Recently, I had a new roof installed by Northkit. Weather kind of held the project off a few days. But Frank stayed in constant contact, updating us on when the crew could get to us. They arrived early and were professional about their work.

For the next couple of weeks I will report several reasons why you should not hire this company - I am a very dissatisfied costumer, that from day one experienced many issues, and ONE year after the job was done they are still to fix many problems , from poor installation, to faulty materials . Last time I wrote a review, meaning last year, they had the audacity to threat our family with a cease and desist letter from their lawyer, instead of focussing on the problem, yes, you read it right. Then, the owner got involved and said they would fix everything - well, here we are after dozens of back and forth text messages and phone calls , still waiting.

- a very very expensive Anderson slider “they had in stock” , that initially was installed with doors from different models, yes you heard it right, and they would leave it like that if we didn’t say anything. Then, less than a year later the gaskets started breaking and detaching - reached out many times - never came back.
- my front door , installed very poorly, the borrow rubber that seals the door is shredded into peaces - they were also made aware about this many times, still nothing . What worries me the most is that , if they don’t come back to fix what they just installed , what makes you think they will come back years from now, when things are still In The “warranty” and aren’t working???This is extremely concerning

During demo phase, not only the project manager was incredibly rude, but also, they tried to rip us off with the amount of sheets they used on the roof (if it wasn’t for my neighbor making a video of the roof replacement, we would would have to pay more for that), there was a leak in my kitchen sealing , that they proceeded to “fix it” by spray painting it- yes, among other issues.

Currently (June 12th, 2025), one year and 2 months after they finish the job, none of the issues still remain to repair , there’s a leak on a bedroom wall, that they don’t know where it’s coming from, and therefore, they won’t fix it - and the owner, frank - he is “really, really sorry about it”, while every time I call him he is somewhere on vacation- it must be nice!!! great ! Now I am contacting BBB and filing a complaint and calling Anderson and United to see if I can get replacement items and install them Myself- again - at my own expenses

Northkit did a really nice job replacing the siding on my house and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I'm getting lots of compliments from my neighbors. I appreciated the variety of financing plans. The work was fairly efficient. There was some inconvenience in that they started the work before they had all the materials needed in hand, and when they ran out, the supplier had a one week delay in delivering more, so that was a week of slight aggravation. But overall, the team was easy to work with, there was great oversight and communication from Gus, the team leader, and again, the place looks great.

They were probably the best company I chose to go with. Super professional, respectful and got everything that I need done. Any questions I had were answered, definitely recommend to anyone looking for the service

Having fixed the siding, replacing my roof and bidding on another project, they work well within the proposed schedule, are fair, honest and hard working. Customer service is clearly not in Northkit's toolbelt. It almost seems like they employ a sales technique taught at car dealerships in the 90's. As a salesperson myself, it felt very odd experiencing firsthand these "sales tactics" Northkit used. High pressure (the representative insisted I needed to decide "right now" for a "limited time offer"), shaming competitors, and misleading pricing tactics. They quoted me one price for paying by check, and a significantly higher price for their supposedly "interest-free" financing. For example, a project quoted at $10K when paying by check jumped to $12K with their "interest-free" 36-month financing. That's effectively a 12.24% annual interest rate hidden in the higher price—hardly "interest-free" as advertised.

I can't speak for the quality of the work they did, as we never got past the initial conversation. No follow up email with quote, phone call, or even text. No samples were left, no explanation of services, and overall just a bad vibe.

Based on my experience, I recommend exploring companies that prioritize genuine customer relationships over high-pressure sales tactics. Perhaps, less focused on trying to nail a sale on a first date.

Added more stars to the review for a single reason, the owner reached out and asked to talk about this. I value and appreciate folks who are willing to hear criticism and experiences, both good and bad. While we agreed to disagree on business models and sales tactics (which is completely fine, not everyone will buy the same), we did find common ground on the fact of reflecting on experience and learning from it. The owner was genuinely interested in hearing my thoughts and taking it back to the team to find areas they could improve. I think that's a crucial and important step to a successful team and company. So, hats off to the team for handling a 1-star review with the best possible thoughtfulness and tact. Best of luck out there on the market!

My wife and I couldn't be more happier with our final results. We did new siding, windows and roof along with some other touch ups. The crew was always on time, worked very well together, always cleaned up. They never rolled their eyes on any request that we made, they just made it happen. Great communication throughout the project. It was a large job with many moving parts but they made it look easy! I had high expectations but they exceed them. Shout out to the entire team and workers. Chuck, Gus, and Vaughan were all terrific. I would highly recommend Northkit Roofing!!

Vaughan and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional throughout the whole process and the install team was fantastic. Very happy with the financing options that we were offered, the rates were much better than what other contractors showed us. I highly recommend Northkit!

Very salesy and pushy. The sales representative wanted me to make a decision within a hour of his presentation to lock in a price that was allegedly only being offered for that day. Refused to draw up a proper proposal when asked for documentation showing all that’s included in the price. Was told that’s only sent to customers once a contract is signed. The resistance with accommodating such a common/standard request solidified that I would not be giving my business to this company. In addition the sales guy was more focused on talking up their awards/accolades instead of providing me with photos, examples of their work(specifically the James Hardie siding, board and batten style). I was not willing to spend approx. $80,000 with a company that can’t provide me with an itemized proposal and photos of their projects. Unfortunately, this company fell short for my particular needs. The rate in which I was initially quoted was pretty standard with other exterior companies.

We had use northkit for our roof two years ago they were great. Answered any questions got back to us when we called. Now we used them for gutters and replacing old wood. I would reccomend them 100 percent. They called us after jobs were done just to make sure we were happy with work.

