cheated. His service regarding my roof inspection was below par and his estimates are very high compared to others.
"Don't waste your time with Calvin or with Selah Roofing".

So grateful that they gave me a quick estimate on such short notice! I was in escrow on a home and there was damage to the roof that I needed to request credit for. They fit me into their schedule to ensure I could move forward with the house purchase. The estimate they provided was very detailed plus they were able to identify exactly what the problem was--the materials that were used, the impact of weather damage, the age of the area in question. I would highly recommend using them. Knowledgeable, reliable and nice to work with--it doesn't get any better than that!

Called several roofing companies to inquire about seasonal maintenance but sadly, most of the roofing companies listed on Yelp were only in the business for replacing/installing new roofs. Thankfully, Selah Roofing does seasonal maintenance. Explained to rep that we just moved in a new place and inspection report recommended to replace cracked tiles and ensure vents/pipes are sealed. Rep was very nice and scheduled an on-site visit just before Christmas. Also received an email confirmation, which was very helpful. On the day of, Calvin, the assigned roofer texted and asked if it was okay to come in earlier than scheduled since he finished early from another appointment. Told Calvin it was okay but needed to fully disclosed I have another company coming in as well and I may not be able to provide full attention; he was okay with it.

Calvin came in just before the other company arrived and quickly assessed my roofing condition. It was also great that Calvin was wearing a mask and respectful of COVID preventative requirements. Calvin went up my roof, came down, and told me that since there weren’t too many tiles to replace, he’ll do them at no charge. I was quite confused when he said to contact the other company and cancel the appointment just out of respect and for them not to waste time to come since he’ll be replacing the cracked tiles for free. Calvin went to work and got back up on my roof, removed all the cracked tiles, and replaced them. He also checked the vents/pipes, and said they’re still in good condition.

Calvin and Selah Roofing gained my respect and I couldn’t be more honored to share this experience so others who are looking for a roofing company to do a seasonal maintenance would give Selah Roofing an opportunity to earn their trust and business just like I did.

I called Saleh Rooting after receiving a letter from my insurer requesting that I get a roof inspection done by a qualified professional and submit a report to them before they're willing to renew my policy for the following year. Over the phone they were quote professional and able to schedule me quickly. I told them exactly what my insurance letter said and they quoted me $450 for an inspection but offered a $300 discount if I promised to write an honest google or yelp review. That's a no brainer, but more on that later.....

My appointment was for today at noon and the representative they sent was quite timely arriving only a few minutes after our scheduled time. No issues there but the person they sent could be described as someone who seems like they don't care about how they represent their company and likely the type who doesn't wash their hands after using the restroom. He came out, asked if I was who he was looking for and quickly got out of his car and handed me a card without putting on a facemask despite me wearing one myself. Clifford then proceeded to walk around my house, sometimes less than 6 feet from me, occasionally coughing into the wind without a care. After walking the perimeter of the house, he got a telescoping ladder out of his car climbed up till he was head level with my roof and asked if I wanted him to actually go onto the roof. I responded that I needed him to do whatever he typically did for a report that I could furnish to my insurer. He said he had seen enough and did no need to go up on the roof or risk falling.

When he climbed down, he finally told me that he'll put on a mask and show me some pictures. Though I told him I didn't really need to see any pictures since I needed a report and probably an estimate on any repairs I would need but he insisted and handed me his phone. Then came the sales pitch and him showing me materials etc. I really did not want to sit through a sales pitch during a pandemic and told him so. In response, Clifford pointed to my car and said that when I bought the car, I had to listen to a sales pitch. I told him that I bought the car used after doing my own research and that I didn't feel we'd be able to do business by the way he was talking to me and how he was not following CDC recommended COVID prevention matters. We agreed at that point and returned to our cars. Upon leaving, Clifford pulled up next to my car which was driven by my pregnant wife, opened his window and shouted at my wife that he was married to a registered nurse. Why he felt that necessary is beyond me.

