I was brought into a kitchen restoration project mid-stream, and Alex Hillestad quickly brought me up to speed on the project's progress and what had already been completed. He was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the remainder of the project. Additionally, his level of customer service was truly exceptional.

I had an excellent experience with Northwest restoration. From start to finish, their communication was outstanding — not only with me, but also directly with my insurance company, which took a huge weight off my shoulders.

They made sure I was completely satisfied with the work, walked me through all my options (including tile choices), and guaranteed the quality of everything they did. They truly went above and beyond.

In less than two weeks, they fully restored my restroom — including new tile installation, vanity setup, and even drywall repair on the lower level. The work was done efficiently, professionally, and with great attention to detail.

I couldn’t be happier with the results and would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of restoration services. Amazing job all around!

My house rebuilding started out rough. The GM they had was not doing his job. They replaced him with an amazing guy that turned the project around! It all worked out in the end. I’m not sure I would recommend them but the 2nd GM was amazing!!!

I can’t recommend Michael (and Spencer) highly enough! After our kitchen suffered water damage from burst sink pipes, he came in and completely turned the situation around. Michael was professional, reliable, and communicative throughout the entire restoration process. He helped coordinate everything, from assessing the damage to rebuilding cabinetry and restoring the kitchen to even better condition than before. His attention to detail and quality of work were outstanding. If you need a contractor you can trust to get the job done right, Michael is your guy.

I had Michael and Spencer on my repair team and couldn't be happier with the results. Back in December we had to file and insurance claim with USAA for water damage caused by a leak behind our fridge from day one Brandon and his team took care of us! Words can not express how satisfied I have been with the care and attention to detail every single one of the guys are. No question was left unanswered no matter how silly I though I was. I was educated along the way stayed informed and kept up to date with the whole process I know if I ever need any other work done around our home I will have this team to call and rely on! Shelby has always been on time, quick to respond, has over explained the processes and has held our hands. She is an amazing trooper!!!

I had to do one star because it would not let me post with no stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Absolutely terrible. No one even knows how they were brought on. My grandparents house (vacant and owned by my father) endured a flood from a broken kitchen pipe in January 2023. NWR come on to the project in June 2023 after the pack out, drying and demo. Excuse after excuse, what should have been done within 6 months took over 12 and and was not even finished. Multiple estimates to insurance (they have a different system was the first excuse), change of project managers, contractors have other jobs they are working on, you name it. They listed things in their estimate that were completed according to them but in fact was never part of the project, they over billed and very shotty work by their "handyman" crew. They state that the items/price in the estimate for any given line item may have been allocated somewhere else. For example, kitchen oak flooring. It was linoleum. They took us to small claims court for the "balance owed". It went to mediation at which time I clarified that over work they claimed to have done, over 9k, was not in fact done. From staining and painting kitchen cabinets (ordered and delivered from the company ready to install), hardware for cabinets (never ordered and never received), floor to ceiling cabinets that have been in the house since around 1960, they charged 54+k stating they were basically rebuilt (project manager #2 claimed he cam e in after....), basement family room was allegedly painted with 3 coats of paint. All 4 walls are original wood paneling and not one was painted, nor where they suppose to be. That charge was $663. Charged for vapor barriers in bedrooms that did not have the floor replaced, they painted door trim that was not to be painted (I have the text to prove). They refused back then to provide invoices or PO's for the contractors. They still are refusing so they dismissed the small claim stating "we will pursue other legal avenues as vigorously as we need to". First project manager was Linda, then went to Anthony. They even had the nerve to tell everyone in the company that they were not to talk to me because I was demanding results. Worst restoration company from workers to management. They said they were denied access to the property. Bold faced lie. They had access to a lock box and were told numerous times to contact me directly for a code. This was so we could keep track of who was coming and going. Do not even consider hiring this company. Insurance carriers should also be made aware not to refer them. I should also mention that they disposed of items that should not have been disposed of. Custom made gun cabinet doors, shower door, curtains and rod, custom box for forensic business, etc.

