I purchased an 8x16 Palram Canopia Prestige 2 Greenhouse in the fall of 2023 through Wayfair, Poly-Tex was the reseller of the greenhouse. I only found this out recently when attempting to go through a warranty claim after the greenhouse collapsed following a relatively mild snowstorm here in New England. I was told that weather related events are not covered under warranty which is quite surprising to me considered that a greenhouse is made to protect other things from weather. I paid over $5,000 for this greenhouse and it folded under 6" of snow. I wish that it had been advertised appropriately so that I would've known that it wasn't suitable in an environment that experiences cold weather and precipitation. I'm not sure where to go from here but I just wanted other people to be aware.
Horrible customer service. The cheap plastic door handle snapped due to some winds. I was told that if I wanted the part to be replaced under warranty I would have to play weather man and determine the wind speeds that day. Also if I just wanted to purchase the kit it was only 11.00 dollars. Here's the kicker they then charge a 25 dollar labor fee and then shipping which brings the total to 55 dollars. Not worth it. So I guess I will fashion my own that will last the lifetime of the greenhouse and hold up to winds.
Solid, honest, reliable, helpful company. I can’t say enough good things about Poly-Tex. I built a 78’x20’ high tunnel using a mixture of new parts and old parts I had stored in my barn for 20+ years. Kellie Miller worked with me for hours to figure out the parts I needed to complete the project.
My farm will use this high tunnel for over-wintering our egg layers, housing pigs during the muddy season, and of course season extension for our garden when our animals are out on pasture.
