We had an amazing experience using Omega for a roof replacement. Eric was our contact and he was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He routinely touched base with us and kept in touch with our insurance company when they were being difficult. The installation process was easy and it was all done in one day. The installers accidentally cracked a piece of siding and Matt, who was our contractor for the installation, had it relaxed with a new piece by the next morning. We could not have had a better experience getting a beautiful new roof and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I contracted Omega last year to repoint my slate pathway and back deck. What a mess! The first attempt was so poorly done that they to to totally tear out all of the pointing and slate and replace broken pieces. On some slate they use a marker with numbers and after a year I still can not remove the numbers.There is still an area that when it rains, the water puddles. It took the most of the outdoor season (May-August)to get to a point that I could use my backyard area. One major problem was that the workers were left unsupervised and did not speak English. However, they did not charge me any additional cost to fix. I would have referred to have the job done correctly in the first place. The backyard area is still not to my liking but I would rather not have them back to my house. I would not recommend them for any slate or pointing work.

We recently had some siding that was hanging because of the wind. Within 8 hours of a call, a team of professionals and gentlemen arrived to remedy the situation. I truly recommend thier services.

Omega worked with my homeowners insurance to ensure necessary work was authorized and completed. Production team members Wilber and Iliana kept me updated on progress and were present on-site when needed. The crew arrived on time and removed our old roof / installed new roof in one day. They picked up all the trash and took everything away leaving only our beautiful new look! My wife and I are so happy with the way our house looks. Changed our ugly brown roof to a light grey that is energy certified to reflect heat during the hot summer months. I was not aware of this company but an employee named Breann Haury was very helpful in getting my new roof installed. With Breann's help they came out and did a full inspection of my home. They were on site with my insurance company to ensure an accurate description of the storm damage that occurred and helped to get my claim processed. I have been working with the Omega Team to restore and repair storm damage to my home. The initial main contact has been Mark Kauf. Mark has guided me through this process and answered every question that I asked. Iliana Ferrer, the Production manager, reviewed the damage information and coordinated inspections by the 3rd party inspector. Iliana reviewed and provided information to both me and the insurance company to make sure that all the damage was reviewed and correctly accounted for. Wilber Jovel, the Assistant Production Manager, has been working continuously with me to make sure all the information is correctly processed. Wilber also has scheduled and managed the repair crews that have been repairing my house. I highly recommend Mark Kauf, Iliana Ferrer, Wilber Jovel and the entire Omega Team. I am very happy with their service, advice, expertise and work. If I ever need the repair services for any issue I will not hesitate to call the Omega Team.

I had the great opportunity to work with Mark Kauf on installing a new +1,500 sqft driveway. I had gotten at least 10 other estimates but Mark and Omega were the easy choice. Mark was professional, thorough, and worked with me every step of the way. I was so impressed with Mark and Omega that I personally handed out over 10 of his business cards to my neighbors and have had an Omega sign in my yard since they finished. I plan on using Mark and Owega again in the spring for a new roof and gutters. 100% recommend them.

***AWFUL FROM START TO FINISH. This may be a long read, but please learn from my mistakes whether you choose Omega or another vendor.

Please note I gave Omega over a month to address my concerns before posting any negative reviews. I sent Omega detailed pictures of every concern to ensure my claims could not be disputed otherwise. Unfortunately, only a few concerns were addressed, and Omega failed to bring out an inspector on two (2) occasions to address my other concerns. Basically no major resolution occurred and therefore I decided to post a negative review.

The entire process from the sales to installation was unacceptable. If I had not kept an eye on the installation, I would have been the average unsuspecting consumer not knowing how poorly the install was. My detailed complaints are below in chronological order:

Incorrect Shingle Selection - The salesman told me shingle selections came from a catalog solely based on COLOR only. That is incorrect! I reached out to the shingles vendor [i.e. Owens Corning] myself, where they confirmed my suspicion. In actuality, the salesman was very misleading as he should have stated all shingles have different quality, prices, patterns, construction, etc.. NOT JUST COLOR! After the install and physically seeing samples, I quickly realized I would’ve installed something else. Bummer!

$50 Shingle Samples - The salesman denied me a sample of the shingle I selected. Finally, he agreed to provide a sample at a whooping cost of $50!! Therefore, I did not want to pay that additional charge and “trusted” the salesman to proceed with the sale. A great error on my end! When I spoke with Owens Corning, they told me samples are free. Also, speaking with Omega after the install, Omega said they have plenty of samples around their office and could not explain why the salesman wanted $50.

Shingle Delivery During Heavy Rain - I told the salesman not to deliver the shingles as heavy rain was coming. The salesman was very rude and snappy. He proceeded to have the materials delivered, and the materials were not protected from weather elements (i.e. covered with a rain tarp). It rained and the workers installed wet products. Anyone knows wet materials should not be used for installation. Who knows what that will inevitably do to shorten the longevity of my roof!

