Above the Rest Roofing and Siding

DO NOT USE!!! We recently bought a house and after doing our homework and seeing all the positive reviews for this company we went with above the rest. At first micheal our contact was receptive and helpful. And it seems as soon as he cashed our check he ghosted us leaving us with and unfurnished project. And when we did here from him it was less than professional. Paid for roof and gutters and to date only the roof has been completed with leaking in the interior that he refuses to address and no gutters.

Michael goes above on beyond to truly make sure you understand the process & steps of getting a new roof. We were victim of storm damage & Michael did a great job of keeping us & our home owner’s insurance updated. We will definitely use Above the rest in the future & recommend them to friends & family.

Michael was more than helpful and very patient. As most people, you can get anxious when it comes to big projects involving your home, but Michael was able to ease the anxiety in explaining the process especially involving ins. company, these guys work professionally and fast. The new roof looks good and makes the house POP, if you will, even Dish company was impressed with the reinstallation of the satellite dish, stronger signal and very sturdy. I have already recommended this company to several people and will continue to do so.

Above The Rest gave me the best quote and the best timeline. They were on the job within a week of signing a contract and fast on the job site (roof stripped and installed in one day, new gutters up on a second day for 3000sf 2-story colonial). They took care of some trim boards near the roof I needed replaced as well. Michael Wilmot was my contact for the business end and he was very responsive and professional. The quality of work was good and I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend to others.

Michael returned my initial call quickly and stayed in contact throughout the process. On the day of installation, the team worked efficiently and the end result looked great. My wife and I had already received estimates from two other companies before calling Above the Rest. Besides an enormous price tag on one of the two, I was also unimpressed by the professionalism of the other salesman, the fact that neither of them even put a ladder up for a closer look of our roof, and how there was no discussion of how we should address our insurance company.

There was a distinct difference when Mike showed up. He was friendly, personally went on the roof, took over 60 photos of damaged areas and issues, and offered to meet with and coordinate a settlement with the insurance adjuster and company. Above the Rest would be using the same brand and quality material as the higher priced company, at a lower cost than each of the other two. And if that wasn't enough, when we thought his workers were coming to begin a multiple day, unsightly project, they completed the entire job before the sun was set. We were awed at the coordination, safety, and care that was put into providing a beautiful finished product. Quality and fast workmanship! The BEST one can find! All was complete in less than 2 weeks from the initial roof inspection to cleaning up from the roof installation, which only took one day. I got my roof replaced because of storm damage. Mike was very knowledgeable, got right up on the roof and marked the areas of damage prior to the insurance adjuster coming out. She was very appreciative that Mike had already inspected the roof and that he was there to explain everything when she came out.
After the stellar job done on the roof I decided to reside my entire house. Mike explained every detail that would be included and that was great since I am a detailed person. I have a two-story colonial and the removal of the old siding and new siding installed took only 3 days. They did come out a forth day to finish up details and clean up, which was great. No mess. And I liked that the dumpster was gone the next day. The crew just worked and worked, on overdrive. The siding looks great with the bright white trim I wanted and the new black shutters.
Everything is exactly as I had it pictured in my mind. I would recommend Above The Rest Roofing and Siding without reservation.

I received an immediate call back from Mike as well came to my home the very same day to inspect the damage done to my home.
Within 2 weeks the roof was being replaced.

I’m not one to leave reviews and often time those that do, leave lengthy reviews due to negative experiences. I’m here to hopefully help those who are out there looking for a reliable roofing contractor. First I’d like to say Michael was about as helpful as anyone could hope for during the consultation and inspection. He was knowledgeable, respectful and thorough in guiding me through the process along with answering my every call regardless of the time of day (weekends included).
So the question is, how did the install go? Well, Above the Rest came through again and the install went as well as the consultation. The crew was professional, courteous and respectful of all my plantings, flowers and property in general. The efficiency and expertise of the crew was evident right from the start. Michael was gracious enough to be present for the install to ensure everything went smooth and provide support to the crew if needed. The finish product is amazing and completely satisfied. Nothing beats laying in bed listening to the rain patter on the roof as you drift into dream land. Nothing's worse than hearing one of your family yell "There's water coming into the family room!" You grab a bucket and assess the situation.

For me, luckily, one bucket was enough. I just moved in a couple years earlier and I didn't know any roofers. So, I Googled "Roofing" and, because I like to shop locally, I sorted by distance. I called the first one on the list, Above The Rest Roofing and Siding. They came out first thing the next morning, assessed the storm damage and gave me a detailed explanation of everything that needed to be done to remedy the situation.