I am editing this to include the fact that in NWR's response, they did not comment on their charges, only stating they did their best. Their best is to charge $5400 for floor to wall cabinets that were not removed or replaced, $2000 for staining and finishing "ready made" kitchen cabinets, $663 for painting 4 walls in a family room that was not painted as it was and is still the original wood paneling, to name a few things. Also the fact that they dismissed the claim because they did not want to provide PO's and invoices from contractors. Savannah stated that they would provide and then that offer was "off the table". So WE opted for a trial. That is when they opted to dismiss the claim stating they would be pursuing other legal avenues. Only reason to deny a trial is if you know you are wrong and won't come out ahead.

Shelby who works for Northwest has personally helped my mother through a very hard time and difficult insurance claim process. Going above and beyond what I've seen from any other project manager anywhere else. Would absolutely recommend her specifically to anybody in need of such service.

I have had the best customer care through Shelby at NW Restoration. I have two simultaneous jobs. The restoration has been spot on. She keeps me updated on progress and next steps. She is professional and engaged. I know that my next restoration will be top notch. My children agree, this has been easier on me because of the support that I have
received.

You ever have one of those moments when you know that something has gone horrible wrong... like you step in a hallway you have not walked through in days and water wells up over your foot? yeah... that. Anyway Northwest Restoration did a great job getting everything back to a pre loss state, project managed it well, and even though there were some delays -- which it is impossible not to with the shortage of trades people in the Portland area, they did a great job and took care of everything that was not quite right and made it right. If you flood your own house accidentally like I did, and to be fair i really still blame that new washer I am sure there was something wrong with it, they can help you cover up your shame :)

Faith was great, the crew that works for her did an excellent job in the middle of winter to put new siding on the outside of my south wall of my house. After they were finished they cleaned up my backyard from the debris, I didn’t even find one leftover nail. I was kept informed as we worked around the rainy days and her crew was professional and hardworking. Would definitely work with them again.

Shelby has been incredible handling the remodel and restoration of my Mom’s home and rental property. She has gone above and beyond to provide timely, thorough, and outstanding service. I highly recommend Shelby and Northwest Restoration.

Shelby has been very effective in communications with us during each step of the process of our restoration. She would communicate with us regularly, asking us if we had any questions and to let her know if things were not going like we thought and would explain. Very easy to work. Multiple shingles from my roof were blown off by the storm in middle Feb 2025 and it was also snowing that day. I called my insurance and they contacted NW Restoration for an emergency tarping work. Micheal from NW Restoration called me back immediately and they dispatched two contractors to my house in the same day afternoon!!! The roofers absolutely did an excellent tarping work to prevent water going into my house. My roof was pretty steep and they both went up there and solidly nailed down the tarping while it was snowing heavily. It was raining the next couple of days, and the tarping worked very well - there was no sign of any leak at all. When something happened to the roof while it's raining, you just wanted to get help ASAP to prevent any further water damage and this was exactly what NW Restoration did. I sincerely appreciate the very quick response and quality work from NW Restoration and I would definitely recommend this company for any roof work.

Great experience with Kevin and crew. Kevin had great communication skills, friendly, efficient, and had a positive attitude. Which can definitely help during a stressful time. We would use their services again and highly recommend them!

Shelby completed more work in the past 3 months than the year prior. She would text us multiple times a day to make sure workers had their boots on the ground and that the scope of repairs was actually being done and done correctly. We have never received this type of
customer service from NWR prior. Shelby runs a tight shipp and was only 15 minutes late but had provided an updated ETA. I think what won us over and she managed to earn my trust was when she showed up on the job one morning in Carheartt overall and boots. She dove in head first and worked really hard to earn our trust. She had made a few very good suggestions and knows how to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues that arose. If you ever have a huge loss like we did, we highly recommend Shelby with NWR.

