The work done on our house was amazing. The clean up part was good except for the fact we keep finding nails. The communication was awful. Waited over a week to get gutters done and I and husband had to call several times. Was told crew for gutters would be out on a Saturday and nobody showed up and not even a call letting us know. I also didn't appreciate the loud music playing first thing at 7 in the am from the crew. I work from home and didn't like that at all. However I am pleased with how our house looks. Pictures were taken before we got the gutters on.

I couldn't be happier with the way the work was completed. I strongly recommend Midwest Construction for siding and gutter work. My only regret is not calling them sooner. I will be sure to recommend your services to anyone looking. Thank you.

I had 2 entry doors replaced. I’m satisfied with quality of the doors. The installer did a great job. You could tell he had a lot of experience and knowledge on doors and installing them.

We chose Midwest Construction to replace all 18 windows of our 1900 foursquare home last fall and the project was completed this spring. We are very impressed and grateful for their partnership! Alex was phenomenal to work with and the two workers who actually did the labor were respectful and fun to talk with. The Provia Endure windows are a dream so far! We've already noticed a difference in the energy efficiency so far. The team was communicative and worked with us efficiently throughout the project! We will definitely use MWC again when we're ready to replace our siding.

Alex has been amazing throughout our beginning process of our big project! So patient and helpful. We needed to replace a patio door, so we had a few companies bid the job. We went with Midwest due to their competitive pricing and reputation. Levi and his team did an outstanding job. The job was on schedule and during the project, they paid attention to every detail. They ensured the site was left clean and that we were happy with the work. We would absolutely use them in the future.

Midwest just finished installing 2 bedroom windows and a new front door and storm door with a rolling screen. LOVE IT! This is my 3rd project with MWC and each time they've gone above and beyond to keep me informed from order to install. Salesperson came out and was very helpful when I was trying to decide the best options for my patio door. The installer arrived in a timely manner and took his time to install the patio door and took pride in his work. The door fits snugly and is doing a great job keeping out those pesky Asian beetles!

We absolutely LOVE our new Provia Bay Window!! Provia really makes a nice window! Matt was fantastic to work with, promptly answered calls and took questions. He helped us pick out and design our bay window with quickness and ease. Joe and his crew were fantastic installers. Remember, a window is only as good as the person installing. These guys were top notch! I originally wanted a bow window, girlfriend wanted a bay. After discussing with our salesman Matt, he guided me towards the bay and he was RIGHT, the bay looks amazing in our space. I’ve noticed quite a difference in outside noise with the new windows. Triple pane and the low-e makes for a solid beautiful window. We called multiple people for estimates and I have to be honest, I figured Midwest Construction would be on the higher end and I would end up sending them packing after hearing the estimate. But we were taken back and more than pleased with the cost compared to some other over priced renewal window companies. Seriously, give them a call if you are looking for quality windows at an affordable price!!

Brian was awesome and so easy to work with!! I had a hard time deciding on colors for our front door and he never made me feel like I was changing my mind every five minutes (which I was lol). Can’t wait to see the new front door and new storm door!! Thanks again, Brian!!

We needed a new front door and got three bids. We decided to go with Midwest because Alex the sales person explained so well the good quality and lifetime warranty of the door and hardware. And Brent the installer was very nice and did a very good job.

Alex did a complete presentation comparing the different windows available. Midwest Construction gave us an attractive price to replace all five of our windows.
The installers, Joe and Juan, were prompt and finished the project in a little more than a day. The yard was cleared and old windows removed quickly. They were experienced and knowledgeable with their trade, as well as pleasant to be around. Five Stars for sure.

They did a super job on my stairs. I very pleased with their work. They were all very courteous All of the old materiel was picked up and disposed of. You could tell now that new stairs are more sturdy than they were before. Very pleased with workmanship and completed products. This is the second time I have used them. We had some small storm damage and even though the job was small Midwest Construction took care of us and did a job to be proud of.

