Rainbow Restoration Of South Central Iowa

Our sump pump quit working and our 800 square foot full finished basement flooded. We had never dealt with water damage and were very overwhelmed trying to figure out how to handle the situation. I called Rainbow and within 1 hr a representative was here. Surveyed damage, made a plan of action. Within 2 hrs a crew of 3 very respectful and conscience workers were here. Tore out wet carpet and pad got huge dehumidifier and fans running. 5 stars isn't enough! Very professional from the 1st call. If water damage happens to you then I very highly recommend you call Rainbow Int'l! Jessie, Steven, Tanner, Abby, Mary, Wendy and Pat, I cannot thank you enough!

Excellent service and follow thru when we needed it in our basement. Very pleased with speed of service. Steve, Brandon, and Trent were great to work with.

Very poor customer relations with the owner. Construction debris caused damage. Billed for amount over what our agreement was for and excessive/crazy "interest" charges - please read!
Rainbow Restoration handled restoring my house after a small kitchen fire. The contractors left my driveway and garage with a large amount of debris. We found glass shards from the tile, sharp metal pieces from the tile trim, screws etc. Installation debris was left all over in the garage. A screw was lodged in my garbage disposal which caused the motor to seize. I had to buy and pay to have a new garbage disposal installed. I had not thought about trying to be reimbursed for this at this point, I was going to shrug it off as part of dealing with contractors.
Later that week I took my car in for an oil change and to look at my tire pressure sensor. The service advisor came to me after the vehicle was inspected and informed me I had screws/nails in THREE of my tires! Two of which were not repairable. My vehicle is an all-wheel drive vehicle, and you cannot replace just 2 tires, it will damage the transfer case. My tires were not in bad condition and would not have had to be replaced for maybe two years if I they had not been ruined by construction debris. At this point I am angry and have incurred more monetary loss than I am willing to accept because of a contractor’s negligence. I called the project manager and left a detailed message and said I need to be reimbursed for the tires and the garbage disposal.
I received an invoice from Rainbow Restorations for ~ $4300. We contracted for upgrades above and beyond the insurance coverage for an amount ~$3500... and since I had not been informed that I would receive reimbursement, I deducted the cost of the tires and the garbage disposal from $3500 and sent a check for the difference.
The check was cashed, but I also received an email with a bill for ~$800 in "interest" plus charges in excess of the $3500 contract (which should be billed to insurance). My contract for the upgrade was $3500, not $4300. The email stated the payment was due when the project finished and that per their contract it would accrue 1.5% interest. I never received a copy of any contract that indicated these terms - I think they had me sign some electronic form months before the project began, so shame on me for not asking for a copy and for having faith that the company wouldn't screw me. But I would also like to know the math used to come up with $800 interest ~ 50 days! This is criminal!
My husband and I called the owner, and he basically called me a liar and could not believe that I had three damaged tires. Neither could I! It is unfathomable! And it is obvious that these items are not a coincidence but are a direct result of the contractor’s negligence in cleaning after the job.
I'm not sure the owner is going to do the right thing and cover my expenses; it doesn't appear that he is as he HUNG UP ON ME when I mentioned going to court, so the outcome of this is still pending.

Gina with Rainbow restorations did a great job of keeping us informed every step of the way after we had a flood in our basement on our anniversary weekend. She shooed us way to our mini vacation taking care of the beginning of the clean up while we were gone. She also made sure that all of the remodeling was taken care of as if it were her own home!

The entire team at Rainbow Restoration did a great job at my house. My water heater ruptured and flooded a portion of my basement. Rainbow did the water mitigation and the reconstruction. The mitigation team was at my house within 30 minutes of my original call. Trent and Tony worked really hard to put everything back together. My wife and I are very happy with the work Rainbow did.

Rainbow did a fantastic job of remodeling my home after a fire. From beginning to end, doing all the contracting, taking care of paper work & even responding to an emergency gas leak so I didn't have to leave work. Construction was swift within their window of estimated time & only a few blemishes not to my liking were taken care of no questions asked. Gina, the Foreman on the project, was very kind, understanding & politely opinionated. I'm pleased with the finished project & some of her own ideas gave me a warm & cozy home to come back too. All of the other staff & contractors I can also say the same for. Thank you Rainbow for your professionalism, understanding & respect in my time of need.

