I had an excellent experience working with Vitaly from Rot Doctor on several major home improvement projects. He handled our siding work, completely redid our front porch, fixed extensive rot issues, and rebuilt our fence—all with outstanding results.

What impressed me most was his transparency throughout the entire process. He was upfront about costs, timelines, and any challenges that arose. His communication was exceptional—he kept us informed every step of the way and was always available to answer questions or address concerns.

We hired the Rot Doctor to fix our rotted porch posts on the front entryway of our house. They replaced the rotted wood posts, installed metal cap flashing to our cantilever beams to prevent future rotting, plus went extra mile with adding an additional post to support the center peak on the porch for no extra cost. They had a competitive price for the work which also included painting and dump fees. I am extremely happy with the replacements and workmanship on our 56-year-old entry porch. Vitaly and his crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

Vitaliy and his crew Alex and Peter have good carpentry skills, work hard and get things done quickly. Vitaliy is very responsive, easy to talk to. Our problem was that water got behind our house sidings. Vitaliy identified the cause and fix it. He also water proofed our back deck. Overall, they did a great job.

Vitaliy and his crew installed 2 TimberTech decks for me over concrete patios that had seen better days. Vitaliy was excellent and patient with my high level of detail in planning the layout and connection between the decks and they turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined. They transformed my yard into a modern and very accessible outdoor living space. Every member of the crew did the amount of work I would expect from at least 3 workers each day, so the work and cleanup were completed very efficiently.

The charges for their work were very reasonable and Vitaliy was also able to provide an estimate for and quickly replace the entire backyard fence when multiple sections blew down in a storm just as they were finishing the original project. I highly recommend Rot Doctor for decks, fences, and any other building projects they offer to take on!

Initially, I was soliciting bids to repair the rotted areas in my main entrance deck. This deck was 50 years old and had several bad areas around the periphery. The consensus of most contractors was to replace rather than attempt repairs.

We hired the Rot Doctor to fix rotted wood siding on our house and shed. They replaced the rotted wood, installed metal flashing to prevent future rot, and painted the area. They had a competitive price for the work and also included painting which another company didn’t include, so that made it easier for us to do all the work with one company. I appreciate that they called out other rot issues I didn’t even notice to ensure we got everything fixed without missing something. When they arrived and started work I realized I wanted help touching up paint in a few other areas and they were able to add that on too, which was very helpful! They even took the leftover paint we had and color matched it at the store to buy more paint, saving me the trip. They were also able to give me quotes for different levels of work to help me choose how much I wanted done and I never felt pressured to pay for more service than I wanted. When they found extra rot under the rotted siding they even offered to give me time to source quotes from other companies to feel comfortable, but I loved working with the Rot Doctor so much I just stuck with them for that. I would definitely recommend the Rot Doctor and work with them again if needed!

I had three roof beams for a covered deck that extended beyond the roof and were susceptible to rot. Vitaliy and his team replaced one of the beams that had rot extending underneath the roof, and cut the other two beams back to the roof line. They also treated and repainted the beams, and did a great job removing and reinstalling the existing vinyl siding as needed. Vitaliy and his team were professional and great to work with on this project. I appreciated Vitaliy's communication and adjustments to the project scope to accommodate my feedback. I highly recommend Rot Doctor and will hire again if I have an applicable project.

I can not say enough positive things about Rot Doctor. Vitaliy is highly communicative and very punctual (hard to find these days). Having used him on projects in the past, he was the best (and competitively priced) choice for a complete deck and partial railing rebuild with both Trex and Azek. It turned out beautifully. Peter did most of the work and was meticulous throughout, with Vitaliy checking in on a daily basis. While they were onsite, they also repaired a fairly large water leak/dry rot issue. That too looks wonderful. I would highly recommend Rot Doctor and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

Vitaliy and his crew helped resolve a 3 year nightmare of a leak that plagued my window and siding. Before reaching out, I talked with several other contractors. Those other guys either gave confusing quotes, sight unseen; wanted to charge hourly with unknown work time; or in the case where I actually paid a contractor, provided substandard work. Vitaliy, on the other hand, was very upfront with his initial assessment during a free consultation. He said he had a good idea of the source, but would need to charge for a full inspection to be sure. His quote was reasonable (not the cheapest, but I've learned my lesson about that), and I was very satisfied with his assessment. He gave me another reasonable quote for resolving the leak and got started right away. Aside from a delay due to a freak ice storm obviously outside his control, his crew's work was timely and professional. As of writing, it's been 4 weeks and several rainstorms since his fix and I'm happy to report there's been no leaks since!

