Well, there's no two ways around it. This home inspector is a bona fide 'House Whisperer.' We have been the fortunate recipients of his invaluable hunches multiple times now. Very happy to have him in our corner. Tim seems to be someone with the uncanny ability to sense when something "just doesn't look right." He has multiple decades of experience and is obviously very skilled, but it's more than that. That sort of next-level knowing, along with the willingness to go the extra mile to investigate it, is just pure instinct. You either have it or you don't.

It's frustrating to have to walk away from a home purchase due to inspection findings. But I'll take frustration over the issues he's uncovered for us any day. Tim and his protégé Ryan have been really great to work with and we certainly recommend their super-high caliber services to anyone in our situation. There is no overstatement in saying that he and his company are an integral piece of this process for us, ensuring that we end up with a happy relocation, rather than an unexpected list of new home problems to deal with.

Tim's exceptionally thorough home inspections have saved us untold effort and expense. I told him he saved my bacon and I meant it. Beyond appreciated. I wouldn't buy a home without him.

You are in good hands with Tim and Pacific Inspection Services LLC. Our realtor connected us with Tim to perform a home inspection. Tim was responsive and flexible, agreeing to perform the inspection on a national holiday so we could make the long drive to be there. Tim was thorough, willing to answer questions, pointed out critical issues and allowed us to be a shadow while he performed the inspection. Icing on the cake, he provided the report the same day! I wish he had performed the inspection on the previous home we purchased!

We contacted Pacific Inspection Services for a home inspection. Not only was the inspector (Tim Halpin) very thorough, professional, and time efficient, he also provided plenty of useful information for a first time home buyer like myself. The service was overall excellent, fast, and fairly priced. Thanks again!

Tim inspected two houses for us as prospective buyers in the Port Townsend area. He was prompt, professional, and friendly, chatting about what he saw as I tagged along with him. Tim found several issues that I did not see or know about, including a structural problem that killed the deal on the first house. I was interested in the additional service he offers of infrared imaging, but he explained the morning was too warm for it to work effectively. So we have delayed that, but he said he would still give me the same lower price as if it were bundled in with the inspection. All around a good experience.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
