Odds and Ends was a pleasure to work with. Jimmy was very efficient and timely in his help, and did excellent work. I have nothing but good things to share, and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Jimmy from Odds and Ends Construction started out professional and
timely. He came out and did a walk around my deck for the patio. We
then discussed the size and my expectations for the patio. He sent an
estimate which I agreed too. I paid the deposit once it was ordered.
He stated they would get started right away. His crew came over and
started to work on leveling the ground.

The dump truck showed up one day to deliver rock that was not paid for
by Jimmy and the driver refused to drop it because no one was on site
from the Odds and Ends Construction, this delayed the process. Once
this was rectified, they installed the pavers. Which I did as the
customer add to the project. I received a text stating it was an
additional $350 for the pavers, to which I agreed.

The delivery was the following week, and the rock was delivered by
Jimmy on that Saturday. Jimmy and We talked about the patio and
expectations for the finished project he stated he had 66 stone pavers
to line the outside of the patio which I said I liked that idea and
even text him to say steps was a good idea. Later that week on
Thursday Jimmy text and said it was done and looked good.

I got to the house to see the finished product. It was not what we
talked about at all. I have attached pictures to show no step down,
and it was a bunch of topsoil around the edge with seed. I then looked
at the rock laid around the tree and it did not even cover the sand
base material used. It was like he ran out of rock and did not even
bother to completely cover the area. The pavers were not even squared
up to the house off by 2 inches very noticeable poor workmanship. I
called Jimmy and he would not answer. So, I texted him that I was not
happy with the topsoil placed where paver step-downs should have been.
Jimmy text that he misunderstood what we talked about. Texting, I
reviewed with him and talked about the 66 pavers for the step down and
no mention of mulch. He responded to say only, we would regroup. I
sent pictures of the rock not covering the area he said he would bring
rock out which never happened. He sent me a link to buy more to fix
it. When I sent the text it was not squared up to the house, he said
he would have to look at it.

I asked why the final invoice was $1,000 higher. He said it was for
the rock and topsoil. The same rock that did not cover the base
materials and the topsoil I didn't even order. Now back to the invoice
it was backdated 2 weeks which made no sense. I know contractors can
do shady and questionable things, but this was just unprofessional.
This is we're I messed up, I paid the invoice thinking he would arrive
and fix the areas since he texts and said he would.

Jimmy never came to look at it in fact he has not returned phone
calls, text messages or email.

Is this how he conducts business? Based on my very bad experience with
Jimmy from Odds and Ends Construction, I in good conscious cannot
recommend this company to anyone.

Even though I am a busy person, I feel it is in the interest of
everyone that I report this company to the Better Business Bureau!

UPDATE: Contacted Jimmy for 2 more jobs. He completed the work on our well & we scheduled the 2nd job to be done the beginning of the following week. When he was about 45 mins late, I had to reach out to him to see where he was. He said he needed to reschedule way AFTER he was already late. What??? Who does that? So disrespectful. We actually had to reschedule that work 2 more times & each time, he was a no call and no show. The 3rd time he didn't show up, he never answered any communications or reached out. No apology, acknowledgement of dropping the ball, NOTHING! WOW....I unfortunately cannot, in good conscience, recommend this person or "business". He blatantly disrespected us & clearly does not value his customers or their time. He is not a person of integrity. He does not keep appointments or communicate with his customers. We just moved to Farmville & this old house needs work! We are seniors & on a fixed budget, we have to save up to get these things done. He worked real hard to lose our trust & business. Well folks, "When a person shows you who they are, believe them the 1st time!" I guess that's on us. Oh & he doesn't make eye contact. Super sketchy!

They came and inspected my chimney and cleaned it out! Very nice and affordably done! Even came on a Saturday. Could not ask for better service!

Jimmy has been a pleasure to work with I would recommend him to anyone that needs to have a project whether it’s a tiny house to a full garage.

Jimmy and Tristan, with Odds & Ends , did a foundation for my mobile home. They did more than expected to make sure it was to my satisfaction. They are very Professional in what they do.

