MAC did the roof through insurance, recently we found a leak in the ceiling due to multiple issues from the roof. we called them and they came out and said no issues on the roof. We got a second opinion and they listed all the issues and we didn't hear from the owner for 3 weeks till now. here are the current issues from their roof job:
1) Remove the compromised flashing at the base of each dormer where the holes have developed due to improper J-Channel installation and tight cut.
2) Install new step flashing and apron flashing at the base and the sides of each dormer to direct water away from the wall and roof intersections. The flashing is not installed properly to be under the shingles to move the water out.
2) Supply and install new shingles at all repair areas to ensure watertight integrity since we found broken singles due to tight cut J-Channel installation and shingles with holes as the screws popped up.
We spoke with Lina and no ETA for the fixes and it seems they don't want to be accountable for their work or customers!!.
Always value companies that offer care and warranty for their work! stay away from them if possible.

I had Lonell Murphy as my project manager. I had an excellent experience. I am totally pleased with his professionalism, the follow through and completion of the project.

MAC worked patiently with us from start to finish to replace our siding, roof, and gutters. They were able to acquire more money than what our insurance company originally allocated. The worker crews were very respectful and thorough from start to finish.

Lonnie Watson from MAC has done a wonderful job working with us and our insurance company to get coverage for a new roof and siding due to damage incurred from a recent hail storm in Sterling, VA. He's now walking us through the process of ordering materials and scheduling the work to be done.

MAC completed replacing our siding and all our gutters last week. Our house looks crisp and clean. We can already tell the difference the insulation is making the temperature is far more even throughout the house and the HVAC is running less - Great job Lonnie!

MAC did a great job once again coming all the way from Virginia to NJ with two days notice. They fixed my roof and honored the warranty. They are extremely cooperative and responsive. I recommend them without hesitation.

Representative showed up at my door. Acknowledged the clear NO SOLICITING sign, and tried to say he wasn't solicting. To SOLICIT means TO ASK OF. In this case, asking to do work - even if the home insurance may pay for it - is still soliciting. If they ignore this who knows what else they'd ignore.

MAC put our new roof on 5 years ago when we had some storm damage. They were fairly easy to work with. As far as we knew/know, the work was done well enough. FF to now.
We have leaks in our porch coming in around our skylights that we've been told was bad flashing work. I had two roofing companies come out and look at it, both indicating skylight flashing issue. I called MAC to discuss since still under warranty. The first person I spoke with was polite and helpful. She asked me to text her pictures which I did. Then I received a phone call back later from another lady. WITHOUT looking at pictures I sent to the company several days ago, the second lady I spoke with insists that it is the seals in our skylights and not the flashing. She then proceeded to discount what 2 other roofing companies had said about the flashing and that they were just trying to make a sale. Well, could it be the same in this instance and MAC is just trying to NOT take care of the mistake? I asked her to look at the photos and give me a call back. I can't force them to fix this but at least have the courtesy to put some eyes on it and then call me back.
Well, she didn't call me back that day. I sent a text to follow-up. She asked me to call the next day after 10a. I called, no answer so I left a vm. No return call. I sent another text the following afternoon. She did not respond. So on the third day I called her, she answered, and she said that she was trying to take the day off and would not be able to look at the pictures today. I indicated it seemed as if she had from her only text response. She then proceeds to tell me she had just washed her hands and didn't have a paper towel so could she call me right back.
Whether or not they are responsible for the leaks, the interaction to-date (when they are coincidentally not taking my money) has been needless to say extremely unprofessional. At minimum, they are responsible for not recommending new skylights at the time they put the new roof on and just putting new flashing around it (which I've now been told is not the way to go). Had I known then what I know now perhaps I could have avoided this whole thing. I will update if anything changes but it's not looking good and wanted others to beware.

I was nervous about starting the process of home repairs. I had a leaky roof and was worried about how to find someone that I could trust. My sister used this company and referred me. I contacted them and David walked me through the process, answered my questions, and left me feeling confident that I had made the right choice. I highly recommend this company! David also worked with my insurance company. The entire process was smooth. I no longer cringe when the weather forecast calls for inclement weather. Thank you MAC!

