Last year Omega completed our perfect little masonry patio and knee wall, completely altering the area at our basement door-- with Mackie's artistic vision, this handsome seating area has become the favorite outdoor spot for all of us to hang out. In deference to our mature planting and existing features, Omega's hard working crew, hand wheeled or carried in all the materials needed for this job carefully installing per HOA requirements. Mackie spent so much time up front visioning the placement and color of the masonry and estimating the job that this lovely work was not only top notch, it was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. This family-run highly responsive small business performs far better than the big guys. Polite, capable crew were a joy to be around and Mackie is not only a great listener and practical problem solver, but an artist in the landscape!

We have used Omega Landscaping for 2 different patio projects over the years and highly recommend Mackie and his crew! Mackie is very responsive, honest, easy to communicate with, and willing to discuss modifications to the project to get the final cost within our budget. His crew works very efficiently to get the project done within the given timeline and the quality of the final product is top notch. I am not sure where to begin…so I will start with this. PERFECTION- not even off by a 1/2 inch! Passionate, attentive to detail, and creativity encompasses everything Omega does. Mackie has a gift for turning a backyard into an oasis and for making our vision come to life. His team arrived on time, were extremely clean, and are true craftsmen. (They even tried to work around our kiddos nap schedules). If you are looking for something unique and honestly a true work of art, then these are your guys.

From start to finish, Mackie and the whole Omega team were spectacular. First, they were the most competitive on price and happy to work with our fixed budget. Mackie was extremely helpful and patient with the planning portion, offering his professional guidance and abundant samples of materials and designs. During the work, the crew was diligent, precise, and clearly took pride in their work. Mackie and the crew happily accommodated several last minute changes to our plans, worked through all sorts of fickle weather, and created a stunning end result. My husband and I were blown away by their professionalism, how easy they were to work with, and of course, how much we LOVE our backyard now. We spoke with numerous competitors and these guys are truly the BEST!

Omega Landscaping repaired sunken driveway pavers and patio pavers. Mackie offered great insights about the issues that needed to be fixed. Omega worked with us to find the best week to make the repairs. Moses and the crew were very professional and efficient. They kept the jobsite very clean and orderly which I appreciated. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the work Omega did for me..

We recently had Omega take out an old cement driveway and install a new one, using pavers. From start to finish, we were very pleased with all aspects of Omega's work. Mackie showed us various driveways in our neighborhood and reviewed the pros and cons of each style, then worked with us over several weeks to pick a style that was appropriate for our home. Once work began, the crew of Omega was friendly, worked hard and was respectful of our neighbors, several of whom commented to me how nice they were. They also left the area neat and safe each day. The completed driveway looks even better than we anticipated. we would recommend Omega for your landscape construction needs without hesitation.

We decided to update this review to be more reflective of the overall experience since our patio has been installed.

We connected with Mackie in 2023 to design and construct our patio and replace the trex on our deck. When we first started working together he explained important features in detail for both the short term and the long term, in addition to the budget and aesthetics, and it was really enjoyable to exchange ideas about how the patio would take shape to complement the house and the landscape. When the project took off, we were so impressed with the conscientiousness of the staff and they worked diligently to complete everything on time and in budget. Our lawn was restored perfectly and we were left with results more lovely than we imagined.

Over time, we have found that engagement is great at the time of the project, however disappointing for any questions or needs afterward, which have been very few, but regardless it is very difficult to get a response, and we have waited at times two weeks or more. When Mackie did come out to address concerns at the end of the first year, to include questions about gaps in the sand and growing organic material, and the loose stones at the edge of the patio, he was actually dismissive and sarcastic, which took us aback. The patio stones were fixed, but this year again they had become severely dislodged; nearly exactly two years after installation. This time, it was partly the result of a lawnmower running over it, but trying to discuss with Omega about having it repaired, even when the lawn care company was paying for it, was surprisingly difficult and they simply refused. As for the growing material we asked about at the first year, we were not aware that plants will grow between the stones; we aren't patio installers and it was a simple question. We had a bird feeder in one area that could have contributed to some, but I didn't expect so much green that needs perpetually attended to.

