This is the first time I've had to ask for an inspection of my roof and discuss vents and such. Colton Flowers came out the next day to do the inspection and found so many hail marks and seriously beat up gutters. He walked me through dealing with insurance and was very thorough. He's stayed in touch through the whole process. I highly recommend giving Colton a call for your roofing needs. On site, Blake and the crew did a fantastic job while respecting the whole house, my dogs needs, and a car that couldn't be moved and was in the way. They were awesome! Call Colton!

Very happy with the quality of work, the timeliness, and cost. Stephen was able to do the roof, replacement gutters and repair and paint the house under this insurance claim. He must never sleep because he was always stopping by with samples and running off to the next client. We went over all the details of the work. If something wasn’t done to his standards, he made sure it was redone. He listened to what I wanted and checked with me throughout the process. Strongly recommend.

June 2024 Excel Constructtion Group replaced our roof. Our salesperson was Stephen Zertuche. When we first talked about our roof replacement, he said the estimate was free, and they would inspect the roof, windows, our fence, anything that could have been damaged by the hail storm.

We had already started a claim through our insurance company, and they had sent us paperwork stating how much they would cover. Stephen let us know that if the amount Excel was quoting was more, they would contact the insurance company for us. They had a department to do that, and they would get the extra funds from the insurance company.

We had them replace our roof and restain our fence.

When it came to the windows, Excel was not able to get the same color windows as what we had. Our insurance was also not covering the replacement of all the windows. I asked Stephen to give us a quote to replace all the windows, but he said our insurance was not covering all the windows. He said I had to give him the approval to do the windows right then, with his window guy present. I declined because I didn’t want mismatched windows. I asked again for a quote to do all the windows, but never received one. We decided not to go with Excel because we did not want mismatched windows.

From that point, we were sent an invoice for the remaining price of our roof, which we paid in full. We paid them in full according to our contract. But they also added and a $600+ fee for submitting a supplemental claim to our insurance to cover the windows. We refused to pay the fee since we did not have them replace our windows, due to them not being able to provide us with matching windows. Also, they never disclosed that there was a fee at all, verbally or in writing. They stated they had a department for that, they would handle everything with the insurance company.

Due to our refusal to pay the fee for the windows that they did not replace, they refused to provide us with our roof warranty. A roof which we paid for in full. July 31, 2024, after several attempts to contact Stephen, I contacted the corporate office. I spoke with Izzy and explained the situation to her. She said she would have the owner call me. I received no call. 2 more times over the next couple of months I called and spoke with her, both times she promised one of the owners would call.

Saturday, March 8, 2025, I emailed them again and requested the warranty for my roof. I have received no response from them.

Excel Construction helped us with a roofing replacement project and did a great job. Manager Stephen Zertuche did a great job overseeing the project and was outstanding with communication. I would highly recommend Stephen and Excel Construcion.

They did a fantastic job and exceeded my expectations in every way. I personally worked with Stephen and he really helped with the insurance company and had things covered that I know would not have been if he was not involved. They replaced the roofs on two of my houses,screens,gutters a door,and power washed my fence and stained it.

He provided a list of several Excel roof jobs in our neighborhood that we checked out to confirm what he said he could do for us. Stephen made sure our insurance inspectors overlooked nothing and once we had approval, he was more than patient as we met to examine Excel’s large selection of roof and gutter material and colors and made our choices. He and his crew delivered materials and started our work almost immediately, did a fantastic job and once all done, thoroughly cleaned up our yard and were gone in a very short time. Not much more to add — Stephen and Excel performed beyond our expectations and made it very easy for us so yes, we will call them again.

Luis and Excel Construction replaced the roof on our home. He is honest and they do excellent work. Our insurance was a bit of a challenge but he and the rest of his team fought for our best interest. We love the new roof and plan to have him and Excel do our rental when the time comes.

Recently purchased a house in Lantana and the inspection report said a few items on the roof needed repairing. Contacted Excel and Lindsey came out and quoted me a price of $700.00. Three workers came out 3/10 and spent an hour doing repairs. The foreman showed me a few photos of the repairs but I still wasn't sure if all the items that needed repairing had been done(his English was limited). I then called Lindsey and questioned the $700.00 bill for one hour's work and asked if she would come out to personally inspect the roof and take additional photos. She readily agreed and came yesterday. She showed me her photos and agreed to lower the bill to $300.00. I was very pleased with Lindsey and the excellent customer service she provided.

I would definitely recommend this company. As with any large project, there were a few hiccups along the way. For reference, my house is 2 stories with extremely sharp inclines and 3400 sqft. The true testament of a great company is the ability to quickly and efficiently handle those hiccups and recover, and Excel Construction Group did. The company was very responsive and had me on the schedule and completed with insurance and a full roof replacement within a week. They were very thorough and transparent, and made sure that I was good with every detail of the replacement before leaving my property as well. If you need any repairs to your home they should definitely be your first call.

I was blessed to meet Mike Martinez four months after a wind and hail storm. I just thought the fence had pushed over a little bit. After a thorough inspection of my property it was determined I needed my roof and gutters replaced along with the fence repair. The process was explained clearly and professionally. I was worried about this whole process but I worked with a young man named Zack Towne, and he just took care of everything for me. It was a breeze, the crew was fast and polite and they were on their way. They recommended an oakridge black color shingles and it looks very nice.

Honestly! there were many roofers that came into my neighborhood due to the last storm but none of them convenced me at that time. Excel construction was referred to me though a family member. Samuel Reynolds was our guy, he reached out back pretty quick and gave us a good report of the overall damage in our home. Just by talking with him you know immediately that is someone you can trust and definitely represents the company well.