MAC is a great company. Worked with our insurance company to replace our roof and repair storm damage inside and outside of our home.. Excellent quality materials and workmanship. Timely and attentive to details. Great customer service and communication. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I contacted MAC to address storm damage since they did great work for me years ago. They were communicative, responsive, fast, and pleasant. This time around, it started off well and I enjoyed working with Rami. He was knowledgeable and responsive.
This went fine until the work was completed. The team left a mess in the yard. Although we had the grass cut and the contract talks about how they sweep and clean up, we continue months later to find screws and bent up pieces of siding everywhere. We've been fortunate not to get any in our tires as a lot of it was in our driveway. The crew also tossed trash out into our yard, including some food containers, despite doing so right next to our trash can.
The crew left with no downspouts on our house. We were left without downspouts for a couple of weeks with little to no communication as to why/when it would be addressed. Fortunately, we didn't have any big storms so no damage done.
The leftover materials from the job stayed in our driveway for a couple of months. I had to ask repeatedly for them to be picked up. Eventually they were.
On the back of the house, they put a frame around our electrical outlet, which makes it borderline unusable. It's been great having folks come by the house and tell me, "See? You can open it?" by wedging their finger in, scraping it against the frame, and alternately using a screwdriver to open it. I've been back and forth so many times asking for a resolution. I didn't get a lot of communication until Rami had someone from the office, Jane, tell me *I* had to hire an electrician to completely replace it. Rather than show ANY empathy, she just kept trying to tell me how technically aluminum and vinyl siding are different.
As I asked how we can close this out, which is something I've been trying to do for months and trusted Rami to do on my behalf with insurance... I was asked to pay some remaining balance of a few thousand of insurance money I was "holding". This check was cashed in June and I was only asked for a portion of it. I would be happy to pay in full once we close out with insurance. At this point I don't even care about a resolution for my outlet.
I do not recommend MAC... at least not if you're working with a combination of Jane and Rami. Service and empathy are non-existent here.
EDIT: Found out they haven't even completed the work. They continue to ask me for more payment and didn't finish the roof. At least they're being honest the work isn't done. Really disappointing experience.

Great service, they have did my siding and roof. I am very happy with there services. Thank you all so much for your hard work and time.
From: Greg Bowdre

This team, led by David Vanorsdale did a fabulous job for me. They replaced my roof, gutter and 2 downspouts due to storm/wind damage. He handled everything from start to finish with the job, insurance co and kept me posted step by step.
I love my new roof. I'm very pleased with the entire job. It was a pleasure to work with David.

They were very friendly on time and finished in one day . They cleaned the job all up . Highly recommend.

Mid Atlantic Constructions (MAC) was an absolute pleasure to do business with. We saw them in our neighborhood replacing a number of roofs and struck up a conversation with one of their project managers about how our home owners insurance would most likely pay to have our roof replaced due to storm damage. It was a number of months before we were ready to start the project but once we engaged MAC our project manager - Jason - was easy to communicate with, punctual and walked us through the insurance process with ease.
When it came to the actual work, the supplies were dropped off the day before and loaded on the roof. On install day, they started early - by 6:30AM and were there cleaning up at 8:30PM. It was a long hot day but they completed the roof replacement in a single day and it looks great. We couldn't be happier with MAC!

MAC did a great job in inspecting my roof for the damages caused by hail in last fall and worked with me and the insurance company professionally to have the complete roof repacement as well as the storm water drain pipes within 45 days. They did a good job and I am completely satsfied.I recommend them for roof work.

Mac construction company were amazing ! The roof was completed in one day and they finished the gutters the next day !
They were on time, professional , and did amazing work !
Great job!

They checked out our roof after wind and hail storm, and said that roof had enough wind damage for replacement. They started claim with the insurance and insurance determined that there was no wind damage at all, only natural deterioration damage. They are just trying to make a quick buck, avoid at all costs.

Amazing service from start to finish. They were awesome. The guys made sure to wear masks whenever they needed to speak to us. They were on time explained everything to us and made sure everything was done correctly. My rep tyler grantz (info below) was there from the beginning. Not just for the sale. Would strongly recommend them.

