Otero Brothers did an amazing job on the gutters for our new home. I reached out by email and they responded quickly, offering a free estimate. Xavier came out, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on his face. The estimate was clear and fair, and we moved forward right away.

They installed seamless gutters with leaf guards while we were at work, respected our space, and made sure everything matched our home perfectly, including the grout and gutter color. From start to finish, the whole process was smooth, professional, and easy. We’re so grateful for their help and highly recommend them!

What a pleasant experience!!! We called Otero to ask if somone could come look at tiles that had come lose and were slipping of the inclined roof, dangerously close to crashing down into the entryway courtyard of our home. Xavier came out within a day or two, took a look at that concern and the rest of the roof and said Otero would take care of the loose tiles free of charge.

A crew was at our home within 3 days to repair those tiles and found several others that were loose. They asked before repairing, then repaired those too. All free of charge!!!

After having four roof estimates, I settled on Otero Brothers Roofing. Not only are they a family owned business passed down through several generations from grandfather to father and sons, they live here in Albuquerque. One of the other roofing businesses even said they were a reputable company.

I would never recommend this contractor to anyone, especially families or women. Every single one of his employees I’ve encountered has acted inappropriately — staring, making women uncomfortable, and treating public places like gas stations as their personal hangouts. It was disturbing to see one of them even attempt to get too close to a young girl at the Shell station. Completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly dangerous behavior. Avoid at all costs

I had some shingles blow off during a wind storm and a friend recommended Otero Brothers Roofing. They assessed that the roof could be easily repaired but I decided to go with a whole roof replacement and switch to metal along with gutters. Everything now drains like it should, there are no leaks, and no more shingles blowing off during high winds. Xavier checked in often during the project and answered all my questions along the way. They went over all the details with me, down to how and where the gutters would drain. There were no surprises and I was kept updated all along the way. They were even nice enough to paint my old chimney stack to match the new roof.

I had some issues with my roof that is only 2.5 years old. It came at a bad time because I am trying to sell the house. I called Otero Brothers roofing and realizing my dilemma they came out quickly and fixed the problem . I was impressed and will definitely call Otero whenever I need roofing replacement or repair.

Otero Brothers was efficient and professional . The wait time to schedule my project was under one week. The team went above and beyond to address roofing issues caused by an HVAC company.

We called Otero Brothers for an estimate on gutters. They set up an appointment for us for the following month, then they rescheduled the appointment to a closer date because there had been a cancellation. We waited all day, but no one showed up and they didn't even call us. My husband called them the following Monday and Sarah, the girl who answered, apologized. She gave us a new appointment to which Patrick showed up and gave us an estimate. He said they would contact us to set up a date when they could come out and do the work, but first we needed to sign a contract and pay a deposit. The paperwork was to be completed on-line. After experiencing some difficulty with their website, my husband called Sarah and she said someone would bring the paperwork to us on Friday. On Friday they called us to say that they would come out the following Monday instead. We decided to go with another company who is more reliable, and shows up when they say they will. I don't recommend Otero Brothers.

Before contacting this company, I suggest you read the reviews on Yelp. Wish I had -- they are far more comprehensive then what appears on Google. We experienced roof damage during a recent thunderstorm and were referred to Otero Brothers. We had to wait three weeks for someone to come out to estimate the cost of repair. When their rep, "Matthew" arrived, he surveyed the damage, said we had a choice between two reasonably easy fixes, and said he'd provide us with a quote that day as our insurance company was waiting for it. That was the last we heard from Matthew. Days later, we called the office asking for the quote and were told that Matthew would get back to us. Again, no return call. For two weeks thereafter we left messages at the office but received no estimate and no return call. Finally, we contacted the office, explained our situation (again) and asked to speak with the owner. We were told there were two owners and assured that one would get back to us. You can guess the rest - no estimate, no return call. Now we must start at square one again with another, hopefully reputable, company. How Otero Brothers stays in business is beyond me. l strongly encourage you not to waste your time with this company, as we did, and look elsewhere for your roof repair.

Change the name from Otero and sons and it's still the same conpany. This is the problem with NM LLC law. Change the name slightly and don't have to honor the millions of dollars in warranty you gave as ottero and sons. Once you pay them your warranty last as long as the name on the contract. Chris and Larence the owners don't have your best interest in mind. Look to a local company with 10-20 years under the same name. All roofing companies do the name switch when faced with many law suits. Look for the long term winners and pay just a little more to get a quality warranty and product. They are scammers.

