Polli's team remodeled a bathroom for us. We were very happy with the process and with the results. Highly recommended.

The work was fairly extensive, more complicated than originally contemplated. Throughout, each and every worker was thoughtful, on task, attentive to detail, making a near miracle happen… while also being new friends for my rescue dog! They basically rebuilt a wall while also replacing severely degraded windows, and also tending to new woodwork for the interior. Please see the pictures… beautiful.

Not only did they save our house from collapsing, their crew did it with a level of professionalism, personality, and quality that is rare these days! From impeccable carpentry skills to superior cleanup of the job site day in and day out. They come highly-rated in our mind, and a pure joy to work with.

Polli construction can get any job done from start to finish. Construction, rot, painting, and window cleaning. As well as any “honey do list” that just isn’t being crossed off. Very professional and work warranted. Would recommend to anyone that’s looking for quality.

We called polli to look at and quite a repair or replacement of a roof skylight. They looked at the issue and gave a quote of almost $12,000. Since the standard for a skylight replacement is about $2,500 — the skylight itself is about $600 — we obviously did not hire them. I’d be very careful
If considering them for any home repair work. We are having the unit replaced by another company for $2,200

Our experience with Polli has been very frustrating, as we believe we were misled and substantially overcharged for work on our roof, while also having a poor experience with follow-up communications. Polli estimated in the $2,000 to $3,000 range for inspection and repair of our cedar roof, however they recently invoiced us over $9,400, while performing a small fraction of the work we expected. We have asked for clarification on why their labor was well beyond their estimate but we received no response. We were also invoiced for materials well beyond what they actually used, which also included a 50% markup.

I recommend avoiding Polli Construction at all costs!

** Edit: Polli reached out to rectify our situation and agreed they did not “set us up for success” and there was a miscommunication issue in their side. We settled on a reasonable invoice amount and closed out the issue.

We highly recommend Polli Construction. They have successfully completed a variety of home repair/improvement projects for us over the years. The most recent one turned out to be far more complex than any of us imagined but they persisted, brought in the needed expertise and machinery, and got the job done, leaving the site perfectly neat and buttoned up.

We have used Polli a few times for relatively small jobs. The people have all been first rate and good to work with.

I picked Polli construction 2023 again for a large project in my home, after bath room remodels in 2021 and 2022. This time the project was a complete kitchen remodel. I worked with them from the planning and design to performing all the work. All their people and especially their customer advocate David DuPrat were great to work with.

Polli replaced the roof on my home. They arrived on schedule. They cleaned up well. A minor problem occurred after and they came back to make that small repair.
I was pleased with their professionalism and would use them again in the future.

I will start off by saying we've had no actual work done by Polli, only estimates. It took a few tries to get an estimator to respond, but the front desk was very friendly and apologetic. Once the estimator reached out they were professional and fast, however, we asked for a quote for a window....ONE window. We didn't want any fancy windows, just something new and simple. We received a quote for over $6,400. I knew that sounded high, so I contacted a few contractors and they said that was a complete rip off. They couldn't believe the price I was quoted. I even called another local company up here and they were shocked by that estimate. I will probably never go back to Polli because I can't trust their pricing and I know what a fair market value is vs a complete rip off.

The Polli crew maintained an outstanding professional demeanor throughout the renovation of my kitchen and dining room. Although I had a rough floor plan of my ideas, they spent a good deal of time helping to flesh them out into a realizable design. My project included a new alcove, over basement stairs requiring framing and buttressing, all of which was accomplished perfectly. Closets were built, floors were laid, walls were painted and new countertops installed. An electrical sub-panel and additional wiring was routed. New railings and banisters were installed. Prior to painting, water infiltration was discovered surrounding a window, and Polli rebuilt the wall from the outside in. Throughout the project, Polli employees quickly responded to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Polli for major projects and plan to employ them to renovate my master bathroom in the future.