Mr Tyler Grant from MAC did a great job getting our roof replaced. The crew was very knowledgeable and the job was impeccable. No waste was left behind and they even came back to check for any nails after job was completed. We were very satisfied with the outcome. Recommended it to a lot of our friends and neighbors and they had the same experience .

Mid Atlantic Construction is good. The professionalism and quality of workmanship was exceptional. My entire roofing job was completed within 48 hours and it looks beautiful.

Rashad worked with us from inspection to completion.
He worked through the insurance red tape and made sure we were taken care of and satisfied.

I called MAC to schedule a roof inspection, scheduling process was simple and an inspector was on the roof within a few days. There was damage from a storm, MAC helped me throughout the insurance process in opening a claim till getting the roof repair approved. There is lot of work that goes behind the scenes, MAC handled all of that and kept me regularly updated on the status. Tyler Grantz was the assigned project manager, he was extremely helpful throughout the process and always available for any questions.
It did snow quite a bit in February, so all roof work had to be moved for safety reasons. The delays were clearly communicated and the future install date was automatically scheduled due to the weather delays.
The shingles were delivered on the scheduled day and the work started early next day. Replacing roof is a messy affair, there will be nails and shingles coming down on all sides of the house. The crew had covered all the garden, deck, driveway areas and 1 of them was constantly cleaning the debris and magnetically sweeping for all nails.
A big shoutout to Tyler and the crew chief Juan for managing this process so well. Greatly recommend MAC if you are looking for roof repair

Rashad Henderson and his crew installed a new roof and repaired water damaged drywall on my property and i am extremely happy with their work and professionalism throughout the project and i will not hesitate to recommend his services to my friend and anyone looking for quality work.
Thanks Guys for a job well done.

MAC did an excellent job replacing my roof. Vidal Geter, associte, made certain everything was done properly and completed on time. Very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend MAC. My roof looks awesome. ***** Thank you!

MAC did a fantastic job with our new roof. From initial inspection, to material delivery, to install, to clean up, they were professional and communicated every detail every step of the way. They only use top of the line materials and guarantee their work. Highly recommend!!!

MAC did my roof today and did an excellent job from start to finish! The roof looks great and they did a professional job. They were very informative and kept me up to speed the whole project. I would recommend and use them again.

I was apprehensive about replacing my roof because of and cost and the amount of time I thought it would take. It was so refreshing to work with Vidal through the whole process. He was very reassuring and patient as he told me what would happen at each phase of my roof replacement. I’m sure I asked him some of the same questions several times, but he never seemed a annoyed when he replied. I’m very grateful that Vidal referred the company to me. I work use Mid Atlantic for other housing projects and I would with Vidal again.

Update!! Management from Mid Atlantic noticed my complaint and called to discuss my issues. A supervisor was at my home the next day to look into my complaints. We are in the process of resolving the issue.
I should have known from the delay of the install of my roof that this company is not a premier company to hire. After the work they left trash on my driveway for 3 days. I had to have a tire patched because of a hole made by a screw. Most recently I was in my attic and noticed damaged board on my roof. I texted the tech that I worked with. No reply. I called him, he had to speak to someone else about the issue, no reply. I called and left voice mail, no response. Reaching a live person in this company is hard, almost like riding Pegasus at a horse farm. Very unprofessional.

From the moment I met with the MAC Project Manager, Vidal Geter, through the completion of MAC's repairs to my home, I have enjoyed an exceptional home construction experience with MAC! This was my first experience having roof replacement and other major repairs conducted on my home due to storm damage. I am so glad that MAC made things easy to understand and navigate. The service was efficient and painless, but most of all - well done! Most notably, Mr. Geter was very courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about everything involved in the job. He was prompt, considerate, and true to his word, and he ensured that all MAC personnel were the same. They went over and beyond to provide outstanding service from beginning to end. I will definitely use MAC again and highly recommend!

I had my roof replaced with this company and my kitchen ceiling repainted due to water damage and storm damage. The Project manager was very helpful walking me through my options, worked with me on choices and even coordinated the meeting with my insurance rep when I was unable to due to personal issues. I met them both at my home and they were already to work with the inspection with minimal involvement needed from me. My roof looks so good, my neighbors have complimented me and are now calling on our Project Manager to inspect their homes as well! I had read reviews about negatives and experienced none of those in my experience.