Otero Brothers Roofing is a great company. They re-roofed my house and it is beautiful. All work was completed on time and professionally. Several of my neighbors have used Otero Brothers and they've all had good things to say about them. Thank you Otero Brothers for your excellent work and my beautiful roof.

Matthew at Otero Brothers was a huge help to us. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous. He made replacing my roof stress free. Everything looks great and it was a seamless process. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an expert in all things roofing.

I highly recommend Otero Brothers Roofing. I had an old tar and gravel roof with complex areas (circular and square) and multiple canales for drainage. I priced work with 5 roofing companies and Otero was the most affordable and they did an excellent job. Professional roofers and very organized. I got answers to questions immediately. Roofing crew was hard working and dedicated (worked late when needed). Customer service communications were also great. Definitely choose Otero Brothers.

We used Otero Brothers Roofing for a complicated commercial re-roof project. There was a last-minute change from our structural engineer on the placement of new RTUs, and Otero was nimble with our schedule and worked around our mechanical crew while the new flashings and curbs were being installed. Superior communication from leadership and dependable workforce. It is refreshing to have a contractor provide daily progress updates including what time the crew will be arriving. They kept the jobsite clean and provided quality workmanship.

I appreciated their communications with the timing of the project and when to expect the job to be done. Excellent work, my roof is beautiful!!!

My roof was falling apart, I did not know what to do? Thank Goodness for the Professionals , THE OTERO BROTHERS ROOFING!!!!! THEY ARE EXCELLENT !!! My roof came out wonderful. They walked me thru the whole process. Every question I had was not to big or even small. David was there every step of the way. I had a BAD experience on my Floors from another company....and I was somewhat scared to trust anyone. But, Otero Brothers Came thru for me! I recommend them HIGHLY. So efficient and quick .

I contacted Otero Brothers for an estimate to replace my roof after losing a lot of shingles due to a bad storm. The woman I spoke to was very helpful and set an appointment right away. David Crespin was sent out to give me what I felt was a fair estimate. He was friendly and answered all my questions. He recommended a particular type of shingle that would be best for the "wind tunnel" my house seems to be in. They scheduled me quickly after sending late night panicked emails because I had leaks after yet another storm. The men that showed up to do the roof were friendly and did a beautiful job. I appreciated having a licensed plumber dealing with the disconnect/reconnect of my cooler. He was also very nice. I am very happy with the way my roof looks, the quality of service and product, and feeling prepared for the coming monsoon season.[

I have trusted Otero Roofing with my house and recommended them to friends and family. I met Lawrence Sr. many years ago and was impressed with his integrity and attention to details. This work ethic has passed on down the line and their work continues to be excellent. From my initial interactions with David for the most recent job and follow-ups to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction I could not be more pleased.

Great experience with this family run business. Cost was lower than other estimates and the service was top notch. The work was completed in a couple days and the roofers took care to protect landscaping and cleaned up well afterwards. The new roof looks really nice too. All the staff and workers I interacted with were wonderful and I'd recommend this company for your roofing needs.

I recently had a TPO roofing product applied to my patio/porch which consisted of approximately 200 sq. ft.
My initial contact with the sales person was pleasant. Once I agreed to have the job done, that's when things started to become questionable. A new roll of TPO was delivered to my home along with all the solvents, etc. when the crew arrived, the surface was prepped, using a product from the crews trailer, not the new one that arrived earlier. What was very dishonest and nefarious, was when the actual TPO was layed down. The crew chief retrieved remnants that were left over from previous jobs and used that on my roof. It was totally my mistake in refusing to continue with the job at that point. The job was sloppy and evident that this type of roofing is not something they have yet to master. My advice would be to go to a more reputable business, read reviews and be your own advocate.
Watch carefully what's being used and how it's being done, from start to finish.
Sometimes it pays to go outside your community to get a better result. Lesson learned!!

We had a great experience with Otero Brothers Roofing. They did a great job on our new TPO roof. They also worked with us to install new gutters, complete some stucco repairs and even helped to find someone for installing a french drain - doing their best to ensure there would be no issues after the new roof and stucco repair. The person we worked with - David was very responsive and was in constant communication if we had questions or needed something clarified. I would definitely recommend Otero Brothers to anyone. Their customer service and quality of work were outstanding.

