Well when I arrived, I had to wait 22 minutes in line while the desk working alone had to process a line of people on his own. Finaly I got my room 202. When I entered the room. The sheets were off the bed and pilled onto the chair, I look onto the floor and I can see the control knob laying on the carpet I called and had my room changed. The room has no bath fan that work, but the biggest was the wireless wi/fi was unavailable. Overall I was left disappointed, not the same service I’m used to receiving. I’m not sure if this is a location problem or company wide problem. I guess I’ll find out in my Virginia stays on August 1, hopefully it will be a better stay.

We were in town to see a performance at Tree House Brewing. The location of this motel is excellent if you're coming to see a show there. It's two minutes down the road from the venue. But, still, you might think twice about booking. Check-in was fine and easy, and the person behind the desk was pleasant and kind. So that's another plus! Walking to our room, we walked past a kind of large rec room with a defunct ice-machine , defunct pool table, defunct air hockey table, strange mismatching old patio furniture, and weird old massage chairs. Not sure if any of these amenities were in working condition. They didn't appear to be. They appeared very old. Suffice to say, the rec room was unoccupied, and the overhead lights were switched off. The only glow from inside room came from a couple of vending machines. Twizzlers and Cokes appeared to be available, if that's a selling point for you. The whole motel had a very distinct odor of disinfectant and dog kennel. We weren't traveling with our dog, but the hotel is a "dog friendly" motel, if you're looking, and we assumed that might account for the odor. On our way to our room, we walked past a kind of public restroom area with the mens room door ajar and bizarre grunting sounds emanating from within. We didn't investigate. When we arrived into our room, it was clear that it hadn't been vacuumed, as the floor was pretty grungy with leaves and other bits tracked in from previous customers. In the bathroom one of the hand towels had a smear of crusty old toothpaste across it, so clearly hadn't been changed over. There were some long dark hairs on the toilet seat which also caused us alarm. Most of the sheets (most!) seemed clean when we checked them, but my bed was only sort of haphazardly made, and then I found what I think was a smear of mascara across one of the three flat pillows. The pillow smelled of perfume so clearly hadn't been changed. We were a bit freaked out to spend the night, of course, but tired from a long drive, and a late night at the show, we made the best of it, hoping against hope that we wouldn't bring anything home with us in the way of bugs or other unwanted pathogens. We set the alarm for an early wake-up before the full light of day so we could get out without further illuminating the place in which we had just slept for the night, once again hoping we might quickly forget about our room, those odors, that grunting, and the haunting memories of that abandoned air hockey table and dusty, derelict massage chairs looming in the glow of the vending machines. The horror... the horror...

Never again. Was in town for a concert and decided to give it a try. Place is a total dump. Grounds are a mess. Leaves and garbage everywhere. Took 45 min to check in because staff “didn’t know if the rooms were cleaned”. Bed was half-assed made. Mattress was ancient. Toilet paper roll was empty. Used bar of soap in the shower. Tables were sticky. It’s the kind of place where you worry about bed bugs. And to make matters worse, the room cost $260 for the night.

My name is Sheila and I stayed here Saturday July 12th. On entering the room my husband and I noticed the room was very damp and the bedding had some kind of condensation from the room temperature which made me grab a sleeping bag and pillow from my car because it was so late. The following morning as I was going to shower there were black hairs in the shower. I decided then to say something to the front desk. Michael who was working was WONDERFUL and apologized for my bad experience. They asked me to give a review of my experience to receive 20% off my next stay.

Came to see music at Treehouse Brewery and this location was perfect, being one mile away from the venue. The brewery offers a shuttle, which is located in the Yankee Candle parking lot next door which was perfect....so we could drink a lot..get a shuttle back and walk to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The air condition worked well..the refrigerator kept our drinks cold and the shower was nice and hot. Rebecca at the front desk was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming back to this area to see more music.

For $99, I thought that was a great deal. Our room was very clean and the beds are super comfortable. It's right next to the Yankee candle outlet, so very conveniently located. I found a very nice ring behind the night stand between the beds, We gave it to the front desk. I'm posting it here on the off chance the owner might read the reviews looking for it. Hope it finds its way to its owner!

The seasoned property is on a sprawling level lot that has been expertly landscaped for decades that's really come into itself and was impressed with the natural setting. The rooms are also pretty seasoned, but cleanish. The dirty floor in my room cost a star. I'm sure H. will correct that issue. I wish I had a photo to share, but I didn't think of it. This would be a good place to stay if you were visiting the Green River in Greenfield or Harriman Res. in Wilmington Vt. The laid-back atmosphere was apparent and appreciated.