I am glad I chose Mid Atlantic Construction to replace my roof. They did an amazing job in a timely manner.

I was very pleased with the service from Tyler Grantz and the Mid-Atlantic Construction teams. Tyler worked with our insurance adjuster and filed all the paperwork. My insurance company had taken more than two months for this process, but Tyler kept me updated with everything and explained to me every step along the way. He was very professional, responsive, and personable. The workers were hard working and professional to get the job well done. Tyler definitely is a great asset to the company. I highly recommend Mid Atlantic Construction if you are ever in need of roof replacement.

MAC worked very nicely with our insurance to make sure everything was covered after some storm damage to our roof. Dave was very quick to respond to any questions and the entire process was very quick and transparent. Our roof is now fully replaced and up to code and there was no mess left behind.

Highly recommend Mid Atlantic Construction. Specifically request project manager Jack McGuirk for your project. He will be extremely professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and thoroughly communicate with you throughout your process.
We had MAC replace our roof and gutters. Jack took care of everything. Very easy process. Jack's attention to detail throughout was impressive, and took to the time to speak with me any time I had a question.
The MAC crew did a great job as well. Timely, efficient, and worked great together as a team.
Thanks to Jack McGuirk and MAC for a great job. If I have another project at my home, Jack will be my first call.

We were extremely pleased with mid-Atlantic construction. Jack McGurk (Project Manager) was very knowledgeable and reliable throughout the whole process. We recommend this company to replace your roof. The workers were fast, experienced, and very efficient.
Our roof looks wonderful. We are extremely pleased with Mid Atlantic Construction. The new roof took 1 day and a half.
Our family rates this company 5 out of 5 stars!! Great team, great work, and great guidance with the process.

MAC is great. Entire process including inspecting roof damage, communicating with insurance company, replacing entire roof, cleaning up after the installation, and inspecting the result went very smoothly. My project manager was Tyler Grantz who managed the entire process very well. Completely new roof looks great and I am very happy with MAC. I highly recommend MAC for all of you who is thinking a roof replacement.

They have done an excellent job of replacing the roof and Jack and his crew were excellent folks to work with. Very responsive and straight forward in their communications and actions. Thank you!

Mid Atlantic Construction was amazing. The professionalism and quality of workmanship was exceptional. Jack was especially passionate about the work and was kindly able to assist me with all my questions. I recommend him to anyone in need of repairs. My entire roofing job was completed within 48 hours and it looks beautiful.

MAC gave us a full roof replacement. They were very responsive, and kept us up-to-date the entire time. They even went out of their way to get the approvals to make sure we had the same type of roof material on our patio. Our roof now looks fantastic. I would highly recommend them!

Great experience with Mid Atlantic Construction. Adam Delimba was very professional and I will recommend to my friends and neighbors. Thanks, Zaw Htoon.

I recommend this company for anyone looking for a new roof as they were very knowledgeable and friendly. Jack was especially very professional, prompt with responding to texts/calls/emails, and overall extremely courteous and understanding throughout the entire ordeal. The crew was on the job site right on time and was able to complete the entire roofing job in less than 48 hours. My family is pleased with the result and the overall project left me 100% satisfied from start to finish!

From start to completion of the project, MAC did a great job. They communicated each step of the process, worked with insurance effectively, and provided a quality roof replacement. We highly recommend working with MAC for roofing needs.

MAC replaced my hail damaged roof. It looks great. They made whole the process very simple. Jack took care of everything. When they were done my dish Network still worked and Their cleanup job was phenomenal. They were very professional and I would recommend them to anybody. Thank you....Rob

I have been remiss in writing a review for work that MAC did for us last fall. People are often quick to post negative comments and I wanted to make sure that I expressed our thanks for the work that was done and the ease with which the process flowed. I am afraid that I can't remember everyone's name we had the pleasure of working with when getting the shingles replaced on our house, but everyone we spoke to were courteous and professional and took the time to answer all of the questions we threw at them. Rashad was our project manager and stayed in contact with us throughout the insurance evaluation process, the delivery of material and the installation. He followed up multiple time afterwards to make sure that we were happy with the work and even came out months later to check on an issue that turned out to be a gutter problem. MAC made the process of getting new shingles installed simple and did a great job for us. Based on our experience, I would certainly recommend their services to others looking to have roof work done.

