Good product but who ever went cheap on the little white product lables on the 12' galvi sheets should be made to remove 100 of them with razor blade and goofoff for a punishment. Ever heard of easy off lables? It took me more time to take the stinking labels off than it did to install these sheets on the roofs. Baaaaaaa!

I have the greatest experience with Metal Sales each and every time I call or e-mail them. First, a real person answers the phone. Second, my rep is responsive, patient, and efficient. Shout out to Bianca!
I don't understand the negative reviews regarding not selling to the public. They're a manufacturing company. If I wanted to inquire about a new Chevy I wouldn't go to the manufacturer, I would go to a Chevy DEALER.
Anyway, my orders are always correct, deliveries are on time and as promised. Placing orders is very easy. I couldn't be happier with their service or products.

I'd like to give them 4.5 stars if I could, but I rounded up to 5 because of the overwhelmingly bad reviews! I've been working on a project and have had to get several different supplies from Metal Sales. Each time, everyone has been courteous, accurate, and thorough.

My only complaint is that they don't sell directly to the public, so ordering something involves some amount of rigamarole. Any issues have occurred in that third party space, but were quickly resolved.

Jee, who does ordering from Home Depot, has been especially accommodating and friendly. She rocks!!

Here’s my honest experience with metal sales. I’ve been there multiple times buying diverse miscellaneous materials and the impression that I have for this company is very positive. They’re nice , they have the stuff that I need the great majority of the time. They’re pros at what they do that’s what I have to say.

Not sure about the complaints from other users -- perhaps it should be stated that this is not a retail operation and thus B2C customer service and expectations of a storefront are not reasonable expectations. From my perspective as B2B supplier Metal Sales products, price, and professionalism are top notch.

Attempted to haul a load of product from this business to a very remote destination. Customer service is very poor. Waited almost 3 hours to be loaded, then left without the load. No attempts by the business to update on their delays. Really really bad customer service. Front desk staff could care less about customer service. Loading staff states long waits is just how it is. They had no problem loading their own company trucks while brokered trucks wait and wait. You may want to avoid this place or atleast be sure you have detention pay in writing before you chance it.

Worst customer service you could imagine. I called the company directly to ask about a product and was told they don’t sell to the public. They told me to contact a retailer, the retailer knew nothing about their product and called the manufacturer back to ask them the same question that I had just tried to ask them. In the end I was told to look at their website and when I found the product I wanted have the retailer order it. It is like they literally do not want to sell their products they gave me no information and no method of ordering them.

I agree with the other review stating that Metal Sales doesn’t seem to care about your business. As homeowners, several thousand dollars towards a roof means a lot to our pocketbook but it’s been made clear to us by Metal Sales’ poor customer service that our money and business is beneath them. We had ordered through a home improvement store, as Metal Sales doesn’t deal with the public directly. We received the “charcoal” colored roof, ordered from looking at a one inch square if color on a brochure, all Metal Sales had given the home improvement store. I didn’t bother to look online as I didn’t trust the color variations of computer monitors. We received the roof and it’s not charcoal- it’s a mid-tone battleship grey. We contacted Metal Sales directly by both phone and email, thinking we got the wrong color, and they sent a short email reply stating we had to contact the home improvement store rep we ordered through if we had a problem as they don’t deal with the public directly. The home improvement store had issues contacting the Metal Sales rep, who was at a sales conference. The home improvement store rep finally got ahold of their rep, who offered 10% off a new roof- take it or leave it. Not willing to be turned away so quickly, we eventually got ahold of a real person at Metal Sales directly, who said they wanted to work with us and help. Then the woman at Metal Sales offered the same 10% off our next order, if we wanted to order a whole new roof in a different roof color. We were still trying to get an answer as to why the roof we received was called “charcoal” when it was not. Even the guy at the home improvement store agreed that the color was not what would be considered charcoal. We offered to pay Metal Sales for any restocking fees if Metal Sales would take back the off-colored roof so we could actually get a roof that was a charcoal color. The woman we were working with at Metal Sales said she’d talk to her supervisors and see what she could do to make us happy. And that was the last we heard from her. We called a few weeks later to see what was going on and this time the customer service woman at Metal Sales almost seemed annoyed that we had called back. She offered nothing beyond the initial 10% off and the (way too late) information that the home improvement store we were working with could order more shades of grey than the rep at the store was aware of. Very, very frustrating. We cannot afford a whole new roof and are now stuck with a color we didn’t want. Shame on Metal Sales for their indifference. And to think, we were so happy to support a USA company with USA workers. Turns out they don’t support Americans in response. Their products look like they’ll last but beware, their customer service is non-existent and you’ll be left feeling like you’re a pebble in their shoe if there’s a problem with your order.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
