We recently had James Hardie siding and gutter installation and Rain City Exteriors did an excellent job. The crew were highly skilled, thorough and punctual and finished the jib in due time. Jose, the PM, was wonderful to work with and have answered and resolved all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend them for any exterior work.

We had a very successful experience with Raincity Exteriors. We had extensive work completed, including new roof, siding, some windows, front door, exterior painting, and pergola on deck. Everything was completed to our satisfaction. We probably met most of the staff as different crews completed different projects. Staff members were invariably hard working and polite. Each evening there cleaned up around house. Minor “punch list” items to correct minor issues were promptly addressed. We would highly recommend this company.

Rain City Exteriors did an amazing job on our house residing and painting project. They're pricing was similar to other proposals I received, but we wanted to support a smaller local business.

I manage buildings, so I'm very particular and have a high attention to detail which drives some contractors crazy. Rain City was very responsive to all of my notes and worked with me to get the results I was expecting.

After the siding was installed, they did a pre-inspection to make sure all details were correct, buttoned up a couple of spots and came back to correct a spot that I noticed that was missed and then it was ready for painting. I wasn't expecting this and was very impressed.

My house was small and painting was done in one day. Brand new house complete! Great communication, great results, cleaned up after each day; I'd highly recommend Rain City Exteriors.

We needed a new roof and had Jose do an estimate. He was very thorough and was the only one who showed us a hole in our gas fireplace‘chimney.’
Having had Rain City fix some siding in the past we knew they were up to the job. They not only replaced the chimney siding but the roof with new and painted fascia and new gutters make the exterior look so much nicer.
Kevin came after the work was completed to be sure everything was finished and went above and beyond to paint some areas that we asked for.
We will have our exterior painted in the future and will likely have Rain City do that as well.

Joel at Rain City exteriors did an excellent job on the side of our house with a repair that was needed after we replaced our electrical meter and had to move it to a code compliant location which left a hole in the side of the house. We were very pleased with the work that was done and you can't tell that there was a hole. In fact it looks better than new. The team showed up on time and did the work within the time they said they were going to. They communicated well with us the entire time and let us know everything they were doing. They also cleaned up everything after the work. We would hire them again and would recommend them to our friends.

Joel was great. Very responsive to requests and checked in and asked questions for clarifications or style preferences. Joel worked very hard and has very clean work!

We had a great experience working with Rain City Exteriors. Jose the owner came to give us an estimate and explained the process. His bid was more competitive than other companies we got estimates from and they could also complete the work sooner.

The actual job was done by Joel and was of excellent quality. During the siding replacement he noticed some parts of our plywood were bad in areas adjacent to where we originally were expecting work to be done and he asked if I wanted that fixed as well which I did.

I had been looking to get my 1942 home's original siding replaced as well as pulling 1980's T1-11 siding off my home's garage-turn master bedroom plus a back room addition. Also covered in T1-11 siding was a back yard un-detached dwelling building. For two years I seeked bids from over 8 different companies even having people want to come inside my home to which I found was an extremely intense sales pitch from an out-of-state contractor. Bids were varied significantly in differences of cost for the same project. It was a referral from a neighbor architect who designs homes as to how I came across Rain City. The bid landed right in the middle of the lows to the highs. I looked at their reviews with BBB. They have a great reputation. Trust one of your most important assets with Rain City. It's a great investment. I'm extremely pleased with their level of quality workmanship (especially the cedar shingles) and professionalism.

EXCEPTIONAL in every way, from the communication, to the craftsmanship, to the fair pricing. We needed extensive work done on the exterior of our 1950 home that we had been putting off for several years as it felt very daunting, and expensive, and had gotten several bids along the way. The final company we contacted was Rain City Exteriors and we are so grateful we did. They handled the complicated tasks with ease and professionalism. I hired the Rain City Exteriors to replace entire sidings and windows of my home in Sammamish a few years ago. They did a fantastic job and very pleasant to work with the owners and employees. They also repaired my roof and windows that were damaged due to the bomb cyclone in November of 2024. They were prompt and helpful! Their after service was excellent! Every time I need repairs around the house, they are my go to guys!. I highly recommend them!