We had Jimmy clean the year's accumulation of pine needles off our roof and clean out the gutters. He did a good job at a reasonable price. We were particularly happy with the cleanup of the decks and walkways afterward. Definitely will hire odds and ends again.

Jimmy came to my moms house and fixed her water he was more than professional and was able to figure out the problem and fix it in a timely matter. We will definitely reach out again if we have any repairs to be done around the house.

He replaced some shingles that blew off, and that fixed my leaky roof, they are wonderful people to do business with. I will be hiring them over an over.

Me and my husband had a new roof installed the year before last by Odds and Ends. It took 5 days for them to finish which made up for the questionable aroma wafting down from the skylights...
Very low prices which is why I tried contacting Jimmy for a roof repair recently. Let’s just say this company is closed indefinitely.

We just built a new house and wanted to hang a TV above our brick fireplace. Jimmy Lee mounted and hung our TV quickly and safely. He was knowledgeable about this job and made sure to bring the proper anchors and bolts as the items provided in the mounting kit were not sufficient. His installation was thorough and he even cleaned up all of the dust and debris when he finished the job. My husband and I were thankful for Jimmy Lee's expert help and the peace of mind knowing our TV is hung securely. I was injured and out of work. I contacted Odds and Ends to see if they could take care of my yard maintenance while I was out of work. Jimmy Lee had his men take care of it the very next morning and they did a GREAT JOB!! I highly recommend them.

I was building a new house and had issues with the previous contractor. Odds & Ends Home Improvement was recommended to perform the work below. I would highly recommend them for their quality of workmanship and ability to work well with other (homeowner, contractors, building inspectors). I now have my Certificate of Occupancy thanks to them.

Description of Work Preformed:
1. Underneath the house plumbing was roughed-in and pressure tested, sections of pipe the length the house was not installed or connected to the drain line leading to the septic system. Lines were capped off holding water that had filled up the tubs causing an odor. Due to no crawlspace doors freezing temperatures would freeze drain lines. Bought and installed needed drain pipe and fittings connecting the septic system.

2.Priming walls and ceilings, painting finish coat using paint provided by home owner. Owner setting out different colors in each room.

3.Complete unfinished front porch entrance, install deck joist hangers to code instructed by owner per Building Inspector. Install a 6x6 center support post that was left out in a 20ft header span. Frame front steps and handrails, put down decking. Frame down ceiling so soffit could be installed the correct way. Move electrical wires ran to front post where lamps couldn't be mounted. Rewire front porch lights to each side of the doorway.

I purchased two bathroom faucet sets planning to install them myself. I did not have the time to get the job done before a holiday weekend when all the kids would be home. I called Odds & Ends and Jimmy and his crew did the install for me within days. They did a great job and left the job site clean. Because of the great experience I had working with this company I gave them a five star rating and will refer them to others.

We had a pipe burst in our bathroom that flooded our bathroom, part of our kitchen, and down into our basement. Jimmy and his crew did an amazing job fixing everything. We actually had them completely re-do our entire bathroom (tile, tub, vanity, toilet), re-tile our kitchen, and lay carpet in our bedrooms. They were extremely friendly, efficient, and affordable. We had such a good experience that we called on him again when we needed our driveway re-graveled. They definitely go above and beyond to make sure that their clients are happy. I would recommend him to anyone looking for home improvements.

Cannot say enough great things about this company!!!! Whenever we need anything - they are right there!!! I called Jimmy when I needed help laying a concrete sidewalk in front of my home. A few days later he and an associate were at my house knocking the work out. The sidewalk turned out great and I haven't a single complaint. Perfect guy to call regarding any type of work you need done.

I appreciate owner Jimmy Dedmond's ability to "think outside the box" when it comes to problem solving. I have challenged his team with some very non-conventional projects and they've made them happen, on time, and on budget! What I appreciate the most is his dependability. He does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. I would whole-heartedly recommend Odds & Ends Home Improvement!
