In 2023 NHB refurbished my old detached garage and made it into a studio with a loft. In 2024 they pretty much gutted my main home and added two master suites to the floor plan. Andrew had some great ideas to improve the plans and assisted me with the application processes. I am very happy with the end product and would highly recommend NHB for your building projects.

In January of this year (2024), my sewing studio, a converted shed, was severely damaged in a storm when a tree fell through the roof. I wanted to work with a local builder, and searched Google to find someone. Based on the 5-star reviews, I called Andrew. He listened to my story and said he thought he could work it into his schedule and would stop by. I think he felt sorry for me, because it was a mess. I gave him a copy of the insurance assessment, and he sent me a bid.
As soon as weather permitted, he and his crew started. It was a challenge for them to work around the sloppy work done by another contractor last year. The interior paint was badly done. A couple of sections had to be replaced inside and out. Andrew said he would feel uncomfortable to leave it as is and arranged for it to be resurfaced. He did an amazing job matching the type of siding on the exterior and the color.
Andrew is a super nice, conscientious contractor, and likewise has great subs working with him. My studio actually looks better than when the remodel was originally completed. I don’t hesitate to give him a 5-star rating.

In early 2022 we contracted with Andrew Nash to build a master bedroom/bath/closet/etc. addition, and to demo and reconfigure the interior first floor, of our beach house in Mason County, WA. We had never undertaken a project like this before, but had considered and rejected two other contractors before finding Andrew. And we're so glad we did!
We found Andrew to be knowledgeable, honest, straightforward, responsive, timely, and all of the other qualities that you would want in someone you are entrusting with a major project like ours. The project was completed on the timeline that Andrew discussed with us, and the quality and outcome was everything we expected and more. Moreover, he took all the time necessary to respond to my (newbie) questions and ideas, and I learned a lot during the process.
Subsequently we contracted with Andrew to convert our two car carport into an enclosed garage (which went perfectly), and we are presently in the preparatory stages of contracting with him to build a gazebo roof over our waterfront deck.
Through all of this I have come to regard Andrew as a friend, and we have advised each other on a number of matters. We have developed a level of confidence and rapport with Andrew that has enabled us to refer him to several of our waterfront neighbors, and he is currently in progress with construction projects for them.

Andrew did a great job on our 2000 sq ft garage. Very detailed, conscientious and polite. No radios or foul language. Very rare for a contractor. I would definitely recommend him and illustrator crew.

In 2020 I contracted with Nash Home Builders to build an Alan Mascord Design Associates 2014 winning Street of Dreams home plan. We made several changes to the original design including a two car Porte-cochere at the entry, an expanded 4-car garage, a couple of covered porches that match the home’s roof line, a 550 sf executive family dining room with soffited ceiling and elongated dome center section. The roof truss design was extremely complicated and he worked closely with the truss engineers and assembled a beautiful looking roof. The plan consisted of 20 ft ceilings in some locations and the team always worked in a safe manner. My inspector commented that we exceeded building codes.

His crew was professional and on time each day. He did the rough framing and later I had him come back and install the exterior house wrap and the exterior siding.

His communication was always prompt, clear and concise. He is family oriented and even brought them to the job site to tour his work one day…what a treat for my wife and I ! I have total trust in him and will contract again when I build another shop on the property.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
