I have used Sawtooth on two occasions to repair serious issues with my log home. The first was to remove and replace two large (12"-16" diameter x 15'-20' long ) logs on the exterior of the house. I don't know how they did it, but they were fast and efficient and best of all charged me almost $10,000 less than their original estimate.
The second was this past fall when I decided to replace a wooden deck. When the contractor finished the demolition, he found considerable dry rot including a two story log that helped to support the roof. The job was beyond the scope of my contractor and I called Sawtooth. They came out immediately, gerry-rigged a roof support and repaired the supporting log, which was swinging like a pendulum. The entire roof would have collapsed this winter with the weight of the snow. I didn't ask them for a quote for the repairs because it was an emergency, but it was half of what I expected to pay.
I recommend them highly!
