We got a new roof from them and couldn't be happier. Workers were great and cleaned up after themselves, and the sales team was easy to stay in touch with for updates on timelines.

We had an unusual first experience with Montclair roofing and contracting. After being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous roofing company I called Ed at Montclair roofing and explained that we had just had a roof replaced, but were worried about it and could we pay them to come and assess the job. In our first conversation, he said well we don’t charge for but I would be happy to help you out. Ed arrived, on time, with his drone, examined our roof annd explained the job that had been done fairly well however with cheaper materials. He gave us a quick course in what the proper job would have been and how much a job like that would cost. He was very happy to help us. What a lovely company this is! I am so sorry we didn’t call them first! They are our new go to roofers and I would like to let everyone else know what a wonderful generous and honest company this is!

What a great experience came early this morning started setting up promising they will be completed by the end of day. Ed was helpful keeping me informed as they progressed,showed me steps they took to install all the things that I ordered for my job, first class materials used, crew was hard working and knew what to do. Complete job done cleaned up answered any lingering questions for my reassurance 6 star rating will recommend all my friends without hesitation.

The experience we had with Montclair Roofing and Contracting was absolutely stellar. Our contact and lead Ed Scholz provided 10/10 customer service- he took care of us as if we were family. Truly you can’t find customer service like this anymore! Ed was one of three companies who bid on doing our roof and gutters. Another large company felt more like a bad car salesman experience with being pressured to sign on the spot and sold on unnecessary additions. Not with Montclair Roofing and contracting! We got detailed information on options and were never sold on the more expensive option. If anything it was the opposite - Ed was honest about warranties and if anything suggested ways to save us money! The crew scheduled us quickly and did the work so fast we couldn’t believe it! They employed a female roofer who was a delight to watch in her skill. How cool? It was all throughout a smooth experience and we love our roof and updated tanker gutters. I could not recommend them more!

We recently had our roof replaced on our house and 2 sheds as well as a skylight. From start to finish we could not be happier with every interaction with the company. Ed, the salesman was so personable and professional. He showed up when he said he would and did not try to sell us anything more than we wanted, in fact we added on the 2 sheds on our property to redo as well. He explained everything so well, was patient with my questions and was very helpful. The crew showed up the day we had scheduled and worked through the entire day until it was dark. I did not think they were going to get everything done in just one day but they surprised me and did. They worked really hard! They even did a great job with clean up and were all so courteous. We needed to replace the old roof of the house we'd just purchased. If only the inspector had used a drone! Our contact with Montclair Roofing - Ed - is by far the nicest and most communicative contractor that I've met in NJ. Ed is genuinely excited about doing the best job and getting a good looking result. Ed gave us a competitive bid - explained the process - provided some really informative literature - and then we juggled schedules around a long rainy spell. Would it ever stop raining! The roof was completed in a day and now looks lovely. These guys are straightforward - honest - and hard working. Most of all - I know that if there is a problem I can just text and it will be sorted.

Ed and the entire crew at Montclair Roofing and Contracting were a total dream to work with. We knew we had to replace our 100+ year old roof, but it seemed like such a daunting process for us as first-time homeowners. So many other roofing companies didn’t want to work on our Victorian roof.

From the start, Ed was so knowledgeable about what needed to be done for our house, from removing our old cedar shake and replacing it with plywood, to how to deal with our tar-filled Yankee gutters and rotting fascia. Ed was very patient with us, not pushy, and incredibly responsive. Once we signed the paperwork, he was ready to replace our roof the weekend afterwards.

His crew tore down our old roof and replaced it in just over a day! Anything that came up, Ed was there to explain what was happening and whatever changes needed to be made. The crew was completely hard-working and incredibly skilled and talented. They were also thorough with the clean-up afterwards. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Ed says they also work on less complicated roofs, so please take him up on it!

