James came by my house in Lake Charles to give estimate and I can truthfully say that he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. What an asset they have in James. I took their bid and look forward to having them replace my roof!

I know this is lengthy but I feel you need to read the entire circumstances surrounding how and why we hired Preaux Roofing. I recently had some damage to some fascia in the front of our house along with needing a new roof. My father is a builder however lives in Michigan so he couldn't help but gave us some idea on how much it should cost to fix the fascia damage seeing it was not covered by insurance. We had a few different companies come out and give us estimates and we were told things like, "it will take as long to fix the fascia as it will to replace the roof", another company "you are looking at $3,000 for the fascia and this price is only good if we do this job next week because we have a spot I need to fill. If it was Spring I wouldn't even touch this job". Mind you they all spoke with my dad and knew he was a builder but right then they were dealing with a woman who they figured knew nothing. When I reminded them it was my father they originally spoke to they started back peddling and changing what they said. Then James fromPreaux Roofing came out; and what a difference!! My father estimated the fascia repair to be around $600-$800; James looked at everything as well as the paperwork from the insurance company ...BTW all the others looked at the papers from the insurance and quoted me the amount the insurance paid plus my deductible plus up to $3,000 for the fascia repair....and he quoted me a little under what the insurance paid and only $500-$600 for the fascia repair and we didn't have to come out if pocket for the deductible AND we received upgraded shingles from what was on the roof!! James was so helpful even with picking out a color of shingle! When the crew showed up to work they were such professional, pleasant & ver polite people who worked hard from sunrise to sunset. Because of how step the roof is it took a day and a half to complete and even my dad said it would take two days so I expected that. When they left on day 1 they had everything cleaned up and when they were complete they made sure to clean everything up, no nails, shingles or mess left anywhere! I will be hiring them to put gutters up as soon as I can afford it. It takes a lot for me to recommend a contractor but I HIGHLY recommend Preaux Roofing!! My husband is a truck driver and not only did I feel comfortable with him not being home during the repair; but he felt comfortable leaving me here alone. I pray God blesses this company 10 fold because they are a company with integrity and put pride in the work they do!! I called these guys with a leak they got to me very fast did a great job on stopping the leak i would definitely recommend and will be using again in the future!
