Mike and his team took out an old floor and reinstalled a new hardwood floor for us. The process was seamless and the work was flawless. High marks from me on this one.

Highly recommend!!! Needed a couple of custom floating shelves for my pantry. Met Mike on a Wednesday and the work was done by the following Friday, very pleased with the entire process. Very reasonable pricing too!

Mike & his team are awesome! I had a load-bearing wall knocked down to open up our living room and a look-through added next to the kitchen. Those features done are huge changes to a house and its always scary to trust a contractor to do those things, but these guys have my wholehearted trust now. The crew always were polite, very clean & always did the extra little details while doing the work that many others would have missed. Definitely 5 stars!

We had our kitchen and hall way tile done. Also had kitchen back splash done and center island repainted. Mike was always checking in to make sure we were happy with the progress. Tile looks absolutely perfect. My wife and I couldn’t be happier. They definitely take pride in their work and customer service. I am meticulous myself and I love the attention to detail. Had a really great experience with Ricci's Home Improvement. We had a flood in our house and Michael was the first person to respond. I talked to him the day the flood happened and the next day he came out with a crew to start repairs. He ripped up all of the soaked flooring and dry wall right out to make sure no more damage would be done to all of our belongings. He also had our belongings moved into a storage unit and when completed he moved everything back in. He also was vey helpful when it came to dealing with the insurance claim. He sent out photo's on our behalf, spoke to the rep (who was not giving us the best deal, but Michael was able to get it for us), and got us a decent quote. Every question we had was answered very efficiently and in a timely manner. He did everything he could to make it the most painless and efficient experience it could be. The crew worked to the best of their capabilities, especially with this pandemic going on. His showroom was also very nice and there where a lot of options to choose from. At the end of the repairs Michael made sure to do final walk throughs to make sure that we were happy with the outcome. Will definitely be using Ricci's Home Improvement again with any future repairs or projects.

Need a contractor who will check all your boxes? Well, I cannot recommend Ricci’s Home Improvement enough! They are a team that truly take care of their customers and their customers’ homes. We are finishing up the final touches of new deck construction, two bathroom renovations and a garage ceiling fix up after a plumbing debacle. Ricci’s took care of everything. They were professional and warm every step of the way. They dealt with insurance claims adjusters with ease and were able to ensure that we got the money we needed to fix the damage with client satisfaction as the end goal. The communication was outstanding. Mike Ricci made time for me through email, text and phone calls. No question was too silly. He listens and gets things done. The work was completed with safety in the forefront, masks, social distancing and any request we had, they made us feel comfortable. And most of all.... the work! The work is phenomenal! We love every detail and every inch.

Very professional. Mike came to my condo in Plantsville, CT for some minor repair work. Initially came out to evaluate damage and returned next day with tools and materials for repair. I highly recommend this company.

I bought a fixer-upper home in April 2020 and knew I needed a home improvement ace. I got a recommendation from a neighbor to contact Mike Ricci. Mr. Ricci met with me within 24 hours to view my property. He listened to my plans, made his professional recommedatations, shared a very reasonable quote and scheduled the work to be done.

What started out to be a relatively straight forward project soon became problematic as we dug beneath the surface and I was quickly overwhelmed! Mike helped me through every step of the process in a very calm, professional and positive manner.

Mike and his team remodeled my lower level to make additional living space, full bathroom and utility room. He also refinished the hardwood floors expertly and professionally throughtout the house, carpeted the stairs and lower level space, installed sliders, new windows, two storm doors as well as attic stairs.

Mike was very personable, trustworthy, and knowlegable in his trade. He returned every phone call or text and was very pleasant to work with.

I would highly recommend Ricci’s Home Improvement for all your needs. I recently had a tree come down on my deck and cause damage to the railings and decking. I filed a claim with my insurance and called around for quotes. Mike Ricci came out to the house and went over every detail as far as damage and repair. They had an excellent price for repair, that the insurance company was happy to go with. These guys came out and knocked this job out in record time. They worked 7+ hours in the super hot sunny days and the same for stormy and rainy days. They repaired and replaced my entire railing system on a tri level deck that cuts into the coping around my above ground pool. The workmanship was excellent very professional and cleaned up nicely everyday. When they finished you wouldn’t have known they were here. Mike was available 24/7 and stopped by often to make sure the job was done right and that I was happy. What a huge difference it made in how my house and backyard look with the new railings and gates.
I already have recommended them to friends and neighbors.

