The best call I've made, excellent work and will call again if I need anything done. Took care of some windows for me.

Was able to get ahold of a gentleman pretty quickly and communicated with him via text to get things ordered for a pane of glass to be replaced in our window. Unfortunately after 3 weeks of waiting, the wrong window was ordered. And the process started over. After a few weeks of not hearing anything I called in and he said that everything had just been delivered that day, so we scheduled the install. After install, I inspected the window to find a small amount of glass shards in the window sill. Looking at the window, there was (what to me feels like an excessive amount) silicone squeeze out all around the glass and it honestly just looks terrible. I feel like they could’ve cleaned up a little better (or cleaned the glass at all because there smudges aside from the excess silicone). Maybe im being too critical, but I’d expect more when I paying a lot for these services.

We had Rusco do warranty work for some windows with failed seals in our house. Let me clarify that we did not purchase the original windows through them, but found out that they cover/do the warranty work for the windows that were installed in our house. We were told that warranty work would take longer. We understood that and were very patient with them, but it was an excessively, ridiculously long time.
The first time we had them do warranty work, about 4 years ago, the installer banged and pounded so hard on the window frame or whatever he was banging and pounding on when he was replacing the window to make it to fit, (I guess?) he knocked the decorative slats in the half-moon window above it out of kilter-out of whack; so they were off centered. I called to let them know at the time, left at least 2 messages for the manager, Roger, and never heard a word back from him.
Recently, now over 3 years later, we had them do warranty work again. My husband told them we still expected that window to be replaced. It took them over 3 years to replace that half-moon window.
This is the second time we had them do warranty work. It took at least 3 or 4 months for the replacement glass to come in, and 2 of the replacement windows cracked when they installed them-in November-in ND. The installer assured us that they would be replaced again before winter got really cold. They were not. We're lucky we had a mild winter! We had to call them several more times over the winter, this spring, and this summer to ask when the cracked windows would be replaced. 8 months later was the correct answer we found out. About a year or more from the time they were at my home to measure for the replacements, wait for the order, first installation (cracked), wait again (8 months-get the runaround) and finally they are fixed.
They barely left the house after the recent install, and we received a bill for service and labor. Nothing itemized, just a flat fee. Is this for the half-moon window that was perfectly fine until their installer screwed it up with his aggressive install of the window below it? Is it sevice and labor for 2 windows that cracked, then service and labor again for replacing the 2 windows that cracked? I wanted these questions answered, and I didn't get that when I called. What I did get was a lot of hemming and hawing from Roger at first, then b.s., rudeness and an ultimatum. And the conversation went nowhere fast on both our ends.
When I called to question the bill, Roger, the manager, insisted that I didn't WANT to pay the bill, and it would come out of his own pocket if I didn't. I told him I never said that, but WHY should I have to pay this and why WOULD YOU expect a customer to pay this after all these issues and circumstances that were created by your installers and taking everything into consideration with all that happened, including the excessively long time this took-which we were extremely patient throughout. He had agreed earlier in the conversation that we were patient, and it was an excessively long time to wait.
Then he gave me this ultimatum: If you don't pay this bill, I'll go up and pay it myself, and I won't do your warranty work anymore, I don't have to cover your warranty, you can go to Norandex.
And then tried to tell me how nice he was and what a good person he really was. And then told me I was dramatic.
If you like being jerked around and blown off by a business with the feeling that they hope you give up and go elsewhere, this might be the place for your window replacement warranty work.
If you want new windows, save yourself the headaches of future warranty work and go somewhere else!

Steve and the crew did an excellent job of replacing my storm windows on my house, they even helped with replacing a couple of broken panes on the inside. Very professional installation and they were up front with an additional charge because of some additional trim that had to be added. Overall project cost was still within 10% of the estimate.
Rusco Windows are still the best in the industry in my book!

I've returned to edit my review. My first door from Rusco did admittedly have issues but after only one call the company worked very hard to make things right and they were by the end.

While I can't say it was a smooth ride start to finish I will say this company made every effort to fix it. I'm the end they did just that!

We just had two large picture windows installed. We were very impressed by the installation team. Very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do to take care of a problem with the previous windows. Showed up promptly at 8:30 and were done before noon. The replaced woodwork was an exact match. They were very conscientious about cleaning up after themselves. The salesman was OK but where Rusco shined was with the installation team. Would definitely use them again!!

We recently downsized to a Park Model home in Northwestern Minnesota. With only single paned windows, we called Rusco for ideas. We opted with interior magnetic storm windows. We measured, we measured wrong...even though the fault was ours, they were still willing to cut them down for us. I am so pleased with our windows and even more pleased with Rusco Windows customers service!!