WOW….. I don’t even know where to begin. It was a very rough and long ride! I’m so impressed with how Shelby actually managed to get this across the finish line, and our new home is absolutely stunning! We received our final occupancy yesterday, and she personally went above and beyond by cleaning our new primary bathroom herself while waiting for the inspector to arrive! To fill you in with a little hindsight, we had an electrical fire in the downstairs bathroom in December of 2022, and our home had major damages! We had multiple project managers over the past two years, faced many coordination challenges, and the repairs were not done in the proper order. This nightmare flipped around on December 20th, when Shelby and her training manager arrived to walk the project and met with my husband, Randy and I. At first, I was hesitant as she was being trained and new to the company. Shelby quickly won me over once she got a grasp of the remaining repairs still needed to complete our home. Her positive outlook, outstanding and quick communication, fine eye for detail, and willingness to go above and beyond the standard expectations to try and make it right for us. Tonight will be the 1st night that we can sleep in our fully renovated home, and it feels like a dream! Even though we signed off on our job as completed, she continues to check in and make sure that our contents were returned on time and that we don't have any concerns that need attention. Not only did Shelby, by far, exceed our expectations, we now have a new friend! If you have an unfortunate event of huge loss like we did- I would suggest you ask for Shelby!

We needed someone to make our repairs sooner, not later. We got NW Restoration from a referral, by our Insurance Adjuster. Turned out to be the best referral I've ever had. We had two restoration repair jobs needing to be done. One was covered by our Dwelling Insurance, for a water leak through the ceiling, the other one was not a covered repair, but just as important.
Shelby took the helm right away as the Project Manager of our repairs. I had a very bad experience with a contractor in the past, so throughout this project I would be triggered from that. I know that I was not the most pleasant person to have as a customer. Shelby was wonderful! Holding my hand the whole way. Answering all my crazy questions, reassuring me, updating me, and even following up with the other company that had my personal contents in storage, making arrangements for the delivery back to my home; and then reaching out to me to ensure that they were on time and that everything was good with me.
I sure hope that her superiors know what they have in Shelby. Making sure that the customer is 100% satisfied is golden.

Michael, Spencer, and their contractors (Serg and Josh) were great! I highly recommend this company. They were very helpful and went above and beyond in service!

They work on my parents insurance claim. The process took a while to start, but once they started they worked fairly quickly and got the job done. Worked with Brandon and Cody and they were kind and understanding of my parents situation and everything that snow balled with their situation.

NW Restoration completed the reconstruction phase of a water damage insurance claim for me. The claim included replacement of the Kitchen and flooring and paint for the family room. They were the only company among those investigated to be able to offer the services within the insurance company budget. I found their staff and subcontractors to be trustworthy and friendly and experienced creativity in solving my redesign issues. The assigned project manager, Shea, was very helpful and worked with me to schedule subcontractors to minimize project time and work around any conflicts. Additionally, the company stands behind its work. While insurance claims are lengthy in processing time, the experience of Shea and other staff obtained results with the insurance company and resolved a long standing claim. I am very pleased with the outcome and would definitely use this company again.

Great advocate for us in replacing with the same quality our damaged kitchen and floors...Final results outstanding. Our contact person was Linda and she was fantastic!!!!! Delays in the projected time line of completion was due to USAA's homeowners insurance being short staffed and overwhelmed with claims but Linda's persistence in phone calls to USAA to move the project along was greatly appreciated

