If i could give 0 stars i would! I usually love this hotel but recently the last two times I tried to book there the first time I couldn't stay there at all because they said that I booked past the time or something and they wouldn't let me check in change it and they didn't give me my money back and then today I booked it and the dates jumped on the website and it booked on the wrong day and they wont change it or give my my money back im so beyond pissed with this hotel. Two bookings and never been able to stay yet. I choose them cause theyre cheap i might as well spend the rest and stay at the windgate by wyndham in new stanton right next to bob Evans theyre the BEST HOTEL IN THE AREA. Theyre a little more but SO WORTH IT.

P.S priceline and expedia never again will i use ever!

Scammers. Do not stay here so unprofessional and rude and irrational. Listen to the negative reviews. I believe them all I didn’t even stay one full night that I booked and got charged $100.00 I made an online booking and they take advantage of that and could not provide me any sort of receipt. Well how do they keep up with their accounting if they don’t have receipts SCAMMERS

Unprofessional horrible irrational management and staff, do not recommend staying here they take advantage of online bookings and charge extra and hang up on those trying to have a rational conversation to obtain a receipt I got robbed of $100.00 they refused to provide a receipt for what they charged to the card.

I tried to book a room over the weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The staff member working the night shift (the 13th) was unhelpful and dismissive. We had previously called and were told that three people could stay in one room, but when we arrived, she insisted only two were allowed. I’ve never encountered this kind of restriction at any other hotel. Without offering any solution, she told us we couldn’t stay there, and we were left scrambling to find another hotel at 3 a.m.

Nice room for the price. We felt welcome and safe being there. We had a small issue in the room. But the staff was right on it had it taken care of immediately. The staff was so nice and friendly. We had easy access to our room.lots of parking available. Overall a nice stay

Well lets just say this i have stayed many places but this right here will not happen again. Front Desk Gentleman: couldnt really understand him. Couldn't really explain the answer to a question we had.
Room: Dirty, I checked the room over like I do anywhere. We were put by storage which was awful. The floor was dirty and can tell it was dirty. When you walked in the room it smelled like filth mixed with cheap cleaning products. The bed sheet was pissed stained and had wet spot on it. Went up to desk to let him know about room and the boy that was working didnt really care I told him he can come see the room and sheets and it was refused. I asked for new sheets which we got but wrong size and they were beat up sheets and about to have a hole like you can tell they needed thrown away not kept. So went back out and asked again for new sheets by then he seemed annoyed about it. When we open our window and curtain beside we had a view of a garden out back you look out its like why so.eone peeping into the room from the other room that's only for employees only which I have proof of everything. Then the storage room next door wasnt the best because we had to keep hearing loud noises from it. This will never be a choice again and sorry it wasn't worth a di.e to stay in that place. Pictures online are not what you see once you get there. The ace needs cleaned up I side and out. The whites should be getting washed as well with some good soap and bleach. The rooms shouldnt smell like lets not clean just throw some cheap smell to it. I will not and do not recommend this place for anyone to stay at.

I'm gonna have to agree with Mr. Darsh on that one. I seen them doing some weird shit up at the front desk. I don't even want to describe what they were doing in there. I'm disturbed by it. I wanted to ask for a refund but how do u approach them with that crap going on??

I’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels, and I’m not picky. But this wasn’t just outdated—it was absolutely unfit for guests.

When I pulled into the Red Roof Inn in Youngwood, PA, I thought it was closed. Overgrown weeds, a deserted lot, and a building that looked like it hadn't been touched in years. But I had already prepaid through Priceline, so I went inside.

As soon as I stepped through the back entrance, I was hit with the stench of mildew and filth. The stairwell was disgusting. My room smelled like a rotting camper—musty, stagnant, and damp. The bathroom floor was sticky and grimy. The table looked like it was picked up off a curb. The shower spit out rust-colored water. I wouldn’t take off my shoes, let alone sleep comfortably.

I calmly went to the front desk and asked if we could part ways peacefully. I said I wouldn’t leave a review if they just let me check out and move on. The guy shrugged and said, “I don’t care. I don’t own the place.”

