Paul Sharon (PAS Construction) did an incredible job on our home in Brunswick. Paul came up with multiple ideas that helped us build this beautiful home. Any new construction has the occasional hiccups but Paul had taken care of all issues as they came up. The craftsmanship was without equal. We’ve been in our home for almost three years and it still remains a solidly constructed home. I would recommend PAS Construction without reservation. Five stars from us.

Paul and his team build truly fantastic homes! We first connected with Paul in February 2021. He partnered with us over 2 months to allow us to get the plans to include so many unique features that fit our family but still fit in our tight budget. He was willing to be very flexible while also telling us how our decisions would impact budget. His team broke ground in April and we moved in 6 months later. We’ve now been in our home for over two years and it has truly felt like home. No major issues (structure, framing, insulation, etc) of any kind and the few minor issues that arose (landscaping issue, replace interior door, etc) Paul ensured the issues were fixed and didn’t just sell the home and walk away.

I’m extremely thankful for Paul and his team and our home and would recommend him to build your home as well.

I feel very fortunate to have found Paul Sharon and PAS Construction’s development on Beacon Dr when I was looking for a home in Brunswick. From the beginning, Paul was easy to work with. He helped me modify the house’s footprint, lot grade and room orientation to meet my needs, and he gave me options so I could stay within my budget. Paul offered suggestions all through the design and build process while constantly telling me to build the house I wanted. One suggestion that I am so happy I adopted, after some reluctance, was to put two doorways in the bedroom-turned-office after I moved the closet outside of the room. I love the flow of the house that it created. Paul takes a lot of pride in his work, and it shows in the quality of the building materials and systems he uses and his willingness to make it right. When blips occurred (e.g. wrong color of paint on the trim, bathroom tile design laid incorrectly), Paul made it right, no questions asked. When I had an issue 2+ years after moving in and asked Paul for guidance, he came and assessed the situation, took ownership of it and fixed it.
No build process or finished house is perfect, but I can’t imagine having a better partner in the endeavor than Paul. I love my house, and I appreciate my relationship with the builder.

Building a new home is an exciting process packed with myriad details at every step. Paul was always reachable to answer questions or offer advice. This is especially important when you are building from out of state as we were. Step by step we had decisions and choices to make, and PAS' process made it easy for us to complete these on time and sequentially. Paul made himself available when we came into town for a walk-through and consultation. He even prevailed upon (now) neighbors to walk us through their new homes, look at craftsmanship, and ask questions about PAS and its subs. I am convinced that every home construction will have some glitches: materials are wrong; subs have conflicts resulting in timing disruptions; and simple human error. The important part is Paul and PAS will see that the glitch is corrected. Our home is beautiful, functional, and energy efficient with both heat pumps and solar panels.Luck can also play a role: we had a perfect day for pouring concrete for the foundation and laying asphalt for the driveway, but it poured shortly after topsoil and grass seed were added, but Paul saw to it that it was corrected nicely. Paul and his finish carpenter, Brian, were always open to any customizing ideas we had, and they made them happen easily. Even now, after more than a year of living in our home, Paul will stop by to answer questions or correct a minor flaw. Eileen and I are delighted with our home and appreciated Paul's advice and help.

PAS Construction did extensive outside repair work for our house. Paul was a great communicator and the work was done in a timely manner. The carpenter that did the repairs was great and we are pleased with the results.

Paul built our home in 2021. He was responsive and easy to work with. Helping and guiding us along the way as we made finish choices and other decisions. His crew was terrific, and worked their hardest to ensure we were in our new home with our two young children before Christmas. We love our home, we have been in it for 2 years now and the one time we had an issue that was not related to original construction, but a bad weather storm, we wrote to Paul and he came right over to support us. No questions asked and had his crew onsite to resolve the problem the very next day. It's been a pleasure working with Paul and his crew. We are so happy with our new home and have found the rest of our neighbors within our development who have used the same builder to be just as pleased. The quality of workmanship is excellent and the crew does what they need to recover from hiccups along the way, because building a home does not happen without a hiccup or two!

Paul, (and PAS) was the perfect match for my wife and I when we had him build our house in Brunswick in 2021. Five stars was easy to give. Here are some reasons. Schedule: Things didn't always go as planned, but we were in our house in under 6 months from breaking ground.
Crew: We got to know the framing crew, who have been with Paul for years. He must pay them well and they always have work; it's a win win win situation. The finish carpenter is an artist and a super nice guy.
Creativity: There were so many ideas that Paul shared that we hadn't thought of - and made so much sense. For example, adding French doors between the entrance and living room was perfect. After getting to know each other, he knew we didn't need a extra extra large master bedroom, so he suggested adding extra closets. PERFECT. When our wood floor supplier had serious last-minute supply problems, Paul did some searching for local sources and we got a floor we liked even better, and we stayed on schedule. We wanted one bedroom to be an office, so he built shelves in the closet.
Efficiency: We have heat pumps to provide all our heat and a/c. We've had temps below zero and pushing 100. We've always been comfortable. The house is seriously insulated and the basement is bone dry.
Creativity: Paul was always available to discuss the project and listened to our thoughts and worked with OUR interests in mind. When we discussed options, he always said, "I'll build whatever you want," and "Here are some options."

Very positive experience. I have worked with PAS in the past on a major remodel and now (2022) a new house in a neighborhood developed by PAS. The ideas from PAS during design phase were extremely helpful. There was great communication during construction (no surprise delays or "where are they today?" issues) and changes were easily managed as we expanded scope during construction. Costs were well controlled and there were no surprises. The suncontractors were excellent, especially the crew that performed framing, roofing, siding, finish flooring and painting (all one sub) and the finish sub and electricians. Note that the city inspector, planning office and real estate people all speak highly of PAS. The final costs was reasonable and PAS found certain bargains where the savings were passed along.

Maine really should require licenses for general contractors. It’s super easy for someone from another state with a bad reputation (so many bad reviews) to set up an llc in Maine hire a couple employees then contract out all the work with whoever is available and cheapest. That’s probably why there are some good reviews in the mostly bad. It’s entirely dependent on who he hires to contract with (based on who is available). Rude man, arrogant, and based on reviews doesn’t ensure the quality of the work. If everything is contracted out with local workers you may as well just go directly to those people and save yourself the middle man. Better yet, find an actually local company who has earned a good reputation.

Terrible experience using PAS Construction to build our dream home. New construction left us with a septic system not within code, electrical not up to code with exposed electrical boxes, plumbing not to code with open pipes that led to leaking, six frozen plumbing feed pipes, missing insulation, leaky gutters, missing trim, broken decking, deck only supported by lag bolts and not actual lumber structure, leaky exterior doors that were never adjusted, poor fit and finish, missing trim… the list goes on and on. We had to pay a fortune to rectify all of PAS’s construction issues. To say we regret hiring PAS construction is an understatement. Our experience with PAS Was nothing short of Poor And Shoddy. Do yourself a favor and hire a more reputable contractor that has an iota of professionalism and integrity.