We had a sunroom installed just over a year ago. Alex was great with explaining everything to us. We had a change request well before install started, and unfortunately it didn’t make it past Alex. While the sunroom is great, it’s not exactly what we wanted. And Midwest didn’t seem to want to make it right either. The heating/cooling unit was installed with a broken cover and we were told once a fixed one is received, they’ll replace it. I cannot use the screen door. Roofing seems shotty and wasps fly in/out all the time. The room itself has been a good addition. Fingers crossed we don’t need to use the warranty.

Top tier construction company. I've gone through two major projects with this company and can't recommend them enough. Project was well planned and the company took the extra time to ensure all details were worked out. Communication was great, the workers that came to execute the project were wonderful house guests, and the final result was exactly as planned. Everything was delivered when I was told it would be delivered, price was fair, and job site was left clean.

My only fear is that other people will find out how great this company is to work with and they'll be difficult for me to hire in the future.

I have worked with Midwest Construction several years ago on a window project, and have currently picked them to do siding/gutters on a different house. I've been extremely satisfied with their service and product quality.

Was superb service from start to finish. Everyone involved was great. Would contact again with other services. Truly appreciated their concerns for us.

Roofers were excellent. Cleaned up very well. Window installers did not work full days, would leave at noon or two pm. A picture frame was broken due to wind, would have been nice to be informed of that. A couple of chips in wall paint.

Our team was great! The two worked well together, paid attention to detail, cleaning up as they worked, explained, answered questions and communicated what time they would return the next day for final installation. I so enjoy my new windows in our breezeway and the outside trim (wrap) matches the other windows on the house perfect! Wow! Might have to have those replaced too! Already planning for the next window project!

We purchased a new front door from Midwest Construction . We had gotten a door from somewhere else and it was a really bad door. Midwest Construction found us a door that was 10 times better and removed the old door and put in the new one. We love it! Plus they were very good about communication. We were informed every step of the way. We really appreciated that!

From the time that Alex Higgins showed up to our house to explain the siding products available to recover our garage from the hail damaged. We liked his professionalism on the product knowledge and going through the construction process and we were ready to sign the contract to get started.

When the project began the installers striped the old siding off and installed the new siding, door seals and facia coverings. When the sun comes up in the morning and shines on the garage it is really bright and clean. I will use your company again for future projects!

Midwest construction was outstanding in every way with excellent customer service. The door was installed with expert workmanship and the quality of the door is outstanding. We already have received compliments of how it looks and the way it makes a big difference from the street view on how it compliments the overall look of the front of our home.

I am thrilled with the service I received from the first phone call to the final install and clean up. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and I never felt pressured to go beyond what I needed. I only needed to replace three windows, and they treated me like I was their best customer. I appreciate that each person I met, from sales staff to installer, have been with the company for many years. These are good people! I'm actually looking forward to doing more business with Midwest Construction in the coming years!

We were very happy with our choice to use Midwest.

Communication was terrible - it was difficult to even get our job properly quoted/finalized. We put a deposit down on our project, and waited 10 weeks before they called back to say our job was "custom" and increased the price of the project by $2200. We have had several companies quote the same job, all agree that the job is not custom - we live in a subdivision with several homes with the same builder/layout as ours, there were never any custom modifications done. It is clear that Midwest misquoted the job, and instead of being honest & owning their mistake, tried to pass the buck to us. They were rude and dismissive when we tried to better understand the situation/ why the plan changed. Just save yourself some time and skip Midwest Construction for your next project.

Edit: the price that we expected to pay was the price that they provided to us in the quote, and again in the contract when we made the deposit. The company measured three different times, with no mention of a custom modification needed. They would not provide the measurements to us afterwards so that we could have a better understanding of the complexities surrounding the job - I assume this is because they know there is nothing custom needed, and were not being honest about why the price was increasing by so much.

Very happy and satisfied with all the work we had done including windows, siding and stone. Installers were great. We have a whole new look to our house.

Our process started with Alex. He came to our home and thoroughly discussed our siding options, pricing, warranties, etc. and answered all our questions. Alex was responsive to our E-mails and helped us get a larger color sample in order to help us decide our color for our insulated siding. Our siding crew, Sean & Aaron, were great to work with. They went over all details with us before starting the project. They were very hard workers and let us know each day what they planned to get done. They were careful of our landscaping and cleaned everything up well before leaving for the day. They did a fantastic job installing our siding and trim and we are very pleased with the results.