After 90 minutes on the phone with Priceline, they told me the only way to get even a partial refund was to drive back and return the key within 10 minutes. I had already left. Ridiculous.

This property is a disgrace to the Red Roof brand, and Priceline should stop listing it.

I didn’t like the service or the staff people there . I came there for a week for work and they was really rude . Couldn’t get towels and washcloth because they want the ones you use and bring it to the front . The man at the front desk was rude and yelling at me but get mad I was yelling back then want to call the police talking about go to your boss . Ants in my room . Then people stuff was getting taking from there room hotel folks was stealing . I had my own wash rag and towels and I come back it’s gone . I had to bring my own sheets and covers . It was the worst week staying there . Ubers was scared to come to my hotel . Can’t order pizza there it’s 20 mins away . I think the place don’t like black people . Told us go to the back to smoke last day they say we couldn’t smoke out back but for a week yall said we good . Don’t go to that spot it was bad .

What’s so crazy is this location DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AT ALL! IF I COULD POST THE PICTURES OF MY ROOM ON HERE I WOULD, I was told my room would be changed and the next day a new guy who is rude is telling me to be “weary because we are on a recorded line”, people are on these reviews talking about a 100 deposit that we were never told to give so that’s just more of red roof inn making policies and changing them on the fly, the man at the front with no name tag was able to raise his voice and tell me to leave and get out but the moment I raised my voice THE COPS GET CALLED AND IM TOLD THAT IM BEING THREATENING TOWARDS HIM, as if I wasn’t given a room with no smoke detector, piss on the sheets, a dirty fridge and ice holder . The men who came to the room at 11 pm at night on June 13 was willing to admit that the “new room service ladies needed more training” but the taller man at the front desk had no ability to show remorse for giving us a room with the bed on the floor and other issues previously spoken about earlier”

DO NOT STAY HERE! You might get charged a deposit, you might not, you might have a smoke detector , you might not, you might get a bed that lifted , or you might get a bed on the floor, you might get pissy sheets, or they might be clean but the issue with this hotel is that they are not willing to take blame or compensate AT ALL! NEVER AGAIN

The owner and his wife were great! Had to stay at this location for an extended period. Not only were the staff kind but very accommodating to my schedule needs. Would definitely recommend and return if I was in the area.

I have traveled to many places in my life. As an elderly solo woman with a cat I needed a one night stay in a hurry. My landlord with short notice was going to spray the attic with toxic spray harmful to me and my cat. In a panic I needed to check in for an overnight stay. All hotels near had a 3 pm check-in policy and he was coming at 8am, a 7 hour difference. I could not stay in the car that long! That's brings me to Red Roof Inn. They were so kind! They worked with me and when I checked in helped me carry in my over night needs including heavy kitty litter and 2 back packs. Then I didn't know how a Smart key worked. I called the front desk for help. They responded with a smile and showed me how it worked. Yeah! Then when I left the room, came back the key did not work again. I made a call once again. Well, it turns out this elderly lady didn't know that a cell phone held next to a Smart Key voided a working working key! I was by my own description a pain in the butt! So I get into my room and was pleasantly surprised! It was updated and quite roomy with all amenities I needed. It was very clean, pillows fluffy, |Mattress comfortable and a big window with a view that my cat and I enjoyed.|Ok now check out time and more kindness. My deposit was returned in a timely fashion. Every employee and maybe owners too could not be kinder. After my experience I say best hotel value ever and when traveling will stay at Red Roof Inns and save money too! Thank you to all who helped me in the kindest way ever! Thank you,thank youKitty says thank you too!

My friend and her children are currently staying here waiting for their new home to be ready. I want to thank the staff and owners for how amazing they are treating them. The kids are happy, the room is clean, clean building, WORKING washers and dryers. The staff is very understanding that the kids are in a new environment and are very nice to the kids anytime they ask a question. Hallways are always clean, it always smells clean, staff is always here and at the desk at any hour that they would need something. Thank you to the staff for making them feel so welcome and comfortable!!!

