When I called John about my roof he came over quickly, and fixed my problem. John was very polite and his price was reasonable. Will be calling on him about other jobs.

I had two large windows that leaked during a hard rain. John came out within a few hours and did a temporary seal until he could come back. When he came back he reframed the windows inside and out, painted, stained and sealed. Looks great. He also did several other small fixes and he is coming back in a few weeks to pressure wash and fix a few more things.
A few years ago, he built a fence with a door around my heat pump area. Always excellent work.

I have used John Morton twice to replace rotten Masonite siding with Hardie Plank on a roof gable end and recently to reinstall window shutters, very pleased with the work, John is very responsive and does great work at a fair price.

John Morton was such a lifesaver for me. I had an unpleasant experience with a previous contractor who made a lot of mistakes and wanted to do quick fixes, such as fill multiple wide gaps in door casings with caulk (to fit new drywall) instead of taking the time to cut wood strips for a more quality end result. I knew I would need to find someone else to finish this project. After reading John's reviews on NextDoor, I called him and he came the same day to check out the space in order to give me an estimate on time and price. Within two days he gave me his estimate, and a week later he was able to start. John worked tirelessly, even through the weekend (he volunteered) to make sure the many tasks were completed before the scheduled date the following week for my wood floors to be laid. He painted the walls and ceilings, patched drywall holes, cut and hung new crown molding and door casings, as well as cut strips to fill the gaps in interior door frames. He also offered to come back after the floors were laid to do any paint touch ups that would be needed from the floor installation, and followed up on that the very next week, when he also installed door threshold strips. John is pleasant to work with, and works hard to get the job done. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home improvement project.

Amazing. Have not had the best of luck with contractors and skilled repair people. John came and gave a fair estimate, then promptly came to do the work which he finished and cleaned up after in a very short time. Quality work, pleasant and professional. We are keeping him on speed dial.

John worked 2 days all day to repair my damaged masonite siding with hardy board. In addition he caulked and painted the repaired siding to match the existing siding.
He did a complete through job.
I have complete confidence in his ability to get the job done completely.

John was absolutely Amazing and I am so glad we found him! We had a laundry list of things that needed to be done before listing our home such as a new bathroom ceiling, drywall, paint, custom work, and installing an exhaust fan. He not only did what we asked, but went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. You can tell he takes pride in his work and is very knowledgeable. All the small things he did, that he didn’t even have to do, made all the difference for us. 10/10 would recommend.

I contacted John for a rather unique job, and half expected him to politely refuse. After a short discussion he told me he'd be able to get to the job later in the week. Unfortunately, due to the nature of his line of work, I had absolutely no expectation of him ever contacting me again. So much so I told my wife we should contact a few people so hopefully at least one follows through.

The very next day John offered to come over. Unfortunately we already had an appointment scheduled at the same time. Great, I thought, I was given a miracle and I blew it by not being available.

The next afternoon John once again offered to come over. He was almost exactly on the money for when he said he would arrive. He was extremely polite and courteous. He got the job done beyond our expectations. The job was actually for my elderly mother who has recently become a widow. She demanded I stay while he was there. Shortly after his arrival she felt so at ease she told me I could head home and didn't need to stick around.

All told, I'm keeping his contact in my phone and have every intention of contacting him again when the need arises.

I have called John several times over the past two years. He has completed a wide variety of carpentry and general repair jobs. He always returns my call, shows up when he says he will, gives a thorough estimate, and completes the job to my satisfaction. I will always call him first for help with home repairs.

John has helped fixed several things in our home, including a toilet leak, closet door issue, and garbage disposal. He’s great at communicating times and easy to work with!