I have recently done my siding change with Northkit roofing. Even on bad weather season they have finished the work on time. I had to change my whole siding plywoods which was additional cost identified and Gus and Chuck helped to get in good price. The siding crew were awesome and happy with end results. Gus was punctual and communicative throughout the entire process.

I have already received compliments on the level of craftsmanship done with our efforts on the exterior of my family's home.  I have heard many compliments on the asphalt shingles.  I am very glad we chose to use the Premium line of shingles.  Their architectural design adds shadowing and roof character, that no other home on this block has in their roof.  They have a beautiful tab shape, and the array of colors match very well with the yellow siding, as suggested by your consultant.  Our renovations on the roof and gutter system shine a brilliant white, and sparkle like the snowflakes that are about to fall.  Good thing we got the job done in time, LOL.

The warranty was a primary factor in deciding to use Northkit Roofing, and Atlas shingles.  Thank you very much for your excellent work.  I am very happy and satisfied with the excellent experience I received from your team, from the beginning phone call and quote all the way to the final gutter run was completed.  Your team was exceptionally talented, and did not let any "hidden treasures" we found stop us from accomplishing the entire roof, and a large garage, in exactly the time frame promised despite the "complications".

High pressure sales from the get go. They sent someone who was extremely unprofessional and then started shouting at me when I asked him to leave my property. I almost had to get the cops to get them to leave. They were also nearly 3x the price of competitors. Why the roofing business is infested with these slimy sales tactics is beyond me. They feel like they’re shaking a money tree with homeowners who just want to fix up their homes. Avoid!!!

They are correct that I am not one of their customers. I avoided that by refusing their sales pitch and declining their services. They can deny all they want but I have the entire interaction with their unprofessional salesperson on surveillance video. The review is accurate.

I recently had my roof replaced, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received. The crew completed the entire job in just one day! They were on time, worked quickly, and did a thorough clean-up afterward. Everything was put back exactly where it belonged before they left.

A special shoutout to the project manager, Chuck Burnett. He was present the entire time, answering all of my questions and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Chuck even came back the next day to connect the solar skylights with the remote, which was an unexpected but much-appreciated follow-up.

There was a minor issue where a fan was accidentally left off the original contract by the salesman. I called to address it, and the salesman immediately reached out to Chuck and the owner to sort it out. Chuck left for 20 minutes, returned with the fan, and had it installed right away. I was truly impressed by how quickly and professionally they resolved the issue.

I would absolutely use this company again for any future work. Their dedication to customer service and attention to detail really stood out. Highly recommended!

North kit installed Hardy siding as they are an authorized installation center. House looks great breathed new life into the house..They were pretty clean Gus communicated well with me and I knew at every stage of the job where we were. At the end of the job Chuck had great follow up. I would recommend them.

We got our siding and windows done. In the beginning the communication wasn’t great and had us nervous about the project. But once Gus and his team came, that feeling went away. Gus was able to answer any question we had at anytime of day. If we wanted something done during the job, they were able to accomplish it no problem. Even when the job was done we noticed some small issues, but we told Gus and the issue were resolved the next day. We are thrilled with the finish product

Fantastic work! I was having problems with my roof and knew that I was in need of a new roof. I got 4 estimates from different roofing companies including them. The price was reasonable and right in between the other estimates I received . They were the only company where a secretary picked up the phone and made and appointment right away. When Michael showed up for my estimate I was very pleased he didn’t force anything on me or use any pushy sales tactics like the other guys. Michael perpared an estimate on the spot and went over each step of the installation showing me pictures so I understood what he was referring to.
I felt comfortable going forward with the new roof and a couple of weeks later they were there to start. They showed up with about 10 guys, they protected my plants and shrubs and were always cautious not to damage anything around the house. Before they started the job the project manager Chuck Burnett once again went over all the details to make sure everything was what I had chosen. They called us multiple times throughout the day to go over anything they found. They were polite and did everything they said they would do. Their clean up crew came and left my house how it was before they started. Which was something that was important for me not having to worry about it after they left.

Frank was amazing throughout the entire process, made things very simple and was always reachable to answer any of my questions. Definitely recommend going through Northkit.

There were couple of hiccups along the way. However, the crew working on the replacement of the siding were the most hardworking people I have ever seen: working long hours in the summer heat. In 5 days the job was completed on the 2k square foot home. Gus was in top of the things all along. The price fot the project was dissent. I recommend Northkit roofing.

My roof was done it one day. Frank was super friendly and kept me in the loop the whole way. I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing a new roof! Did I mention what a beautiful job they did? My roof looks amazing!!

Chuck Burnett was great, very helpful. Always available for anything we needed.
The house came out awesome. The work area was organized and cleaned up every day before they left, which was important because I have young kids and dogs in and out all day.

Our house was transformed by Northkit for a reasonable price. In comparison to other contractors and companies they were by far the most responsible and even had the best quality siding. I like that they have the option to guarantee their work for 50 years for only 1000 more. When it comes to the details on our home they transformed my house. Anything I asked for North Kit did their best to accommodate. There was a misunderstanding and our gutter guards were tossed out, but they replaced them free of charge. Our siding was completed in about one week time, the team was neat and cleaned up my yard, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend the NJ Northkit team!

Northkit Roofing had the best price and customer service out of 3 roofing contractors I had. They replaced my chimney and Cupola flashing with excellent quality. Initial call and presentation was great. However when the time came to discuss numbers, it was all high pressure sales tactics. Guy had to go outside to call boss for a better number two times. Further he said I had to agree that same night and would not even give me the weekend. He said if I called back a few days later it would be more expensive. The overall job was basically 6 figures and they couldn’t even give two days to think about it. Unacceptable. Further instead of contacting me they block on Facebook.
