Went to J.R. and got a quote for a solar system for our motorhome. It was very apparent after talking to him that he is an expert in his field. After getting his quote immediately by email we went to check three other Solar companies in the area. None of the three could tell us what we wanted to hear the way J.R. just tells it like it is. We ordered the batteries he suggested (not cheap) but the best there is. Had a little hiccup getting them to no fault of J.Rs. The entire crew worked together very well and got the job done faster than expected. His Victron prices are low and he stocks everything needed. If you want the best come here!

Awesome! My first winter spending time in Q. Heard all the stories about beware of the in-town solar businesses. My first experience with JR was while waiting for a recommended freelance installer. I needed some wires made up for my temporary portable panels and stopped in. JR and crew were busy!!! He took the time to set me up, adding a couple breakers I didn’t realize I needed, all at a very reasonable price.
After waiting a couple months for the other installer the guy backed out.
I went back and scheduled with JR.
Sometimes things happen for a reason.
I couldn’t be happier with my install!
I returned a solar controller and 4 panels to Amazon and JR upgraded everything for less money.
I’m in an older but quality built small Big Foot TT.
I expected exposed wires from the roof to the equipment space, batteries I would need to box in etc. To my surprise everything was installed as it I was in a brand new Class A.plus they worked past quitting time to complete the job.
All at a very reasonable price!

Please consider OffTheGridRV in Quartszite. JR and his team are amazing!! We are new (as of Nov 2024) to Quartszite and needed to maximize our solar capabilities. What we came with just wasn't meeting our needs. The facility is immaculate and so top notch! JR is patient and the entire experience from start to finish was so easy. They will get you what you need and explain it so you know what you are getting. We also returned recently to add 2 more batteries and the service was the same. We dropped in - our solar was not charging the batteries. JR diagnosed the problem and we made an appt. His team made everything right for us and even corrected a piece of equipment installed by another company. They were knowledgeable, reasonable and kept us informed of the progress. OTG labor prices are also reasonable and fair.

After careful consideration of all options, JR came up with great ideas to resolve and overcome the remaining challenges to balance performance, productivity, and value on one side and costs on the other. You will never be able to do the same job elsewhere better or at less cost.

Once we agreed, he scheduled me and took care of following up and executing everything with Jason, Dave, Charles, and Leo to do everything he promised and more.

The results are impressive. 99% of installers will never tell you that you can get them. Ballony! With my 1900-watt panels and 24V system, I can easily get 100%+ of my max output @ solar noon thanks to good planning, layout, quality components, proper installation, and correct rig orientation and tilting. I easily get 10 KW of solar harvested daily if I want, including on the lowest and shortest day in the winter and I store excess energy in a massive 1120A battery bank. I expect to harvest up to 15 KW daily in the early spring and summer and possibly without tilting. Now, everything in the rig runs on solar. Fridge, AC, water heater, microwave, electric space heater, massive computer, and I charge my 2.4KW electric bike from the rig with ease. It is almost like my house.

What impressed me the most about JR? He was the only one of the three shops who put my best interest in mind at every step, even ahead of his. He brainstormed with me to give me all the options possible to execute my plan at the lowest cost possible without sacrificing quality or performance. He didn't push his hardware or ideas on me to only maximize his profit as most do elsewhere.

Excellent service and work done by OffTheGridRVs. JR and his crew were very accommodating, professional and caring and did excellent work! Had a previous solar system that we weren’t very happy with and they fixed it and added more to it. Our new solar system looks very nice and we our happy. Will be back in the future and highly recommended everyone get their solar done here.

JR and his crew were awesome. They did a full house solar system on my 5th wheel. The install was a custom job, as are all his installs. If you want a fast shoddy job don't go here. They take pride in only turning out quality work at a fair price. My install took 2 and a half days, which I was fine with knowing I didn't have to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about installing solar.

We were having issues with our current solar setup when we were in the tucson area and knew we were heading toward Quartzsite. When we were driving to setup camp on Plomosa road BLM land we seen Off the grid rvs place. The next day we stopped in to see what we could do with our current solar setup, met JR and after I gave told him our current setup which needed some help, He mentioned a few options to us as we were looking to add a few more things in our rig to our setup. When he had an estimate together that had us adding 4 more high quality solar panels, a new Charge controller and a total transformation of our system. Two days of installing and rewiring and working past his regular hours JR and his fabulous crew had created a system that is everything we could have asked for. We are using our setup and it is performing at 100% with no issues and we are very happy! If you are looking to add to or get new then this is where you go! You will get the best personal service and top of the line products from JR.

Needed education on solar power on a 30 amp travel trailer based on our style of boondocking. First stop was at OffTheGridRVs in Quartzsite AZ. Met with JR who listened to us and then came up with an install design and pricing. We proceeded to other shops in town with same questions. Thought about all three install bids and went back to JR at OffTheGridRVs, made an appointment for the install. We wanted a custom job to be able to fit into our available space and budget, knowing it would take more than one day to do it the way we wanted. Job completed in timely matter and to our complete satisfaction! Could not be happier with JR and entire crew!

Bought a 325 watt panel to deploy on the ground. Got a GREAT deal on it that they had running during the RV and Big Tent Show in town. Friendly service, easy location and parking and seemed like they know their stuff. Highly recommend them!

This guy is an artist in his work, no fancy building he made my Motorhome solar look like a factory job. Everything works great and he helped me understand using everything I will never go anywhere else.

JR did an excellent job in February installing our new inverter and solar panels onto our coach. We would highly recommend this team. They are professional and timely and reasonably priced. We love our solar so much we are adding another panel next week.