I called Selah because of the other ratings I found for them, sadly my experience did not match what I found. I think they should look into how Clifford is representing the company when not supervised as he left a very negative impression.

One final point, the business card that Clifford gave me has "Free Inspection" printed on the back. In hindsight, the $450 inspection fee and $300 discount if I left a review seem to be false pretenses to get more reviews. I'm a little disappointed about that as well.

It’s busy season right now but Calvin from Selah Roofing was able to squeeze a roof inspection in for my real estate client in less than a week! Calvin also got to the property early and began inspecting on his own and ran through the dome findings with me. The property that my client is purchasing is a flat roof property (normally comes with many problems) and Selah Roofing is the perfect candidate to inspect your roof and suggest any repairs, if needed!

Calvin showed up on time and was very through on his summary of the roof issues, age, and suggestions he advises. Calvin and his team are wonderful. My clients hired them to fix a leak in their roof which required the membrane, ridge and several rows of shingles to be replaced. They showed up on time, were very polite and professional, cleaned up before they left, and the new roof blends in perfectly with the old roof.

I’m in escrow and needed a roof inspector at the last minute. Many roofing companies couldn’t come out, but Selah was the roofing company that said yes. Calving came over and conducted a thorough inspection. He was very nice and detailed. I will definitively use them again.

We interviewed seven companies and chose Calvin Black (a principal) and Selah Roofing to do the job. Their guys were excellent, the work has proved effective.

Roofing is construction, so by definition there will be surprises. And we had a few surprises. Mostly it was no one’s fault, just the residue of opening up the roof and decking and finding what’s happened over the last 25 years. So there were change orders, but at a completely reasonable cost and at little delay in completing the job.

We like these guys, we liked everyone involved. We would hire them again in a second. We have an easy time recommending them. Talk to Calvin Black before you choose a roofing company.

Selah was the ONLY one of about 7 different roofing companies that I contacted through Yelp that was willing to evaluate a small roofing job/repair. Some even said they could come out ...but not for FOUR WEEKS.

ANGELA @Selah immediately responded and sent out CARLOS the same day to inspect our leaky roof. Carlos is the most repectful young man you'll ever meet. He was very professional, knowlegeable and thorough as well. He took several pictures of our roof, including the interior attic space. He sat patiently with me and explained all the issues even provided me with a brief "educational lesson" on what type of materials and repairs had already been done on the 25+ year old roof. (Which was great because we had only bought the home 4 years ago and did not know the roof's history). Carlos gave us a great price for the entire job then left us in the hands of CALVIN who continued with processing our job and finding a way to further discount our roofing materials for an even better price!
Long story short...after working closely with Selah for several weeks, we were unable to complete the job due to the dishonesty and non-professionalism of our solar panel company.. .UGGH! Selah attempted to assist us in resolving the issue for several days. They even contacted the solar company themselves to explain to them that the panels should not have been placed on a roof in poor condition (just a few years ago) and the solar company should therefore not charge us THOUSANDS of dollars to remove and replace them. (Our attorney ultimately had to get involved and the roofing job start date had to be canceled). Meanwhile, Selah not only refunded our deposit BUT Angela personally delivered a check to our home to ensure we got it BEFORE Christmas. Calvin also gave us some additional great advice on how to proceed with remedying the issue with our solar company.
So, our roofing job is on hold but we will DEFINITELY be going directly to Selah for all future roofing jobs/needs. No need to shop around! This company proved that they are honest, ethical, helpful, and willing to go ABOVE & BEYOND for there customers. Thanks Angela,Carlos & Calvin for everything!

Quick response, polite and helpful approach, lowest estimates out of about 10 other roofing companies I have called spending all my day.
But the most important, Calvin is such a nice positive person, ready to give you the best help when you are in need. He is professional and intelligent roofing expert, kind and decent man! I had a difficult roof to redo. My home was built in 1968 and it is a track house. The framing was very rough and settling had occurred to exasperate the situation. Selah roofing help me to get out of a contract with a unscrupulous company. They then gave me a fair price on the roof and solar. They reworked some areas that were improperly installed.