They were the first company out of several companies to come “give estimates” that actually included a quote and a price that was also reasonable. One company gave a quote but were significantly more costly than this company, by over $10k. Other companies came and walked around my house but never actually produced a quote with a cost of the project. This company showed up, gave a reasonable quote, gave a start time (which was a week later and might partially be due to the time of year they were able to get me in so quickly), then showed up on the day they said they would and at the time they said they would. Their work was solid and included painting of the new siding they put on my house. I would recommend them for siding work.

Job was completed as contracted. Worked in 30 degree weather, photographed all work performed and cleaned around the house and neighbors. Total satisfaction. Will recommend to anyone needing roof work. And the price was perfect for a retiree . Thanks Rain City

We recently used Rain City for new siding on our home. From the beginning they were communicative, straight forward, professional, and honest. They didn't have the best price but weren't the most expensive either. Their employees are also certified by the company of the product they installed for us too, which is comforting. They gave us 5-year warranty on their work plus a there's a warranty on the product they installed. They were prompt, clean, efficient, and cared for our property like they actually cared. There was one small issue at the end which was really no fault of anyone's, it just happens. There was nail that went through the pipe of one of our hose bibs. They were paid in full and done with the job when I called them back. They arranged to meet with a plumber they use and us to make a plan to remedy the issue. Still, from there forward they were communicative and prompt in resolving the issue. Would definitely recommend using Rain City for your next home improvement project.

Rain City Roofing did a great job with detecting damage to our roof, initially with a drone then a free inspection using photos, so that we did not just have to rely on their word. They helped us save more by catching the problems before it was a catastrophe.
They detected damage to some siding and pro actively fixed it, but there was some unknown issues to them with that area. They went above and beyond to fix the issues and made sure we were satisfied with the work.

Neighbors tree punchchard a hole in my roof due to the nasty Bomb Cyclone. Well i guess my roof needed a replacement anyways. My neighbor recommended Rain City Exteriors.

I had a major project of doing not only the new exteriors with a new design but also getting a whole new roof. The whole project took about three months. Though it took a bit longer than we anticipated due to some uncontrollable circumstances, the whole project went very smoothly and well coordinated. In the each stage of the project, there’s a field manger assigned I can communicate with for any ongoing tasks.

The end result - they did excellent job!! Here I’m including a few pictures of before and after. Jose, the owner, is also very nice and good with any follow through.

There were tree’s trunks hitting my house after a cyclone. I called Rain City. They were able to come in next day’s morning, remove the trunks and professionally watertight the holes on the roof to prevent further damage. They then worked with me to go through the damage with the adjuster of my insurance company. They made sure that the insurance covered all the damages involved. As they repaired the house, they took pictures of additional damages discovered and added the newly identified damages as supplements to the insurance estimate. As a result, I only needed to pay the deductible and the insurance covered the rest of all the damages. Throughout the process, people from Rain City are super responsive (e.g replying my messages or emails, meeting the adjuster for inspection, etc) and efficient and fast in the repair. Their work is also very high quality. With Rain City, my roof repair experience was surprisingly good. I really appreciate their professionalism, responsiveness, efficiency, high quality work, and willingness to help and work with insurance company!

Rain City were the first to show up after a branch went through our roof and they had a competitive bid with excellent communication throughout the whole process. Haven't used them but they left several scare tactic ads in my neighborhood about missing shingles. I would not trust a business that uses these kinds of practices. And no, my house and the other 80 houses in my neighborhood were not all missing shingles. Don't fall for this kind of fear mongering, use an honest company.

I had Rain City Exteriors help me with some rotten siding, insulation installation, and a faulty gutter that led to some of the rot. The work they did was very clean, quick, and professional. We found some unexpected issues once things were opened up, and they were open with me about discussing options and resolving what came up. The house feels better and the siding looks excellent. Very happy with how this all turned out.

These guys are true professionals! Troy and Jose are very knowledgeable and gained our trust from day one. The crew we had was Joel and Alex and they did amazing work with efficiency, and kept the surroundings safe and clean. I would 100% use them again and highly recommend their work.

I was fortunate enough to see Jose driving through my neighborhood on Wednesday, November 20, 2024; the morning after the bomb cyclone. When I was informed by a neighbor that I had roof damage, I immediately looked up Rain City Exteriors and gave them a call. Jose was at my residence within the hour and gave me a very reasonable quote for the repair. The weather delayed the repair a few days.

Fast forward to yesterday, November 27, 2024. One of Jose's men came out to my residence to complete the repair and did a fantatsic job! He was kind, attentive, thorough, diligent and informative. He took pictures before, during and after the repair and I couldn't be happier with the result.

