PLATINUM ROOFING

They told my cousin that they have a 15 year warranty. I had my roof replaced by platinum roofing back on April 18 2022. After the May 16 2025 tornado I called platinum roofing 3 times and emailed them with pictures and never got a response back. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE OR COMPANY they are a rip off....

This company installed a roof for my 87 year old mother. A tree limb fell on her roof, no fault of theirs. She called Platinum and they told her they don't repair roofs..they told her to have the insurance man come out to give an estimate on what needs to be done..they were supposed to come out. But never showed up..they basically say they can definitely take your money to put on a roof, but can't fix one. They were trying to give my 87 year old mom the runaround. Please do not use these scam artists! Use a reputable roofing company and save yourself the headache. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The 1 star is too generous.

I cannot say enough about this company. Their level of consistent customer service is so refreshing.

I called yesterday for a quote for a new roof, the young lady took my information and said “ they will email me the information “ I did not receive it. I called today and she stated it would take 10 days and I would have the bud for a new roof . Bad business.

I was hoping to not have to leave a bad review but their workmanship is awful. After having a roof on my parents house for over 15 years and never really having any leaks, we chose to go with a new roof so my elderly father would have no reason to climb up there. My parents were pressured to pay the final amount before I could look over the roof. I spent over a decade in the insurance industry as a HAAG Trained Catastrophe Adjuster where I would look at well over a thousand roofs a year.

I informed the salesman of the poor workmanship and even sent photos as there was no flashing on the chimney as that was included in the bid. They argued and said it was done correctly until they realized I knew what I was talking about. Weeks later they sent someone out who just screwed the flashing into the brick. I knew this wasn’t the correct way as they didn’t cut into the mortar, but they assured me that if there were any leaks during the time of the warranty, they would take care of it. With over a decade of experience with roofers, I knew this was unlikely but was promised they’d take care of it

My parents roof now has leaked more times in the first eight months of having that roof than it has in the previous 15 years with the old roof. The first time they came out, they said the leak was from a bullet on the roof and this week they said it was from the settling of the bricks. The house was tuck pointed very well and even the masonry company pointed out that they could tell the brick was pry’ed out by someone. We now have to pay for the repairs to that, their horrible workmanship around the bricks, and cover the interior leaks. They have refused to cover these expenses. My parents now have to breathe in mold from their workmanship.

I understand these are good claims but we have screenshots that we can share and photos of their work that we will share. We are not asking for anything except for them to cover the damages and repairs they PROMISED in the warranty but keep finding ways to not cover the damages. We are just asking for it to be done CORRECTLY.

So impressed with the courtesy, promptness, and the detailing that went into this job. I referred my mom because they did my roof a year ago. They were good then and they were good now. The prices were reasonable and they were very articulate with what needed to be done.

Very unreliable in professional business to hire. My parents had spent over $21,000 for a roof to be repaired and fixed not only did they not fix it right now. It leaks any brand new $30,000 laundry room and other places. Plus, did not shingle it right. They have received calls and emails from my parents and are failing to call back or fix the problem

This company is the best.They started working on my roof in October 2023. I ran into a few issues and Mr Sims continued to work with and help me My roof and gutters are finally attached and I am very pleased.He is true to his word and I appreciate that. I would suggest this company to anyone in need of a roof. Thank you once again for your assistance.

I am a retired veteran and I have to start by saying this business does an satellite inspection and appraisal on your roof. They upcharge for wood that may not have to be replaced.

Don't fall for it, you can't tell until the old roof is removed. And you should be able to see.

Six workers came to remove and put on a new roof. The language barrier was very poor, they acted as if they understood what I was asking. And just nodded their head. I am very lucky I was home when they came.

1.They tried to install a new roof without removing the old felt. I had to call the owner. And only then did they stop. He tried to make lame excuses for them not completely tearing off the old felt.

2. They were supposed to put new flashing around the chimney. They tried to install new flashing over the old flashing. I had to call the owner again. After about a week, one of the managers came to put on new flashing.

3. They had put on drip edges that was not uniformed and I had to call again. It took about two weeks to get that done. I am still finding nails and old felt in areas around my house. I also noticed that they didn't correctly replace my gutter guards. I did not tell the owner about that. Very tired of contacting because of poor communication pride in workmanship.

Would I recommend this business,

I should have never had to call the owner in the first place if the work was being done correctly and they had better communication.

I have been battling with this company for over 2years on a roof that has been leaking since they have replaced my roof. The leak has ruined my 3rd floor and now they have tried to convince me that the roof was leaking before the did the work. Which is obviously why I called this company out to do the work. Do business with Platinum Roofing at your own risk. Platinum Roofing has no integrity and poor workmanship. They removed flashing during my roof install and did not inform me at the time and did not replace it which caused a leak. Moreover, they lied by stating they informed me of this when it was a home inspector, my home insurance company, and separate contractor that did so after leak appeared. (The cause of the leak was undetermined until I contacted those 3rd parties.) Also, they did not install plumbing vents with enough clearance which could have caused another leak if I hadn’t paid another contractor to correct. Pictures are from post installation and ultimately how Platinum Roofing left my roof after receiving payment.