Polli came to replace rotten and damaged Fascia board across the entirety of the house. They were able to color match perfectly! The crew was professional, courteous, and efficient. They took time to ensure that all my questions were answered and that I understood each step of what they were doing.

We had Polli help replace a section of basement flooring that was water damaged. I had done the removal of the old flooring and they did the install for the replacement area. While I wish we had been put on their list a little faster (after the initial estimate meeting), they were very professional and the process was pretty seamless. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism of their crew. Communication was good and most importantly they were timely and did a great job cleaning up after themselves -- something I have not experienced from other mid size to large construction companies. They also did a nice job with "touch up" work like caulking and baseboard trim -- painting was not included in our estimate but they still make it look nice by doing the small things well!

I highly recommend Monica - the designer at Polli. She visited us several times to understand our dreams and also the constraints of our old house. She suggested a few ideas that were absolute game changers in the design concept, and the end result is elegant and highly functional.

Covid threw a few wrenches into the project but the POLLI team did exceptional work to get the job done. They were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Having Dave as a client advocate made all the difference. He was there the entire way ensuring the project was on track and met our expectations. The POLLI designer Monica created a unique design plan that we love.

David, please share with the Polli Team that we are happy to have our flower cooler back and in good working order. All of the guys that contributed did a good job and I appreciate their hard work! Polli Construction did a great job with my shower renovation. They are professional and very conscientious. I am very happy with the work they did and would recommend them.

We purchased an older home that we were looking to remodel and make more functional to fit our needs. I worked with Polli's interior designer, and she was wonderful. She listened to me and took the time to understand my style and the vision that I had for my new home. She provided valuable suggestions that helped me understand what would work and what wouldn’t work in the space and then came up with a couple of beautiful designs that left me speechless. I couldn't imagine that my new home could look so great. She is very talented, easy to work with and I would highly recommend her.

After reading the plethora of horror stories about bathroom remodels we decided to contract Polli for our two bathroom remodels of a full and half bath. Because they are insured and professionally vetted. Did we think it was going to be a little more expensive, yes. Because in matters where my beloved home was going to be ripped up for its first major remodel I wanted craftsmanship and experts involved.
And from the moment we met with Sam, our excellent estimator through to the task handed off to the extraordinary Dave DuPrat we have been so grateful for this experience.
AND, the meeting with our estimator was a couple of weeks before the Covid lockdown. Needless to say when we began, when it could begin several months later safety was paramount by these professionals.
For reasons understood, a year later we were finished, honored and completely thrilled with this company having “ our back.”
I get it. Some projects are more difficult and sometimes not all the pieces go well but to know this company had our best interest in mind will never be forgotten by this customer.
The owner being Scottish will understand me when I say, “you all hang the moon.”

UPDATE
Had a leak that was mysteriously annoying. Honoring the warranty they came by 5 times, at no cost, until the issue was detected and abated.
Once again…broad experience, professional craftsmanship. Am grateful for this service.

