Riverview Contracting is a family owned business, this is one of the important aspects of why I chose them. They are also fairly priced, reliable, and extremely careful while working in or outside the home. Their work is impeccable, detailed, and expertise of skills are of high excellent standard. The crew is respectful, responsible, trustworthy, and hard working.

My entire basement had to be repaired due to a flood. Two feet Sheetrock the walls, paint, new floors, bathroom and light fixtures. Riverview did an exceptional job. My basement is fresh and immaculate with a brand new beautiful look. They did a magnificent, wonderful job. I am forever grateful to the crew.

We used Riverview to renovate two properties. They were great to work with -- professional, efficient, timely and knowledgeable. Humberto kept me up to date during the whole process. They kept to both the price and timeline in their proposal!! Loved that this is a family business and the crewmen were all pleasant and professional. They did work inside and outside our homes -- we get lots of compliments on our refinished floors and painted rooms.

Humberto and his team have done 2 projects for us over the years. One a full remodel of our top floor in an old Victorian home and another when we had some water damage in our kitchen that traveled downstairs. Both times, we were so pleased with the work. They are honest, clean, dependable, and always on time and finish on schedule. The quality of work is excellent and the quotes they provide are very competitive. Humberto even came on a Sunday to help us with a door emergency-on his own time! I would highly recommend Riverview for any type of home renovations needed, it was truly a pleasure working with them!

Humberto and his team did our deck back in 2023. They did an awesome job. Very detailed to everything. My deck looks great. I'm attaching before and after pics! Humberto suggested what type of material we should use and the colors as well :-)

I don't want to give them 5 stars simply because I don't want them to be busy the next time I need them. Would it really be selfish on my part not to emphatically state that they are by far, the best, most honest and trustworthy contractors I've ever dealt with? Would it be terrible to tell you to go find someone else? Or should I recommend my go-to contractor and risk it? Tough call.

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of Riverview Construction. I started with some interior drywall and their work was excellent. They did 3 ceiling and no one who looks at the work can see a seam .
I then used them to do a roof. The roof was a very difficult project. House was built in 1896 and had many issues. There was some overruns but it was expected and I was treated fairly.

He and his team are always professional, reliable, and efficient. One thing that stands out is how well he keeps you updated throughout the project, ensuring everything runs smoothly. This review is shamefully overdue!! My daughter wanted to sell her house and, as she was already overwhelmed with work, asked me to come to her rescue in finding a contractor and helping with the arrangements. Humberto came to our rescue after I had worked my way through a list of 7 other possible contractors who (supposedly) were licensed to do work in Yonkers. In the case of those contractors, most of them weren’t actually licensed in Yonkers, but it didn’t matter because after I had walked them through the house and project, and gotten assurances from them that they were interested in the work and would get back to me with a bid, I either never heard from them again (despite reminder emails) or received repeated assurances the a bid would be forthcoming next week, then next week, and then in one more week, etc. Fortunately, I discovered Humberto (AKA Riverview Contractors) and all of the wonderful reviews about his work on this site and others. I’m so relieved that I did. He came out, was straight-forward, provided me with a bid within about a week (and let me know approximately how long it would take him to do so), and quoted me a price that I couldn’t refuse.

The work that I needed consisted of many “fixes” and improvements on a large house (~4000 sq ft) that was to go on the market. These ranged from replacing windowpanes and broken pulleys on old, wood-framed windows to re-doing cement steps, installing new bannisters, supporting a sagging porch, modernizing a bathroom (including redoing some plumbing, installing ceiling vents, new flooring, new vanity, etc.), and walling off attic space including installing a drop-down ladder access. These were just a few of the modifications that Humberto and his crew made, and despite working on other jobs at the same time, he always fit this work in. He was also an excellent communicator and very generous with help as well.

To cite a specific, concrete example: As part of the “refurbishing”, we ordered a new, stainless steel, refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer) which was to be delivered late one afternoon. Naturally, I looked at the measurements and measured the doors before ordering. Unfortunately, I measured the width of the door frame, forgetting to include the additional width of the door stop. When the delivery men tried to move the refrigerator into the kitchen, it wouldn’t fit through the door (even after removing the door and hinges). These workers weren’t interested in engaging in carpentry and gave me a choice: either accept the refrigerator where it stood, or they would return it. In a panic, I phoned Humberto, who I knew was working late, 7 days per week, on a big project, and asked for advice. Humberto answered and said to have them leave the refrigerator where it was and that he would get it into place. Naturally, I assumed that he would come the next day or over the weekend to size up the situation. In fact, he showed up at 8:00 pm that evening, with two of his workers, and they proceeded to carefully remove the door stops on either side of the frame (without splintering either of them!), wrangled the refrigerator through the door and into place, and then reassembled the door frame and door. Not only did they come after a long day of work, but they refused to accept any compensation for the work.

If you want to engage a hard-working, creative, exceedingly honest, accomplished, and economical contractor, I encourage you to have Humberto out to assess your project.

Contractor was suppsed to come see my home. We scheduled a date and he did not show up nor did he give any warning. He shows up 2 days later. After seeing the home he takes my info and states he is going to email me an estimate. It’s been over 5 days since I was suppsed to receive my estimate. Each day I text him he reads the message and doesn’t answer. If you don’t want the work why show up in the first place and waste both our times. Would give 0 stars if I could.

This company is FANTASTIC!! I just had my entire house done with vinyl siding and new gutters. My house looks AMAZING!! Humberto is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, available and will answer all of your questions and concerns. Here's the best part...the price was awesome. I had several quotes for vinyl siding and no one came close to the price I was given by Riverview General Contractors. They were $10,000 cheaper than the lowest of the other 5 estimate I received. These are my new go-to guys for home repairs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Riverview recently had our kitchen remodeled by Riverview and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They’re prompt, professional, honest and the quality of the work is great. I’ve heard lots of horror stories with contractors but Riverview is an exception and we will happily continue to use them.

Humberto was very knowledgeable about his work, very professional and always on time. He took the time out to help me understand what was the best options to suite my needs and kept me up to date with what was going on. I highly recommend him and his team. He did my deck over with trex and it came amazing, I will definitely contact him again for my next project.

Umberto and his team are thorough, efficient, affordable, flexible, and clean. They worked alongside an Dominic, an Architect, to helped me redesign my bathroom and installed a jacuzzi. The guys at Riverview did an excellent job remodelling our bathroom from top to bottom. They were professional and courteous and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. We will definitely use them again on any other projects we have.

We had a wonderful experience with Riverview. They fixed our outside steps, completely renovated our upstairs bathroom and finished/painted three rooms and a staircase inside the house.