Michael and his team did excellent work to restore our home after extensive water damage due to a flood caused by a bidet. After receiving a quote from another company that our insurance deemed too high, we contacted NW Restoration. Michael came out the same day to begin assessing the damage and putting together an estimate and plan for completing the work. Michael is knowledgeable, a great communicator, and kind. He provided us with clear weekly updates and went above and beyond to ensure that almost all work was completed during a 2-week time period while we were out of town. We had a water loss on the 2nd floor of our home. It damaged two rooms of ceiling, and 5 areas of carpet and flooring. Anthony Trejo was exemplary. Their mitigation team was prompt and thorough. The dry-out was checked often, and we were well taken care of. Anthony acted as the general contractor on the restoration part of the job as well. He coordinated a storage pod, contractors for the trim work, ceiling repair, new flooring contractors, and all the finish work. I've had an excellent experience working with Nic and his team on both an interior and exterior restoration project. The quality of the restoration work has been very good and has remained on-schedule even with some very difficult circumstances. Throughout this process, Nic has been very communicative and professional.

a friend of mine was recommended this place by her insurance for some water damage to their house. something that should take 5 days (simple job) is taking months, and no communication, meanwhile my friend has to stress over being kicked out of the hotel the insurance is paying for every time she needs to extend her stay there .

The best experience was getting to know Linda that was the project manager and let us know everything that was going to happen and when it was going to happen. The subcontractors she hired to do all the repairs after a tree fell on our home were very informative and very friendly, We are extremely happy with the results and would refer them to our family and friends.

Having a home disaster and being displaced for 9 months was one of the most stressful times of our lives. We were very grateful to have Ryan Hatley at NW Restoration as our project manager helping to get our home livable again. You are working with your project manager for months or even years sometimes depending on the level of damage your house sustained. So you really want someone who is kind and a good listener because a forced remodel is beyond stressful. Ryan always took the time to talk me through anything I was concerned about. He was always kind and compassionate and spoke to us respectfully. He listened to any complaints we had and would do his best to have them fixed. His kind nature and helpfulness made our disaster a little less painful.

Nick Clarke and his team were efficient, professional and we would use them again anytime we have the need for their services. We definitely recommend them to our friends.

They took advantage of me being across the country. After dealing with them for a year and not seeing an end in sight I got the owner involved! After a couple months they said they were completed. I could see bare boards above the sliding back door they installed! Their finish work was atrocious! I hired an inspection and they found a long list of items they didn't do correctly! In all it took them over 15 months to do what shouldn't have taken more than 6! And it was poor quality! Hire them at your own risk!!!

While no one wants to have a situation that requires a home restoration service, your one bit of good luck will be dealing with NW Restoration.

Our assigned project manager, Linda, was a master of communication--she kept kept us up-to-date with the status of repairs and was always available for questions. Unlike some other companies that we and our friends have interacted with, NW Restoration never over-promised and they always delivered on what they said they'd do.

This company was recommended to us by our insurance company when we had flooding in our home, and I wish I could go back in time and choose a different one.

The restoration should have taken less than 2 weeks (based on a similar project we had done by another company a few years ago), but it took OVER TWO MONTHS.

During that time there was little communication other than their frequent demands to be paid in full. We were advised by our insurance company not to pay them until after the work was completed to our satisfaction.

Once the job was "completed" and furniture was being moved back into the room, mold was discovered on the wall studs. It was reported to the company by the movers, but the company said it was no big deal and recommended that we just spray it. I'm no expert, but isn't mold on the structure of my home one of the main things meant to be prevented by a restoration company?

Also, we ended up having to do the majority of the painting, which they said was not their job.

I strongly recommend against using NW Restoration.

I could not have had a better experience. Every single person who came out was so kind and friendly and efficient. Especially Linda. She worked her butt off to make sure me and my children did not have to go without water anymore than we had to. She fought with my insurance and handled everything. I never had to deal with my insurance to receive payments or approvals. It was all Linda and the rest of the staff at NW Restorations. Please do not waste your time going anywhere else. They all went above and beyond.

I worked mostly with Bart at NW Restoration. He was responsive and helpful.
I had an unfortunate communication issue with a subcontractor, but Bart was quick to resolve the issue.
The repair work on my siding was done in a single day, and matches nicely with the rest of the house.
