Beware of work that looks good on the surface but fails where it matters.

I hired Restore Construction expecting quality and professionalism, but instead ended up with incomplete work, broken promises, and costly repairs down the line. They are fast talkers full of empty promises.

The biggest issue? They did not install any insulation behind the drywall and cut corners in multiple areas of the project. What looked “finished” to the untrained eye was actually rushed, sloppy, and far from up to standard.

Even worse, they promised multiple times to return under their warranty to fix the issues, but each time either canceled, pushed back the date, or never showed up at all. It’s been a string of excuses and delays with no accountability.

This company gives the illusion of good work, but once the problems surface, you’ll be stuck paying out of pocket to fix it properly. I would not recommend Restore Construction to anyone looking for honest, long-lasting workmanship.

Great experience working with Restore! They responded to my call in a quick fashion, and had someone out to assess the damage on my home within 24 hours. The repairs to my roof, windows, soffit ,fascia and gutters were completed in less than a week from when they were initially damaged. I would highly recommend using this company- very professional and efficient.

T, Tony and team were great. The workmanship was excellent and they treated us like family. They got the job done just in time for us.

Sylvia was very helpful throughout the whole process and worked with our insurance and got everything back to normal very quickly. This restoration company was very careful with all of our belongings while working inside our home. Definitely would recommend!

Our house caught fire 5 months ago and we were lucky that Billy and Carlos responded to our fire and stayed till 9:30pm to board up 28 windows that Fire Dept. took out.Billy then followed up to come to visit Restore in Melrose Park to see the complete process where they pack and move everything that can be Saved.Candy came in and Inventoried everything in the fire that was not saved plus what was saved and provided line by line Cost of each item and depreciation value to get paid by State Farm.They helped get us into a Hotel for 2 months and then found a home to rent in which State Farm is paying.House has been totally gutted out in 3months time.Anytime we had any questions I call Augie ,Candy & Silvia and they would provide us with a reply.Chris was the architect that went over option on the New Remodel and any request we had he responded what he could do for us.Do Not listen to your Insurance Company that you can do this by yourself.I could of gone with any other Company but Billy followed up the next day to check up on us get us in to explain the whole process during a house fire which was much bigger then we ever imagined.

I cannot express my gratitude to EVERYONE at Restore Disaster Restoration in Melrose Park. We had an emergency at our house on a Saturday and I must admit I was in shock and devastated. Mike Santoro was initial contact and next thing I know we have their company out at our house. Ted Palese came out , assessed the situation professionally and explained every step and put my nerves at ease which was greatly appreciated. What was a very difficult situation was put into perspective . I spoke to Mike Orlando who also was excellent and assured me and my wife Shari that we were in good hands. I knew at that point we would be ok. Pat Santoro and his ENTIRE crew is top notch . If you find yourself in a difficult situation , these are the people you want and need to get you through the upcoming days or months. When I say they know their craft , that is an understatement ! On January 12 I had a devastating life-changing event. I can only say it was God that brought restore in my time of need . I had a house fire in Feb 2024. It was a very stressful situation. I hired Restore to do the restoration of the house. Their team did a phenomenal job from Patrick and Auggie assuring me they would take care of everything. They dealt with the insurance and everything was completed flawlessly. T did a excellent job of communicating what the next steps for the rebuild were. I could not be happier with the outcome. I would Highly recommend them if your ever in the need. Its been almost a year since the fire in our building.
Yes, it has been tough to be patient for the reconstruction to be completed, but its done!
6 families were displaced and it was a long process.

The construction crew had there share of our concerns, and put up with all of our personalities! I can easily say we gave them a run full of frustrations, and we our sincerely sorry they had to put up with our impatience.

Unfortunately, I was faced with a situation requiring professional property restoration following construction. Quality and timing were my priorities. Restore Restoration Experts not only responded in a timely manner, but they also exceeded my expectations. Post cleaning, you would never believe the disaster and debris that once permeated throughout my residence. It is public knowledge that RESTORE is family owned and operated. What is not public, is once you interact with Mike, Candi and Nancy, you too will feel like a member of the family!

Very disappointed. We were excited to get back into our home after a fire and the house looked amazing. Now, months later we are having plumbing issues and have a big moldy spot that's expanding on the ceiling of our basement and have reached out multiple times to have them come take a look at it. We can't get ahold of anyone in charge and are always told we will get a call back with no avail. It's been MONTHS. We have very small children and a pregnant mom living in MOLD. We have been more than patient but this is extremely concerning. This is only one issue among others that have not been addressed by anyone from this company. At this point we are being pushed to call the city and see if they can help because we don't know where else to turn.