Hands-down worst experience with with a contactor ever.
We called Polli Construction for a deck estimate. Their professional Estimator made a visit to our home, took measurements, asked questions, all fairly typical. Then he offers ‘design services’ to have sketch of the deck completed that would, as he said, put the deck into perspective. The Estimator quoted my wife and I a firm 2hrs @ $90.00 per hour to sketch a drawing. We discussed the amount and decided to spend the money for what we expected would be a rough draft to help us envision the deck on our home. The Estimators reiterated it would be well worth the $180.00. A couple weeks later, while waiting for the deck estimate to come back, we opened the mail to find a bill from Polli for $855.00!
Our first response was to call the Polli notifying them of the oversight on our bill, that we were provided a concise estimate of $180.00 but were billed for $855.00. I told them that we understand an estimate doesn’t always match perfectly to a bill but a 375% increase over the original estimate couldn’t be right, could we discuss this further? The response from Polli was defensive, saying, if you were expecting a drawing after 2 hours, why didn’t you say something? WHAT?? It was like their quote meant nothing and the conversation with the estimator at our house never happened. And what do we know about constructions drawings?? We were wrong to assume the professional estimator would provide an estimate that was even remotely close to accurate.
Polli claimed design services are a separate part of the company and billed separately. They also went on about the fancy app they use to track their time which was just a way of avoiding the issue. They essentially admitted the estimator shouldn’t have given us that estimate, that someone familiar with design should have, and the consequence was that we would need to pay for their mistake. They literally blamed my wife and I for not questioning their own mistake like we know their company structure and the different responsibilities of one estimator vs. another??
We tried explain there was clearly a miscommunication, you said one thing and billed for another. My wife and I asked to discuss it further and offered a compromise in an attempt to come to an agreement. An attempt at a calm civilized conversation over a billing error turned out to be pointless with this company. They literally yelled at my wife and me. We couldn’t get two words in. It was absolutely crazy trying to communicate like normal human beings with this company. They wouldn’t listen to reason nor would they budge an inch on their billing error. Every cordial attempt to have a common-sense conversation was met with aggression, profanity, and literally threats.
Their Chief of Operations, someone who on their website claims to be a professional, literally used profanity and angerly threatened to ‘hound us relentlessly’ until we paid the inaccurate and grossly inflated invoice. After the call, my wife and I were completely shocked at what was said. What “professional” person threatens customers over a bill and a relatively small one at that?? Seriously? We are feeling bullied and threatened over what would have been resolved by meeting us even halfway which, still would have been more than twice the estimated amount.
Unfortunately, there’s a common thread to the negative Polli’s reviews, overcharging, miscommunicating, no recourse, all things we experienced as well with a bonus of being threatened. I would not wish our experience with this company on anyone and feel terrible for those who have had similar experiences. As others have stated in their reviews, this company leaves no recourse to sort though, explain, or correct any errors on their part. It seems the only recourse available is legal action.

Polli Construction was used by my Townhouse HOA to replace and paint a single trim board on the garage that's damage was my fault. My fiancé offered to fix this as it was a small job as he has a handyman business on the side and the work was easy. This request was denied by the HOA. Polli construction shows up on the scheduled day. Two men were there for not quite an hour for 1 board. They were nice enough to deal with so that was good. They replaced the board and left. A couple days later, the painter shows up and paints the board. 20 minutes worth of work. I work from home, so I was there the whole time the work was done. Weeks later, I get a bill for almost $577!!! Billed for 6.3 hours of work at $65/hour!!! It was an hour and a half at MOST. This was basic handyman work charged at artisan craftsman prices. The work and material should have cost $200 at MOST. There were other concurrent projects going on at the Townhouse complex, so giving the benefit of the doubt, I called to dispute the time thinking the time entry was an error or time from other projects was added to my single board replacement.. They said the price is final. That is dishonest and wrong.

If Polli is the chosen contractor, know that you will be wildly overcharged and with little recourse aside from hiring an attorney. And the cost of that in my case, outweighs the gain unless you can afford principles.

Thank you for the response. As a follow up to your response, we certainly started with the HOA inquiring about the absurd price. They said the only thing we could do was "you need to take it up with Polli Construction as they issued the bill". It's all for not at this point, but the taste left by this experience is extremely bitter. Almost $600 for a single board replacement? There's no justification. None.

EXCELLENT. You get what you pay for. I've hired the Polli affiliates, Sparkle, for windows; and Handyman, for, well, handyman services! All around, fantastic work. Nothing I couldn't do myself, mind you. But never so well, and it's a wise investment.

The Polli Construction team recently restored and repaired a retaining wall by creating more proper drainage from our front lawn, reinforced the wall and repaired the buckled sidewalks. They were fast, efficient, pleasant and got in and out in the time frame they had told us. We are extremely grateful for the quality of the work. And better yet, because they are long-time supporters of our mission, they and their partners donated their services! What a gift! We highly recommend them. Terrific and skilled folks.