There rooms have mold as well as the bathrooms. Booked this morning on booking.com. When I went to check in the lady stated it was a one hundred dollar security deposit. On booking.com the property policies doesn’t state this AT ALL . Update

We didn’t receive a refund . My boyfriend called them back and they stated we weren’t getting a refund because he peed at that front desk . Then told us they needed a 200 dollar security deposit. These people are money hungry seriously . I wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Dirty and overpriced for what it is. Someone pissed a puddle in the stairwell.... wet with very obvious smell and it was on the way to the room (no elevators). Very noisy air conditioner that sounded like rain pelting the window. Curtains don't darken enough. Too many issues. I recommend going elsewhere.

Let me just say, the Red Roof Inn in New Stanton is the Ritz-Carlton if the Ritz-Carlton decided to stop charging you $400 a night to sleep on pillows made of unicorn eyelashes.

Let’s talk value: for what I paid, I expected a glorified broom closet, maybe with a complimentary bucket. Instead, I got a room that felt like a hug from a grandmother who lets you curse and eat cookies for dinner. The Wi-Fi was faster than my last relationship, and the AC unit blew colder than my ex’s heart. Beautiful.

This place is the holy grail for anyone who wants to travel without selling a kidney. The price? So good I double-checked to make sure I wasn’t accidentally booking a tent behind the building. But no—actual walls, a bed, and running water! We’re living large, baby.

The room had everything I needed: a bed that didn’t scream, a TV that didn’t judge, and Wi-Fi fast enough to binge a whole season of “Judge Judy” without buffering once. That’s value.

The front desk staff were friendly and only mildly suspicious of how excited I was about the price. I wanted to hug them but figured that might land me on a list.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely. In fact, I might move in. At these prices, it’s cheaper than my electric bill.

Highly recommend—especially if you like your travel budget to look like a snack instead of a financial emergency.

I woke up around 10.30 in the morning, left the hotel to have breakfast, came back, at 11.05 I entered the room and wanted to use the toilet, while I was in the toilet they started banging on the door, I came out of the toilet, opened the door and faced a harsh attitude. They asked me for my ID, I gave it to them, they threatened me that who are you to enter the room, we will give you to the police, then they asked me for money as a penalty, I didn't want to give it, they threatened to call the police, this is a damn place and after they took the money they asked me for, they gave me my ID, they didn't let me take my belongings in the room

Hotel staff very rude, asked for 2 more pillows front desk said they didn't have any extra, bed are hard as rocks, the floor is better than the beds, went to the front desk to ask for more towels besides us using them for two days and then having to put them on the floor to soak up the water from the shower curtain not closing, we kinda needed new ones, asked the office if they can put salt on entrance B they told me not my job . Never staying here again telling the company and my boss don't ever book this hotel again

This place was filthy especially tye bathroom.. Customer service terrible. When arrived entire hallway smelled of Marijuana. The next day I was kicked out at at 4 am accused if smoking wich i was NOT. Wrongfully kept my security deposit. There r plenty of other hotels in area I wld chose one of those and stear clear if this place.

My family and I took a vacation to Pittsburgh, PA to catch a couple of games. We stayed at the New Stanton location due to the proximity to Pittsburgh. Our family has two dogs. The customer service at this location was awful. My family made a reservation for two dogs. The general manager then proceeded to tell us we did not make a reservation for two dogs. After providing the necessary proof, email confirmation of two dogs, we were charged an additional $60. During the interaction with the general manager, we asked for a business card and/or his name. He told us he is not obligated to provide us with his name and told us he did not have a business card. After pressing the issue ,he then provided us with a business card. After we came home from our four-night stay, we received an additional $150 in charges. Upon calling the location we were informed that we were charged the extra fee due to the dog hair in the room and the cleaning service to remove the dog hair. After questioning his motive on the extra cleaning he charge, the man on the phone switched his tune and said that we had left the dogs unattended in the hotel room. Both dogs were crated and no harm could have been done to the room or other guests. When we asked who had reported that we had left the dogs unattended, they said that they heard the dog barking and it came from the room directly next to us. We had noticed and were informed by hotel staff that the room next door to us is a full-time employee of the hotel. Our dogs are not known to cause issues, especially when it comes to volume. The whole experience was subpar to say the least. They collude with each other to make the hotel more money. Just save yourselves the headaches and stay completely away from Red Roof Inns, most defintely avoid this chain if you are a pet owner.