Mike's service never stops and he's worth his weight in gold in dealing with an insurance company. We had our wood floors refinished and the kitchen floor tiled and the beauty of our floors has exceeded all our expectations. He was on time, neat, and kept us informed daily on the progress. Our two cats were “working hard” ruining our carpets. One day my husband and I walked into a nice, neat home improvement store across the street from our local post office just to shop around and to ask for advice.
Ricci’s Home Improvement store turned out to be exactly what we needed.
Mike (the owner) showed us samples of carpets and hardwood, made a few professional suggestions and gave us approximate prices for different options of carpeting and hardwood floors. Mike did not use any of big chain stores’ gimmicks or high pressure sales’ tricks like “buy one, get one free” or “today only”.
We felt no pressure to make any decisions, came home, discussed our options, decided to install hardwood, and called Mike asking to come and look at our house. Mike came as agreed, took a few measurements and soon gave us the price.
The Supplier had only certain days for wood delivery, but when the heavy rain was forecasted on possible delivery days, Mike used his own truck and brought wood at different days to keep it dry and to meet recommended guidelines of storing it at room temperature for a few days prior to installation.
Such personal touch you would never find at big stores.
The installers came on time, worked very hard and finished four bedrooms and hallway in less than two days.
Our floors look so beautiful now!

I recently had a large upgrade done to my condo here in
Southington by Ricci's Home Improvement Company. Updated
kitchen counters, sink, plumbing hardware, flooring, etc. along
with 3 bathrooms, replacing all counters, toilets, hardware, floors,
etc. The quality of the upgrade products was way better than
average. The subcontractors for plumbing and electrical work
was really great. Mike Ricci, the owner, is wonderful to deal with,
always calm and friendly with a smile. I can often change my
mind and Mike was very accommodating throughout the
project.all in all I am very happy with the final results. Thank you

Highly recommended! I got a few quotes to install hardwood floors throughout the whole house I just purchased. Mike came out and gave me a quote within a day and was the most reasonable. I explained to Mike that I needed the job done quickly because we needed to move quick. Mike and his crew got the job done in two days, way quicker than I expected. These guys were efficient and the floors look great.

Mike and his team replaced some outdated laminate flooring and tile in our home. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, and meticulous, and did a fantastic job! Wish we had done this sooner!

I recently Contracted Riccis Flooring with redoing all my floors...after the completion my wife and I were so impressed and went ahead with remodeling my kitchen. I must say that it was a pleasant experience. They designed everything with detail and I have a beautiful kitchen from sink, cabinets, granite etc.! It was a wonderful journey and I can gratefully say that if you have a kitchen to be remodeled or any other construction related work...they are your guys! Again Thank you Mike for completing everything on time and on budget.

I hired Ricci's Home Improvement Company for a full remodel of a bathroom and wanted to close off part of a kitchen. Basically demo the entire thing rebuild an entry room with a bathroom in a different location. I am beyond impressed with how it came out. The workers were fast, clean, polite, and very skilled. Mike was upfront about all the ins and outs of the work. The work is impeccable. I will always hire Ricci's Home Improvement for all my needs.

I hired Riccis Home Improvement to remodel my bathroom and it came out great. They used quality materials and didn’t cut any corners. The bathroom came out great. Christina created our master bath that should be in a designer magazine. Totally professional, shared great ideas and pleasant to work with. The crew headed by Mike always left the construction area clean before they left for the day. Again, Mike was professional and had reputable contractors doing the work. Not Reccomended!!!!! Please do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else! My 1 star rating is too much! My experience has been a nightmare. After a few years, I realized my floor(installed by Ricci's) was improperly installed when tiles began loosening and grout cracking. I called Mike to look at the situation. After avoiding me for over a year, he finally (after more calls) sent a tile person to my house. The tile person realized a sub floor was not put down, however Mike insisted it was. A second tile guy sent to repair 1 of the many loose tiles confirmed that in fact there was NO sub floor, yet Mike continued to deny until I had proof in photos. The tile guy, however, was kind and said he will install this 1 new tile correctly (implying that the rest of the floor was not done correctly). Mike's story then changed that sometimes floors are installed differently. While confronting Mike at his office, his office assistant Kate was equally condescending and belittling. She so arrogantly suggested "put a rug over the bad areas" . Really?! I will now be looking into a new floor ELSEWHERE!!!!

I agree with the people who say stay away from Ricci's in Plantsville. I had a number of small jobs which Mike ( the owner) said he could do right away and it would take three days. This was June 16th when I gave him a deposit and we are now in mid August and my job is not done. He did show up at the end of June for three hours and demanded payment in full, and since then I've been calling daily to try to get him to show up! He charged me to install stair railings but does not have anyone who is experienced in installing them and I'm afraid of being out more money. The only reason I'm giving him a two instead of a one Is that the two people he has working for him are good. Buyer beware and certainly don't pay him in full before the job is done even if he demands it!!

My wife and I recently contracted with Ricci’s Home Improvement out of Plantsville to remodel our bathroom. We liked the approach Kristina and Michael took with us to advise, create a plan and lead us step by step thru the process. Once we agreed on a plan and a price, of which they were willing to negotiate and discuss, the job was set in motion.

Not only was the job completed on time, but the attention to detail by the both of them and their constant supervision of each step along the way was so very comforting. Our full bathroom is a work of art! We are very satisfied with the workmanship and quality of the materials we selected. Mike and Kristina could not have been more professional as they exceeded all of our expectations. Kristina is a top notch design consultant, who understands what it means to provide customers with new and innovative ideas. Michael makes it happen.