Mid Atlantic Construction did a great job on roof replacement. They scheduled roof replacement within two weeks and completed the work professionally. We are happy with the work done and will recommend to anyone in need of roof replacement.

Service : Roof Installation
Completed on time, clean, and professional work
Jack McGurk had been great through out the service, taken care of all work

Tyler Grantz totally made this a successful effort. My roof was damaged during a hail storm for which I contacted MAC for assistance. From the moment Tyler showed up to the door to the final inspection; nothing but professionalism. While an unexpected weather delay occurred during scheduling the installation, Tyler was there to keep me informed and assured. The MAC team did it all. Great service.

Mid Atlantic Construction replaced our hail damaged siding. Tyler Grantz was an excellent project manager who ensured all job details were executed to the highest level of quality. He has extensive product knowledge and superior customer service skills. He was a pleasure to work with.

We recently had our roof replaced and couldn't be happier! From the first encounter with Jack to final inspection, everything was done in a very professional manner. Any questions or concerns were answered promptly and the team replacing our roof was top notch. High Recommend!

Tyler and company did a great job. Firstly, they persisted with my insurance to ensure my roof was covered 100%. Secondly, I measure success on a vendors ability to get done right. We had rain challenges and everything did not go smoothly upon initial install. MAC kept coming out too make everything to my liking . Tyler and the workers were very professional. I will be recommending them to my friends.

MAC replaced my roof and did a great job!
My Agent, Jack McGurk was very professional and
took time to explain everything to me. He always made himself available to take my calls and answer my texts which I appreciated.
I would recommend them for your housing repairs.

After a hail storm, Mid-Atlantic Project Manager, Jack McGurk, checked my roof out for any damage, took pictures of some damage he found, and showed me the pictures of the damage. I contacted my home insurance company, while Jack was next to me, to claim the damage.
After that, Jack, a representative from my insurance company, and I, found a time to meet and the both of them checked the roof together.
Once they were done, we all sat down and they explained that the insurance company will be writing a check to me, for a new roof.
Jack and I set a date for the roof to be replaced. The day before it was replaced, a company came by with all of the parts and shingles, and set them on the roof.
Then Jack's crew from Mid-Atlantic came by, took the old roof off, then put the new roof on, and cleaned up, within a matter of about 6 or 7 hours. Jack then, went around the house multiple times, with a magnet, to get all the mails up.
This service completely exceeded my expectations!

MAC and I had a rough start. My father used them to replace his roof, so I decided to give them a try when I found water damage on a portion of my roof that had been replaced as part of an exterior renovation. That was in Aug/Sep 2019 and since then, the case manager for my job had changed four or five times due to turnover. I was about to give up on the MAC until Nolan was put on my case in Feb/Mar 2020. He assured me that he wasn't going to quit or hand my job off to someone else, and seemed to understand my frustration with process till then. There were some initial confusion around the job given that the details had changed hands five times by then, but Nolan was able to sift through it all and finally got it done in June. At the end of the day, the new roof was installed in a single day and it looks fine. Scheduling and turnover were big issues and it took almost a year to get the job done from start to finish, so for all that I would only give them three stars. However, MAC is exceptionally good at working with insurance and despite having dragged my case on for almost a year, they were able to keep my insurance in the loop without any issues or arguments, hence the fourth star. I would definitely ask for Nolan if you want to see your job done in a timely manner. Jane, the office manager, was also responsive and helpful during the process.