I reviewed to let others know do not believe EVERYTHING you read online sometimes people get upset and decide to slander a business for their own personal gain in my opinion this hotel is 5 star for the quality of service and for the price I paid they seem to have a good connection with the customers from what I seen over a weekends time

My family had a terrible experience here. They gave away our confirmed handicap room, failed to provide a workable solution, and then refused to refund us for a night we couldn’t use because of their own mistake. The rooms were filthy, and an employee entered our room without knocking while we were sleeping.

We booked a 2-bed handicap room through Super.com for 3 people/2 nights and even called that morning to confirm it would be held since we’d be arriving late. The front desk assured us they’d make sure it was on the first floor. By the time we arrived, they gave our room away. Their solution was to put us in two adjoining handicap rooms for one night and then move us to a different room for the second night—without warning us that this would involve an hours-long gap between check-out and check-in. Because we had refrigerated medication and plans that day, this arrangement was unworkable, and we had no choice but to leave. Despite this being caused by their failure to hold the room we had confirmed in advance, they refused to refund the second night.

Both rooms we stayed in were disgusting: mold on the ceiling, chipping popcorn ceilings and paint, 5 (five!) live bugs in plain sight, a floor covered in crumbs, and sheets that looked reused, with hair and debris still on them. We’re still fighting for a refund and frankly should be reimbursed for both nights. Don’t stay here—it’s dirty, disorganized, and they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes.

Dreadful. Loud party of drunk men in the common area when I arrived to check in late at night. Mold and water stains on the ceiling. Weird dirt and satins on the nightstand. Stains & holes in the sheets. No wash cloths available. When I asked the front desk for some she rolled her eyes and said she would have to get some from downstairs. The coffee area in the morning was not stocked and very dirty. Never again.

Horrible experience! I travel often and have never stayed at a hotel as filthy as the Redroof Inn in Deerfield, MA. The first room I was given had hair in the bathtub. The second room I was moved to also had hair in the bathtub and toothpaste spittle in the sink. The 3rd room had a nonworking tv(staff repaired). I agreed with GM to a 20% discount before realizing that the 3rd room was equally as dirty. I used a washcloth to wipe the bathroom floor The white washcloth was covered in black filth. The window was so old/dirty that I could not see out. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available to move to. Additionally, there was trash outside the entry doors of the hotel. Unfortunately I needed to be in the area for an event and no other hotels had a vacancy. The GM refused to refund for my stay which I find completely unacceptable given the condition of all three rooms. |Worse travel experience ever!

This Inn is dirty all over. The carpeted halls|look like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. The room keys didn’t work several times over the course of our two-day stay. The bathroom was filthy. We complained and were told there was no housekeeping available. The problem was not addressed on the following day, even though we were away from the room from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. The bed pillows were rock-hard. At night the back door to the Inn was propped open with a mat (a serious safety issue) and trash and beer bottles were piled up next to the door. I’m surprised that this establishment hasn’t been shut down. It would certainly fail inspection. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this Red Roof Inn.

I stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with the way me and my boys were taken care of. I had hoped for a different room and now feel like a full refund would be best. The young individual running the counter when we checked in (after driving 3hrs) gave us our room keys and we headed to our room. We got settled in and decided to get some cold sodas to drink. Left to nearby gas station. Once we got back into our the smoke detector started chirping. I called front desk. His solution? Removed it from our room! Never returned with a new battery for smoke detector. Highly Dangerous I may add! Our other complaint was the tub. It looked like it had been cheaply repaired with bondo and spray paint… absolutely disgusting! Please do the right thing and refund my credit card.

Positive: The location is good Negative: Inside and out of hotel is very dirty-trash is everywhere. I never saw anyone cleaning the common areas. There were a lot pot smokers close to the entrances and it looked like a lot homeless people were there. Rooms smelled musty and ?old?.

