Great experience with Smith’s. I was near the halfway point of a 10 hour trip with my 3 boys when warning lights appeared on my dash. I am so thankful I found the good reviews about Smith’s.
The Smith’s men were polite and helpful on the phone and at the garage. They gave me good advice, fixed one issue, and I highly recommend their services.

These guys are life savers. I was passing by Marion on a road trip when my wheel bearing failed. They got it towed and got right to it the next day. They Also changed my other front bearing and a rotor all for a very fair price.

Had trouble on the road my truck broke down and smiths was able to help me, Very professional and quickly helped me get back on the road

Daniel is one of the good mechanics from Virginia Smith if you have car or truck problems call hem they have towl truck and mechanic shop

THIS IS A PLACE THAT DOES PEOPLE VERY WRONG!! THEY CHARGE OUTRAGES FOR TOWING THEN THEY CHARGE 75 DOLLARS/DAY STORAGE FEE MY FRIENDS CAR WAS THERE 22 DAYS THEY TOLD HIM THAT IT WOULD COST HIM $1750.00FI GET HIS CAR BACK DURING THAT 22 DAYS HE WAS INCARCERATED W NO WAY OF RETRIEVING HIS CAR I CALLED THEM IN THE 2ND DAY IT WAS IMPOUNDED TRYING TO GET IT OUT OF IMPOUND THEY WOULD NOT EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT IT THE CAR OS SUPER NICE

Absolutely terrible service I ran out of gas on interstate and instead of vdot coming the trooper called smiths auto and didn’t tell me there was gonna be a 110$ service charge which I didn’t have at the moment so I worked something out with him and gave him my last 50$ and he put not even a gallon of gas in my car. Absolutely disgusting

Was heading to Knoxville when my battery light came on. Hopped off 81 and called Smith's Auto Repair. They told me to come by and they'd run a diag for me. Come to find out my water pump wrecked. They were able to get the part in and replace to get me back on the road safely. Quick, friendly, honest work. Highly recommend for anyone in the area with auto repair needs!

Daniel at smiths got me out of a terrible pickle by going above and beyond where his tow trucks could handle. I was broken down way up a mountain and Daniel wrangled some neighbors to help get me down with their tractor. Then he compensated the neighbors for their help which I thought was very honorable. I was especially worried bc I got a work vehicle stuck but Daniel assured me he wouldn’t leave me there. Can’t say how much I appreciate his help.

Had to make an emergency stop for a hole in my tire when every other repair shop was closed for the night. Met with JB and Tink from Smith's Auto repair; they were able to get me back on the road within 20 minutes. Amazing gentlemen to talk to, very efficient and fair. Couldn't ask for better service.

Locked my keys in the car at 3 in the morning he drove 45 minutes to unlock my car and charged a fraction of the cost I highly recommend them

He came and got me at 1am and took me and my car from Virginia to Tennessee back to the house, talk about excellent service!!! Definitely recommend this towing company over any others around

Excellent and expeditious service. The team towed our RV out of a precarious slide, and everyone was nice amidst a stressful situation. Checks or cash only, no cards accepted.

I had to get my car towed for engine issues on New Year’s Day and could not have asked for a better company to help. They communicated with me to understand what was going on with my engine and did the best to fix it and get the right parts even if it required driving 45 minutes to pick up the part on a cold holiday. Go in with a good attitude and they will do their best to have you back on the road in no time. Only drawback is not having their waiting room open currently. Thanks again to this company especially Daniel!

Worst place to ever take a vehicle will never take another one there. Couldn't even get a hold of the guy when you tried and not to mention he got an attitude with me. When they finally told me my car was ready what I paid was x3 higher then the quoted price would never recommend anyone to go here. Hate I had to give them 1 star because they don't even deserve that!!!

Very friendly. Arrived fast on a weekend dayto the side of a busy interstate and were very professional. Highly recommended if you get stranded or just need a tow call these guys.

They couldn't fix our car which was towing a 21ft camper. However, Daniel assisted us to get where we needed to. We are grateful for them!

I was traveling by myself from TN to NC for a funeral on Memorial Day weekend. I had a tire that was going flat on I81. I was able to get off the
interstate without any problem. I called Smith garage and the gentleman arrived at where I was parked within minutes. He asked me to follow him to his garage where he could fix my tire. They had be back on the road within 30 minutes. I would recommend this garage 100%. Thank you!!

Got a check engine light coming up on highway while traveling across the country. They’ve helped us quickly to change the thermostat, so we could be back on the road the same day. Thanks again guys.

My gf and I were driving from PA to NC. Along the way, her car shut down to half power and eventually threw out a check engine light. The local auto zone checked it out with a code reader and sent us to Smith's, saying if it's broke, they can fix it. After about 5 minutes of code resetting, and a loose gas cap, our problems were solved! The mechanic even went on a 15min test drive with us up and down I81 to make sure it was good. When we asked how much it was he refused to take any money and told us to have a safe trip and enjoy our vacation. Although no mechanical work was performed, I would definitely feel confident taking a vehicle there for an actual issue or servicing. 10/10

My diesel truck ran out of fuel and they came out, brought me diesel fuel, bled the line and got my truck running again. Very friendly and knowledgeable!! Great company!!

This family owned business is top notch!!
My son and I have traveled across the country. The alternator in our truck decided to die so, the gas station we were at gave us the phone number to the shop. They came within 15 minutes, picked us and the truck up. The truck was fixed few within a few hours and back on the road.