We’ve had two projects done by Rain City and have been very happy with how both turned out. They did new siding for us about 3 years ago and just finished replacing our basement windows. In both cases they’ve done great work, been on time, fast, clean up well, and do a good job with communication. Guillermo has been our sales rep and Nic our project manager and both have been very responsive and helpful. Overall Rain City will do a good job at an affordable price.

Rain City Exteriors really delivered on their promise of quality work for a fair price. The crew was experienced and tidied up after each workday.When damaged framing was discovered they reported it to us and didn’t just cover it up. The materials used look incredible (love the mountain sage color) and our 1930s house looks new again. We highly recommend them if you’re looking to replace your siding.

We just completed a major project. The Rain City team removed all of the old cedar siding and trim and replaced it with Hardie Siding and trim. After that was done they painted the siding , trim and exterior doors and stained the soffits and tongue and groove ceiling over the carport and front porch. They were great to work with and the finished product looks fantastic. I highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Rain City Handyman Service. They quickly identified and repaired an issue with our siding, and had everything resolved within just a few days. What really impressed us was how they went above and beyond with prevention suggestions after their inspection. We’re very happy with their prompt service and how thoroughly they addressed the problem.

My house looks great. I couldn't be happier with the process and the end result. I also appreciated the recommendations that Jose made with regard to paint finish for the house as well as a couple decks that needed attention as well. They were highly recommended to me and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them to others.

The Rain City team did a great job for repairs to some siding areas. I'm quite satisfied with the overall results.

What I really liked:
-Estimation - Guillermo provided good repair alternatives to help me get the right balance of aesthetics, durability and cost. Not the lowest bid option I saw, but reasonable compared to other full service companies which were pushing a hard sell with much more scope. The estimate doc was sensibly detailed.
-Quality of work and installed materials were good. Attention to detail was generally very good, the siding team was efficient. Everyone from Rain City behaved in a reasonable/professional manner and seemed to know their stuff.
-Jose was good with handling special asks coming from my end and dealing with punch-list issues. There were no surprise costs or upcharges in relation to the original estimate.

There can be a lot of little details to these projects - there were some aspects which needed some follow up from me, which for me were not the end of the world:
-Scheduling & comms for planning - sometimes tricky, particularly to get the work started after the deposit, and for final punch list visit as it was a pretty busy point in the summer for them. I wasn't in a rush, so this wasn't a big deal for me, but I know some folks are more sensitive to delayed starts. If someone is relying on quick particular turnaround times, I would suggest explicitly hash out those expectations while setting up the contract scope.
-Clean up - The team uses drop cloths and was picking up debris each day, but I did periodically find random cuttings, nails and small bits of old debris in the yard and driveway.
-Painting - this felt a bit rushed, and initially missed some details. To be fair, early rainy weather hadn't been doing favors for them at the time of my project so I think the painting team was a bit over-extended between projects.

Ultimately, the finished work looks great, the project didn't break the bank and there was no notable or upsetting surprises. I would definitely reach out with them for future projects, and suggest them to friends.

They were tidy and courteous, and even went so far as to uncover all our operable windows at the end of each day so we could ventilate our house. Clean up was quick and thorough, and they readily returned for touch ups well after they received their final payment. An absolute pleasure and I will would with RCE again with no reservations.

Rain city exteriors did a wonderful job in replacing the roof, facia boards and also skylights. I am glad that I choose them over others.

I have Rain City exteriors paint our exterior paint, stain the wood shingles and apply a clear code on our manufactured stones. I changed my scope half way through with new requirements and they were able to work with my new requirements. During the job they arrived timely and leave their job site tidy and clean. They communicated with me daily about their progress and set the expectations. The quality of their work is outstanding and I am very pleased with the end results.

They replaced the roof on my house through my insurance and everything went very well, all came out as planned, they made everything feel smooth during the process from start to finish. Aldo was a great Project manager to work with, he made sure everything was installed properly and all areas of my house were left clean from debris.

Rain City did an incredible job fixing up our roof after a tree incident. Really nice guys and the new roof, fascia and gutters were finished and looking great in no time. Easy to get a hold of when we had questions and responsive, friendly admin.