When our roof kept leaking in the big storms we keep having , we reached out to a few companies. Montclair Roofing and Contracting stood out immediately. Their rep, Ed, was highly professional, using a small drone to show us detailed images of the extent of the wear and tear and the need for a new roof. He was the only rep to ask to see our attic, showing us where condensation from poor ventilation was damaging the rafters. That level of attention to detail was consistent throughout the process. Great experience. I dealt with Josh when replacing the house roof and gutters. He is pleasant and thorough. In addition, he constantly follows up and provides updated information. He showed me every material and explained every step. He brought two teams. One for the roof and the other team for the gutters. Both were very pleasant and easy to work with. I wish I found them two years earlier when I had to change my detached garage roof.

He walked me through the installation process and left me with a sample of different roof coverings - no pressure. A couple of weeks ago, we had a leak in the back extension of our roof which occurred over a weekend. We reached out to Montclair Roofing and Ed called us back within the hour. By later that afternoon we had a tarp over the damaged part of the roof to prevent any further damage. Ed provided us with with a fair price to replace that part of the roof, and it was fixed based on the timing of our schedule. Great communication throughout, would highly recommend them!

We had a roof leak at our home and reached out to Montclair Roofing and Contracting. Short version of this review is we are very happy with the quality of job they did and the price was more than fair.

The long version is Ed came out to our house, inspected the roof with a drone and went up in the attic and did a thorough review of our inspection. He gave an honest assessment of our roof and promptly gave us a very fair estimate to do a full replacement. Additionally we were interested in improving the insulation of our attic. Ed and Joe came back out to look at our attic and again provided a fair estimate to include that service in the job.

Ed was very communicative throughout the process and took the time to explain what we were paying for. We set up a date and time. Joe and his team were here on time and did the entire job in one day. They were very careful during the job, respectful of our space to the extent they reasonably could be, and were incredibly thorough about cleaning up and putting everything back the way it was when they got there. Joe was on site during the roof replacement and for the attic work ensuring everything was done to his expectations.

We are very happy we went with Montclair Roofing and Contracting. They were one of two estimates we received. Both were from Owens Corning preferred contractors. Ed's estimate was very fair. Additionally he made me feel very comfortable hiring them based on his knowledge of roofs, his assessment of our roof, and lastly his professionalism. I never felt like I was getting ripped off but instead I felt like Ed and Joe were genuine in doing the right thing by us throughout the project.

If we decide to replace our siding I wont hesitate to reach out to Ed and Joe. Otherwise I feel confident I wont need to reach out to them about our roof for at least 25 years.

Had a small leak from our roof and they determined that it was due to solar panel installation and advised to contact them as it would be covered under their warranty. No bullsh** with bogus repairs.

Lucas arrived on time and provided a thorough assessment. He walked me through the issues in detail and gave me his fair recommendation. The team was able to start the same day and completed as promised. Really great experience all around, I'll be using them for more projects in the future.

They performed a repair/install on a large section of my roof. I couldn't be happier with the service. They were extremely thorough, timely, and professional. UPDATE: It has been over one year since I got my roof done with Montclair Roofing, they told me to submit my invoice to the insurance company and they lowered my home insurance rate!

My roof had a leak on it and turns out it was a much larger issue. I heard a lot of great things about this company so I gave them call. The owner made a trip to my house a few hours later and gave me a quote that seemed reasonable. The job itself was completed only a short week after (Luckily no rain!) and I’ve gotta say.. 5 star service and quality all across the board.

Adonis and his crew made this a seamless experience with no headaches that are usually associated with certain contractors who try and take advange of you.

Today they replaced the shingles on my roof. They stripped it down to the plywood. Replaced a bad section of plywood and re-shingled the roof. All in one day. They did a fantastic job. When they left, there was no mess! And they were able to reshingle my shed as well! That was a last minute add on to the job!

Joe and his crew replaced our 25+ year old roof prior to solar installation. They did a great job removing the old roof, checked the condition of the sheathing, and installed the new roof with architectural shingles. They also reworked three small roof elements attached to the house such as a porch and entry way. The crew was very knowledgeable and conscientious - and fast. Joe took the time to support his crew while answering questions. The drone pics also helped us watch the progress from the ground.
It was a job well done and a fun day. I love watching others work hard!