Above & Beyond wonderful business who I just so happen to be so lucky to run across after a very bad blown tire & traveling more than 1000 miles total. So after they took care of the tire problem, I unfortunately locked my keys in vehicle & they rescued in that sense also! They're in a job they can't do and they do it good and go get your car fixed with them I recommend it or if you need somebody to come pick your car up they got to roll back and a wrecker also is service wagon to come out and work on your vehicle

We pulled in the Walmart parking lot and our brakes to our fifth wheel were locked up, Thankfully Daniel was willing to run over to help us out! He was able to fix up right up and we were able to get back on the road! What service! Thank you Daniel!

I had to make an emergency stop on a long drive for Christmas because of an overheating engine. These guys were the only ones available on Saturday. When I pulled up, the person who was leaving said, "they're great guys, they'll take care of you." Don't let the appearance of the place fool you. She was right! They took care of me, explained what they were seeing under the hood, diagnosed the problem and got me back on the road. They are family-run, very friendly and charged a fair price. I am writing this review with heartfelt thanks to Smith's Auto Repair Towing & Recovery. On Labor Day weekend, returning from Asheville, NC, and heading to Pasadena, MD, we broke down in the small town of Marion, VA. We called AAA and they advised us it would be at least a 5 hour wait before someone could arrive as they were very busy because of the holiday weekend & we should try to get a rental car to return home and come back after our vehicle was repaired. That was not an option, since we were in a tire business parking lot, which was closed, and there were 4 women and my 2 year old grandson, with lots of luggage, surrounded by open fields.

Needless to say, we called Smith's, who told us they were closed for the holiday, but what could they do to help!. We explained the situation and they said they would be right out. In about 20 minutes Dan arrived, looked at the vehicle and said that our water-pump broke, causing us to lose all the fluids, as well as the brakes and power steering in our Ford Excursion. Shortly, thereafter, Dan said if he could get the parts he would have us back on the road in about 5 hours. Fortunately in 20 minutes he located all the parts and Jb towed the Excursion to their shop.

In the meantime, Dan was kind enough to load 4 women & 1 small child in his vehicle and take us to his garage in the town of Marion. He said we could walk about 2 blocks to a restaurant called Macado's to use the restrooms and get something if we were hungry. They were more than accommodating, as we informed them of our situation and said we would have to stay.

Around 6:30 P.M. we walked back to Smith's and the Excursion was running. I paid the bill, with much thanks, as JD was trying to pacify my grandson, who was getting cranky, by turning on the flashing lights of the tow truck and getting him an Orange Crush. By 6:45 we were on our way home.

Now at 9:30 P.M, my daughter's cell phone rings and it's Dan calling. He was calling to make sure we were okay and still heading home, as there was heavy rain near WV. Who could ask for better service? The kindness they showed all of us has renewed my faith in the good people of the world. The town of Marion is very lucky to have such kind and caring people as residents. Thank you Smith's Auto Repair Towing & Recovery!!!!!

My F-150 broke down on Main Street and I called them to have it towed to my work location the next day. They got it done in less than an hour, and for a very reasonable price. Thank you!

Our truck broke down on the freeway and this placed saved us. The tow truck showed up quickly, he dropped us off in town for food (we were starving) and the had us back on the road in a few hours. Very nice and honest people.

My car had been leaking down in my floorboard because the hose from the sun roof was going into the floor. It was a mess.they figured out what's was wrong and fixed it for free. I HAD tried to get several shops to look at it they all said they dont do that. Wonderful family owned business. Have had other work done there since then.exelent place...

My daughter's car ran hot due to a broken part. Daniel was quickly to tow her car to remove it off the interstate back to the safety of the shop, evaluate to problem, order the part and complete the repair. Everyone involved in this process was friendly, professional, and honest. The charge was extremely reasonable and better than I anticipated! My motorcycle blew a tire on 81 and these guys were Johnny on the spot! I was 32 miles from Wythville and they were there within 20 mins. They loaded the bike and had me at the harley dealer before they closed. Awesome people, nice, and professional!

I had a great experience with Smith's Auto Repair Towing & Recovery. My car broke down on I-81, and I was very scared. Smith's Auto Repair sent someone over really quickly and helped me out. I really wanted to be towed to Christiansburg because I am familiar with that area. That was not a problem for them. I also felt very safe riding with them. I am so thankful for their help and I highly recommend their service.

We had our yard tractor get into the river at the front of our property while grass was being cut. My husband tried to get it out, but we ended up calling Smyth Towing. Even though it was past 7 in the evening, they came right out and had it out of the river in just minutes. The two gentlemen that were on the tow truck were friendly, nice, and SOOO helpful. If we need towing again......we will call Smyth Towing!

I used the towing service. Very professional & a very nice guy. My car over heated in Rural Retreat on a Saturday & Smiths towing came & towed my car to Marion with his roll back truck. I highly recommend Smiths Auto Repair & Towing for any towing needs that anyone may have, especially on the weekends when towing services are hard to find.

I ran over a screw and no one else was open after 7pm & roadside assistance couldn’t come for a couple hours to change the tire. I drove to the shop and they quickly fixed my tire in 20 mins! It’s hard to find nice & honest people anymore. I would recommend them to anyone needing help surrounding Marion!