Thanks for the work done. I had a former project manager, when he left I was not informed till Tyler Grantz called to say he is the new project manager in charge of the job in my house -exterior & interior. It has been a long time for completing to come fruition due to COVID-19. Tyler would call to notify me of the next step. Even when responses to my questions were not easy to come forth he always promised to get back to me with a response. Thank you Tyler! Polite young man

I had a very good experience with Mid Atlantic Construction of VA & MD. I contracted with them after seeing the work they did for one of my neighbors. Dave Vanorsdale was both professional and timely. He responded to all inquires and kept me updated on the progress throughout my insurance claim. The materials and crews arrived as expected. They worked tirelessly and completed the job in a timely manner. The crews were courteous and they spent extra effort to clean up meticulously. The roof looks fantastic. Note to reviewers that were dissatisfied with their insurance company claim payments- If you sign a contract with MAC to negotiate a claim with your insurance company, it only makes sense that if your insurance company shorts your claim, you'll need to cover the difference of a reasonable project quote. You are certainly free to submit your own insurance claim and then choose an installer. But you're likely not to get the proper adjustments paid on a claim you negotiate-- and, look, you're in the same spot. MAC worked with my insurer to get the claim paid correctly and did go back for an additional claim adjustment on my behalf. There are plenty fly by night contractors-- MAC is not that. Dave and his entire crew were as expected-- prompt, timely, responsive and professional. From initial estimate to installation was 90 days. If you think your roof won't protect you another day (see another review) perhaps you should mitigate that situation before you blame the insurance process. I have recommended MAC to other neighbors who have had the opportunity to observe their process and finished product, and they were happy to discuss their own situation.

My roof had storm damage (several sections of shingles blown off) and MAC helped me through the process of working with my insurer for replacement of the entire roof with beautiful architectural shingles. Nolan Didonato was my project manager and he made the entire process 100% seamless. Any concerns that I had during the process were addressed quickly and professionally. MAC has also adapted very well to COVID - doing business virtually (ability to e-sign all paperwork) and with social distancing. The installation team was great and my entire roof tear-off and replacement was done in a single day! I highly recommend MAC.

We had our roof and siding on our house replaced by MAC and are extremely pleased with their work. They are very professional and courteous. Everything was cleaned up after they were finished and our house looks beautiful! Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality work! Thank you MAC!

Mid Atlantic did an excellent job with the roof replacement on our house. The roofing crew was very professional and did an excellent job with the roof replacement and an outstanding job with the cleanup when they were finished. Nolan was great to work with and did a fantastic job working with our insurance company to get everything taken care of, and was very quick to get back to us with any questions we had. All around great experience working with them and would highly recommend them.

I had my roof replaced and worked with Tyler G. He provided excellent service and I would highly recommend him. The work was as painless as it could be. Tyler and Mac handled the insurance company with minimal input on my part. The roof work was quick and professional and I haven't had a problem with the roof so far. I would definitely recommend you at least get an estimate since there is no cost. Worse case you can always go somewhere else.

Mid Atlantic Construction (MAC) did a great job with our roof project! Our project manager was Dave Vanorsdale and we could not have asked for a more friendly professional person to help guide us through the process of repairing our roof. When I first learned how the storm specialist would work directly with my insurance company, I was skeptical and concerned about communication. The communication with Dave was transparent, timely, and prompt. The installation crew was on time, professional, hardworking, and this was all reflected in the workmanship. It was so refreshing to have a contractor working at the house that genuinely took pride in their work. When given the opportunity to quote for work items not covered by the insurance MAC quoted very fair and reasonable pricing to complete those work items. This would have been a chance for a less reputable company to take advantage and gouge a homeowner, but much to their credit MAC did not and gave us very reasonable pricing. I would recommend Mid Atlantic Construction to anyone that has storm related damage and needs help getting your home repaired.

I had some damage on my roof and once the paperwork got moving it was fairly seamless. We picked out the style and color we wanted and got the work scheduled. Tyler was
great about keeping me informed and followed up on a few concerns during the work. He completed everything in a fairly short time, weather complicated the follow up. MAC was great and Tyler did exactly what it took to finish a great roof replacement.

It was great working with MAC. They filed all of the insurance paperwork and installed my roof in a day. One of the workers slightly damaged the attic in my garage, but was quick to alert me and then send out someone the next day to fix the damage, free of charge. Would definitely recommend them.

