Andy has done three projects for us, one last year and two just completed this summer. The first job was a new kitchen installation with cabinets, sink, range, and custom built counter top with breakfast bar overhang on one side and large work area around the range on the other side to fit around a previously built half wall. He moved outlets from the half wall onto the ends of the newly installed cabinets so they are easily accessible. He plans the best way to work a project, pays attention to the details, and takes the time to make it look very professional.
This summer's jobs were a new roof and a covered porch. On the roofing project, he found and repaired water damaged fascia board caused by a siding contractor who didn't put the correct drip edging along the roof where the metal sheeting contacted the roof shingles. He also created soffit vents under the roof overhang that the siding contractor neglected to take the time to do correctly.
For the porch, he connected the new porch roof into the existing house rafters, built a large 4 ft deep dry well out in the yard to safely drain away rain water, poured the concrete for the steps and four sections of sidewalk, with a drain underneath to connect to the dry well. He stamped the new cement with a flagstone pattern, colored it and sealed everything. He hand textured the new wood columns and stained them to give them a custom look. He hand textured the new wood columns and stained them to give them a custom look. He did a very nice job on the cultured stone on the lower half of the columns, custom built the concrete caps at the top of the stone, and sealed it all to protect from the elements. He also custom fit the down spout on the rain gutter to fit in around the caps and stonework. At the base of the downspout, he put in a large drain cover with a filter that can be cleaned out so the drain that runs under the sidewalk and the dry well won't fill in with debris.
He is a good person, a good builder, and doesn't overcharge. I recommend him without reservation and would have him do any job that we needed done. He can do it all, without charging an arm and a leg. I trust him in my house and trust his judgment as he is very knowledgeable.