Wendy and the gang where on it from the moment they called. Always would call to let us know when they would be showing up and kept us informed of how things were progressing. Showed up within 2 hours of when we first called, on a Sunday, which was Father’s Day on top of it. I hope I never need their service again, but if I do, they will get the call.

We had Micheal come out to clean out our dryer vent, he was very very nice! Did a really good job and we really enjoyed having him! Got the dryer vent and cleaned out and working well! I would highly recommend him and rainbow international restoration! Also their prices are very reasonable!

Michael Murray and assistant arrived on time as scheduled. They cleaned our air ducts and showed us the end results once this was completed. Also cleaned 2 dryer vents and replaced one tubing. A video and the actual debris was shown to us. Next they shampooed 3 carpeted rooms in the house. What a difference the cleaning made in their appearance. Done in a timely manner and kept us informed on their progress throughout the day. Well worth the money. Feel like the spring house cleaning is 50% completed with these services.

Michael Murray was the tech that came to my new rental home. My carpets were in very bad shape including cleanliness as well as needing a repair. He was very professional and was genuinely concerned about making sure the carpets were as clean as possible as I have 2 little ones who will be on the floors. The carpets came out so great and smelling so much better!

My insurance company hired them for water damage cleanup. They worked around my schedule and Ryan was extremely professional and went above and beyond what he needed to do. He did 2 different projects for me that he didn’t have to do. He was also honest and gave me $5 he found under my washing machine when power washing. He answered my questions and explained in detail the whole process. He was professional and friendly which is so rare in customer service anymore. The results looked great too! Highly recommend!

Very professional carpet service and restoration company. They restored one of our apartment units after a small fire and recently cleaned several carpets in units.
They utilize high quality equipment and supplies to obtain excellent results.
We unable to utilize them on a regular basis since we are not close by; however, we'll be sure to call them whenever we need help in the future.

We had the carpets at our agency (Support Services of South Central Iowa) cleaned, it looks like it's brand new carpet. Being a hotel we have very high traffic areas and the occasional mess or spill. We highly recommend using Rainbow International! The cleanup team was incredible. They were courteous and thorough. They explained everything they did and made sure we understood. We wanted to use the restoration team to rebuild the damaged areas. They never called as promised. After over a week, I finally called. The gentelman was more concerned about us paying him without us receiving a bill than setting up for restoration (it had been less than 2 weeks since the cleanup guys started). He called 3 more times to ask for payment and 3 more times we asked for a bill to be sent. Needless to say, we need to now look for a restoration company and we'll never use or recommend them.

We were able to get an appointment quickly to have our carpet cleaned. He did a great job on the carpet. It looks good.

I had a fire in my home I called rainbow to get a second estimate pat came to our home and tested the structure for water damage and fire damage they told us he could send three men the next day to give us a quote on the job at 11:30 am the three men never showed up so I called pat and got no answer then I called the company and asked for them to have pat call me still no answer by this take it was after 3 pm and I finally reserved a phone call from pat and his tone had completely changed to not even giving me a quote because he had talk with my insurance adjuster and for some reason the adjust had scared him away from our restoration job this will tell you just how spineless this company can be they aren’t even willing to work with me as a customer let alone I took time out of my day to track them down to see why they never showed they couldn’t call me not only are they spineless they can’t communicant with a potential customer Now here I set with four children homeless and still look for a restoration company that isn’t scared of an insurance company..

Absolutely amazing I called because my dog had an accident due to him being sick they answered right away I talk to them got it scheduled they said they would have somebody to my house within an hour they showed up within the hour ready to go he came in and explain what is going to be doing how are you and take care of it and when he was done he did a little above and beyond and did a once over on the whole thing and it came out looking as new as it did on the day it came off the showroom. I would recommend these guys to anybody and everybody that needs any kind of cleaning upholstery, mattress, carpet or anything. They do amazing work. My tech was Trent he was prompt professional and knowledgeable. Thank you again rainbow intl.

After having a bad leak in the basement Antonio came at 9 at night and stayed to get all equipment going to dry things out. Three days later we were dry and essentially no water damage anywhere. Great job.

Stephen had cleaned my carpets. They turned out amazing. I'm have two young children and a dog so you can only imagine the shape of the carpet. When I returned home the carpet looked exceptional. We had just bought a house and apparently the carpets have been cleaned prior but we're still very dirty. Michael Murray came out and looked at it and claimed he could take care of it. After he was done the difference was amazing.