It's been two years and the rounded side continues to sink. I don't think that the other edges and corners of the patio would have dislodged if a lawnmower had run over them; those areas seem relatively solid in comparison. Regardless of the cause of dislodged or loose stones, it’s clear that the area will require ongoing attention and we expect that it will be a problem again next year, and the year after that.

The paver material itself also hasn't lived up to the promises. The stone is not as stain-resistant / low-maintenance as advertised. The Trex deck boards of the deck were installed in a way that causes water to pool in various areas and the amount of screws that fell out that we found all over the patio underneath was surprising, but also concerning, as we have a kid here and when friends come over the last thing we want is for someone to step on a screw and hurt themselves.

For the cost we paid, the experience has left us with a bad taste. We're both really disappointed in the lack of responsiveness and, when we eventually do get a response, the defensiveness and offense taken simply as a result of the outreach, let alone the issue. We’re now turning to another company to resolve the issues, as we’ve lost confidence in Omega’s ability and willingness to stand by their work. It's simply been more trouble than it's worth.

Can’t say enough about Omega and Mackie. We are so pleased with our new driveway. Mackie had very creative ideas that led to a more beautiful driveway than we envisioned. He worked within our budget and produced a high quality product. The communication, with every step of the process, was excellent! We felt fully informed and confident in the work that was being done. They were very responsive when we reached out with questions. All of the workers were very professional and considerate of ourselves and our neighbors. Incredible attention to detail right down to making sure the property was landscaped and restored. We will be using Omega in the future for other projects given our experience and trust in their high quality work.

Omega landscape did a stamped concrete patio for me. The whole process was very smooth. They had great employees who came in time and completed the work in a timely fashion.
Mackie was only a text away and was very responsive through out.
He answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. They were clear and transparent with the pricing.
The whole project was completed in a timely manner . They cleaned up after the work and keft my yard in a good shape. I have been impressed with their excellent work ethics and i recommend them highly for any landscaping project. .

Our AWESOME outdoor space! Omega Landscape Construction planned the work, worked the plan, and delivered beyond our expectations!

We hired Omega to build our 1,100 square foot multi-level paver patio with reinforced concrete foundation to hold our incoming swim spa and hot tub. This was a big (and scary) project for us and we needed expertise…..Mackie and his team delivered!

Precision measurements, attention to detail, excellent project management, expertly skilled labor and, most importantly, care for client and property. Omega delivered all of this while also coordinating and collaborating with our electrical contractor to install the electrical for our swim spa and hot tub under ground during the excavation phase of the project.

We are beyond thrilled with our Omega patio! Mackie delivers quality materials, quality people, quality work, and stays connected through the entire project. We did our homework before selecting Omega…..and they were spot on FANTASTIC! Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend Omega strongly enough. They designed and built a beautiful patio for us at a very fair price. Their craftsmanship is exceptional. We were struggling to come up with the right design for our space, and Mackie Jr came thru with a perfect design. The patio blends in perfectly with our home and gives us exactly the outdoor space we need without dominating our yard. This company rocks. Mackie is a great business owner - friendly, personable, very upfront, clear pricing and great to work with even as tweaks were needed on my project. I bought a house with a 32 foot long retaining wall that had completely failed and could have fallen on someone at any moment. I was expecting to have to wait until the Spring of 2022 to get the work done but Omega came through in a huge way and handled the project within a couple weeks of my first meeting with Mackie. We opted to go with a block wall system to avoid issues with drainage (which is why the first one failed) and we could not be happier with the final product. The cost for the work was reasonable and their crew was fantastic. They had the equipment, knowledge and experience to rebuild my retaining wall where it will never move again - and it looks fantastic at the same time. One of the tricky parts was trying to demo the failed retaining wall, which was pinned to the house foundation, without damaging the house or the nice patio just in front of it. They did excellent and got the old wall down without causing extra damage. Being a home inspector I was supervising a majority of the work and have high standards - they went above and behind, over-engineering my wall at times because they had extra material and figured it was worth it which I greatly appreciated. These guys are going to be my go-to referral for any stone/landscape/hardscape/retaining wall needs for myself as well as clients of my home inspection business. Great job Mackie and Omega crew!