We could not be happier with the job Alex Higgins and team from Midwest Construction did on our house. They were the only team to reach out to me after sending some requests out during the home show and came out quickly to give us an estimate. Alex stayed late and explained how the process would work and answered every question we had so we were comfortable in our decision. It was estimated the project would start later in the summer but they were able to fit us in earlier than expected.
The crew that worked on the house were professional and did a great job making sure it was done the way we wanted. We had a structure around our chimney that was in very poor shape and had a discussion about the best way to repair it and after listening to all the ideas came up with the best solution to proceed that kept the project moving and most importantly fixed it properly. The crew even stayed late to make sure it was protected properly with rain in the forecast before they would return. Excellent work!

We had a few windows replaced and everything went like clockwork. Had the job done within the time we were told. They cleaned up and was very happy with everything. Used them in the past and will continue to do so.

The wood on the peaks of our ranch home was deteriorating and we wanted to replace them with cedar shakes. Midwest Construction had an awesome product with much less upkeep and more longevity than cedar. We compared other materials from other companies and they didn’t even come close to the looks or quality that we chose from Midwest. I had a deadline date and they met that a month early. Installation took less than a day. It was done with great care and the cleanup was perfect. The communication was perfect and all promises kept. This is a wonderful company!

We had Midwest Construction install 3 windows and a new sliding patio door on the back of our house. They carried the brand of windows we had previously installed ourselves and having the same brand was very important to us. We decided to have someone install for us this time as we aren't getting any younger and safety was a definite concern. Our salesman Brian helped us create a plan to our satisfaction. The windows were ordered and actually came in sooner than we expected which was great. Our installers worked very efficiently and the job was done in two days. It was right before Thanksgiving and we were going to do the inside trim work ourselves and due to the holidays we did not get started on that project until January. It was at this time we realized we were going to have an issue with the trim placement as the new door was moved some from where the original door was making the new trim unbalanced. We called our salesman and he came out immediately to look over the situation. We took pictures and he went back to the office and spoke with those in charge. We also had an issue with the trim outside the door which was also addressed. The installer and Luke came out to go over a plan with us to fix the situation so the inside trim would work and the outside trim fixed. Luke came back with the installer and helped complete the process. The finished product is beautiful and even though we had a hiccup we are very satisfied with the time and attention given us by Brian, Luke and the whole team. Very professional. Our salesman has checked in with us several times to make sure we are still satisfied. We have one large window in our home left to be replaced and there is no doubt that Midwest Construction will be doing that window too for us. I highly recommend them and we really love our windows. They are easy to clean, screens are easy to get in and out and they have made our home so much more insulated. Thank you for the service you provided and making sure we were satisfied customers.

Midwest Construction were great from start to finish. They treat you like family, they create a cozy feel in their office, our representative Brian treated us with kindness and walked us through the entire process. They were timely coming out to do measurements and were great about communication, setting up a time to install the door, and our door came and was set up earlier than expected. Wonderful experience all around and we would recommend Midwest Constructuon in the future.

Midwest quotes were quick and easy. Scheduling was fast. The window guys were in and out in a day. The only thing I’m upset about is I didn’t swap these windows years earlier. Inside and outside look amazing.

I visited the Midwest Construction booth at the 2023 Iowa State Fair and received information about sunrooms from Alex Higgins. We set up an appointment for him to come to my townhome to discuss more information on replacing my deck and adding a sunroom. Alex was very personable, easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I signed a contract the day he came to my house to put a 12 x 10 square foot sunroom where my 10 x 10 square foot deck was and a new 12 x 10 square foot deck next to it. There were a few customers ahead of me, and I was thrilled when they contacted me to let me know they would start in November 2023. The only glitch was the wall where the townhome siding was removed. At the time I signed the contract the only color available for that wall was brown. Once it was installed I didn't like it because it was too rustic. I was thrilled they listened to me and replaced it with white shiplap. Andy in the Mason City office was also very responsive when I had any questions. One of my neighbors a couple of doors down from me recently asked me if I spend all my time in the sunroom since he usually sees me in there. I'm also really looking forward to summer and spending time on my larger deck. That extra 2 feet makes a big difference. I am super happy with Midwest Construction and my new sunroom and deck. I highly recommend them.

