We recently completed 2 projects with this company. They are responsive, on time and very professional. During the construction of our latest project James sent us a photo every day of the progress. It was veey comforting, given that we are four hours away.
We cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had Poplin Construction build our original, beautiful dock four years ago. We decided recently we would like to extend it and of course we reached out to them. James Poplin came out to our place to discuss the extension, drew out perfectly what we envisioned, provided us a bid, and started the permitting process. They were very communicative and professional, and our incredible dock extension was completed this week! Thank you James and team! We absolutely love it.

Tommy and his family crew is simply awesome at their job. They installed my dock as fast as they were able with permits etc. and constructed a fantastic dock in my waterfront backyard which my happy boat is now moored too. Best builders in town in my opinion. As a real estate professional myself, I've sold quite a few of their homes they built and they are built better than most in Ocean Shores. I recommend them always to my clients who bought waterfront homes seeking to get a dock constructed on their property . Great people and great workers. Look no further.

Poplin Construction is very professional and trustworthy. Poplin Senior is a man of honor and Poplin Construction is the go-to business for all of your carpentry needs. It's the only construction outfit I trust in Grays Harbor.

Same issue as the other post, Tommy came out gave us a quote, we said ok, he was going back to the office to write up the formal bid and never came back ??. Called and left six messages and no return call back. Very unprofessional. If after reviewing his bid if he determined he was to busy or not a unprofitable enough job he could have just given us a call back. The only thing we are grateful about is we didn't give him a deposit. That may have gone MIA just like him. Very sad as he was recommended to us by another contractor.

Had Tommy come out to give me a bid on replacing my front door. After delivering the bid, he just never returned my calls. He knew the urgency of the situation, but just decided that I wasn't even worth a phone call, and went MIA. I feel that if you don't want to take a job, it's perfectly acceptable to say so, however, whats not acceptable is leaving a desperate customer hanging. Very unprofessional

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