Rot Doctor turned what might have been a nightmare situation into something easy and low-stress.

I woke up after a heavy rainstorm in November to a leak flooding into the dining area from the balcony above it. After countless phone calls and in-home estimates, Rot Doctor was clearly ahead of the competition — Vitaliy brought an easy demeanor, confidence in the work to be done, and laid out realistic expectations for what we might find when the surface of the balcony was removed.

The crew was unobtrusive while they worked, meaning my family and I could come and go without any concerns. The work was fast and thorough, with photos along the way and clear explanations about each step of the process. I never once felt like I was being talked down to, and I'm looking forward to enjoying our beautiful new balcony when the weather warms up!

I was very happy with the results of both my roof decks. Both decks turned out better than I expected. I am very impressed with the flashing system under my railings which in the past has always been a problem for rot.

We chose Rot Doctor initially to rebuild a rotted small balcony deck on our home, after consulting with several contractors. Vitaliy’s professionalism and follow-through on the original quote helped us decide to choose Rot Doctor, and we’re so happy we did. They arrived on time, did exactly what they said they would do, and both the workmanship and communication were outstanding throughout this initial project.

Based on their stellar performance, we engaged Rot Doctor again to rebuild our other 3 larger rotting decks (our house has 4 total that were all original 1968 non-pressure treated painted lumber). Vitaliy also redesigned the large primary deck that previously was largely unusable due to an ugly/dirty tree it surrounded. The new primary deck design is amazing. Vitaliy’s team removed the tree and handled all the engineering & permits. They also rebuilt a 2nd-level cantilevered deck above the driveway that required sister joists to be installed, which meant removing drywall/insulation in the garage ceiling and replacing same when done. Every bit of their work was done with the utmost professionalism.

I'm a perfectionist, which means I am often a tough customer. Rot Doctor gets my highest rating for contractor services. I cannot speak highly enough of Vitaliy and his crew. If you need deck work done, you won’t find better than Rot Doctor.

I highly recommend rot doctor. Vitaly and his crew were great. My new deck looks amazing and rot doctor had the best price by far! Vitaly checked in with me throughout the project and was in constant communication. His crew did excellent work. I've already recommend him to people.

Very impressed with the services! Vitaly was very prompt and responsive when called about the concern for water leakage. He worked on identifying the issue diligently and made very clean cuts which were put back together by his teammates in excellent fashion. Will definitely refer him further and reach out to him again in the event of concerns with our house in future.

At first I just needed the 20 foot beam under my deck replaced. Vitaly was professional at the estimate. I got other estimates from other contractors who recommended other work as well, so I asked Vitaly if he would return to give me bids for that stuff, and he did. Afterwards I initially told him I was going with another company and he was respectful of my decision. When I later decided to hire him instead to just do the original beam replacement, he was not vindictive or petty and scheduled me as soon as possible. He arrived with his crew and was done within a couple hours.

Rot Doctor replaced a 25+ year old deck and repaired some structural dry rot on my front porch for me. I am very pleased with the results of both projects, and recommend them highly to help you with yours.
When I hired them, I got these things:
1. a contractor who wanted my business. I got a callback, site visit, and 2 detailed estimates within a day or so.
2. cost effective solutions. They suggested Trex composite for the decking material and aluminum railings, and I took both suggestions. Looks great. They also had a good solution to the dry rot problem that I had. The word "Rot" is a part of their company name and I figured they knew what they were doing, and they did!
3. good communication. Example: their supplier informed them of a minor delay in the availability of the decking materials. That was beyond Rot Doctor's control. But in a couple minutes we had worked out a revised install schedule, and they stuck to the schedule.
4. workmanship. Most important of all, they did a fine job on the work itself. Their work was efficient, they fully cleaned-up their mess at job's end, and they followed-up at the end of everything.
In conclusion, they get my unqualified endorsement.

Very happy with the repair and replacement of a rotten 28 foot main beam, rim beam, and posts on my 40+ year old deck. The Rot Doctor team were very quick to respond, provide a quote, and complete the work. The new beams are pressure treated and should last a long time. Rot Doctor resurfaced our decks in March because our decks were becoming unsafe due to rot. Instead of pushing the composite route like other companies, Rot Doctor talked to us about what we wanted and worked with us to achieve an outstanding outcome. We decided, based on our house (year, color etc), to go with the cedar resurfacing and it looks stunning. We couldn't be happier!! Rot Doctor also ensured our cedar tree had plenty of room to keep it happy. They worked efficiently, were very communicative about the process and what to expect, were very honest, and the quality of work was excellent.