We called Montclair Roofing after our roof leaked during a storm. Adonis responded quickly, assessed the damage sharing real time drone footage and gave a quote for different remedial options. His team were onsite and performing the repairs within an hour as more rain was expected. Highly recommend.

Adonis and Montclair Roofing were the absolute best in all aspects!! We had damage to our roof from Hurricane Ida and our insurance company told us we had get estimates for the repair. Adonis was my 3rd estimate and he made the other 2 companies look like amateurs! I have an old house in Montclair and he knew right away that he had to take a look at the attic to see if it was up to code (none of the other companies did!). Of course it wasn't and he told us that no roofing company could just repair part of the roof that it had to be replaced completely in order to bring it up to code.
From this point, he handled everything with our insurance company, following up with them, giving them the information they needed AND they loved him too! He was professional and knowledgeable and we knew we were in good hands!
He set up the expectations for what the job would entail and any questions I had, he happily answered them. Adonis was so patient throughout this whole process as we were dealing with my insurance company and the holidays, I just can't say enough good things about him! We love our new roof!

Used Montclair Roofing to repair facia that was blown off a high peak on the house. The crew was on the roof in a matter of minutes of their arrival- very impressive. They measured and installed the new aluminum in a quick and efficient manner. We will definitely use then again when it's time to replace the roof.

Don't take a chance with your roof...it's too important! Tony and his team just installed a roof on our 95-year-old Montclair Colonial and we're very happy with the results. Adonis of Montclair answered on first call and gave me a financially reasonable quote within 24 hours. His crew were very professional and extremely hard working. Poor experience with this contractor. First he had me on the schedule for the wrong day. When I rescheduled for the next day, the contractor came and didn't know about the main point of the repair which was to fix leaks in my roof. The work was subcontracted out and the person that came only knew to do the work I originally wasn't looking to have fixed, but was told it was a good idea. Adonis was unresponsive to several calls to try and clear up the issue. I'll be going elsewhere with my business.

I would give 10 stars if I could for Montclair Roofing and Contracting. So I had a roof leak that was wreaking havoc in my kitchen. I called numerous companies to give me a quote for the repair. One guy came out and never followed up with the quote. Other companies did not return my calls or were too busy and could not come out. I was driving down my street and noticed a Montclair Roofing and Contracting sign. I immediately called and low and behold my call was answered. I spoke with Anthony, the company owner, and I told him my roof problem. Since he was just down the street, he came over to take a look. He explained the issues and recommended the necessary fixes. We agreed on payment and here is the kicker, he brought his crew over that very same day and fixed the roof. Wow I was impressed. I found Anthony to be extremely professional and the quality of his work was top notch. Our main roof will need to be replaced next year and I assure you I will be reaching out to Anthony and Montclair Roofing and Contracting for that job.

Tony and his crew worked on replacing a flat roof and fixing a leakage. Tony was really responsive and always available and helpful. Not only did he do a great job with the roof but he also recommended other helpful contractors. I would definitely recommend Montclair for any roofing needs you have!

Working with Tony was an absolute pleasure. Arguably one of the most professional contractors I've ever worked with as he made himself available 24/7, answered all questions and concerns, was present during the work, and was transparent every step of the way. We received 5 quotes total and Tony was very reasonably priced.

Once we were able to nail down a day for the roof due to rain, his team showed up promptly at 7am and had the entire roof replaced in one day, with the gutters taking another day. Two days for everything was great for us and exactly what Tony had promised. His team did a good job cleaning everything up, and Tony even came back himself later that week to help remove a few scuff marks that had found their way onto our siding. The job wasn't done until everything, big or small, had been addressed and Tony made that clear.

His professionalism cannot be understated, and the roof and gutters look amazing. I have no reason to not recommend Tony and his crew - we're already in talks with him about some new hardwood flooring!
