Myrick Home Inspections

David Myrick of Myrick Home Inspections is the worst home inspector in North Carolina and possibly the entire USA. The guy is clueless. He missed four major foundation issues and a host of other things at the home we purchased based off his inspection. There are literally holes under the crawlspace in the center supporting foundation walls that are big enough for a bear to walk through. We found this out when we hired a plumber to do some work the week after we purchased the home. The plumber called us into the crawlspace to show us what he had found. I mean a blind person that inspected the crawlspace could have found these holes but we had an inspector with two good eyes who didn't see this? Mr. Myrick admitted he missed the issue and stated he would immediately file it on his insurance. Weeks and then months went by with no information regarding the claim he said that he filed. We had to threaten legal action to even get him to file the claim. A couple of days after we threatened legal action he finally filed the claim. In the meantime we hired another home inspector to go over the entire house because we didn't trust Mr. Myrick. The problems they found are unreal! There will now be additional claims filed against his insurance. This guy needs to choose another profession. We have had to move out of our house and will likely be out of it for many months. Do not hire David Myrick or Myrick Home Inspections. It is truly the worst mistake we have ever made. Picture below is of the first check we received from this clown's insurance company. More checks are on the way. Follow up to this review. We were forced to move out of our home for six months. Mr. Myrick's insurance company ending up paying out over $120,000.00 in claims.