Carlos was INCREDIBLE. He came very quickly to help with a situation at my parent’s house on a Sunday evening and was very helpful, kind, and friendly. Cannot recommend Restore or asking for Carlos enough.

We had a fire last year in our home. It was a horrible time for me and my family. First and foremost, we were all safe and no one was hurt. At some point however you still must deal with the property loss and property damage. And we had a complete loss for our home. So were going to be starting all over. The choice of who to go with to take you through a process from the beginning, and trying to salvage some personal items, to the end of the process with new construction and passing inspections. We selected Restore Construction based on some recommendations on site, the night of the fire. After meeting with their team, it was their professionalism, understanding, and at the same time small family feel that convinced us to take this journey with them. Sue G. is the Director of Operations and has been our office contact person for most of this process. She has been a great person to deal with. She keeps all the parties connected. Chris M. was our Project Coordinator. I meet with Chris initially and his professional demeaner is one of the main reasons we felt comfortable going with Restore. He was connected through this process, that if things got off track, I could contact him to get things moving again. Lukasz J. was our Project Manager. Lukasz kept me up to date and informed on our process. He met with us whenever we wanted to meet to discuss and review updates on our project. He also helped to manage our process to help us to get a few items rearranged and added for us , that was great and greatly appreciated. We had some misunderstandings on a few issues. But we were able to meet and talk them through. I appreciate being able to communicate and come to an understanding even when things are not perfect. Getting to the end result is what is important, and we got there. The biggest decision that Lukasz may have made was bringing in our final General Contractors. Walter and Kate. A husband-and-wife team. Our project had stalled for a bit and Walter and Kate came in and got things moving again. Walter gave us some good suggestions and more important was very straight forward on what he thought were things that could be done or not. And I always appreciate those types of conversations. The person that we dealt with the most during this process was Kate. She was our contact for our finishes, but more than that our contact for any issues that needed to be addressed down the stretch of this process. She was always available. She responded in a very timely manner to questions and concerns. And would help direct us to the correct person if she couldn’t help herself. She also gave us wonderful suggestions to make our home a warmer place and have a warmer feel. She was very professional and lead a very good team of professional contractors. I have no doubt that bringing Kate in made our process that much better and more reliable. We also had some disagreements throughout this process. But we were able to talk them through and come to reasonable conclusions. Once again is something that I appreciate very much. No on agrees all the time. But can we respectfully work through differences to get a job done. And we were able to do that. I would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for contracting work. Thanks to Restore Constructions and it’s many parts for making a very difficult time for my family, just a tad bit easier to deal with based on their commitment and work ethic. Great company to work with, lost house to a fire, and they were there to help. Silvia Aguilar did a great job guiding me and my parents through the restoration process. She really goes the extra mile to get the answer or the help we needed. My parents and I feel comfortable dealing with someone who speaks our language. She's really friendly and does a great job.

Had a fire in January and Restore was there from day 1. Between Mike and Augie helping us through the initial processing, to Chris making sure all of my contents were accounted for, to the amazing T for all the beautiful work he's done repairing my home better than it was before, I can't thank the whole team enough for helping us get through this difficult ordeal.

My children’s home burned down on May 1 2023. I was completely devastated my son was trapped upstairs and I just prayed he came running down the stairs and I cried. Thank you God. Watching your home burn is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone I was blessed to meet a wonderful young man. His name is Patrick Santoro. He made me feel so much better. It was as if God sent me an Angel. Restore Construction was there to comfort my family I spoke with Michelle at Restore and she is absolutely amazing. My home was rebuilt from the ashes Lukas kept me informed about the work that was to be completed and Stan was on site everyday. The entire team at Restore is so very honest and kind. They are truly magicians. My bedrooms are absolute incredible. I had three bedrooms prior to the fire and Restore created four bedrooms and a huge bathroom. My Master bedroom has a walk in closet. I never had one. I was so excited. We were moving into a brand new home my husband and I were starting to move in He was so happy then God decided he needed him. My husband went to Heaven on Easter Sunday So in a years time my home burned down and my husband died. When I look around my beautiful new home that Restore Construction built, I am at peace. It is absolutely gorgeous. So if you are reading this and you ever incounter a disaster please call the team at Restore. They are wonderful

Our home flooded and we immediately called
Restore to assist us. Within an hour, a Restore representative was at our home investigating and calling in a team to assist in water removal and numerous other activities ensuring the home would be dry and safe to live in. Following several interventions, working with our insurance, a team headed by Tom Michelini went full force getting our home back to its original condition. Hours of work were dedicated to our renovations and the team worked diligently to make sure everything met our standards. The commitment from the entire team at Restore was exemplary and beyond our expectations. We will be forever grateful to Restore for giving us their undivided attention, quality workmanship, professionalism and excellent customer service.