I called Rain City Exteriors to investigate water damage to my ceiling/a suspected leak in the roof. I called on Thursday, and Luis came out Friday at 8:00 am.
Luis pointed out some places the water could be getting in and suggested sending a handyman out after rain to investigate more and make repairs.
Later that morning Rain City Exteriors followed up with a quote for their handyman service and scheduled him to come in four days.
When Nick came out Tuesday morning, he suggested removing some flushing and siding, and I agreed. After removing the flushing, Nick found a hole where the wood was wet and told me that is where the water is getting in. He removed the siding to check for damage underneath and found the plywood was wet but not damaged. He replaced a small piece of plywood and replaced the siding and the flushing and sealed everything. He’s coming back tomorrow to finish painting the siding.

Very pleased with work done. A modest siding repair and some framing / flashing to address moisture ingress. Only negative is that I have still not received a cost estimate for a paint job that I want to consider for Spring. I put that down to overall slowness in Winter.

We've now used Rain City Exteriors to reside two houses in Seattle. They did a fantastic job siding and painting our little 1896 Craftsman bungalow. When they quoted they were among a very short list of companies that actually talked about doing it the right way, and they followed through on that promise. Also they worked with us to come up with some "custom" window trim pieces out of Hardie which looked great. They were good enough that on our second home I didn't even ask anyone else - just got ahold of Guillermo (who is extremely nice and helpful) for the quote. Jose and his team worked closely with our roofing guys to coordinate the install of the siding alongside a metal roof - not an easy task. They created exactly the siding solution we were looking for based entirely off a napkin sketch. The only hiccup we had was that they forgot to install venting in the soffits, but they quickly came back and got that straight without complaint. I would definitely recommend these guys!

Jose and the entire crew at Rain City Exteriors did a great job replacing my leaky roof. When there was rain coming a few days before my scheduled start date, they sent a crew over to install a huge tarp and cover the leak completely. Miguel and Juan, who did the installation, used high-quality materials including wide flashing and gutter sheathing, and also took pictures of areas where wood had rotted underneath and was removed. Every afternoon, another crew came to clear away debris, since my yard isn't big enough for a dumpster. Afterwards, Diego did repairs to the house exterior that looked great, for a reasonable fee. The whole process was well-communicated and done with a lot of attention to detail.

I have worked with Rain City for several years with a complete redo of my roof and siding. I also use them as needed for repairs from branch damage. They are reliable, easy to work with, flexible, and they treat us with respect.

They replaced the siding of my chimney that was damaged by a woodpecker. The siding after the replacement looks exactly like before and matches the other part of the house! They did a really good job!

Rain city replaced and painted all of the siding on our home, including replacing the windows. The pricing was very competitive and the professionalism and follow up was the best I’ve ever encountered. This is the only review I’ve given in 80years but they deserve your consideration.

Rain City did a wonderful job restoring our home's exterior, which had rotted in many places due to the poor quality paint selected by the previous owner. After bidding the project substantially lower than several competitors, they moved quickly to address the issues requiring carpentry repair and made things right when we pointed out places that needed reworking to stay consistent with our house's design elsewhere. They followed through on their promise to put us early in the schedule when the warmer and drier season arrived and did a great job with the painting work, drawing unsolicited compliments from our next-door neighbor. When a staining project became unexpectedly complicated, they spent an enormous amount of time and effort trying to fix things, which I appreciated. While scheduling and communication is not their strongest area, their work was high quality and a great value and they always sought to correct any issues that cropped up. I expect to hire them again to maintain the exterior paint (but will probably seek a specialist next time we have a tricky restoration issue, like we discovered with the sun-damaged cedar of our custom deck).

Old exterior LP siding replaced in places & entire home painted. We are very happy with our finished siding & exterior. Would recommend as they were recommended to us.

We own an older home which needed more than just a coat of paint. Everything was done beyond my expectations. Thick paint, well masked, no overspray. The quality is excellent. They were on time every day. and worked hard the entire day. They were very patient in working through issues during the project. I would highly recommend for any exterior project.

Rain City replaced some old siding on our house. The work was very shoddy and unprofessional. They were great about trying to fix the problems, but in the end the work was still not up to expectations. I cut my losses and found another contractor to redo it. Would not recommend.

Jose and his crew were quick and very effective. They replaced the siding, some of the roof sheathing and a gutter on a dormer window on our house. They told us what was going on each step of the way and gave us updates on the quote when we discovered some issues that were going to cost more to fix.