I contacted Omega to obtain a quote for a backyard patio. The information submitted had the address, and none of the information on the website indicated that Omega had any geographic limitations to where they would work. Mackie initially responded very quickly by text, but then did not follow up again without prompting. We fixed a 9 am Monday consultation time for them to come by and look at the site. 9 am came and went. I texted to ask if they'd forgotten our appointment. No response. I called at 9:30, and the call went straight to voicemail. I called again at 10:30, and Mackie finally answered the phone. He said they weren't going to be able to do my project. I asked why. He said it was getting too cold, and the ground would be too hard. I told him that I hadn't expected them to necessarily start work during the winter, and that timing was something I had expected to discuss during the appointment. Then he said that they weren't taking on projects inside the beltway. When I asked him why no one had been able to tell me about that before I'd set aside time in my schedule, and teleworked that day to be available, he hung up on me. Amazing.

Mackie and his crew refurbished our 25 year old flag stone patio last fall and it looks great. He’s also done a couple more stone wall projects for us since then that have turned out great. He’s one of the few contractors I’ve seen who actually shows up when he says he is and his start dates are right on target.

We had Omega replace our retaining wall when our old one was failing. We found Omega through the Home and Garden show a year prior and liked what the owner Mackie had to say and what he proposed as a replacement. After several quotes, they came in at a fair price and sourced quality block for the wall. They did a great overall job and their workers were nice and helpful, answering any questions we had. I've recommended them to our friends and family, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any hardscaping needs.

I should have written this review months ago, but now that I am sitting outside admiring the excellent worksmanship of the stone walls in our entryway, I am finally doing so. Mackie and his team provided creative and professional service and the appearance of our entry, front steps, and new small terrace improved our house immensely. The layout of the space was a bit tricky, but Mackie spent a good deal of time sketching out different options. Then he talked through lots of options of materials. And his crew really took their job seriously. My husband was concerned about the water flow near our home (there was a place where water consistently pooled after storms) and the team completely alleviated the problem and tested water flow to make sure it was to my husband's satisfaction. I would confidently recommend Omega Landscaping for an excellent job.

I have given this much thought and have decided to write a review due to the unprofessional manner and in-completion of a job which was not done to satisfactory. This company, Omega Landscape Construction, was notified of a project needing to be completed in October. They finally came out a few months later to fulfill customer request.

1.) Overall communication with the customer was sub-par. Notification of arrival to job site was always last minute and texts were initiated to customer as early as 6am in the morning indicating the crew's arrival to do work.

2.) At the completion of the job, the site was left in a mess. Mortar stains and cement splatters were all over brick steps and currently remains. (Photos have been captured) Another vendor is needed to clean up the Omega Landscape Construction mess. [One of the workers indicated that he had to leave quickly to get his kids from daycare. I was not pleased]

3. Omega Landscape Construction kept asking about payment even before the project was completed. "When am I going to get paid?" I should have been keen then that, that was a red flag to cease all arrangements with this company from the start.

4. The overall project was to remove stains and fix mortar in brick steps to resolve an HOA violation. Omega Landscape Construction did not bring a resolve. Their messiness after their arrival magnified the issue with the Association.

4a. After the crew left, the owner was telephoned. His last words were quite disturbing to me. ". . . Good because I didn't want to do it anyway". This was in reference to a possible repair/removal to a brick. Who says stuff like that to their customers? Especially if they are going to charge their labor it to the customer's bill? I guess a vendor that is often making inquiries as to how or when they are going to get paid before the job has even begun would be inclined to make a statement like that. FYI: I have expressed my concerns with Omega Landscape Construction in email and via their customer survey form which was sent to me and to date there has been zero response. "Records have been checked. Megan/Mackie received payment 12/12".

Guys did a great job. I feel Mike went well above and beyond my expectations. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to install a paver patio.

I can always count on Mackie and his team to be professional and friendly. My yard looks great when they have done the edging, weeding, and mulch installation.

The Omega Landscape crew did a very good job and I would recommend them to do the work annually if required.
