We started our design process in 2023 and have enjoyed working with MGM through every phase of construction. We have a home that is exactly what we dreamed, built with high craftsmanship, for a great value.

MGM designed and built my new home that was completed in January of 2025. I can't recommend MGM more strongly. MGM was a dream to work with. They provided outstanding service and attention to detail. They accurately scoped out my project for both timeline and pricing. There were no changes, no surprises, other than what I requested and they handled those with ease and without issues.

MGM's communication was fantastic; I lived 200 miles away and they kept me apprised of the progress throughout the build. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I reached out to MGM Builders via email and phone over the course of a week for a consultation about the building of a new home. Unfortunately, this business ignored every attempt at outreach and never returned a single call or email. Huge red flag - no matter the excuse. Avoid.

We built a home with MGM in Cumberland, ME back in 2021-22. We were extremely pleased with the experience. The design process was easy with Matt and Mike the Owner. Our project manager, Taylor, was fantastic. We've lived in our home a couple years and Taylor still quickly responds with any questions that we have. The subcontractors were also very skilled and professional. We built in a development with several other builders, and I can say that most did not have as great of an experience as we did with MGM. Overall, I would highly recommend them to anyone and would use them again if I built another home.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Eric and his team at MGM Builders on the construction of our new home by Sebago Lake in Casco, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, they were professional, approachable, and dedicated to bringing our vision to life.

Their network of subcontractors is second to none – whether it was choosing kitchen cabinets or installing the heating system, every detail was handled by experts who clearly take pride in their work. What impressed me most was how well they managed communication; they were always prompt in addressing any concerns and made sure we were kept in the loop at every stage.

Staying within budget can be one of the most stressful parts of building a home, but Eric and his team made it seem effortless, without compromising on quality. The materials used were top-notch, contributing to the overall excellent finish of our house.

We had a fantastic experience with MGM on a new home build completed in 2023. They were great partners to work with. Throughout the entire build experience, they were excellent to communicate with. Our project manager was incredibly detail oriented, thorough, and is looking out for our best interest to ensure the final product is very high quality. In particular, they are very transparent and informed us of anything that may need to be adjusted or potential risks as early as possible; we never felt like we were caught off-guard.

There were a few times we had to make some trade-off decisions about what to invest in, and MGM was really helpful to point out where it makes sense to invest, or even propose some alternatives. For example, we originally planned for a large back deck, but were wrestling with whether we want to upgrade to a different heating system. They helped propose a different smaller deck design that is still very functional and helped offset the cost of the heating system.

Overall the experience was very much unlike a remodel project we did at a previous house in a different state, which was a horrible experience. In that experience, the company looking out for the biggest profit margin, picking sub-par contractors that really weren't committed to doing a quality job, and had to redo things many times. We went into this home build very worried about the process, but MGM has thoroughly changed our impression of the build process.

We would not hesitate to pick MGM for any project in the future, and enthusiastically recommend them.

We can't say enough positive things about our entire experience working with MGM Builders, who built our home in 2022. As business owners, my wife and I understand the absolute need for crystal clear communication during a project as complex as a custom home build. Working with Taylor Manning as our PM was a perfect fit in every aspect of build. He was attentive, responsive, and executed on every promise and timeline agreed upon. From a design perspective, we also couldn't have ask for a more positive experience working with their Interior Designer, Matt Nollette. From the onset, Matt understood our vision and designed us an interior and exterior that checked all of our boxes. All of his ideas and suggestions were fresh and on point. Both Taylor and Matt were always accessible, and worked in a very prompt and efficient manner. We equally had a very positive experience with all the crew and Subs, as well as MGM's office staff. We are now a year living in our house and couldn't be happier.

I was excited to hear about this business and the great reviews since we were looking to update our colonial home with new siding, windows, garage doors and build a portico over our front door. I met with Phil, the renovations manager, in April of 2022. He came to our home and we discussed the details of our project. I also photocopied our house plans for him to assist with dimensions for the proposal. Then, nothing. Months went by, I assumed they were busy, heading into summer. I followed up with Phil in September of 2022, looking for the proposal. He informed me he thought he sent it yet couldn't find it in his sent email. Phil then asked me to resend the house plans to put together a new proposal. He could not find any of the information I gave him. I photocopied everything again and followed up with him in a week to ensure he received all the materials. It is now December 2022....still never received a proposal. I've wasted months with this company and am now forced to start all over searching for a new company to execute our renovations. I would be weary to use this company given there is no communication.

We used MGM to build our home. From the design to the move in, they were a dream to work with. They never batted an eye at the obscure requests we had (we legitimately asked for a catio...), nor did they adjust the quality down because some of the requests were for pet specific things. The home fits us to a T and that is entirely because they were so attentive to our requests and open to changing things as we needed. All of the employees I interacted with were incredibly professional, kind and welcoming.

Pinching myself. The team at MGM did everything they could to bring our vision to a reality -- and we are particular! MGM takes pride in their work and their passion for building comes through in the details. The professionalism and customer service unmatched. We were lucky to have Taylor, Mike, Chelsea and Matt help us build our dream home! Can't wait to work with them again in the future. We highly recommend this team!

MGM was up front about all costs throughout our build. They were very communicative the entire time. Taylor was our project manager and he exceeded all expectations along the way. Every change order we had he was very helpful with and took care of things very quickly. Chelsea in the office was outstanding at keeping all of the #s organized so I knew exactly what was owed and when along the way. The quality of their work is top notch. If we were to build again in the future we would not use anybody else.

Our home was completed on time and within 4 months. The collaboration and communication with us was amazing. The home building experience should be like this every time.

My wife and I recently had a house build by MGM and were very pleasantly surprised about how smooth everything went. We had heard so many horror stories about how stressful it is to build a house. Additionally, we were pregnant at the time (baby to be born mid-way through the build) and living in a small (temporary) apartment since we had already sold our previous place. So, we were expecting a rough time coming our way. However, Taylor and the whole MGM team made the whole process so easy and really were with us every step of the way. From customizing the design to fit our requirements (baby + home office) to handling some unexpected surprises the town threw our way (not MGMs fault :-) ). We've now been in the house for about 8 months and can also confidently say that the building quality is superb. There were a few (very minor) items that we noticed after the fact but all it took was a quick text to Taylor and he had someone come out right away to fix it. We can highly recommend MGM for your next building project!

Working with MGM since 2012 now, installing their fireplaces. As a team they definitely build some of the most impressive homes in the area. Don't worry about the stress of construction planning, MGM will have your back the whole way through.

We were initially drawn to MGM after we came across one of their home designs that ticked almost all of the boxes on our wish list. We had not yet done any research on local builders and hoped that the design we loved was matched with an experienced builder with a high standard for quality and craftsmanship. Building a home is a journey from start to finish, especially as a first-time home builder. From the start, the team at MGM Builders made the process feel manageable. The tools they have put in place for their clients help organize the project from start to finish and provide a sense of ease along the way. MGM Builders renovated our 1980s kitchen, and the results are stunning! They only work with sub-contractors who are equally as honest, skilled and trustworthy as they are. They completed our project in 6 weeks which included installing a new beam, knocking down walls, new flooring, plumbing/heating, electric, cabinetry & appliances. The quality of work is outstanding. In addition, we were told up front what to expect and that, above all, they would respect our lives and property as though they were their own. I HIGHLY recommend MGM Builders!
