Joab did a great job. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He was not put off by the fact that he had to drive off the road to reach my structure. I really enjoyed my interaction with him and he gave me a complete inspection with a good explanation later. He’s very good at what he does.

5 star service. My technician Joab was outstanding. He called me ahead to let me know he was on the way and was a great communicator throughout the service visit. He let me know what he was doing and looking for at all times. And he was extremely clean making sure he left the area he worked on as it was before he started work. Lastly, rather than trumping up charges for unneeded parts for the problem I was having, he found out that my gas fireplace simply needed new batteries which he replaced. I can't recommend Joab enough. He's an outstanding representative ofr Mr. Smokestack and he really gets what excellent customer service is all about.

These guys did a great job. We had a leak that caused mold and damage to the chimney and the insert. They were thorough and thoughtful in assessing the damage and building a quote. Every person who came to our home was friendly and helpful. The financing was easy. They replaced the insert, flue, surround, and repaired the chimney and capped it. The final result looks great and works perfectly. We LOVE our new fireplace!

Today, I visited the physical location expecting a showroom and information on a wood-burning wood stove. No showroom. I walked around back after seeing an office sign to find out information on brands sold...this was a cubicle office full of people and no one could give me the name of one brand they sell or one piece of literature. Absolutely zero information on products they sell was known by anyone in the office. I ran two fireplace showrooms in Moore Co for many years and left shocked due to the reviews I found on Google. I can't say anything about their services or work, but I can say don't waste your time visiting the physical address. I can't imagine someone walking into my business that sells fireplaces, and I couldn't even offer them one website full of information and a handful of literature. Really mind blowing to me. It looked more like a call center. The prices I read in a couple of reviews are high, too. Thankfully, the next business I visited was much more helpful.

From start to finish, working with Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service went very well. They came to our house to assess our needs for fixing/replacing our gas logs. Customer service, scheduling, initial and installation were all done very professionally.

It took a little while to get the appointment, but I was very pleased with the service I received - the technician was on time and explained everything he was doing. Our gas fireplace is now functional again. I was also sent a report of the work that was done for my records.

The technician was very friendly, arrived promptly, and took care to maintain cleanliness by putting on shoe covers before entering my home. He explained everything thoroughly, with pictures and a full inspection report, which I really appreciated. While the first technician misdiagnosed the issue, the company went above and beyond to make it right. Propane fireplace glass broke and Mr. Smokestack came out, ordered a replacement and had it installed with no issues. Great communication, great service.

Recently had Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service install a new wood stove insert, chimney liner, and chimney cap in my home. I'm delighted with the service we received - the responsiveness of folks in the office, and professionalism and good humor of the folks who came out to do the work were remarkable (our roof is steeply pitched and they were really great about it). I'm happy to have found such a solid company for this service, and foresee using them indefinitely.

We had a wonderful experience. Our fireplace had several issues and our tech Tyler identified all three issues very quickly and spent time making sure that all issues were resolved. Tyler took the entire fireplace apart and cleaned it before putting it back together, and making safety improvements. Overall it was a great experience from start to finish with a timely arrival, and a polite interaction. We will be using this company for all fireplace related issues.

Totally forgot to put this here before the new year. Gotta say that the service was very professional and respectful. Not to mention the short time they took to explain our situation with our chimney. I don't know a thing about chimney maintenance but it was such a big help to get a crash course. Excellent service. Tyler was very knowledgeable and was able to fix my (very old) gas fireplace. He also taught me a lot about how my fireplace works and gave me some pointers on how to keep it running efficiently. Will definitely use Mr. Smokestack in the future.

Donnie & his crew worked diligently to put a new chimmney cap on, pull out our gas logs, remove our fireplace insert, remove the mantle, remove tile surround to replace the floor boards under our fireplace. They put everything back together & installed new stacked stone around the fireplace & tile on the hearth. They also replaced the switch to the blower. It was a big job. They were on time and did everything they said they were going to do. They worked together to get everything done and it looks amazing!

These guys stand behind thier work and are on time, every time. Had some issues with my new insert and even after the job was paid in full they made repairs a priority and addressed the issues in a matter of days.

I hired Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service to clean/sweep two chimney's in my new home - one wood burning, the other gas. The technician, Joab, did a fantastic job! Friendly and efficient, he also answered all my questions. Before I felt a little creeped out by these old fireplaces, but Joab did such a great job, they're almost like new. I'm so happy!

Donnie and his team and Mr Smokestack were fantastic. Chimney looks beautiful. Easy process. It wasn't cheap but our chimney wasn't an easy fix. They were the first people we called for an estimate and the best ones. Knew exactly what to do and what needed to be done to get us fixed up. Especially with a slick tin roof.