I was really excited to work with MAC to get my roof changed. We started on 03/04/2020 after signing a paper which I was told is to authorize MAC a right to represent to insurance company and there is no legal binding. MAC stated that once insurance company approves your claim, we will go ahead with roof replacement with upgraded shingles and a promotional offer.
My claim was approved and my first payment was issued on 03/12/2020. MAC reached out to me and said that the estimate is low and they want to further negotiate with insurance company. On 04/09/2020 a revised estimate was shared with me by my insurance company.
Now this time MAC called me and told that they won't be replacing my garage roof and the approved estimate is low. And if I want to get my garage replaced, either I have to pay from out of my pocket or file a new claim. I was shocked as I was not planned for this situation. MAC representative came again and took garage pictures. And then there was a long wait. In the mean while, I called my insurance company and they told me that the supplement request your contractor sent in was only for the roof of the main house. This is a usual trap that some contractors go for after approval and suggested me to take second opinion from some other contractor.
I waited for 10-11 weeks and when there was no response, I reached out to another contractor and he was glad to do the roof replacement for my home and garage in the approved estimate within a week.
For almost 12 weeks this thing was delayed by MAC just for more money and to exploit the situation. On top of this, when I told MAC that I don't want to go ahead with this anymore, I was threatened to pay a breach of contract fee of 30% of approved estimate (approx $3550) and was with court order.
This is highly unethical and unprofessional. I gave MAC 3 months to work on this case, and they just used it to mint more and more money. They had least concern that my roof is getting damaged further with every rain/storm and could damage my house.

If Dave Vanorsdale of Mid Atlantic Construction of VA & MD did not know his job so well we would not have even known that we had roof damage. Dave was a pleasure to work and always returned my calls and answered my questions. He explained everything thoroughly. The job was very efficient and the cleanup was excellent.

David's team finished my roof in less time than expected, AND it LOOKS GREAT! The crew cleaned up well afterwards (they even picked up debris that blew into my neighbors' yards). MAC earned my recommendation.

shared my concerned with your company to my insurance company.
1. Your delay in giving me a quote in window. Other window companies gave me a quote the same day they measured or the next day. I asked you at least 5 times for the cost. At one point I ask you ‘Are you holding the quote hostage’
2. Your dishonesty about the subcontractor for my Windows.
You said they weren’t sub and they said they were subcontractors.
3. One of the other window companies wanted to do a complete job for my house. Using terms like ‘Rake’ ‘Facia boards’ Offering the option of capping the wood pieces around my bay window and my chimney.
4 - I asked you about the wood around my chimney and you dismissed me.
5 - It wasn’t until I asked you about these items that you proclaimed that now I want extra saw the cost of the windows was going to change. As if it were my job to know what these words even were.
6. And your attitude toward this was accusing at some point.
7 - I’m just surprised you didn’t offer (my wood, cap the Rake boards, Cap the wood around my bay window) when we discussed my repairs. It’s like you want to do the cheapest.
8. I am sorry I’ve lost confidence in you and in your company. I don’t believe you have my best interest at heart. I believe you put me off about the windows because I was insignificant. Asking for or five times and you not replying is rude.
I suggest you look at yourself in your behavior and see if that was good customer service: (I have copies of all of out texts)
I do not believe it was.
- Lying about who was a sub and who wasn’t. (Sofo said to me he was a sub contractor)
- Putting me off five times when I wanted a quote on the windows.
- Lashing out at me when I asked a question about the Rake boards. As if I’m supposed to know about the construction of windows and the ability to Wood trim.
- And then the threat of being sued that’s just a topping of the cake
I am still self quarantined

My experience with MAC was great. They did all of the insurance filing for me which was nice, but I had to pursue them to schedule my job. I am told that had to do with some employee turn over and my file getting lost, but once that got sorted out they were very communicative and punctual. I hope to have no problem and so far I have not. The office staff and the site workers were all very nice!

We recently had our roof replaced by Mid Atlantic Construction(MAC). MAC provided a free roof inspection and assisted in the entire process with my insurance company from beginning to end. My Project Manager Tyler Grantz was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful in keeping me informed on the project status and addressing all of my questions and concerns. I was happy with the crew and the end results. I strongly recommend MAC and Tyler Grantz as the Project Manager if anyone is considering roof replacement or other home improvement work.