They did a great job on my mom’s house restoration ,her house was on fire last year and burned and she lost most of it on that fire but this company did a great job restoring the house and the structure is now like NEW THANKS RESTORE CONSTRUCTION INC. Our family home of 50+ years had caught on fire. Restore helped my family with every step of the way. From insurance to finding housing for us that same day. This helped with the immediate worries. Clean-up, insurance claims, what to expect and estimated timelines. Especially with city permits!! I would have been lost without everyone. Highly Recommend Restore!!!! Our family business in Westmont, IL caught fire a little over a year ago and Restore has been beyond phenomenal every step of the way! From the very beginning Restore helped and guided us out of the fire’s devastation it caused our family, all throughout the rebuilding process. Luccas, Restore’s general contractor in charge of our rebuild has been awesome to work with, along with his crew and point man, Conrad. in September 2023 my house was struck by lightning and a large fire started in the attic. As I watched everything burn, I had no idea what the next step would be. A friend recommended Restore Construction to me. This is an all in one company. Restore Construction personnel got me into a hotel and started to solve all of the problems the insurance company was throwing my way. Restore found me temporary housing in a newer three bedroom townhome and rental furniture. The construction team kept me in the loop every step of the way until my home was restored to a new home condition. The owners of the company were very nice to me, visiting my job and taking me to lunch on several occasions. I really feel that I have made life long friends with owners Patrick and Michael Santoro. Sales Manager Augie LaCapra is a very caring man and understands the trauma one may have during the loss of your home from fire. I have served as Chief of Police in the City Evanston, Village of Glenwood and now Richton Park, Illinois. I truly now understand that fire destruction is a very traumatic event and you need the help that only a professional company like Restore Construction can provide. I am very thankful to RESTORE CONSTRUCTION!!!

A car drove through my business window in Melrose park at 19th and lake. Restore construction responded immediately and secured my property. They then helped my with the insurance inspection to make sure I had enough money to fix my building. I therefore was able to get back into business asap with out a loss. I highly recommend restore for there emergency services also there ability to deal with insurance companies !

Restore Construction was very fast and know what to do. They cleaned up our flooded basment of water mud and sand that came in the foundation through a sink hole. They removed damaged furniture, power washed, vacuumed, dehumidified. Only a minor complaint is they didn't power wash the underside of washer and dryer and shelving units. Nobody is perfect. I highly recommend them.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They told us the day of the fire that the 10% would come out from the insurance check. Yesterday we got an email from Suzanne stating that the 10% had to be out of our own pocket. This company does nothing but lie. We have tried to get in contact with people and no one will return our calls. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM! Take you business elsewhere.

We had a fire and this was the company that works with our public adjuster. Restore Construction has been easy to communicate with. Our project manager, Taras, was great, quick to respond, offer suggestions and worked quick to resolve issues when we reported them. Michelle, the File Manager has been checking in weekly, providing updates and mediating any questions that we might have had. The job they did was beautiful and they worked closely with insurance to work out all the kinks, making this whole ordeal much easier on us. Highly recommend!!!

Restore did a fabulous job of managing the restoration of our garage (and part of our home) after a garage fire. It did take some time to wrap up due to numerous other disasters taking place in the region that sometimes pulled resources, but they stayed on top of things and got us to end of job. "Tip of the hat" goes to Tarras, who was great to work with...professional, knowledgable, responsive and detailed! The restoration work was of extremely high quality.

They made a very difficult situation much easier to manage. From the first call (after the fire) until the final walk through, Restore was the best! Taras, Michelle, Z and the rest of the team were always willing to go beyond to help get us back into our house and most importantly, happy.

