Josh and his crew did a fantastic job I would highly recommend. Mr Gutter I look forward to using them in the future as well. Their work was fantastic.
Please note the 5 star review from Josh C is probably the Josh Campbell that you get when you contact them.
Contacted the company to see if I could get repairs when I noticed multiple issues on my home. Their voicemail directs you to text; you cannot talk to a person live at this company.
It was going to be a significant delay to get a quote so I asked if I could send pictures which was fine. I immediately got a very reasonable quote back with a time frame of two weeks. Thinking I had solved the issue, I put it out of my mind. About a month later, I realized nothing had happened so I texted. This time I was told they would come “soon”. Between 2-3 weeks later, my wife woke me up in the morning to report seeing legs outside our second story window. Mr Gutter had arrived.
Consulting text messages revealed Josh had texted me at 6:45 that morning to let me know they were coming. They had blocked our driveway so I couldn’t make an appointment but I figured that made up for the cheap price. The crew, some of which weren’t wearing masks, didn’t talk to me except to demand I open the gates when I was walking my dogs. Josh himself wasn’t there. Again, I figured this was the trade off for a cheap price.
Now it’s about a month later. Approximately two days after the last rain, I noticed one gutter That he had “repaired” leaking at a corner. Josh informed me that sealing the corner hadn’t been included in the repair. When I told him that I would have expected him to let me know if anything additional needed to be repaired, he at first said the company doesn’t do that. They do only what the customer asks them to do. Through multiple emails he insisted that customers have to give him their desires and that he does not make recommendations. When I told him (and this is all through e-mail because you can’t talk to him) that I thought it was a pitch problem if water is pooling in the corner, he gave me a quote for a new gutter and wrote, “ Originally I didn't think you would go for that because it looked like your gutters had been neglected for some time...I'm sure the front gutter and all of the detached and missing elbows didn't all happen the same day. From the photos it didn't convey the message that you were a gutter fanatic, as some of our customers are who maintain their gutters perfectly. Instead I thought you just wanted a quick tune up to get the gutters in better, working condition.”
This wasn’t the most sarcastic and disrespectful thing he said to me but I think it’s a fair representation. (Not to mention I corrected him on my name and he continued to address me using my given name which I don’t use which is just a sheer insult done to irritate me.)
In one email, he claimed his lack of customer service and slow response is due to to pandemic and his inability to get workers which is ludicrous. More likely, he’s got tons of business because people like me who travel for business are finally home to observe repairs that need to be made and he didn’t want to prioritize a low value job.
Bottom line, if you want someone who will give you an attractive price but treat you in a condescending manner and do the minimum work to make you think you got a good deal but actually leave your home vulnerable to water issues, this is the exact company you want.
If you want to be treated like a valuable customer by a company you feel is professional, look elsewhere. I am.
