We had a great experience with Sean. He will return your calls in timely manner, answers all the questions and very knowledgeable and didn’t push sales but suggested what is needed for our situation. We installed panels, Powerwall and charger outlet for our EV and happy with the outcome. We did have a little hiccup with installation process with Pacific Energy and electricians but they are minor and they fixed the issue. I will recommend Sean for anyone who is thinking of adding solar on Maui.

I was 100% satisfied with all phases of the project. Sean's follow up was exceptional throughout the process. He explained everything, and we modified the design to optimize performance once he had a better understanding of actual shading patterns throughout the day. We had 20 panels and 2 Tesla Powerwalls installed on a tight deadline to complete before end of year, and the service was clean and professional. I highly recommend Sean and this company!

I was very satisfied with the entire process from end-to-end. Sean was very helpful talking through options and answering my initial questions. After deciding on the size and details of the system, Sean was very helpful in talking through financing options. Once the financing was in place, the team quickly scheduled and installed the PV system and battery. It only took a few days to get the system installed and energized. After the install, Sean met with me again to go over the Tesla app for the battery. He also left me with a jar of some awesome local honey as a "thank you". I highly recommend Sean and the rest of the Pacific Energy (Maui Solar) team and would use them again the future.

We had a positive experience working with Sean/ Maui Sun Solar on our Wailea home solar installation. He coordinated the installation with our roofing company and everything went smoothly. Solar panels & batteries were installed super fast and functioned immediately. Permitting, installation and final inspections were completed promptly. CAUTION- this company does not appear to be a legitimate solar energy installation company. Hawaii DCCA BREG shows this company started 3/24/2023; there's no way they could have performed all the projects shown on their website in 1-year. Website does not include an address or contractors license number, which is required under Hawaii contractor law. The Maui Sun Solar website shows similar information as Pacific Energy. Please research this company before doing business with them; if they mislead you about their business what else will they mislead you about?

At our home it was time to upgrade the roof. We figured it would also be prime time to upgrade our solar system! We asked around and our neighbors recommended that we contact Sean as he had done a few of the other homes on our street and he came highly recommended. Within a few months we had our new roof and a top of the line replacement solar system up and running! Very happy with the entire process!

Wanting to become more self-sufficient and not be as reliant on HECO we decided to have a solar system installed at our home, we got in touch with Sean based on a recommendation from a friend of ours that had a system installed by his team and were very happy with the experience.

We have an existing solar system and we were getting some larger overcharges due to running the AC more, we wanted to add Tesla backup storage to our system, all of our neighbors recommended Maui Sun Solar, they had their systems installed by them and were happy with the process and service, we contacted Sean, he came out the same day looked over our existing system in person and looked over everything on the county records, he then designed us an additional add on system to handle our overcharges and added in two Tesla Powerwalls to round out the system, everything went very smooth and we would recommend them to anyone who wants to get a solar system or add on to a existing system!

We were planning to add a solar system to our home in late 2022, and after carefully looking into all our options, we chose Maui Solar Sun. Sean came out the next day to meet with us in person. He went over the electrical path of the home and designed the system on site. He explained everything to us in detail, answered our questions, and picked the best spot for the Tesla powerwalls. The installation went smoothly, and the installation crew was professional and easygoing.

We've had solar for less than a year, and our area has already experienced some power outages that did not affect our household or those with solar. Then, there was the Lahaina fires, and with the power out on the West Side, we realized how essential it is to have backup power and not depend on HECO. During this time, we were able to offer assistance to our neighbors who needed refrigeration and a place to charge their electronics. Solar with battery backup is necessary, and we chose the right company for their service and support.

My system was installed 3 weeks ahead of the originally scheduled installation date. The system was installed along with the battery and it is comforting to have the backup power. This was a very good investment and it should have long lasting benefits. Mahalo!

Sean was absolutely stellar to work with! He’s professional, and his communication throughout the process is timely, efficient and supportive of questions that come up as your solar research and knowledge gain momentum. He explains things thoroughly and articulately.

He laid out the anticipated plan of power walls and panels, a timeline for us, and facilitated the panel placement and electrician technicians when we approached that portion of the process. Even after our solar setup was complete, and everyone is loving it (our dog included!), Sean has remained available. Working with Maui Sun Solar has been a great experience! From the initial meeting, all the way through project completion, the team has been in constant communication and was always there to answer my questions. The Installer’s were amazing and did a great job.

Sean and the Maui Sun Solar team did a great job of getting our project done. We were the first condo unit to attempt to get the solar done through our HOA without having the unit pre-wired. I would recommend them to anyone who wants solar.

As new homeowners to the solar panel market we were somewhat overwhelmed with the product choices and nuanced pricing. We contacted Sean at Maui Sun Solar and he was quick to come to our house prepared to review our needs and evaluate our sun exposure. He explained the panel choices in detail without pressure and soon was able to produce an effective design and install proposal. The office staff were then exceptionally friendly to work with without any hard sell. Within a month we had our system both permit approved and installed to our satisfaction. The amount of power we are now generating exceeds our prior expectations and we are happy with the end result. Sean has also continued to check in with us on how our system is operating. Maui Sun Solar is the "A" team to work with for your solar system!

I've used Maui Sun Solar twice, and been very happy with the quality of their work, the system overall, and the interactions I've had with Sean. Both times I've had solar panels installed and the 2nd time also a battery - both systems have significantly reduced/eliminated my electric bill, thanks to their ability to get me connected with the right MECO program.

I’m very satisfied with the quality as well as the speed of their work. People showed up on time or sooner than expected (project timeline) which was awesome. Originally had them come out and put in a partial system about five years ago and just finished it off, by adding a power wall and extra panels. They are great people and being easy to talk to is a bonus.

We've used Maui Sun Solar twice, once last year to install a 16 panel array and a Tesla Powerwall plus battery and again this year to add on to our system by adding 7 more panels an an additional Powerwall battery. Both times they started on our project within a couple weeks of signing the contract, the install crews were courteous, professional, and efficient. The quality of the installation was top notch.

My neighbor referred me to these guys and I'm glad he did. They're professional, easy to work with and have exquisite customer service. I ordered 14 panels and a Tesla powerwall. They had two teams working simultaneously, one for the electrical work (battery, inverter etc) and one for the roof-job (rails, panels etc). They were done in no time and I've been off-grid ever since. They even came back a couple of weeks later after a Kona storm to secure some noisy conduits on the roof. 5 stars all-around