Very happy with our 2 new windows and patio door. Can't wait to see the difference this winter with better quality windows and insulation around them. The install crew was professional and friendly. From the original estimate to setting up the install, Ryan was great. Good communication between us and the company. Always kept us posted on the window install.

Ryan, our salesperson was amazing. We had some issues during and after install of our new windows and Rusco took time to correct the issues and change their policies to eliminate the issues from happening again in the future.

Worst installation of storm door and poorest quality of storm door that I have ever experienced from Rusco, and I am a longtime — until now, always satisfied—customer. I used to sing their praises. This will be the third time I will need to have someone come out to fix a problem and the door has only been in place for a couple months. (It would be fourth, but my husband was able to fix one of the problems.) I feel like I paid a hefty price, but got a second-rate job. The first issue was a manufacturing problem with the Larson storm door, so a very nice man from Larson in Brookings came out and replaced a part. The second issue was a warped trim piece that had to do with the installation. It took quite a bit of follow-up (e-mail and phone) to get someone here, but in time a very nice man from Rusco came and applied more nails and squirted lots of adhesive. Maybe texting would have been a more effective way to communicate. All the people I have worked with at Rusco have been very nice. I appreciate that. But it seems the quality I have counted on from Rusco is missing. Maybe Covid has taken away workers or maybe the training or oversight has changed. I don’t know. Maybe this public review will cause greater urgency in getting the most recent problem fixed. The most recent problem: water fell on my head when I opened the storm door this morning. It felt pretty good because it was hot out, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t supposed to happen. Oh, and there’s now water between two layers of glass in the lower half of the door—an area that doesn’t even open and I can’t even access. I don’t know how it got there. I’m sorry to give such a poor review to a company I once had a lot of respect for. And I’m sorry to give a poor review to people who are genuinely nice.

I had other window companies come to my home and quote me ridiculous prices for a front picture window. Rusco Window was honest with me and gave me a quote 5x below the competitor. They ordered my window and came out and installed it the following week. I am very pleased.

Very impressed with the service. I had all the windows replaced in my house. The three day install went smoothly, I was able to reuse all my previous window treatments which I was told might not happen, so that was good news. Salesman Taylor Arne was very professional, represented his product well, and when a couple Windows weren't quite right he was out right away to see what was up. Rusco's service department was great and came out to fix problems quickly. Overall a great experience and windows are of equal or better quality than others I was shown at a much better price

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I had my dad take a window to Rusco Window Company in Fargo. The home was on the market and needed to be repaired immediately. He drove from Breckenridge, MN to Fargo and dropped off the window. Five days later my dad called to see where things were at with the repair. Not only had they not fixed it, they told him that they had not even ordered the glass for it yet. He reminded the Rusco employee how he had told them how urgently the window was needed as the home was on the market for sale. It fell on deaf ears. I contacted Rusco. The first lady I spoke with was not helpful at all. I finally asked to speak with the manager. I spoke with the service manager who attempted to tell me that I had no reason to be upset. He made this unapologetic comment despite knowing that the window repair was urgently needed as it was holding up a home sale. Realizing that I was getting nowhere with him, I asked to speak with the general manager or the owner. Of course, neither of them were around. Long story short, I would not do business with them. We all screw up from time to time, but the apologetic attitudes of the employees at Rusco are good cause for taking my business elsewhere. I'd encourage you to think twice before conducting business with Rusco Window Company.

My mother, who is in her eighties, stopped in at Rusco Windows to pick up some pieces needed to fix her screen door and window. She was helped by owner Jeff Olsen, who not only helped her pick out what she needed but offered to stop by her home and install them for her...at no charge. While he did score a piece of homemade apple pie, he went way above and beyond. Customer service at its highest level! Thank you Jeff and Rusco Windows.

I ordered a lockable patio door handle over a month ago. I've made 2 phone calls and my contractor has stopped by once. The first time I called they said they'd have someone call me back. A week later I hadn't heard anything so I called again and explained that I still didn't have my patio door handle and that the woman who had answered had told me I would receive a phone call. I was informed that there was some type of issue with my order and it should be on this week's truck... and that I'd get a phone call. I still don't have a door handle and I never did receive a phone call. Perhaps the window company needs to call the phone company to have their outgoing telephone calling fixed, however, I also accept updates via facebook, twitter, Skype, snapchat, express mail, snail mail, and carrier pigeon.

absolutely unprofessional, they are changing the windows in my apartment building, i spent the afternoon in the hotel i used to work at the day they said they would change out my windows. my windows were changed, but when i got back home from work that night, i found their large taco bell drink on my stove and today i noticed one of the adjustment rods for the blinds was broken. there was no attempt to replace or change it, i can't wait til these bozos are gone