Midwest re-sided and replaced our gutters. They did a great job wrapping our windows and porch posts. Alex and the Midwest crew made the job go well and were easy to work with.

We chose Midwest Construction in 2012 to replace the siding on our home. They did an excellent job and I especially liked the way they angled the siding on the front of the house. We had hail damage due to a tornado in 2022. Again we chose Midwest Construction because we were pleased the first time. Alex Higgins has worked with us on this project. And he has been very helpful in working with the insurance company this time.

The work that was done was amazing we are so happy with the work that was done by the contractors residing our house. It was a big job and they had to work through some nasty weather however they did a Great Job and they never left the jobsite for the day untidy until the last day.
We had a few issues we needed to overcome such as wires being relocated and new wires ran behind the siding(which I placed myself) a new doorbell that needed to purchased cause the Old one that got destoryed during demo. And removing a window which cause some interior problems of tiles falling off from interior shower. Also some Masonary foundation damage caused by the contractor that was brought up right away but then covered up by siding and some damage to our new gutters. I also noticed they didn't reattach some boxes to the house. But Overall they did a 5 Star job.

Aside from that we were very unsatisfied with how the "office" side of things were handled. Our salesman, Alex,was very professional which was one of the reasons we choose Midwest. However when we had questions for him that we wanted answered before we signed the contract he answered them verbally which included things like completion dates, extra work needing done, like thicker insulation, that our loop driveway needed to remain open, and that it would be a Midwest Crew NOT a subcontractor, and that someone would speak English so if we had issues they could be addressed

Also our updates on what things and when things were going to happen almost sounded like an inconvenience from the customer service representative Angela.

Prior to work being started and delivery of materials I thought some of the insulation material looked smaller than 3/8". It was 1/4" insulation and the office was sure it was 3/8" as well. Luke had figured it out that it wasnt 3/8"and made it right by doubling the layer of insulation to make sure it was at least 3/8". However during the process I had to continuly remind the subcontractor to put 2 layers down of insulation which I'm sure was pain for them. I feel like if I wouldn't of paid attention or been around this would of been overlooked. And furthermore some of the fanfold was cut into very small sections on the 2nd story.

We Also wanted to have a window removed and framed in however that required a change order which took 2 days to get?! I was told that the siders need to keep moving yet they wouldn't remove the window without a change order. Midwest had the check before the change order was ever even presented. And the frame out wasn't what I was expecting it was simply 1 3' 2x4, I was expecting more for what the change order price was

Upon completion of the job I had to sign a completion form right then. I asked if I could look it over and then sign it after inspection. Being as there was a significant language barrier I was told to sign now. I feel like this needed to be presented by either a sales person or a Midwest person not their Sub who I couldn't communicate with effectively.

We have also asked to have site cleaned up mainly of nails and materials a person came out within 2 hrs and helped clean up the site. However extra materials still remainednon site for over a week. There really hasn't been an follow up on how the job went or how happy we are. Never saw the salesman, the project manager, only saw a Midwest Guy 2 times.

Sub Contractor Gets 5 Star.

Great communication start to finish. Very fair pricing and even snuck our project in many, many weeks ahead of schedule.

We were so please with the hard work and speed as well as attention to detail. I would highly recommend them and would certainly use them again if needed.

They are great, continual communication throughout process and delivered on all aspects. Will definitely have them do more when needed.

We would like to thank Midwest for sending such a great team to install our windows. Alex Higgins was great to work with during the planning. Everyone at Midwest was personable and professional. They have a wonderful work ethic and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. The product is also exceptional. According to Mid American Energy we use 9% less energy than efficient homes that are similar in size. Heating and cooling temperatures can now be set to energy saving settings and we are very comfortable.