Mr Smokestack replaced a chimney chase cover & cap, ran gas lines for a fireplace and a generator, and installed a set of gas logs. Rodrigo and his partner did most of the work, and then Donnie and his partner came later to finish things up. Everyone was super professional, knowledgeable, explained everything they were doing, and answered all of my questions well. The price was not inexpensive, but it was the lower of two quotes I received from two highly rated local companies. I'm interested in the best quality work, rather than the lowest rock bottom price I can find, especially for someone who will be working on my gas lines, and quality work is what I got with Mr Smokestack. I would gladly make the same choice again.

The entire experience with the Mr Smokestack team has been excellent. The initial technicians who came out were very knowledgeable and explained my options for replacing my existing gas fireplaces. The technicians who came out to inspect and clean the chimney were thorough and kept my house clean while they cleaned the chimney. The office staff have been kind and made sure I stayed informed, and also offered me earlier appointment times when they became available. Finally the technicians who came out to install my new gas logs were very good. They were finished in about an hour and made sure I understood how to work the new system. Very professional, thorough, showed us the areas of concern and what needed to be addressed soon and what could be put off but kept an eye on. I liked his friendly manner and honesty, and that he didn't rush the job. I would definitely want him to come back next year. He's a great representative of the company!

Mr Smokestack did thorough work in their cleaning and inspection of my wood burning fireplace. Even crawled into my attic and crawlspace to evaluate the conditions there! Great work all around!

Our chimney was leaking several gallons of water after heavy rainfalls and needed repair. Mr Smokestack identified six damaged bricks, several holes in the mortar and cracks in the crown at the top of the chimney where water was entering.

Our technicians were Kentrell and Asher. They were both very nice, conscientious and did great work. Our chimney was very tall, hard to access and required an intricate network of platforms, ladders and safety lines. In addition, they identified a couple additional bricks that needed work. As a result, the job took several hours longer than estimated, but even though they had another job to do afterwards, they did not rush and spent all the time required to do the work properly.

They took pictures of all the work both before and after and explained all the work they had done. We are extremely happy with the work and, while we have not yet had a hard rain, we are confident all the work will have fixed the leaks. And if not, Mr Smokestack says to call them and they will be happy to resolve any issues.

We had one technician and one trainee. While the technician had nothing to say, the trainee was quite talkative, but in a most informative way. BHH, he was trying so hard and had his heart and mind in the right place! It was a very thorough inspection, with lots of explanations of what would be happening, loud sounds, roof exploration, foundation exploration, etc. I was overall very pleased with how things went. What I was NOT happy about was the office had a problem with a past resident's name being used instead of mine after repeatedly stating I was not the previous client. Additionally, I was quoted a time of between 2-4 pm, with an email stating 2 pm. At 4:15 pm, I was contacted by the technicians to let me know they were running late and would be here in 20 minutes... At 4:55 pm, they pulled up in the driveway WITH APOLOGIES, but it still threw the remainder of my day off. Better communication skills in the office is needed. Better time management with technicians is needed. And maybe switch to decaf for new folks. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone needing a chimney cleaning or chimney inspection.

I used Mr. Smokestack to replace the glass doors on my fireplace. The box stores sell them, but don't install them. The guys were professional and did a nice job. I recommend this company.

Great install on my new gas insert fireplace. They were on time with appointment. The work had some problems with the location of my old fireplace and they came up with a solution that worked great ! Took time after the install to thoroughly go over the operation of my new fireplace operation. Can easily recommend Mr. Smokestack!

They showed up promptly and sent a text they were on the way each day and worked diligently rebuilding my chimney fireplace. I am so glad I found them. Evaluation of our "unique " chimney situation as it related to installation of a wood stove was prompt and thorough.
Installation took longer than expected but so far (2 days) we are pleased with the stove. Both young men who did the install were pleasant, knowledgeable, and took care to protect our floors and rugs. All in all, a good experience

Had a wood burning fireplace insert installed at my home. The technicians that did the install were very nice and were happy to answer any of my questions. They put down drop cloths and were very neat and paid attention to make sure things stayed clean while working.

Mr. Smokestack spent 2 months diligently searching for the reason why our gas fireplace stopped working. After replacing a few firelog components they discovered the primary problem was that the main valve on the pipeline feeding the fireplace had been inadvertantly turned off. Mr. Smokestack graciously refunded the cost of an expensive unnecessary component but let us keep it, and the fireplace is as good as new. This kind of business integrity is special and needed to be said.
