PCI roofing was great. Did a fantastic job replacing damaged shingles on our roof. Good pricing and easy to communicate. Highly recommend Azur and his team!
Had some wind damage on my rental property. A friend of mine recommended Rocky and PCI roofing. After contacting Rocky he came right out and walked me through the process.
I was assigned Christian Ugalino as my Project Manager. I can't say enough about Christian. He is a very knowledgeable, conscientious and dedicated professional. He always returned my calls promptly and made sure to keep me up to date with the project.
He used a drone for the initial inspection and later climbed up on the roof to take detailed photos. He presented me with the estimate and start and finish dates. Once the job started He explained every step of the process and was always on site when I stopped by.
The crew discovered dry rot damage in the corner of the garage once the roof was removed. Rocky explained what needed to be done and how long it would take.
I next spoke to Azur about cost and payment. We negotiated the cost with additions of gutters and downspouts and the repair to the dry rot damage to the roof. I felt I was treated fairly and presented with good price.
Rocky, Azur and Christian provided me with superior service and I couldn't be happier with my new roof. I give them and PCI roofing my highest recommendation.
This was my terrible experience with what should have been a small and easy job for PCI Roofing on Oahu. Azur, the owner, quoted me to have a stick-on roof on my 40 ft shipping container. He said the roof will last in 100 mph winds and last 15-20 years for $2,600, which included a 20 year manufacturer warranty for the material and 7 years labor warranty. Somehow the labor warranty dropped to 2 years, and I should have seen the red flag that Azur was already complaining on the phone to me that this job was small and not offering him a big profit margin. Like what sort of business does that when they want your business? Just decline the job if it's too small a margin, don't complain to the customer about your profit margin. So unprofessional. Anyways, the two guys show up at the container one day and we ended up having to screw in plywood (which I supplied along with the stainless screws) and then they were to melt on the material to that. Sounds simple enough to me! The crew didn't have any tools with them, not even a screw gun, which is odd for any contractor, so they used mine and myself as a help/labor, which I offered. They only worked for 1 hour, then slept for one hour. Picture attached. Then they said they had to come back another day for no reason at all. This was frustrating mostly because it was really hard to get them back out to finish the (you would think) small job. Trying to coordinate a new day and time to finish was kind of a nightmare and as it turn out Azur even said "we have another job that's taking too long". This is poor service and unprofessional to prioritize another job and complain to the customer about your other job over mine. The guys finally showed up about a week later and did a terrible job sticking the material on. Picture attached. The day after they left, I saw the seams not down and coming loose and the entire sides around the top of the container not down, they were flapping waiting for wind to take it off. The small roof was supposed to withstand 100 mph winds and couldn't handle 10 mph wind a day later. I texted Azur videos and pictures and shared my frustration in a nice way. I had to use my map gas torch to go around myself to melt the material on my container, myself. They spilled tar sealant stuff on the side of my container and never cleaned it up despite me requesting them to. I texted my complaints to Azur and he 1. Didn't apologize at all 2. Expected me to pay full price and for me to take the hit, not him 3. Revoked my warranty because I had to fix their terrible worksmanship to save my roof from coming apart, 4. complained to me again about him "losing money on this job". Like what dude?! 5. Was threratening legal action for me to pay him his $2000 after one month. I mailed him his check with a fart inside. This company sucks, yall.
