I got the LG dual inverter installed in my two main living areas. They are wonderful! We keep ours set at 70 degrees. It is 91 outside right now and my house has never felt so cool. They are also very quiet which is nice since it is in my television room. The Ortega installation team was great. They were very professional, and the installation is very clean and tidy looking on the exterior as well as the interior. We are very pleased. I would definitely recommend this company if you’re looking for mini splits.

The tech was in my house for 2 minutes. He was out in his truck for 45 minutes trying to figure out a quote. Over $600 to move the gas line 6 in down. Initially told me it might be over $1,200 cuz he had no idea how many gas lines were in the house. I would say you'd be better off to call an ordinary plumber. This guy didn't know what he was doing over quoted and then charged me $90 to be in the house for 2 minutes. If I could give them a zero rating I would.

.,. Since my last review I spoke to Cody the general manager at Ortega. He went to battle for me with the manufacturer and got me a brand new unit as soon as it came in they were ready to schedule an install. I got the new air conditioner installed today and it works perfectly. I am so glad to use a local business and I will retract what I said about them in the past because they did make good as they promised their service guy Luis is a good guy hard worker and very friendly. I’m actually going to have them give me an estimate on my business property so I do retract not recommending them at this point. I would recommend them and I give them five stars thanks again Cody God bless you all.

Very prompt service. The office secretary was great. Got my info and sent someone to my home the same day. Jonah and Rene were very professional. My plumbing issue was taken care of. Ortegas came out and gave us a bid to fix our mini split system for our office and home. The system we had before,was installed very poorly. Ortegas came in and not only fixed it but made it look so much nicer . It runs so good, I thought something was wrong. Thank you to the whole team, from the office to the poor guy stuck under the crawl space, with all the creepy, crawly things. We really appreciate the time and value you provided.

Our AC unit failed, and we needed a quick fix. Ortega Plumbing & Heating responded promptly, diagnosed the issue shortly after our call, and sent us a clear, competitive quote right away. We accepted the quote, and the repair was completed quickly and on budget.

Jonah was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and very thorough. I appreciate the time and effort he made as well as the answers to all my questions. In the past, techs from other companies have been rushed and dismissive. Ortega plumbing is a welcome change.

BEWARE: I'm very sad to say Ortega has become very sketchy. I changed to them a few years ago after a big ABQ outfit did exactly what I suspect Ortega is doing now-- price gouging.

Last year, my water cooler service was $150 and now they're telling me it's $300. That's crazy. I just got off the phone with them and cancelled the service. It appears they've had a lot of change in staffing, as well.

They used to be honest where they'd suggest what I could do on my own to save money and they were always incredibly responsive.

It's so sad to see a service you could trust go down the drain. I hope if enough people complain, they'll change their shady ways and see that honesty is the best business model.

2 techs came to repair rooftop AC unit. Claimed not enough voltage. Said problem in circuit breaker. I called another local electrician. Fixed within 10 minutes. Was told a simple reverse polarity was the problem. $158 for visit. Effing ripoff. After tech (forgot his name) claimed this was his "bread and butter fix". Wouldn't recommend this sham company.

Called for preventative maintenance on my HVAC and tankless water heater. I received a response within an hour and made the appointment. John and Toni showed up during the scheduled time frame and showed me some potential issues. I signed up for a maintenance contract. I feel they were personable and honest. I can rest well with their expertise!

The follow-up by the plumber was a NO CALL NO SHOW after a 9 to 5 schedule. I was home all day waiting for them to show up. I understand when things change but I AT LEAST expected the courtesy of a phone call. Disappointing after a 5-star start from the HVAC team.

"Customer Service" response was atrocious--explained the No Call No Show was because they did not book the scheduled appointment in their system--even though THEY told me my appointment was Wed. 9 am to 5 pm. Then they confused the VIP membership telling me my tankless water heater was not covered but would require more costs when my membership was supposed to cover it. Since I was having "so much fun" their Controller called me and told me that it was my fault . .. and was hoping I would give them another chance.
. . . so lowering the rating from 2 stars to 1 star. This business needs help!
After speaking with the General Manager and hearing from the Owner, I am revising the rating to 3 stars with the understanding that they are listening and hoping to improve from the feedback. I truly wish them luck.

The tech came out to see why my heater wasn’t working. He said it was a relay that had gone bad and he would find the part and schedule to install. About two weeks later the appointment came and I took off work to wait. They sent two different techs who said they couldn’t find the part the other tech had ordered. So I waited all afternoon missing work to my to be told no part. They said they would call me that day to schedule again. They never called me, so I called them only to be told they would get back to me. They never did. Going on 2 months using space heaters . I called again and they said they didn’t know what was going on, at which point I said enough please refund me . They said I’d have a check within 2 weeks which now it’s a month and nothing. So Ortegas offered no apologies nor anything. Pretty worthless and I guess I will file in court to get a refund and lost wages. Poor business for sure I would not recommend them ever.

After the above post went online for a few minutes I received a call offering to refund my money which did come as a credit to my card a few days later.

I have heat! Thanks to John and Tony at Ortega who diagnosed my problem quickly and even had the needed part in their truck! They came on-time and were so pleasant and efficient. Thank you! I'm keeping their business card for future work at my rental properties. Highly recommend!

Easy to schedule. Fast, friendly and fixed our garbage disposal and leaking in no time. We then called them out to diagnose a thermostat issue and we ended up having them replace the unit.