We enjoyed working with Otero on our TPO roofing project, we got four other quotes and Otero beat them all by thousands. The guys came out on time each day did the job and were done in 2 1/2 days. We’re would recommend them.

almost three weeks ago Otero Brother installed gutter throughout my house, it is something I had always wanted to do for a long time, when I saw them in my neighborhood doing a roof inspection ,I asked Joseph and Mathew if they could give me a quote for gutter throughout my entire two-story house, they were very kind and polite , and they did without prior appointment
Their prices were very affordable. After thinking about it for a week, I called them and told them I was ready to move forward with the project and I got an appointment in just few days for the installation , work team came and they were very responsible and did an excellent job, They didn't leave until they finished work even thought it was already after 8 pm, I can say it was a very clan job

They didn’t show up when they said they would for a quote, then they showed up later without an apology. They said they would look at the roof on Google Earth and that was it- no discussion of types of shingles, using a drone, or going up to inspect the roof. They said I would get a quote that evening, but 24 hrs later, nothing!

I’m pushing 80 . I grew up in bone grinding poverty on a cotton farm near Trinity , Alabama.

On my last birthday, the wife , a retired operating room nurse, took away two things. My shotgun. And my ladder . She said it was for public safety. Could have been worse. She could have banned me from the disco on free tequila night.

Troubles rained down on our roof. I called 911. Nice Lady , with outstanding English grammar, Raquel Otero of Otero Brothers answered the phone. She referred me to Mr Lawrence Otero. Mr Otero dispatched his son Matthew and nephew Joseph. I was soon under contract at a fair price.

I’ve been on a thousand roofs. Often working alone on my own real estate investments. Because it is so difficult in any economy to get reliable help.

I’m just a new customer with a small job. But Otero Brothers was amazing. They showed up ahead of schedule. They were tough men. Good guys. Highly skilled. Well equipped. Prepared for battle.

..The scope of the roof work here was three part. We finished the 3rd part last week when good guy Mr Matthew Otero dispatched experts Jesus , Alphonso , and an excellent crew.

We hired reputable Otero Brothers because of the shameful, fraudulent, poor quality roof sold to us by a lying national new home builder.

Do new home builders hire meth heads to design roofs ? The design of our roof could be on the cover of Persistent Leak Magazine or Country Club for Pigeons Digest.

Hey man ! Just give us a dry home. A few pigeon spikes. And cut out the cheap materials and jive.

Our over priced slum developer offered us 2 types of roofs. One new roof would leak the day you moved in ; because no one tested it prior. The other style roof had a time release mechanism. It would begin leaking in your bedroom on your next Anniversary.

All at no extra charge.

Yea ! Today it rained sideways for the first time since Otero Brothers’ crew performed surgery on the concrete tiles. No leaks on this complicated roofline. Fingers crossed ! Anything can happen .

Everyone was professional and courteous, from office staff, Raquel, who made my initial appointment to Matthew Otero who performed a pre and post inspection and Selvin who performed the repairs. Never having owned a home with a cement roof, I was educated on maintenance which should insure that my home's roof will last for many years. Thanks team!!

Otero Brothers are Awesome!! The cost for a new roof was much lower than others which was so wonderful!! Matthew Otero was very responsive and helped me so much through the whole process!! The workers were so great and cleaned up beautifully after. I would highly recommend Otero Brothers and my roof is gorgeous!!

Otero Brothers roofing was amazing. There estimate for a new roof was 20 percent less than the other 2 estimates I received. After my insurance company stated they did not see roof damage, Matthew Otero worked closely with the second assessor taking time to meet him on a Sunday. After this meeting my insurance finally acknowledged the hail damage and paid for the roof. The workers were on time and very courteous. After each extremely long day the workers cleaned up around the house immaculately. The roof looks great!

We just used Otero Brothers for our roof. They were very professional, courteous and fairly priced. The quality of their work was exceptional and we will be recommending them to anyone that needs a roof.

Update (6/29/2024): The roof is leaking like crazy! This is insane! Blaming someone else to make it look like you guys are a professional company? Thank you for now causing me to spend thousands of dollars to fix this 2020 house. I have fixed the roof twice so far, and every company that came said that the roof was not installed properly. Because this leakage is from a different spot. Thanks again for causing all this damage to my house!

Update (2/29/2024): More shingles have been flying away by the wind. This is the worst roof job I have ever seen. You guys have my phone number and if you were interested in fixing this, you could have simply reached out.

Original review: Very bad installation, shingles blew off with wind, not only my roof, most of the neighbors’ roofs that they installed. They don’t get back to you, they simply don’t care or bother to return your calls. Stay away from this roofing company if you want a decent roof.