Last March I had a fire at my home and everything was pretty much gutted. Restore Construction stepped in and essentially rebuilt my home. They did everything they said they would do. The inside of the home is unrecognizable compared to how it looked before the fire. Everything is up to code (electrical/plumbing) . Working with Lukasz was a pleasure. He was very professional and told me in advance everything that was going to be done. New floors, drywall, painting, plumbing. He was true to his word. Every week Michelle, file manager, would call to check in on me to see if I needed anything. All I had to do was make a request and it was done. Also, Conrad was great in explaining why certain work was being done and he had great ideas. I am very pleased I chose Restore Construction to work on my house. In Feb. 2023 we experienced a house fire that destroyed the entire contents of our home. Restore Construction came that day and boarded the windows and explained how they can restore and rebuild our home interior. Julian Doce was our project manager and guided us through the design and rebuild with his thoughtful, caring, detailed, and creative expertise in home design and construction. He was on top of the game and available every time we needed him. We were amazed at the minuscule details he knew and remembered. There was no problem he left unresolved, and he unselfishly used his own time and hands to go above and beyond our expectations. As a result, every inspection by the city passed without a problem. After losing my home to a devastating house fire, I found myself without a clue on what to do next. Restore Construction helped me through a lot of the ambiguity and gave me a lot of advice upfront. However, the greatest compliments I can give would be for the construction team. The project manager/builder was extremely easy to work with and the results came out amazing. Julian and his team followed through with every single request and suggestion I had and even helped me with design advice as well. The best part of the entire transaction was the fact that I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, the team worked fast, did quality work, and was very autonomous. When I finally received my items back everything and I mean everything was clean and wrapped up to prevent any damages. Pat and Lucas, are phenomenal people. This company heard about some problems a family was having getting a ill child into their house. Pat and Lucas coordinated to make sure this family never had trouble getting their child into the house again, by building a wheel chair ramp. This companies generosity does not go unnoticed. I have been a property owner and a landlord on the northwest side of Chicago for many years. In December of 2021 one of my apartment buildings sustained a devastating fire. All of my tenants needed to find temporary living accommodations. I was referred to Pat Santoro whom I hired to be my Public adjuster. From that point on, Restore dealt with my insurance company on my behalf regarding the claim. After a two month negotiation, I received the settlement I desired. Restore maxed out my insurance claim, and with the funds from the settlement, Restore was able to repair the building up to my standards and then some. I highly recommend Restore in their ability to negotiate and maximize an insurance claim. Also, their construction work was first class. If I ever have another loss, I will definitely be contacting Restore.

A fire in your home is a devastating experience for anyone. Working with Restore Restoration was a blessing during a very challenging time. From day 1, they were there with us, safely storing mementos, clothes, and all other salvageable items. Their "large loss" claims team led by Nick (Public Adjuster) and Candi worked closely with my insurance company to ensure adequate compensation for loss. Having a PA is crucial in dealing with insurance companies, as they both speak the same language. A good PA will get the best settlement possible for their client. Nick continues to set the bar for winning the battles vs. the insurance company. The construction team led by Taras Sokil, and on-site project foreman, Stan, were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail was second to none. My interior designer, who has worked with hundreds of builders, commented that this team was outstanding, and their focus on perfection was something you do not often see. The entire project took a little over a year, and while this creates much personal stress, the team at Restore Restoration made me feel like I had an ally and supporter all along the way!

Restore company came at the scheduled time and after a walkthrough of the basement and making a plan on what to do, they begin clearing out all of the damaged things. A special thanks to Darla for keeping me in the loop of the process as the crew worked. Eddie patiently explained what was going to happen with the process and answered any questions I had about the removal of any mold. The crew worked together to finish and Darla even called in additional crew to assist and move the job along. The final walkthrough revealed a complete clean and sanitized basement. I was very anxious about what I was going to do after this terrible flood but Darla and her crew at Restore put my mind at ease.

I sustained a devastating water loss to my home in mid June. I received a recommendation to call restore construction. Restore responded immediately and began the mitigation process. They completely dried and sanitized my building within 3 days. After that process was over they then assisted me with my insurance claim with State Farm. Restore completed the building and personal property estimates. Not only did they do the estimates, they were able to get me the settlement I wanted. I was then able to replace and repair my building up to my standards. Being a first responder and seeing many people in the same situation as I was in, I have complete confidence in Restore and highly recommend them !

I could write a long review with a full description of the work but I’ll save is all the time and simply say that Restore is the best. Seriously, they took a fire damaged apartment and made it brand new. If you’re in need, call them.

.well they repaired the roof 2 years ago begged me to take down my post in which I did. Guess what it is leaking again same spot. In the spot that I said to fix and they didn't. Again with the mold in my house. Never ever again with this company..They came in and where to repair the roof what they should have done correctly in the first place. everything they touch in the house was a nightmare. they make promises they dont keep i will not and will never ever recommend them. the constant phone calls to take off the posings and that will not ever happen. the company is a joke