Moss Growing on Shingles - I told Omega the shingles were wet. I sent pictures of moss growing on the shingles. Not only should wet shingles not be used for installation, but GROWING MOSS on the shingles?! When the wet shingles were placed on my roof, you could see water flowing down into my gutters. I asked the workers and they said it was perfectly fine and continued.

Ran out of Material During Install - One of the materials (i.e. underlayment) clearly ran out. Underlayment is a water resistant and waterproof barrier installed directly on the roof deck for weather protection. When I saw this problem, I confronted the installers and they just simply stated “we ran out of material”. Then they proceeded and continued on. Unacceptable! Furthermore, underlayment has to be installed and smoothened out without wrinkles. For my roof, there were areas where the underlayment was wrinkled during the install, but they never went to smoothen it out either.

Quickly Disposed Any Remaining Shingles - Based on my roof size, there were approximately 3 extra bags of shingles purchased. After the install, I asked to keep a few shingles from those extra bags and the workers told me they were immediately thrown away! I paid for those extra bags as part of my contract, and there were no shingles left for me to keep as a sample after the fact? That is unbelievable and seems VERY VERY SUSPICIOUS.

Whether you proceed with Omega or another contractor, please learn from my mistakes and even feel empowered to stop your contractors if things are going very wrong! Good luck!

I had a great experience with omega. Excellent job and thank you for installing my new roof. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not clear in billing and they will make sure u sign the contract and don’t explain the fine print to you. They will even charge you for ply sheets which other companies normally not. Also they did the upgrade of some other parts which we did not approve, now they want us to pay for this. Please do yourself favor and don’t use this company, they will cheat you.

The roof replacement was excellent. It only took two days. I had some damage to my siding as a result of the replacement. Omega took care of these issues and corrected them to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them.

I am very pleased with the services I received from Omega Contracting. Marlin was very professional and thorough. He took a video of my roof and discussed in detail why I needed to have my roof replaced. I compared their prices with three other contractors for the same type of shingle and warranty, and Omega was the most affordable. Pictures were taken as the roof was being installed, and Marlin came out to inspect the final product. During the walk through, he took pictures and a video of the completed work.

Marlin is very pleasant to work with. I recently had some large branches pruned that were hanging over my house. An incident took place where I heard a loud noise as one of the branches came down. The contractors reassured me it did not hit the roof. I contacted Marlin and he was kind enough to come out and inspect the roof in order to make sure everything was fine. He took a video of the roof so I could see there was no damage. He even took the time to clear a few sticks and leaves from the roof.

I am very satisfied with Omega Contracting and would recommend them for your roofing services.

The work was done promptly, professionally, and on time. Price was very fair and communication was great. Definitely would recommend.

In October 2018 we had them repair the roof and part of the side of a very tall townhouse in Belmont Bay. They came quickly and worked well with both our insurance company and the HOA. They put up a temporary fix since the roof was leaking and damaged inside the house and quickly got the approvals to do the repairs.

I'm happy with the service provided. The people I worked with were very friendly, informative, and never hard to reach, making the whole process go smoothly within a timely manner. They're straightforward, going into detail about the work being done, what materials are being used, and gave a reasonable quote the same day. I enjoyed working with Omega and love how my roof looks. I would definitely recommend and contact them again for future projects.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Hired them in 2011 to redo my roof due to hail damage. A few years later noticed my Florida room ceiling had damage from a leak (there is nothing above this ceiling). I contacted Omega to ask if someone could come out to see what was going on. They sent someone to check it out. He went on my roof and said I had hail damage again. I called a couple of other companies and they said I DID NOT have hail damage but it was the flashing that was causing the leak. Omega reused the flashing instead of using new flashing to repair it properly. I called Omega again to discuss. They were hard to get a hold of (avoiding me) but eventually sent someone out from their company who said the same thing about the flashing and that was up to management. After a lot of back and forth they said it had been too long and it’s not their responsibility. Sadly they did not own up to their mistake. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I actually hired a great honest company to fix their mistake! I was forced to give one star in order to post this review!

Omega contractors definitely want the best to work out for you. They contacted us at a time when our roof was in pretty bad condition, hit by the storms over the years. While I was not very sure, they knew what they were doing after they inspected the house. They helped us work with insurance and the insurance inspector who came out and inspected the house along with Omega.
After the claim was approved ( sometimes based on damage and cause, it may not go thru with the insurance and Omega is very genuine and knowledgeable about this), they gave us excellent paper work, helped us pick the colors and even worked with our mortgage to get the checks cleared. They gave us the 50 year warranty shingles and completed the entire roofing in 2 days on the agreed date. They came back and did the paint job inside also very
promptly.
On the whole, this was one of the best companies I have worked with. Chris Brown from omega, who was my point of contact is one great professional. Sylvia was very courteous and professional on the phone as well.