Horrendous and horrible. This hotel and its staff are among the worst I've ever seen. I checked in and found a dirty room and hallway, without even an elevator for handicapped people. Doors sloppily painted red, like it's totally dilapidated. I asked for a simple room change because of the noise, from the "General Manager" and after being moved to a high traffic MORE noise location near the lobby, I received this condescending smirking tirade from the GM, telling me he can't move me anywhere else and I can go with him to pick my room, and I expect the world of him, that "no hotel could offer me a better treatment"... I cut my losses and go to my original room. Same night he goes off on me again after I tried to patch things up and calls me racist, discriminatory, accusing me of false things, gaslighting me, etc. basically inventing things in his mind as he goes in the most bizarre way I've ever seen someone babble insanely. He goes on like this for almost two hours, he must have been on uppers. I recorded him for safety and proof. And the next morning I awoke to a domestic abuse from the couple next to me I wanted to move away from. The desk lady did little more than knock and walk away. Never staying at a Red Roof again. I will be publishing video proof to corporate and the local police for proof of my word in charges and a refund.
Spend the extra 15 dollars and avoid this awful place.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THE LADY WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE HAS A THCIK ACCENT AND WHEN I ASKED HER TO SPELL HER NAME, SHE TOLD ME I WAS RACIST.|I originally booked this hotel on 10/3/2024 for a 10/12/24 stay. When we realized we could not stay, I called on 10/7/24 to cancel the reservation, well within the cancellation period. On 10/15/24 I was charged for the one-night stay. When I called to question the charge, I was told it was a mistake, and it would be given to a manager for a refund. It is 10/24/24 and still no refund. After trying multiple times, my phone number has been blocked from calling the hotel.||IF I COULD GIVE THIS REVIEW A LESS STAR I WOULD.

IF THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR LESS THAN ONE STAR, THAT WOULD BE MY CHOICE. Booked a stay and found out we were not able to attend our event, so I cancelled 7 days prior and was still charged for a one night stay. I called to question the charge since I called to cancel. I was given the run around and finally my phone number has been blocked from contacting the hotel. I also called from another phone and asked for a refund and that number is not blocked!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE WOMAN I SPOKE TO IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I HAVE STAYED AT MULTIPLE HOTELS OVER MY LIFE AND HAD TO CANCEL SOME. I AM VERY AWARE OF A CANCELATION POLICY, AS I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MY MONEY.

I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GUEST RELATIONS AND THEY BASICALLY SAID IT WAS INVESTIGATED IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF ME FILLING THE DISPUTE.

I HAVE NOW FILED A COMPALINT WITH THE PA ATTORNEY GENERAL.

PLEASE DON'T STAY THERE, A LOT OF THE COMPLAINTS I AM SEEING ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH WHAT I AM DEALING WITH!

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE STAY HERE. WE HAD RESERVATION FOR THREE NIGHTS. WE HAD EMERGENCY HAD TO LEAVE AFTER FIRST NIGHT. The staff are the most helpful and friendly people! I had issues with booking.com and the manager and man at the desk were quick to solve the issue when it was not even their fault. Best customer service possible! The staff at this location makes me very likely to choose red roof in different cities. The rooms may be slightly outdated, but very clean and amazing customer service makes this spot a great choice!

I got amazing customer service for any time of day, and I got in about 2am. KP at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and went beyond what he needed to do, including helping me bring my bags in from the car, and he wouldn't even take a tip when offered.

The room was generally good, but there were a couple issues. One is the way the mattress fits in the bed frame makes it very uncomfortable to sit on the side of the bed for any length of time because the frame digs into the back of my thigh.

Next, the bathroom felt really cramped, barely room to turn around, and awkward to get in or out of the shower.

And finally, when calling the front desk,I found in the morning that my room phone, and I had to use my cell phone. That would also explain why I never got my requested wakeup call.

Even with those issues, I'd happily stay here again, especially if all the staff are as great as KP (I think that's what he said his name was - or PK - after all, it was 2am and I'd been on the road for hours)

Great location close to Mount Pleasant and Greensburg. Close to PA turnpike. Rooms are average. Affordable pricing for what you get. Staff will match one pricing if cheaper which is really nice.