My husband I stayed at the Red Roof Plus+ - South Deerfield - Amherst for 3 nights. I paid $890 for the 3 nights (2nd dog fee $45 for 3 nights included). There's a lot that really annoyed me with this particular Red Roof Inn but one manager made the difference because she cared. I'm going to start with the room. There's no fan built into the bathroom so it's impossible to vent out the smells. There's only 1 night stand shared by the 2 beds. We had to use the chair as a nightstand for 1 person because both of us needed the space. There's no outlet on that side of the bed so charging cables had to be draped over the head of the person next to the night stand. There's no refrigerator. I remember when all the hotel rooms included that. There's nothing served for breakfast. I was told to go to Dunkin' Doughnuts down the street a short distance. Here's a big problem: no maid service until the 3rd day. The dirty towels just sat in the room. I did ask for more clean towels and the manager brought them to our room. Several times over the course of the 3 days, we found our room keys disabled. It was really annoying to have to go to the front desk and get them enabled again. At least 3 other people had the same issue. When I went to the front desk, I had to wait on a lengthy line to get my cards enabled. The first 2 mornings, I saw that a door mat had been left in the door. I reported this to staff. They said they knew who it was because that person was a smoker who was staying often. I explained that I didn't feel safe with finding the door propped open. Staff notified security. On the 3rd morning there was no issue with the door and the mat. There was a problem with the trash cans outside the door to be overflowing. It was picked up by the 3rd day. There's an ash tray on top of the can and it was full. It looked disgusting as I passed by. Paying $890 give better accommodations.

Not a bad place to stay. It does have hardwood floors, and for my room the air conditioner only had two settings, 61 and 70, nothing in between. The bath tub was a little dirty. Other than that, everything is fine.

Jennifer at the front desk was extremely rude and rather then check us out she rather sit on her phone outside and ignore the front desk leaving it to the hotel management to help us. Other then that the room was very clean and the management was very nice. They have a laundry room and a pool table. Michael was very kind when he checked us in. My friend that traveled with us said that Becca (I think that's her name) was very nice.

It is very clear how hard the staff is working! Everyone was so kind, straightforward, and willing to help. I did have a few problems with my room keycard, but all I had to do was talk to someone at the front desk.
As for the room, it was definitely on the outdated end- but very clean. Everything just felt well thought out in the layout of the room, and they were doing the best they could with what they had.
I think they might be understaffed- so be patient and kind. When someone wasn’t at the front desk, they had a message with a number to call, and someone was there within 10 mins- which is impressive because the building is pretty large!
Great job to the staff!

Prime location with restaurants & convenience stores adjacent to hotel. Very large hotel almost always has vacancy. Quaint town and nearby surrounding areas provide a quiet and comfortable feel like home environment. Would recommend and stay here again

Terrible place. Arrived with "King Superior" room. Got in and the ned was terrible. It when you laid down you sank straight to the bedframe. Got switched to a new room. Same class. Same issues except now th AC doesnt work. On the 2nd night experienced someone's dog down the hall that co.tinhed to bark for over an hour. On top of that the TVs the habe in the rooms are probably 15 years old and so dim you can't watch it during the day. Wouldn't suggest staying here.

The locations great (15 min drive from UMass). Pretty pricey though. Went during an off-season time and it was still $100-120 per night for a basic room. The amenities are pretty limited (soap, conditioning shampoo, coffee station in the lobby- that’s about all). Strict about checkout time or you’ll be charged $25 extra. Annoyingly, the bathroom door has no lock in the rooms. Service was good though, cleaning lady & receptionists were very kind!

I've stayed at the Red Roof Plus in S. Deerfield, Ma. The rooms were OK, a little outdated but OK. The staff was very friendly and professional. The problem I've had on my frequent stays there are the horrible outdated room lock and key card systems. The key cards many times have not functioned and had to be rekeyed to work. When they did work the door handles were sometimes difficult to open. This system needs to be updated.

I would give it a 0 star if i could. Do not stay here. Read this post. It is dirty nasty place. We booked a room and the shower was dirty the microwave was dirty. When we asked for another room they claimed they were booked. This place is disgusting. We ask for toilet paper and the house lady gave us tissue. Smh Do not stay here i will be calling corporate office.

Although having an available room last minute truly saved us the hotel was not that satisfying it had no lotion no q-tips the nightstand with the chargers in it did not work when we asked for a box to even borrow or something to be able to charge our phones the lady was very short and unhelpful I would definitely not give this place no more than two and a half Stars. Also we found items that were left behind from the last people the rug was still pretty dirty overall not that happy.

Jen is the greatest front of counter person. She should get a raise and be president of the company. She is so good. My rooms were clean. My life here is happy. Deb is fantastic. They always try to accommodate me the best way they can. I can’t say enough about this place. I will never stay in any other motel ever again Other than this place. The rooms are well taken care of and the service is top notch OK!

Jaime ty for the courteous service you certainly go the extra mile. I stay often for business purposes. Excellent location for day tripping plenty of everything to do for all ages. property does have a pool table and these folks work hard to accommodate you. Thank you

Always accommodating friendly staff, good spots to grab food, laundry on site. Pet friendly,hiking trails,brewery, dispensary, Yankee candle all close by diner down the road too.
