Seasonal Services

Simply stated, Tyler and his team at Seasonal Services did an excellent job, and I can't give them a high enough recommendation.

We recently purchased a home in Buffalo on a hill overlooking the town and mountains. Unfortunately, we learned not too long after moving in that the retaining wall, that helps to keep the house on the hill, was in poor shape. Without a tear-down and rebuild, there was no question that negative repercussions would occur over time. We'd already engaged Seasonal Services for regular landscaping duties (e.g., mowing, pruning, etc.), and their quality was excellent, so we thought we'd ask them if they could help rebuild the wall and integrate it into the property's existing landscaping. Fortunately for us, we learned that this was right on point with the kind of work they do, so we signed them up!

Apparently we're not the only folks that have discovered the fine work that Seasonal Services performs, because we had to wait a little longer than we'd hoped for the actual project to kick off. But the eventual commencement of the project, and the product that was produced, was well worth the wait.

My wife and I had some ideas as to what we wanted to see in the end product, but Tyler and his team had the experience and the vision that not only enhanced our ideas but added additional elements and function that were clearly better (without going over budget!). That's not to say that there weren't changes along the way, because there were; some came from my wife and I, and Seasonal Services offered some of their own. But all efforts occurred within the agreed-upon budget, along with mutual consent for any incremental costs due to changes/additions.

It's always heartening to get what you pay for, but watching the efforts of Tyler and his team, I feel we actually got more than we were expecting. They're some of the hardest working and most conscientious folks I've met (I think a great deal of that comes with Wyoming). The rebuild of the retaining wall involved the heavy lifting of hundreds of 85 lb. cinder blocks, totaling more than 55,000 pounds. Because of the hill's shape, the next-door neighbor's fences, and the trees along the fence and hill, accessibility for the rebuild was very challenging. Much of the heavy lifting and other work had to be done manually. We didn't hear any complaints (I would've been squawking!) and the attitudes always seemed to be positive & lighthearted. They were a pleasure to have around...

As far as total cost is concerned, it wasn't cheap, but I have no qualms about paying, because I know the product is solid and will outlast my time. Our house will still be on the hill, even after we're gone.

There were a number of people involved in making this project a success, but I'd like to make special mention of Tyler, Alex, Cordelia and Michael. They're good people who do great work!

Good company, from the start they take care of you. It’s been fun to watch them grow and become more successful each year, with better equipment and more options for clients.

Did a great job clearing all of my branches and yard waste that had become a huge pile. Highly recommend!