Positive: Super helpful and friendly staff, the fastest, easiest check in, pet policy is great Negative: It was dirty, there was smoke/nasty drips on the hvac unit controls and down the front. The sheets didn't look clean and had stains on it. Beds went flat against frame, pillows seemed nonexistent.

After a 10 hour drive with our two older labradors, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep at the room we booked online. The proprietor did not honor our reservation - they told us we needed to book a second room- one for each dog, though this was not mentioned on the site. They then proceeded to deny us a refund. I am not sure how other reviewers found the people friendly. Even before denying us our paid for room, they were unfriendly. I will never stay at any Red Roof Inn.

I saw your "apology" which is clearly lip service as you denied the request for a refund. Red Roof Inn New Stanton needs to do better!

I recently came to this location for an extended stay of 16 days. I have two dogs… my dogs are not perfect they bark when they hear loud noise, when they get startled and my one (more afraid then the other and I’m working on it) gets anxiety when I first leave her. I understand this isn’t ideal but most people that have dogs understand this can be part of it. I didn’t plan to have to bring them to an extended stay, but life happens. From the moment I arrived I felt like they didn’t like me for some reason (all aside from one employee). The people that run this location live there as well. Any time I would pass them they would give me looks and then call one another. Anything I did without realizing (smoked to close to the door) they were right there. When I was advised I never did it again, I do not want anything but peace and respect. Their dog area is far from their buildings and I am disabled right now unfortunately. I wasn’t aware of this and behind the buildings there is an area for service animals. I talked to the manager and told him the truth, that they were not service animals that I wanted to be honest and could not walk my dogs to their dog area as it was to far. I got rates at another hotel and said I would be happy to leave (bad vibes anyway), he advised me to stay that he would talk to the general manager and talk to me the next morning. The following morning at 10:15 the general manager knocked on my door, my dog peeked out and she literally tried to run away. I told her that she had nothing to fear that my dog would not hurt her and I apologized as I didn’t expect her. I didn’t realize that this woman was the general manager, I had talked to her multiple times as she was the one who corrected me but never told me. She started with what are you going to do, mind you I have some serious brain fog due to my health unfortunately so I asked what she meant. She told me I had to leave that I had only until 11 or I would have to pay another day. She said some other things that were very rude and ended with I needed to control my dogs. At the time I was flustered so I advised I would go down to the desk. I took a second and as I thought about it I started to get upset. There was no way I could leave in that little amount of time, due to the length of my stay I had a lot of stuff with me and I needed help to move it. I went to the office and said that she cannot expect me to be able to get out in that short of notice. I asked for more time to leave (even 2 hours), she refused. I got more upset and told her I could have a lawsuit with how they are treating me. That they should have wanted me to leave peacefully when I was willing because if I did pass out or worse it would be even worse. It started to get loud (I wasn’t screaming but just upset) never called her any names threatened her or anything. She then proceeded to call the police, tell them she was in immediate danger and I was threatening her and she was terrified and they needed to come fast. I advised I would wait outside and did, my father is retired law enforcement and I am no threat. Police came and I decided in order to keep the peace I would pay another night (didn’t sleep there and was out within 2 hours) and move my stuff at my pace and then check out the following morning. I want to write this because it may help someone pause before coming with any animals. They are very much not pet friendly and very judgmental (I do have tattoos but am not threatening whatsoever). I would advise you do not come here with your pets. It’s already stressful traveling with animals for this very reason and most of us understand this.

Do not stay here. In the three weeks I stayed at this hotel, I received room service once, despite the fact that I was told during check-in that they provided it every three day. I even asked for some service, and STILL received none. And I haven’t even started on the condition of the room. There was mold growing under the air conditioner, the bathroom counter top was falling off the wall, the shower curtain won’t close all the way, AND I’d say at least ninety percent of the outlets don’t work, despite me flipping the light-switch connected to the breaker to turn the rest on. When employees vavuumed outside, you couldn’t even use appliances in the room, (Microwave, hair dryer, etc.) because you’d trip the breaker. I should have just asked for my money back, but every other hotel in the area was twice the price.