They replaced my roof and gutters due to storm damage. They worked with my insurance to get it covered. Seemed great. But, they showed up on my property unannounced for part of the repair that was not ready (i.e. replacing the gutters before doing the roof). They would not leave the property and I had to threaten to call the police. After the roof was done, I got a leak. I called them several times and with no call back. Someone came out and said there was nothing wrong with the roof. Even after I showed them the hole in my master bedroom ceiling. It was easier to call someone else. DO NOT use MAC.

I have been approved since August 2019 to have my roof replaced. It is now December 2019 and I have not heard from this company. No one will call me back and let me know when my roof will be installed. Does anyone know when you sign the paper when they come around to your door how long is that valid? I would like for someone else to do my roof.
The first guy did the appointment with my insurance guy then he quit. I called the main number and was notified my account was assigned to someone else. That guy called me the same day and proceeded to ask the insurance company for more money. My insurance has informed them that they will not pay any more money until the work is done. I have called this company three times they say the managers yare reviewing my account and have told me that they will call me back and no one has called me back yet. Does anyone know how I can find anyone else to do this work?

They were amazing and soooo professional; they made sure to communicate all facets of the process to me and my husband to contact our insurance company about the hail and wind damage. If you need a new roof or not sure; give them a call!!! ~ Jackie Gomez

We have been thrilled with the work provided by MAC. We had our roof, trim, and gutters replaced, and the result is beautiful. The employees were very competent, professional, and quick. Sean Kelly, our project manager, was very helpful. He was easy to reach, and he took time to explain the process and answer questions.

This is the second time I’ve used MAC and I couldn’t be happier! About ten years ago they replaced my siding and did an awesome job back then. This time they are replacing my roof and are just as good today as they were back then. They are fast, courteous and have kept me updated in the process every step of the way. They also do an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards too. I couldn’t ask for a better experience!

My roof was replaced by MAC after being damaged by wind and hail. The entire process was very professional, and we could not be happier. I worked with Ricky who walked me through each step. He took the time to explain the repair process, and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend MAC.

The Mid Atlantic Team was helpful and knowledgeable through the insurance claim process. After my roof was replaced, I had minimal siding damage which was quickly identified by the contractor and replaced without question. I would recommend MAC for anyone questioning which roofing company is best for Them.

DO NOT USE This company. Their contractor Derek was working in our neighbors roof and I asked him for an estimate for our roof. It was the highest estimate that I received, I got 3, but he was able to get my insurance company to pay for everything. He made a bunch of promises and then left the company. Now I got billed for for over $4,000 of fees from miss communication and I still have a leak. Don't trust them!!!!! They are storm chasers

MAC did a great job on my roof. The contractor Matt Cruz is amazing and got my roof installation squared away in a quick and timely manner.

MidAtlantic Construction replaced our roof due to hail damage. They were very friendly and efficient from the initial inspection to the clean up after the job was completed. They assigned one project manager, Rashad Henderson, to our job who came and worked with the inspector, submitted the estimate to the insurance company, stopped by our house several times to drop off shingle samples, scheduled the re-roofing, and followed up afterwards. The workers were efficient and courteous. They cleaned up everything afterwards and picked up virtually all of the scrap nails. Rashad worked with the insurance company up to the final settlement. I highly recommend MAC.

This review was originally posted in 2018: Mid Atlantic Construction wrongfully accused me of insurance fraud and tried to bully me into paying a bill I didn't owe. They accused me of keeping a check from my insurance company instead of giving it to them... which didn't happen. The stress of dealing with MAC started the day after our contract was signed in June 2018. Ten months after the roof was complete I had the misfortune of dealing with two rude and incompetent service managers from MAC. They both accused me of insurance fraud, threatened me with their attorney, a collection agency, a lien on our house and hung up on me two times. Finally a conference call was placed between my insurance company, MAC and myself. My insurance company told MAC they did NOT send me a check because they didn't receive the Certificate of Completion from them stating the job was complete. That’s when MAC checked their records and found out they never sent the COC to my insurance company. The COC was signed on July 18, 2018… that was 10 months ago. In the end neither one of the service managers at MAC took the time to apologize to me. Until they clean house and get rid of incompetent workers my advice is to STAY AWAY from Mid Atlantic Construction.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