I don't even understand how this place has the rating it does. It's absolutely DISGUSTING here. I'll start with the room. Sheets are stained, walls are peeling, tub is stained and rusted, air vent in bathroom is caked in dust, edge of the bathroom tub looked moldy, room door didn't close easily, wierd smell over all, cigarettes litter the outside and my favorite part....... sink just spills out water. Others smoke in the hallways which is awful because it "SUPPOSED" to be a no smoking building and we had our toddlers with us. There are long term residents there. Someone window was wide open while we were unpacking and we noticed they had 3 microwaves and 2 mini fridge. We will never be back. It was soooo uncomfortable I couldn't sleep and in no way were any of us going to take a shower. We would have gotten out dirtier. Please don't stay here. I know it cheap and in a pickle it seems like a smart idea, but pay the extra $50 for a more respectable hotel. Especially if you have little ones with you. We saved some money but it wasn't worth it. Look at the pics, I literally took them the second we walked in the room.

Safe, clean, inexpensive place. What makes it unique is an indian manager who always goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. Overall, it's a really good place to stay

The hallways and outside are a bit rough but it seems like they are doing a remodel. The rooms are very clean the staff are great. And the price is unbeatable.

Absolutely trash. Stayed over a week. My room never once got cleaned. Strong smell of cigarettes in my room every day. Ended up having to leave a day early. Checked out at 6am and asked for a reimbursement for the next day. Wouldn't reimbursement me said I should have asked the night before. Said I need to give a 24 notice of early check outs. Technically I gave them a early notice. Today and tomorrow is 24 hour notice.

The location is the ONLY redeemable quality of this hotel.

Desperate for a hotel, I called town after town looking for any vacancy in ANY hotel on our drive from Pennsylvania to Michigan, we finally found this place at around 7am. We booked and paid for the room in person at the location. Because of the very late(early?) check-in, we asked if there was a later check out than 11am, and offered to pay for it, and the worker at the front desk told us that yes, yes, yes! She would make sure that we had that. The room was exactly what one would assume of a $64/night room, which was fine, but what was unacceptable was the dirty appearance of the bathroom, the uncomfortably lumpy bed, and the sheets/pillow cases that smelled of what I can only describe as “past guests”.

We got up at 11:30, and while in the shower/bathroom, were greeted with heavy rapping at the door, followed by faster and heavier knocking a minute after we yelled from the bathroom that we would be out …in a minute. Opening the door while in a towel is not something we’re accustomed to having to do, and it was very uncomfortable being spoken to in such a demeaning way, the individual demanding that we vacate the premises immediately as late check out is strictly to be adhered to no later than 11:30AM! When we said we asked to pay for late check out and that we had only checked in 4 hours prior, we were told that we would have the POLICE called on us because “we had dead-bolted the door”-but if we hadn’t, we would have been walked in on in a state of undress- and the worker barked at us that he had been knocking for ten minutes… It was literally TWO minutes from the time he started bothering us, as we heard the knocking immediately and responded by coming to the door NAKED! We received no phone calls from them, asked why not, and were then harassed to leave. I’ve never been threatened with the police before, and do not ever plan to be again.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. If you have any value or self respect, you’d do better to stay away from this den of misery.

I didn’t plan to leave a review so I don’t have any photos, but you can imagine what the cheapest room available looks like, and you’d be correct. Not Chernobyl grade, but not great.

This hotel is trash. I checked into my room went right to bed. Left for work in the morning and on my hidden camera there was an old Indian women taking pictures of my receipts and papers that where on my desk. I had to change all my passwords and pin numbers. Not to mention THIS IS A ROACH INFESTED HOTEL.

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful every time I stay (and that is often every 2 to 3 months) and it's right off the expressway. There's lots of nearby food options and stores, and there's a microwave and fridge in every room I've been in. The rooms aren't fancy and not everything in them is new, but for the price and the service you can't beat it!
Great place and where I stay every time when I drive through the area.

Rooms were clean and reasonable price. No complaints other than the beds in both our rooms were uncomfortably hard. With some mattress upgrades we would give 5 stars.
